Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Chasing Skyward Lights | Chasing Skyward Lights is a four piece Rock band formed in late 2024 from Watertown NY. Singer/songwriter Seth Mullin and his ability to write keeps the rest of the band busy, as they already have over 20 originals under their belts. He has an amazing ability to repeatedly write catchy, passionate pieces that instantly stick. With one listen you can hear the diversity of the band as a whole from one song to the next. The longtime guitarist/drummer duo of Dave Weaver and Mike Redder adds a certain level of chemistry to the band which is immediately noticed. Bassist Shawne Marshall (who has also played in stints with these members in the past) adds to the lineup to give the group the low end vibe needed to match the writing style. With two demo albums currently up for release, they are ready to fit onto the stage with a variety of different artists. These guys have more than enough diverse material to be able to fit in with just about anybody. From soft rock to heavy rock, they have you covered. But regardless which one, they'll bring it!! | |

| Search | Add | 2 | L.B.R.P. | Collaboration project between [a=Adam Matlock] and [l=Attic Shrines] label (original source material by Adam Matlock was modified and edited by Attic Shrines). "I want to speak about [L.B.R.P.] a bit as it was, as far as my dungeon synth work goes, a fairly unusual one in that it was a collaboration. I won’t go into to much detail, but my original material, recorded on 4 track in the course of 2 days, and submitted to Attic Shrines, who released it. But Attic Shrines headquarters, built as it is atop a huge deposit of unpronounceable minerals, is not a kind place to tapes. Something happens to them there - some entity, fascinated with the potentiality of analog media, takes them apart at a molecular level, and reassembles them without great care for accuracy. The result was corrupted, rearranged. Jazz people would say “Teo’d”. It was definitely an intriguing process for me as a composer and one I hope to embark upon again." | |

| Search | Add | 2 | William E. Bowman | William Ernest Bowman | William Ernest Bowman (* September 30, 1911 in Scarborough; † January 1, 1985) was an engineer and writer. The hobby mountaineer's best-known work, which is still published today, is the satire The Ascent of Rum Doodle, published in 1956 and based on Bill Tilman's report on the expedition to Nanda Devi. In it, Bowman parodies the relatively pompous writing style that characterized British expedition reports in the period from 1930 to 1950. In 2009, the British newspaper The Guardian included the satire in its literary canon 1000 Novels everyone must read. Bowman was the eldest of three sons. His mother died in 1926, when Bowman was 15 years old. His father died in 1928 from the late effects of a mustard gas attack suffered during the First World War. The death of his parents led to the separation of the brothers. In the years that followed, Bowman lived in Middlesbrough, his middle brother went to Canada and his youngest brother lived at another school. Bowman left school at the age of 16 and subsequently worked as a draughtsman and later as a civil engineer. During the Second World War, he served with the Royal Air Force in Egypt as an instructor in radar technology. After the end of the war, he joined the Service Civil International and worked in Duisburg. |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Oak Street Ramblers | Madison, WI Though their influences hail from much further south, the Oak Street Ramblers call home the East Side of Madison, WI. A bluegrass band in the tradition of Flatt and Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, and Hazel Dickens, the Oak Street Ramblers specialize in bluegrass stompers, classic country weepers, and originals that, lyrical content aside, wouldn’t sound out of place at a barn dance circa 1954. The band is comprised of Ian Alderman on guitar, dobro, and vocals, Annie Emmenegger on guitar and vocals, Jeff Kunkle on bass, Mark Schlutt on banjo and vocals, and Tina Thompson on fiddle. The Ramblers started playing out at the legendary Wonder’s Pub in 2004, and they currently have a monthly residency at the Harmony Bar and Grill. They have acquired a solid fan base, sold thousands of copies of their two albums, and have been voted a favorite Madison-area folk/bluegrass/Americana band on multiple occasions. