Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Ritvs | Ritvs, the Kraut & Heavy Rock band from Aschaffenburg (formerly known as Vvlva) is starting an exciting new chapter with their first all-German album. RITVS may be new in name, but their history starts earlier. Under the preceding band name Vvlva, the band released a couple albums and a couple EPs of studiously vintage early hard rock / proto-metal. And the German quintet continue this backwards-looking path with the new moniker RITVS as a “new” old approach: exquisitely rustic late ‘70s sounds spanning hard rock, prog, AOR, and even late-days krautrock.

Search | Add | 4 | OO Soul | OO Soul | Formed in 1994 and based in Long Beach, CA, OO Soul is a gritty reflection of the diverse urban culture they hail from. With its notorious reputation for the seedier side of life, it’s no wonder that the local underground has chosen OO Soul as its soundtrack. The music of this “Eight Piece Brotherhood” funks so hard that it will take two washings to get its smell out of your threads. Founded upon the simple premise of creating a live dance band, OO Soul blends classic soul, R&B, and Latin grooves — reminiscent of the JBs and War — all updated nicely with a young, fresh, aggressive edge. Instrumental Soul, Funk and Latin (Afro-Cuban). The artist's name is two zeros, a dash then Soul (like 007 James Bond). OO-Soul has been used in several song names and at least one movie title. |

He was a roadie on Motorheads’ first tour with Hawkwind in 1976. From 1979 to 1981 he worked in Wessex Studio, Highbury working alongside master engineer Jeremy Greene. From 1996 to 1999 he played keys with London R & B unit The Fireflies. Around 1990 he met John Thomson, the concert piano player and improviser and worked for two years on structured improvisations for two pianos/four hands. He was with the Royal Shakespeare Company from the 1990's - 2007. In 2003 he formed the acoustic blues jam unit 6 O’clock Shadow with Richie Storry and Oli Bigland, playing with guest artists such as Dave Carrol, Greg Hicks, He went on to become a freelance theatrical wire rigger for Ragdoll Children’s TV Productions. In 2007 he took a break to Byron Bay, Australia where he met Vasudha Harte and they formed the band Dinkum Bohos. He continues to work on his solo projects, gigs, live improvisations with Daevid Allen as well as working with other Byron Bay artists. Jem Edwards first worked with VASUDHA HARTE The pianist, composer and Musical Director in 2007 during a theatrical production at Byron Theatre. He was to later discover her songwriting talents and they formed the formidable DINKUM BOHOS, a vehicle for duets from both multi-instrumentalists in a truly eclectic mix of genres and styles from around the world and through history. Dinkum Bohos have an extensive repertoire that draws upon inspiration from around the globe: flamenco, tango, jazz, blues, gypsy, folk, cabaret, ambient, songs in French, Spanish, Greek, Italian, Indian dhrupad and mantra. Vasudha Harte has gained recognition as a multi talented performer in and around the Byron Bay area, Northern NSW, Australia. Vasudha has become known for her unique, distinctive original repertoire. Her songs are intimate and universal and embrace a melting pot of musical styles: modern classical pop, jazz groove, blue world tango folk cabaret and rap. Her lyrics skillfully combine heart, humour, intelligence and storytelling. As musician, songstress and poet she captivates audiences with her alluring, free-wheeling vocals, passionate piano playing, relaxed stage presence and vibrant persona. Vasudha has performed extensively as a solo musician around Australia and Asia, launching her debut CD Bootleg in Byron Bay 2003. A singer and pianist/keyboard player with many different ensembles, she has supported Australian jazz veteran Don Burrows and UK psychedelic aficionados Gong. She has performed and recorded with musical luminaries such as James Cruickshank (Cruel Sea), Louis Burdett, Fantuzzi and Daevid Allen. An Actor and Musical Director for many local theatre productions, she composed arranged and played music to the words of Shakespeare, Lewis Carrol, the Capek brothers and others. Experienced in improvisation and character work, both