Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Schmrtz Teatar | Schmrtz Teatar | Schmrtz Teatar was founded in 1995 by a group of young people who were interested in applied art by "recycling old ideas" about modern and politically engaged theatrical statements. Since its beginnings they primarily wanted to question human rights policies, ecology, social crticism, modern primitivism, subculture movements, alternative social views, civil society, cultural autonomy ... The group states neither a definied hierarchical structure nor a constant leadership that is membership - it is strongly fluid and acts mostly in the form of "ad hoc" groupings. A constant stronghold of the group are musical and multimedia instalations concerning overall socio-critical engagement (see also : Living Theatre, San Francisco Red Theatre, Andy Warhol's Factory scene, The Fugs). |

Their brand new album, P.E.A.C.E is a limited edition vinyl release (February 2019) via Janine’s own label, London Field Recordings. Rainforth spearheaded the reformation of Maximum Joy in 2015 with a show at Simple Things Bristol, and from that grew MXMJoY – and now with a new line-up and all new material, MXMJoY have crafted an album that remains faithful to their roots but showcases an expanded experimental direction into dark electronics and expertly used samples and effects. |

Search | Add | 5 | Ben Strik | Ben Strik (1924), or Father Ben Strik, was known in Dutch as "De Zingende Pater" ("The Singing Father"). In the 70s he started with church services in Beverwijk in the North of Holland and eventually he went all over The Netherlands with it under the name "Die Aaghten Cantorij". The money made from donations and the release of records went to the "Brasil op Weg" foundation that funded projects for water wells, to volunteers that went to help in areas with leprosy and to agricultural co-operations in Brazil. More choirs joined Strik's initiatives to support these projects. He worked with choirs in Dutch villages and cities like Wognum, Utrecht and Tilburg. In his sermons he was always very straight forward against injustice and poverty in the world. Against all rules, Ben Strik was married to Vera Strik, and Strik was always firmly against celibacy. In a newspaper interview, Strik once said, quote: "The church looks at a married priest as a male prostitute". He died on Wednesday, the 12th of March 2014 at the age of 91.

Search | Add | 5 | My Sister, My Brother | Garrison Starr, Sean McConnell and Peter Groenwald had no intention of forming a band when they gathered for a songwriter's camp during 2018 in Nashville. But their composition there, "Nothing Without You" led to My Sister, My Brother. "We just hit it off right off the bat and had so much fun," McConnell tells Billboard. "We wrote 'Nothing Without You' that first day, and we were all, like, 'Wow, this is something we should do again' and we made it a priority to get back together." The trio wound up writing a half-dozen songs together at four or five subsequent gatherings back in Nashville, recording mostly at Groenwald's home studio. "We all produced, but Peter did most of the heavy lifting," McConnell reports. And he says their continued collaboration was about as easy as it was for "Nothing Without You."

Search | Add | 5 | Elvira Quintillá | Elvira Quintillá Ramos | Barcelona, September 19, 1928 - Madrid, December 27, 2013. She was a Spanish actress and singer (zarzuelas), active between 1941 - 2004. Although is little known, she also won the 1st Prize for Interpretation, with the band [a=Los Iruña'ko] at the 2nd Benidorm Festival, in 1960. Taking advantage of the pull of his triumph in Benidorm, a new release with clear rhythmic content was immediately published: "Te Amaré Toda la Vida" ([a=Hispavox], 1960), but didn't achieve significant sales. In the 1961 edition of the Benidorm Festival -third in chronological order-, which had already become the most important event of that incipient modern Spanish music, she did not attend. However, she recorded an EP with songs from that date, led by the winning song "Enamorada", generically titled "III Spanish Song Festival" ([l=Hispavox], 1961), but went completely unnoticed. Her acting career was more succesful so he move to acting (for instance “Plácido”, byLuis García Berlanga, 1961). She would no longer record or participate in musical activities. |

