Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Snibbo Australian band from Canberra, ACT, active in the 1970s. Roman Demkowski (lead vocals); Rod Eckersley (saxophone, flute); Dennis Flynn (guitar), 1971; Tony Hayes (bass), 1973-75; Peter Ilyk (rhythm guitar, trumpet, backing vocals); Andy Ingram (drums), 1974-75; Henry Sliwka (drums), 1971-74; John Thompson (bass), 1971-73; Bernie Nizynski (lead guitar). The original Snibbo was formed in 1971, the band's name derived from a segment on the TV show The World of Beachcomber starring Spike Milligan, which featured an all purpose product called "Snibbo" (the idea to use the name came from original guitarist Dennis Flynn). Band members had previously played in established local groups, including The Casuals and The Chosen Few. Soon after the band formed, Dennis Flynn was replaced by Bernie Nizynski on lead guitar. This lineup never recorded any singles although there are several live recordings of the band and some "studio" recordings (to use the term very loosely) made at Radio 2CA studios in Canberra. In June 1972, Tony Hayes (formerly from local "Hoadleys" title-winners, Heaven), replaced John Thompson on bass guitar. This new line-up began to forge its reputation on Canberra's live performing circuit, with a mix of pop, rock and blues standards, together with deftly-chosen "progressive" staples of the day (songs from Juicy Lucy, King Crimson, Deep Purple, Chicago and Jethro Tull). The brass and flute line-up within the band enabled Snibbo to display a wider musical palette than most of their guitar-bass-drums rivals, which made the band more unique. Snibbo became one of Canberra's (and its surrounds) biggest live attractions, with regular appearances at the established venues of the day (such as Xanadu and Zeplin), as well as at high school dances and regular Saturday night dance-hops like 'Berties' at the O'Donnell Youth Centre. The group disbanded in September 1975 and played its last performance at Wests Rugby Club in Jamison, ACT.

Search Add 2 Carni Carni Reynoso They call me Carni, a sinister maestro mastering the symphony of terror. In the shadows, I morph into an audio alchemist and a designer of nightmares. Beyond the veil of normalcy, I am a father of two, tending to my unholy progeny. My vows bind me as a husband, yet my heart flirts with the sinister. Horror courses through my veins, and the depths of darkness are my playground.

Search Add 2 Trio Koko Trio Koko is a Dutch band from Dordrecht consisting of guitarist Ronnie ‘Parelvet’ Smith, Timothy van der Holst on drums and percussion and Tony van der Kolk on bass and keys. The band was founded in 1999. In the beginning their repertoire consisted of a mixture of singer songwriter songs and instrumental cocktail-surf. This can be heard on their debut album “A taste of ... Trio Koko”, which was released in 1999. In 2000, the EP “Koko goes Blues” came out, a mini album with a title that left little to guess what kind of music was on it. Trio Koko gradually developed into a roots band with an emphasis on instrumental music. This approach resulted in the release in 2001 of “This is Koko”, a smashing album full of instrumental surf-cocktail tracks. Most Trio Koko songs are self-written containing lots of style quotes from the wonderful world of library music, exotica and surf-cocktail. Three years after the release of “This is Koko”, little was heard of the band, due to successes of other music projects like Phil Martin’s Mystical Funk and The Soul Snatchers in which all three Kokomen also participated. Trio Koko only occasionally performed over the past years. In 2021, however, the band is back on track! Lots of unfinished song material needed to be worked out and recorded. It took a Covid lockdown in March 2020 to do so. And a damn good job they did! After releasing several new singles and part 1 of the “Taruko” trilogy it’s now time for the release of ‘Taruko II’ on May 26th 2023. “Taruko II” has become a varied instrumental album that wouldn’t look out of place in, let's say, a new Tarantino movie. Tony van der Kolk and Ronnie Smith wrote the tracks. Van der Kolk produced the album and mixed it with Edwin in ’t Veld, also from Dordrecht. Edwin took care of mastering the album as well. Guest musicians and fellow townsmen on some tracks are Maarten Teekens on background vocals and Govert van der Kolm on Hammond organ. Rightfully, Taruko is a product of Dordrecht! Keywords: Surf, Western, Moricone, Sixties, Italian seventies B-movies, Exotica, Tiki and Space. Trio Koko are Go!

Search Add 2 Bevis Griffin Bevis M. Griffin II Austin, Texas Musician, Vocalist, Composer, Percussionist and Arranger. Bevis taught himself to play the drums and sing while attending the ‘barely-integrated’ Wichita Falls High School. He would successfully graduate in 1970 due to attending summer school classes as an “academically accelerated” student. This was also where he initially met and befriended his first pivotal collaborator and seminal band-mate, Jimmy Lee Saurage. Upon graduation, Bevis immediately began his professional career in earnest by relentlessly touring the upper Midwest as an itinerant show-drummer until eventually rejoining Saurage and bassist Barry Minnick in Austin, Texas to form the hard rocking’ power-trio “Franklin’s Mast” in the winter of 1971. This would also earmark Griffin’s eventual rise to cultural prominence as Texas’ first African American Hard-Rock/Glam-Rock/Punk-Rock performer.

Search Add 2 Alimori Mihail Simeonov Seeking creative freedom, Alimori is the pseudonym used by Mischa Blanos to shape new electronic territories for his compositions, be it progressive clubbing or ambient music. Born from the need to separate his acoustic-electronic music framed in the Neoclassical genre from other exploring genres, Alimori serves the artist in his endeavour to expand his travel on the pure electronic realm. He abandons the acoustic piano but transfers its soul by manipulating the machines as if they were acoustic instruments and infusing elusive yet deeply rooted classical structures. Back and forth through synths, drum machines, modulars and digital inputs, Alimori is set to voice out his appetite for jazz-driven techno club pieces and his attraction in creating sonic spheres of ambient music.

Search Add 2 Plastik Kettle Alessandro Pintus & Corrado Caocci Alessandro Pintus and Corrado Caocci first met each other in Cagliari (Sardinia) respectively at the age of 17 and 15, at a private party as deejays. They immediately began an ever-intensifying collaboration, oriented towards the experimenting with sounds and melodies in exclusively electronic contexts, up until the creation of the project PLaSTiK KeTTLe, inspired by the universe of robots and the passion for the synth. Within this "plastic-kettle" electro-rhythms are mixed to ambient- textures, vocoders and glitch sounds which, heated by the oscillators of the synths, produce those landscaped images which can exist only in a harmonic world of music and individuals.

First published in 1886 in New York, it was credited to V. Peter (a pseudonym for Heinrich Mannfred). On later sheet music it was credited to C. Peters and on some recordings to simply "Peters" or "Peter". Its genre has been classified as "Descriptive" or a "March," and it's memorable for its clanging or striking of an anvil during the chorus, sometimes sung, sometimes not.

Several months later, they re-recorded the song at Akron Recording, backed with another original "Don't Go Alone".