musically and in playing roles, she performed her own one woman show Eye Scream in Mullumbimby and has appeared on many stages, art galleries and festivals, including seven Splendour in the Grass Festivals in Byron Bay, Woodford Folk Festivals and international festivals with Dinkum Bohos. Also a radio presenter on Bay FM community radio Byron Bay since 1998, Vasudha presented various styles of programs including the popular eclectic breakfast show “The Best Dressed Chickens in Town” with Vasudha and Jem. “A creative cornerstone of the community” Byron Shire Echo Dinkum Bohos come from a freewheeling bohemian tradition that’s rooted in Australia’s rustic heart. Weaned on travels through deep dangerous hinterland and golden east coast beaches, they present an Australian take on music for runaway romantics. A sonic tour de force, Dinkum Bohos feature adventurous velvet vocals, funky piano artistry, dazzling guitar wizardry and idiosyncratic drums. Jem Edwards played at the legendary Stonehenge 1976-78, Glastonbury 1977 and Rivington Pike 1977 free festivals. He was a roadie on Motorheads’ first tour with Hawkwind in 1976. From 1979 to 1981 he lent his talents to London’s Wessex Studios working alongside Master engineer Jeremy Greene, remixing for the likes of The Damned and The Theatre of Hate and ripped up the Bussendorfe with Jeremy on guitar on the duos lost tapes sessions. In 1978 he met Patron of the Arts Fred Koch who commissioned ensemble and orchestral pieces through The Arthur Foundation NY and The New York Arts Foundation, enabling him to manuscript solo, ensemble and orchestral pieces (presently being recorded by John Thompson of Penzance and soon to be released ‘Speculations for Piano’) and made the move to London. Between 1978 and 1984 he graced the bandstands in London where he delivered his uncompromising and avant-guard piano playing (Almeida Theatre Bar/Ivories,Bass Clef ). In 1983 Jem and Fred initiated the benefaction of the Swan Theatre, a gift to the people of Stratford and the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon. In the early 80’s Jem played with Paper House, a Post Punk New Wave outfit based in North London, performing regular gigs at the Brixton Archway Studios behind the now sadly defunct Desmond’s Hip City record store on the Railton Road, with jazz percussionist Andy Leopard, Oxford Music Collectives performance of Terry Riley’s “In C”, The Abstracts (Mark Gibbons), Void Litter with Simon Gilbert (Suede), Jerry Bewley (Oxo, Entropy, Kangaroo Moon, The Egg) and Chris Pinder (Oxo,Pinder),Ed Alleyne-Johnson (New Model Army) recording one EP with David Brown of Limit Mobile Audio where he first recorded ‘Continuum for piano and digital delay’. When Fela Kuti was jailed for 5 years in 1981 after carrying $50,000 US out of Nigeria, the band was left in London without a keyboard player, Jem stepped up on keys and the band Blue was born. From 1996 to 1999 he played keys with London R & B unit The Fireflies. A key organiser in Birmingham’s first Fireworks Fantasia (1991) Jem’s band The Eagles Gift performed to an audience of over a million. He was active at that time with reeds and woodwind player Martin Robinson, (Simon Fell and the Frakture Big Band, Mamadou and the Super Libidor Band) playing Irish sets, free improvisations and general lunacy on a variety of bandstands ranging from Birmingham Conservatoire to Westminster Cathedral. He formed a song writing partnership with Craig Hammond, recording several solo efforts playing all instruments himself, a skill he eventually found an outlet for in DINKUM BOHOS which incorporates flamenco guitar, steel string, spanish, lap steel, electric guitars along with vibraphone, piano, keyboards, drum kit, percussion and vocals. Around 1990 he met John Thomson the concert piano player and improviser and worked for two years on structured improvisations for two pianos/four hands performing around Warwickshire and initiating the first public performances of some of his series of manuscripted piano works called Speculations. John Thomson is an established concert pianist who trained at the Royal Academy of Music and continued his training at the Budapest Academy. Now living in Penzance Cornwall UK, they met up in 2011 and