Search | Add | 5 | Anches Doo Too Cool | [a=Daniel Paboeuf] and [a=Philippe Herpin] first met in 1975, but it's only in 1978 that the band formed in Rennes (France), after the debuts of [a=Marquis De Sade]. The name is based on a play on words in French "Anches d'où tout coule" (Reeds from which everything flows). Their first live occurred at MJC La Paillette in March 1978, together with [a556251] on bass under the moniker of "Anches doo too cool badaboom duo". The main duet plays in Brest, and tours in the Briton clubs during Summer 1978. They are also programmed during the 1st [l420072] in June 1979. In Summer 1980, the duet records demos of the "[r=2404872]" LP. They then record at [l324109] during Fall 1980, with a few guests: Nicole Calloc'h sings on a track, [a350153] reads a text on another, Jean-Pierre Ghez eructs here and there, whilst [a1077077] manages the electronics. The LP is released end of 1980. Only few lives were programmed afterwards mainly at Jazz festivals, but on the 19th of October 1981, the duet recorded a live album at L'église Toussaint in Rennes, called "[r=2433495]". It was released early 1982, at the same period than the Sax Pustuls' LP "[m=1548709]", but 2 weeks prior its release Paboeuf leaved the formation to join [a1584494]. The duet is gonna reform for a night in February 1985, for the showing of the "Purple Rain" movie, in Rennes. But they reunite officially at [l1519853] in Paris end of 1985. A few concerts were made in 1986 including [l486869], followed by a Tour end of 1986 which concluded on the 1st night of the [l420072] at the "[a18700] et ses amis" event. Another Tour started in January 1987 in Le Mans, Lyon, Montpellier, and the 12th of February 1987 at Salle Vilar, Rennes. In march 1987, they recorded their 3rd LP at [l327290] in Paris. Guests: [a1074423] on mandolin, [a383887] on bass on a few tracks only, and Hector Zazou on machines programming. [r=2731695] is released in June 1987. In July, they are listed for the [l706622] festival and returned in January 1988 to play at [l420082]. For the [l706622] in July 1988, the duet became a sextet called "Anches doo too cool sexes-têtes". 3 of the guests were part of the 17 persons big band led by Philippe Herpin aka Pinpin, "Prof Pinpin et ses Funk Noz". Perhaps his greatest DJ role was the Trocadero Transfer in San Francisco during the late 1970s through the early 1980s. Search | Add | 5 | M.C. Mr. Tink | Christopher Lang | Born and raised on the streets of Compton California, a highly decorated gang member and street pharmacist, already an up and coming talent in the underground rap community. Chris's long time friend the late Johnny Burns aka- Mr. Mausberg was inspired by Chris to fallow his dreams as a reality rap artist, Mausberg was killed in the summer of 2000. Chris Lang's life would forever be changed during the summer of 1997. This transformation will forever be remembered as the new birth of "Trip C" (Chris Crazy for Christ). With the renewing of his heart, mind, and spirit, Trip C has fully launched himself in the use and the perfecting his gift by bringing the word of God to the streets from whence he came, through the medium of rap. Vowing to never again write lyrics that kill, but create lyrics that up lift and wins souls for the true and living God. Trip C states "for we are not chosen by the Lord to be entertainers, but vessels used according to his will and purpose". Searching for answers, looking to fill a void, and a desire to quench his thirst for knowledge, Trip C began a migration southward. Through the direction of the Holy Spirit, Trip C found himself in Oceanside, Ca. under the leadership and direction of Dr.'s Clarence & Josephine Crayton, Faith Temple Christian Center.Collaborating with Grapetree recording artist Crow, on his current release "The Method of Attack", Trip C's hunger to minister the Word, and obedience to the Holy Spirit has grown into a roaring fire, Trip C has launched his own independent Gospel Label, "All for Jesus" Records (AFJ), on which his debut project, "The New School Testament", will be released. AFJ's main focus will be to bring the word to the lost and save souls.Trip C's contributions to the world of gospel rap, with heated lyrics of salvation and prosperity can only be matched through the love and support displayed by his loving wife Nathia.Revelations 2:7 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God." |

Being an active composer and musician in the music scene for many years, he has served several composer residencies, and has toured North America full-time as concert pianist and multi-keyboardist in a variety of bands and orchestras. Currently, Loucks can also be found sitting in with choirs, bands, and orchestras, for various performing and recording projects. Loucks played in such bands as "RACER", "YOURSELF", "TIN EAR", "THE LARCH", and "ELLIS AND LYNCH". |

After a couple of performances Ásmundur left to focus on his studies in visual arts. Vindva Mei kept going as a duo, throwing itself in different directions. With the 2 member´s different preferences, Péturs more rhythmical, melodic structures and Rúnar´s more abstract soundscapes people could never know what to expect. After Rúnar moved to Denmark in late ´96 Vindva mei slowed down. Working when the members met in Iceland or Denmark resulted in 3 albums but fewer and fewer live performances. In the last couple of years Vindva Mei has recorded new material and has decided to perform again after years of absence from the stage. First performance was in august 2010 where Vindva Mei played a short set of new material for an enthusiastic audience in Reykjavík. |