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Whitey On The Moon UK | Members: Daniel Rossen and Fred Nicolaus What started as a joke between New York University roommates became sample-based Whitey On The Moon UK, then grew into the more instrumental sound of Department Of Eagles. As freshmen, Daniel and Fred were assigned to be roommates. Instead of spending as much time on school or social activities, they opted to play with pirated sound editing software to create a fun sample-heavy beat-driven CD for friends in their dorm. They called themselves Whitey On The Moon, selecting the personal pseudonyms "Iron Chrysalis" and "Butterfly Emerging." Unintentionally, a copy of the project was given to friend-of-a-friend Joseph Finlaw, who was at the time starting Isota Records. He wanted to put some of the tracks on a 7" single. For those releases, the name was changed to "Whitey on the Moon UK" partially as a joke and partially to avoid conflict with another band that had already laid claim to "Whitey on the Moon." Whitey On The Moon UK was the only group to release two 7"s for now-defunct Isota Record's Singles Club. Afterwords, the duo changed their name to Department Of Eagles, as the other Whitey On The Moon wasn't satisfied that the addition of "UK" differentiated the bands enough. | |
| Search | Add | 2 | Billy Oblivion | Billy Oblivion is a black leather jacketed rock and roll star with beautiful blue eyes. He is not any great shakes as a singer and a rather poor, derivative, songwriter but he is a hell of a frontman and knows how to put on a good show. Billy has never sent a demo tape to a record company as he is very lazy and has no ambition. From 1979 to 2000 Billy O played gigs n the back room of scutty pubs around the Teesside area - mainly in the Sun Inn off Stockton High Street. From 2001 to 2020 Billy O played gigs in scutty pubs around the Ladbroke Grove area of London - mainly in The Inn On The Green. Since 2020 Billy O has been living back in Stockton but it remains to be seen if he will play any gigs as he has Ischaemic heart disease and is very pooly. Billy is attempting to record all of his songs before he dies and there are two CDs currently available: Judy's Red Shoes and At Last The 1984 Rock'nRoll Show. There will be two more CDs available soon: Lost Diamonds and The Swamp Sessions. A fifth CD is currently in the planning stages. Billy's CDs are available free directly from him. He can be contacted via facebook. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Natisuta Hetekata | Just a sort of a hoax band but without even the labels being aware of it, Natisuta Hetekata were advertised as three Japanese exchange students living in Oulu, Finland, joined by a couple of local musicians. In reality the whole concept was concocted by the [l=Bad Vugum] label and members of their flagship band [a=Radiopuhelimet], who, by the mid-90s, were slightly irked by the fact that some of their former champions in the international underground press seemed to have forsaken the Finnish brand of inventive Noise Rock and replaced it with improvised Free Noise which had become all the rage in some circles. The final straw, so to speak, was provided in an editorial of a New Zealand noise zine, in which it was declared that the first proof of the superiority of Free Noise is that anybody could just rock out and even fake it, whereas in Free Noise it was impossible to fake anything without being caught a mile off. Bad Vugum and Radiopuhelimet took it as a dare almost, and devised a mischievous plan for shits and giggles... First, it was decided that all the while trying to steal some of the thunder of Japanese noise, the band name should be a send-off that's clear to Finnish-speakers only - hence the age-old children's linguistic joke of "natisuta hetekata", which tries to sound vaguely Japanese but actually means "squeak the cot" in Finnish, i.e. a colloquialism for "to fuck." Also, the stage names of the three core members were taken from Japan's Olympic gold-winning ski-jumping team in the Sapporo Games of 1972 (but without their biggest star Yukio Kasaya, which might have been too well-known for comfort). To make sure that a recording session would not show any trace of competence or proficiency, it was decided that all contributors should be as drunk as possible. This is also how the two extra players, Petri Hannus of [a=Jolly Jumpers] and the Oulu-resident icelander [a=Ari Eldon] were recruited from local bars on the way to the rehearsal space, where a used c-cassette was taped over with an indecent little mono recorder. Next, a round of just two demo tapes were sent out to opposite corners of the world - and while Seattle's [l=Majora] were the first to offer a deal, also a label from New Zealand wrote of their approval. Majora didn't even get to learn of the basic concept before the relationship was severed short, as the label refused to use the sleeve art sent by the band. Even in Finland, the burgeoning Free Noise scene took some notice when a label run by a teenage [a=Jan Anderzen] offered to put a second record. A final third session was recorded in 1998, but the one original tape went missing for 20+ years. Full first line-up: "Takashi Fujisawa" ([a=Jyrki Raatikainen]) "Seiji Aochi" ([a=Jarno Mällinen]) "Akitsugo Konno" ([a=Antti Annunen]) [a=Petri Hannus] [a=Ari Eldon] | |