began preliminary talks on the recording of all 14 pieces which have been re-edited over the years and a new cycle of piano works. Whilst with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the 90’s, The Summer House installation (originally installed at The Serpentine, London) rigged outside the old Main House, hosted a variety of international acts during the 2001 season. The Summer House Productions were created by Jem and legendary sound man Tim McCormick, former Deputy Head of sound at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester(Klark Teknik, RSC,Cowboy Junkies). He performed with Dave Carroll (Steve Gibbons Band) in the award winning 2004 Spanish Season as part of the RSC’s special events team working with Fiona Lindsay (Face to Face at the Arts). 2003 saw the formation the acoustic blues jam unit 6 O’clock Shadow with Richie Storry and Oli Bigland playing with guest artists such as Greg Hicks (RSC) and Damien Kearney( The Wind that Shakes the Barley). He recorded at Andy Bird’s Darkstone Studios in Warwickshire with Richie and made solo recordings at Windmill Studios, Harbury. The band organised several charity musical events with various members of the Royal Shakespeare Company from 2000 – 2005 performing at the Swan Theatre and local venues. He went on to become a freelance theatrical wire rigger for Ragdoll Children’s TV Productions co-designing the rig which flew the Pinkyponk for the award winning In The Night Garden Production working along side cult film director Dirk Campbell (I Bought A Vampire Motorcyle 1990), Tony Wood (Arclight Productions) and Pob. Taking a break from it all, embarking on the surfing trip to Australia in 2007 which saw the temporary end to 6 O’clock Shdaow and inevitably ended up in musician/surfing mecca Byron Bay. Theatre manager Greg Aitken( Byron Bay International Film Festival) invited him to design a set for a production of Karel Čapek’s play The Life of The Insects, which he happily did in exchange for unlimited time playing their Grade D Steinway Grand Piano. It was during the get-in that he first met VASUDHA HARTE, pianist, composer and Musical Director of the show. He was to later discover her songwriting genius and many midnight duets later these two consummate musicians paired up to form a formidable duo playing musique originale in their band DINKUM BOHOS. Dinkum Bohos journeyed overseas in 2011 performing at various festivals and events Rhythm Tree Festival IoW, Buddhafield, Watchet, Swindon, St.Ives UK and at private functions throughout France and Spain .Jem has released many albums on Bandcamp https://jemedwards.bandcamp.com the quadruple triptych Social Music being music from his archive from 1977 to the present day featuring Jem’s visceral solo piano compositions, free improvisations and avant-guarde prepared piano pieces and also featuring guest artist Vasudha Harte, Max Volume and Bek Phoenix on some tracks.

Search | Add | 4 | Robot Emilio | Robot Emilio was formed in mid-2019, when Eduardo Chirinos (vocals and guitar of Las Ruinas), who had a few new songs, got together with other regular musicians on the Barcelona scene: Carlos Leoz (Half Foot Outside, Me and the Bees, Standstill) on lead guitar, Blanca Lamar (Les Sueques) on bass, and Ángel Garau (Da Souza) on drums. During 2019 and 2020, the band rehearsed the songs from their first album, alternating it with some concerts, but everything stopped with the pandemic. At the end of 2020, the band finally recorded the album in the Ultramarinos studio with Santi García and in mid-2021 there were two changes in the line-up: Lamar and Garau were replaced by Paloma Durán (Walking Lands) and Dani Hun (Maple), respectively. The new band, already consolidated, does a few concerts and in February 2022 publishes the first album called "Al Lío!" with the label Beautyfool Records, 12 powerpop and artpop songs that they presented at various concerts during that year. At the beginning of 2023 they released the single “Le Corbusier” / “Viendo a la gente envejecer online” recorded with Marco Morgione in Micromaltese, and in March they recorded their second album “Vas Tarde” in La Atlántida Estudio with Edgar Beltri and which Caballito Records will publish at the beginning of November.

