Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

A veteran of 5,000 radio broadcasts, Duey earned a distinguished reputation as a professional singer during radio's heydey and appeared on many popular national shows before coming to the U-M in 1947. Under his direction, the U-M Men's Glee Club won recognition as the finest male chorus worldwide with first place wins in 1959 and 1963 at the International Musical Eisteddfod competition in Llangollen, Wales -- the first U.S. club to do so. Duey's Glee Clubs also toured Europe, and traveled around the world in 1967. Retiring from the U-M in 1970, Duey moved to Chapel Hill, NC in 1979, three years prior to his death in 1982. Born in Macy, IN, Duey held A.B. and M.Mus. degrees from Indiana University and A.M. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University. He held a three-year scholarship at the Julliard School of Music; taught at the College of the City of New York and The Arthur Jordan Conservatory; and was head of the music department at Butler University. Search | Add | 4 | No Square | Band created in July 1994 around bass player [a=André Hahne]. It is conceived as a collective in which each member can equally express themselves, with a motivation and focus on live performances. The band has therefore performed in many countries worldwide. Their music is built on jazz, with simple catchy melodies wrapped in more complex binary grooves, with a predilection for compound meters and polyrythms.
Search | Add | 4 | Glance of Medusa | Glance of Medusa formed back in 2012 in Athens, Greece. "Solitude" released December 4th by Thirst Records.

Search | Add | 4 | Pat Fontes | Patrick Fontes | Being quoted by his peers as "Mr. Techno" this humble encyclopedia of electronic music knowledge has been there, and done that, and is still finding ways to capture the imagination of others through his music! Pat Fontes' love affair with music began at the tender age of 11 during the early 90s- collecting mix tapes he’d purchased at the local Portuguese market. As a teen he quickly progressed to buying records en mass of garage and house vinyl. By 16 Pat started DJing throughout Boston, and by the early 2000s was managing and later became owner of Satellite Records. During this time Pat was also a resident DJ and manager of the long standing often heralded, Midweek Techno in Cambridge with buddies Soul Clap. As a 22-year industry veteran and local hero Pat Fontes has shared the stage with the likes of Martin Buttrich, Paco Osuna, Timo Maas, Cassy, Pan Pot, The Orb, and Patrice Bamel. Pat’s production style is uniquely his own ranging from upbeat tech house to deep melancholic techno and house. His discography includes releases with Slumber (Amber Cox & Oona Dahl), Martin Eyer, and Derek Marin. In 2017, after being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) Pat began focusing all of his energies towards his love of music and sharing that passion with others. “My emotions run much deeper than I could imagine and I’ve been learning how to leverage this creatively. I haven’t stopped doing what I love for 21 years- and will continue ‘til I physically can’t, and have since left my mark on this world of music and beyond.” Fontes is excited to share his upcoming release on Re.tune and Future is Now Recordings with the world, as well as some gems from techno’s past, present, and future |

Search | Add | 4 | WubsieOnTheTrack | David M. Wubs | At a very young age, David showed remarkable talent in music. He started playing piano at the age of three and by the age of four had a good understanding of harmony and melody. Over the years he has been able to pick up virtually any musical instrument and be able to play it within a few weeks. As of right now he plays piano/synthesizer, drums, ukulele, guitar and trumpet; and composes, mixes and masters all his own arrangements using FL studio, and Akai MPC. He plays a wide selection of styles and continuously creates his own spin on world wide sound. His passion for music and music production led him to give up a full time job in order to pursue a career in the music industry. Whether it be playing, composing, mixing, arranging or producing. |

Search | Add | 4 | Warwick Blair | In the late 1980s, having barely begun what is now a 20-year career, Composer Warwick Blair was already being described as one of New Zealand’s most original musical thinkers (NZ Herald) and the enfant terrible of New Zealand Music (NZ Listener). His first trip to Europe in 1987 was to perform at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival with legendary Greek polymath Iannis Xenakis using UPIC, an early electronic music system. In 1990 his Aotea Centre-opening orchestral performance The Good Seeds Are So Small, performed by the APO and broadcast by Radio New Zealand, was proclaimed concert of the year by seminal music magazine Rip It Up. Having received an AGC Young Achievers Award in 1989, Blair moved to the Netherlands where he studied electronic music and classical composition with Louis Andriessen, and earned a NUFFIC scholarship from the Dutch Government. In 1991 Blair moved from Den Haag to London. Inspired by 4AD groups Dead Can Dance (featuring Lisa Gerrard) and This Mortal Coil, he began diversifying into the wider realms of pop music and formed the band Glory Box. Blair has given concerts in the UK and Europe, including London’s prestigious South Bank Centre in 1994. His recording career includes material for Phonogram Records (Glory Box, 1995) as well as orchestral arrangements for ambient techno terrorist Scanner (1997) and the group Mandalay (V2 Records, 1998) a role that saw him working alongside Madonna/Bjork producer Guy Sigsworth. Reviews have appeared in The Times, NME, Wired and GQ, with radio support coming from BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM, to name a few. Blair has composed soundtracks and sound design for Gordons Gin, Mastercard, Sky TV and NZ Navy TVCs, as well as working on the film Stargate, the Nintendo game Cartoon Academy, and multimedia presentations for Signpost and Australian Fashion Week for Karen Walker. Returning to New Zealand in the late 90s, Blair spent a few years lecturing at the University of Auckland, where originally he earned his Masters degree in Music (MMus – 1st class, 1987). With 15 years first-hand research into pop culture behind (and presumably still in front of) him, Blair felt compelled to write Accordion, rediscovering the territory that had captivated him in the late 80s, an amalgamation of contemporary classical music with elements of electronic pop culture. Blair’s work Stars, a 24 hour work for Indian female singer and electronic music backing with 6 screen video projection of the heavens (ie. broadly speaking 12 hours of daytime clouds and 12 hours of nighttime stars), has received unanimous praise for its emotional power and structural thought.

