Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

SOUNDS OF SOWETO refused to provide global propaganda support to racists and developed an alternative artistic concept. It builds on the great South African tradition of song, dance and performance, blending traditional folk culture with elements of modern urban culture. | Search | Add | 3 | Cardavercus | Took the name Cardavercus in 1998, and led by ex-Severe Warning founder Bryan Renken and main songwriter Ace The Raven in 1998. Formed from the combination of two previous bands. Renken, led by Renken, Ace, Darrin Winne, and Gary "Meat" Vosecky from 1993 to 1994 (which also recruited Mike Marczak in 1994), and 1996-1997, and an unnamed band of Ace, Scott, and Mike that lasted from 1994 to 1996, before they combined into the new Renken lineup in 1996. This lineup would record a 5 song demo in June of 1997 that includes future-Cardavercus songs. This lineup then changed their name to Cardavercus in early 1998, a name that Ace thought of in August of 1997 and was included in a list of possible band names to change Project Raven to, until this project was put on hold to focus on Renken. Under both names, Renken and Cardavercus, they would end up playing some previous Project Raven songs, and newer Ace-penned songs that he would later bring back his solo project after Cardavercus split up. The 1997 demo included "Immune" and "The Secret (Non Omnis Moriar)" and "Life Will Decay", all past Project Raven songs, and after the name change to Cardavercus they would play these as well as "Free" and "Threshold", "The Dark Plan", "Blinded", "The Unseen" and others, many later recorded on the Ace the Raven album "Fortress of Apathy" in 2005. Cardavercus also even played a cover of Nitefall's "Island of Courage... Sea of Despair", which Project Raven and Ace The Raven both also covered, although both versions are unreleased. During the early days of Renken, 1993-1994 they would play many re-structured Severe Warning songs, as well as future-Cardavercus songs such as "Cold Vengeance", "Water Into Wine" and "Dying Day", as well as future Ace The Raven songs such as "Hell Is Above" and "Journey Into Fear". Cardavercus' recorded their debut 4-song demo in early 1999 and independently released it in spring of the same year. Their official press packs of the era list Venom, Mercyful Fate and Sepultura as some of their influences. In late 1999 they went back into Digitrax Recording Studio and began working on their second CD "Cardavercus II: We Return Again, but unfortunately they split up for good during the recording process and it was never completed. In 2005 Ace The Raven re-issued the demo, with a varied front cover and on an enhanced CD with a bonus QuickTime Video clip of the song "Dying Day", recorded in concert in 1999 from one of shows that Severe Warning bassist Darrin Winne played with them for. This is another song that dates back to Renken rehearsals in 1994. After the Renken/Cardavercus lineup of Renken/Ace/Scott/Mike was established Renken started another band as well, called Bat Rastard. This band included both Renken drummers in the band officially, alongside original Severe Warning bassist, Poyzon-founder, future Cardavercus bassist Darrin Winne, and Bryan Renken on guitars and vocals. Bat Rastard recorded a 3 song demo "Bat Rastard Live at Practice", played live onto on 8-Tracks on July 8th 1997, and soon after played their only 2 live shows, with Greg on drums for one and Scott on drums for the other. After their split Darrin would fill in live for several Cardavercus shows in 1998 and 1999, before officially replacing Mike Marczak in 2000 shortly before the band split up.