Search | Add | 4 | Isis Graham | Isis Graham | As the modern era of dance music dawned in the mid 90s, a teenaged Isis Graham (Esette) glued herself to MuchMusic's Electric Circus and absorbed every beat of the house music boom. Every instant moved her to the core of her being: the rainbow of lights, the writhing bodies, the headphoned maestros on the decks. And most of all, that beat. That relentless roll and cycle of kick and snare, hat and keys, bass and vocal, elevating her soul and moving her body in her bedroom all alone. That same teenaged Isis still lives on in the body and mind of one of Calgary's stalwart hubs of community and music. If she ever reflects on that first tentative moment gracing the decks in a warehouse in 1999, does she feel the circle closing? Does she know that the local scene ringleaders she looked up to then, pulling together musicians and artists to create communal spaces of communication and expression, are now her? Music is one thing, and community another, but for Ms. Graham the two are mutually and irrevocably linked. As an ardent believer that progress for one means progress for all, Isis spends as much time tweaking EQs as she spends meeting, collaborating and planning with her musical peers. Ten years of promoting women in dance music as one engine behind Girls On Decks are already behind her (with another lifetimes worth of years ahead), residencies and relationships from gay bars to raves notch her belt, and a current residency at Habitat Living Sound includes not only a monthly night of soulful, techy, deep house, Nu*Movement, but a groundbreaking collaborative music production and networking effort called Studio Social. At the root of it all is the music. The hypnotic, spiritual, relentless music. After collaborating with Western Canadian mainstay Neighbour in 2008, the releases have been coming fast and furious, and only barreling faster as she takes up a leading A/R spot at recently revived Calgary label Substation Recordings. Her sounds are widely strewn across the spectrum of house and independent music – techno and bass are as likely as intimate songwriting fare, and her samples and vibes range from the funky to the deep and back again. The music that drives Isis feeds her soul, and vice versa, and that interplay of perpetual motion will keep this dynamic woman a key piece of Western Canada's musical puzzle for as many years as she can muster. |

Search | Add | 4 | Katia Rocha | Katia Cunha Rocha | Kátia Rocha a brazilian instrumentist, composer and interpret, a more than 10-year-on-the-road artist. A peaceful born under Taurus woman, but a stage-energetic swing musician, Kátia has always had a very eclectic taste for music that ranges from Billie Holliday to “Gonzaguinha “, from “Milton Nascimento” to Jethro Tull. She started her studies on transversal flute during the times she coursed Physical Education in college and when she headed for Rio, she also studied singing, sax, acoustic guitar and musical harmony. Her history with the sax had already begun some years ago, when she got the instrument from her father, and that soon enough seemed awkward and the lady decided to sell it. Barely did she know that the sax would become her main musical instrument at the beginning of her career. In the 80’s, she took part in some bands as “Jogo de Cintura”, on a partnership with Ricco Duarte and as “Confusion Jazz Co.” – dedicated to instrumental music. The experience of The Confusion band was registered on a album that was released in 1992. In 1996, she decided to fly solo with her álbum “Kátia Rocha”, with musical arrangement by Leandro Braga and participations of Zé Renato and Elisa Lucinda, her co-writer for the song Espírito Santinho, one of the 10 songs in the album, which talks about the beauties of their homeland and has become one of the dearest songs for hometowners. The release of this album took place in Carlos Gomes Theatre, in Vitória, with the musical group Boca Livre, and also in Mistura Fina and cultural place for entertainment Sérgio Porto, in Rio de Janeiro, and on with a tour throughout the northwest part of the country, in the Pixinguinha Project with long-time singer João Nogueria, who passed away some years ago. |

Search | Add | 4 | Jody Lo | Jody Gray | Jody Lo born JEAUDI GRAY on August 6th in the small town of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Started to fall in love with hiphop at 8 years old after listening to Back For the First time by Ludacris. Adopted the moniker "Jody Lo" at just 13 years old (influenced by the late Atlanta MC Shawty Lo) after Jody gained a signifigant amount of influence from the era of 2004-2009 with the outbreak of seemingly DIY trap music from artists like Shawty Lo, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Lil Boosie, Zed Zilla and Starlito. At the same time still a child of the "Lil Wayne era" which is evident through the admirable lyrical effort put forth by Jody Lo on each track. After practicing writing and reciting for more than 10 years, Jody Lo hit the studio for the first time at 21 years old when he recorded the hustle & flow mixtape, Substance, substance 1.5 & Sack Religion. Also appeared on Dj Smallz Eyes in a 27 minute interview. For the in depth life story check the DJ smallz eyes interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi27N7565WY&t=47s |