Search | Add | 4 | Bobby Meader Music | Bobby Meader Music was just that: the singer-songwriter output of a Las Vegas native stretched over a series of self-distributed releases. The bold attempt to expand a thin, acoustic-based sound into something more substantial almost never materialized. “We didn’t finish the new album we were working on because the day we showed up in Fort Wayne – after touring a month to get there from Vegas after the holidays – our drummer told us he wanted to go home and he left us high and dry. And the drummer we had before that we had to kick out mid-tour in Grand Junction, Colorado because he started causing a bunch of trouble.” Whether or not the work-in-progress was named I Think I Learned the Most From You for either – or both – of the two ousted drummers is one thing. It’s another to guess that the Nevada four-piece has gained valuable experience from trudging through these issues without label or agent support. Meader has served as the madman behind this operation, but his intelligence comes through with his determination following suit. They have played such festivals as Treefort Music Fest in Boise, Launch Music Conference in Lancaster, Pennsylvania as as well as unofficial SXSW showcases in Austin. They continue to relentlessly tour for 12 months a year, with over 300 shows scheduled for 2016. “The time had come to trade in my Prius for a fifteen-passenger Econoline and ask buddies to play and tour with me.”

Search | Add | 4 | Tàlveg | [a=Ferran Fages] - electric guitar [a=Marcellí Bayer] - baritone and alto saxophone [a=Oriol Roca] - drums Tàlveg. Behind this enigmatic name, we find three of the most experienced musicians of the Barcelona scene who, with only three years of work together, have managed to materialise a very personal way of facing improvisation and even transcending it. A very efficient mixture of individuality and common understanding. The method is scrupulous, the forms precise, and the sound generous. They know how to build sonic architectures that go beyond genres and get rid of the need for classification. Sound in its most direct, concise and at the same time, essential sense. But, if we talk about a method, it is precisely because procedure is the cornerstone of this whole building; with implicit boundaries that are never guessed, but which support each gesture and each intervention. The sound circulates as a single flow made of intriguing and captivating textures. The compositions or, perhaps it is better to say, guided improvisations are generated with a careful concentration and a limpid vision of a global sound, which allows room for the interventions and leaves more space for the listener’s interpretation. To allow them to participate fully in the experience. And "space" is the word that curiously comes to mind when listening to this music; and then the word "arid". Although sometimes the space is saturated, we sense that it is with full consciousness; in the same way that this imaginative aridity, sometimes reduced to a few harmonics, is expanded with grunts and bursts that end up flooding the space with sound. The work on listening is absolutely fundamental in this trio. To better distribute energy, each contribution is strategically dispensed; close to the form of an oratorio, but without the solemnity or religiousness that characterises it, each piece alternates possible combinations, not only to better highlight and expand the timbres and atmospheres, but also to not exhaust the global form. This alternation opens up the listening, eliminates expectation and ensures that our attention never lowers its guard. When the storm arrives, it is both beneficial and brutal at the same time; and soon, it becomes a catharsis. Tàlveg possesses the energy of the power trio and, in addition, the intelligence of proportion; each instrument has the necessary space to be able to affirm itself without having to make a place among the others; as if they all had their doors open to manifest themselves, but only at very specific moments. And every time they appear alone, their presence seems unconditional and we never miss the others. Here, structural rigour exceeds the most visceral spirit, without any ostentation; but, even so, there is an organic strength in this structure. An emotionally intense journey on course to discovery, which undoubtedly activates the imagination. Alfredo Costa Monteiro, December 2021

It is precisely here that the AVORIAZ project was born: on the border of two worlds: that of Joachim Garraud and that of DeLaurentis. An almost obvious meeting, that of artists whose common passion, generates a unique creation of its kind: an organic and collaborative electro. AVORIAZ was born somewhere in the Californian desert, nourished by solar and telluric energy. A rich music that takes root in French electro, but also in international pop: that of the dancefloors, of the great movements of freedom. AVORIAZ: a powerful and melodic electro: relentlessly effective and captivating. |

Search | Add | 4 | Burning Emotion | Japanese melodic power metal and hard rock band from Tokyo, originally called Move Over and formed around 1993-1994. Burning Emotion is one of the very few Christian metal bands out of Japan. Their musical influences include bands like; Stryper, Guardian, Mass, Zeno, Fair Warning and good ol' Japanese heavy metal from the '80s aka 'Japameta'. The band's debut 5-track EP entitled "Hard Rock Missionary" was privately released on the band's own label Emotional Melodies in 2002, and is now very rare to find and highly sought-after. Another CD, which is a full-length album, entitled "Feel the Emotion" came out on the Japanese heavy metal label [l=YggrDrasill Records] in 2008.