| Search | Add | 3 | Caxton Street Jazz Band | The Caxton Street Jazz Band in a jazz band from Brisbane, Australia. It was founded in Brisbane's inner west in 1977 and is today recognised both locally and internationally as one of Australia’s leading jazz bands. Now in its 40th year, the band presents hot, swinging jazz in a manner that elicits enthusiastic responses from listening and dancing audiences alike. Members of the band include some of Australia’s leading jazz players in their idiom, as well as two instrumentalists who are also vocalists. The band’s name derives from the location of its first venue, the Baroona Hall in Caxton St, Brisbane. The band rose to prominence in the ‘80s through its long running stint at the famous “Jazz ‘N Jug” sessions at Brisbane’s Caxton Hotel, as well as numerous appearances in this period at Australian Jazz Conventions and other Festivals. The band rose to prominence in the 80s thanks to its 11 year stint at the Jazz ‘n Jug sessions at the Caxton Hotel. These commenced in March ’81 and continued every Saturday until 1992 when the band split, although Bob Mair (drums) and Bernice Haydock (piano) took over the band name from that time. The band’s premier years in the 80s were probably 1981-4, when it became well-rehearsed, and popular with its repertoire of a blend of serious jazz and novelty numbers (the band played a total of 183 gigs in the year July 1981 to June 1982!). In the mid-80s, some of the longer term members left and were replaced by others who in turn moved on after a few years. The band then enjoyed stability in its lineup into the early 90s, but then a variety of players were used to make up the numbers into 1992. Naturally enough the personnel has changed a number of times over the years, although five of the current 6 members have been together since 2001. This recent continuity of players has contributed to the band’s reputation for being “tight and hot”. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Crawl "420" | The hardcore metal rock group Crawl "420" got its start in Anaheim, CA, in 1995. Dan Miller stepped in as singer, Chris Dorame covered bass, Zach Vodola provided the guitar work, and Jarred Pacheco offered pounding rhythm with his drums. Wild shows in and around California helped the young band build a following almost overnight. The same year of its formation, the foursome put together a debut offering for its fans, Fist to Face. Crawl "420" delivers extreme heavy rock seasoned with leftover thrash, the kind of stuff that invites the use of a mosh pit; this is music that isn't for those faint of heart, or those with sensitive sensibilities. In 1997, a sophomore release, Crawl "420" Green, hit the market. It was followed in 1999 by the album Severe and then in 2000 by Killmercial. Some of the tracks heavy metal fans can sample from these recordings are "Unforgiven," "Slime," "Head in Only," "Fucko," "Beer," "Frump," "Last Mistake," "Erase," and "Greed." Over the years the band has opened for groups including DRI 2x, Exodus, Flotsam, Man-O-War, Obituary, Sacred Reich, SOD, and Testament. In early 2001, the band went through a couple of major changes. Probably the biggest one was a change in the lineup. Guitarist Zach Vodola called it quits with the group and went out on his own. Guitarist Joe Young, who had been a onetime member of the group Comatose, replaced Vodola. The next big change was the name of the band. The members decided to do away with the "420" ending and just become known as Crawl. Crawl never went beyond the name change and later disbanded in Late 2001. In 2023, Crawl 420 reunited. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Österbybruk Spelmansgille | The first Nyckelharpstämman was held in Herrgården and Herrgårdsparken in 1975 and was arranged by Österby Folkdanslag. At its peak, the number of visitors and fiddlers was close to 5,000. For a few years, there was, among other things, a one-hour live broadcast on the radio under the direction of Bengt Polo Johansson. All the great fiddlers from Uppland came to the Österbystämman, with the brother-draper Eric and Sture Sahlström and Ceylon and Henry Wallin at the forefront, not to mention fiddlers such as Curt Tallroth, Nisse Nordström, Kurt Södergren and not least Hasse Gille. Hasse was the self-proclaimed leader of all fiddlers for many years. In 2012, people in Österby thought that Hasse had earned his own fiddler's association, and on National Day that year, the Gillestämman was started. In the autumn of 2015, a merger of the Gillestämman with the Nyckelharpstämman was discussed. Nowadays, the Gille- & Nyckelharpstämman is held in Österbybruk, always the weekend before Midsummer. | |

They were famous for their Submarine t-shirts, armed with a strong demo called ‘Acid’ under their belts. They were a band that almost made it; they had it all, the music, and the publicity, the following, and even had their CD featured on TVs Tomorrow’s World. The marketing ploy was simple; the Submarine symbol was used more than their GNSF name, to the extent that people thought that Submarine was their name rather than a song title. Goodnight Said Florence signed to Different Class records, changed the line-up, and disappeared without a trace.
