Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Delores Washington | Delores Washington-Green | Delores Washington was a member of the Gospel singing group [a1013997]. Her pure, silvery soprano was ‘always that sound that made The Caravans’ background so great. She was a trained operatic singer, having studied at a music conservatory. She joined [a1013997] in 1958. She became known as the Gospel Princess for her youthful vibrancy and trained soprano voice. Around that time, the lineup also included [a731527], [a573739], [a38202], and [a1089762]. [a2493510], who played piano with The Caravans and was Washington’s neighbor in Robins, Illinois and had recommended Dolores to Albertina Walker. Young Delores looked up to [a731527], a fellow Caravan who was considered one of the queens of gospel. Even as she developed a thriving solo career, Delores also remained a stalwart member of The Caravans. As she once put it in a filmed publicized interview, “They (singers) can come, and they can go, and they can come, and they can go, but I ain’t going nowhere.” In 1968, she ventured off with her solo career which started with [a1838019]. Her musical relationship with [a573738] opened the way for several solo albums accompanied by James on the Savoy Gospel Label. She also toured Europe singing with [a6850917]. She battled various forms of cancer several times throughout her life beginning in the 1970's. Mrs. Delores Washington-Green’s powerful singing continued even after treatment for cancer and in 2019, she received the Dr. Bobby Jones Legends honor at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Las Vegas. |

Search | Add | 3 | Magenta Vice | Synthwave duo from Minneapolis Mn USA. John W and Erik W approach synthwave as a band rather than as producers, focusing on live hardware instrumental performance and the freedom and spontaneity that come from working outside the world of DAW-based production. A mixture of both vintage and current gear bring a wide variety of sounds to the table, and a healthy mix of humanity and machine. Heavily influenced by Italo disco, old school electro, and Hi NRG (Patrick Cowley, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Hardcastle, Newcleus, Egyptian Lover) but also balanced and informed by the spacey sounds of '70s German kosmische musik and early New Age (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Michel Genest et al), Magenta Vice offer a wide range of moods and BPM’s with a sound that tries to blend past and present in their own way.

Search | Add | 3 | Ellen Valley Band | Started by Gwyn Thomas in 1975, the group all met at music sessions at the Sun Inn, in the north Cumbrian, UK, village of Ireby. Most of the group were also involved in morris, sword and clog dancing with the Carlisle team. The first Ellen Valley band gig was spring 1976, for Carlisle Climbing Club. Their monthly Ireby ceilidhs in the village hall, The Globe Hall, which they organised themselves (other gigs were bookings from other people of course) became legendary in North Cumbria, with people travelling from all over the county to them - and sometimes much further afield, especially for the fancy dress Christmas ceilidhs. The line-up changed over time, gradually coalescing into personnel on the first album, and after Paul and Louise Witty divorced and moved they lost them, but gained other members - including, Davey Potts from Warrington on guitar and keyboard and local singer and guitarist Eric Hope on guitar. After finally losing Gwyn when he moved away (mid-late 1980s?) they gained a musician Frank Lee playing melodeon and banjo. The band played for some 22 years - to 1997/1998 - but did occasional reunion ceilidhs for a number of years after that, most notable of which was 2005 Ireby Christmas ceilidh - a sell-out event to which came lots of former Ireby ceilidh regulars (some of whom had first attended as young children!). The Second album ’Through the World Spinning’ was notable for including some Lakeland and Cumbrian tunes which [a6466420] researched from old fiddlers’ manuscript tune books. Very few people were doing music of the area at that time.

The band was a memorable live act. The music mixed hardcore punk, free jazz, grindcore and noise. The stage shows were chaotic and unpredictable, a spectacle in itself.
