Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Eric Easton | Eric Easton (1927–1995) was an English record producer and the first manager of British rock group [a=The Rolling Stones]. Originally from Lancashire, he joined the music industry playing the organ in music halls and cinemas. By the 1960s he had moved into management and talent spotting, operating from an office suite in London's Regent Street. Easton met [a=Andrew Loog Oldham] in 1963; Oldham wanted to sign an unknown band, called the Rolling Stones, about whom he was enthusiastic. After a number of problems on an American tour, in 1965 Oldham decided to oust Easton from the partnership and bring in New York promotor Allen Klein. Oldham persuaded members of the group to support him and Easton was sacked. The band, with the exception of [a=Bill Wyman], acquiesced. Easton launched a number of lawsuits for breach of contract, and eventually settled out of court for a large sum. In 1980 he and his family emigrated to Naples, Florida, where he went into business; his son, Paul, also became a music manager and booking agent. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | The Beagle Ranch | Beagle Ranch | Initially formed as a solo musical vehicle for frontman/songwriter Stephen Bandola, this Calgary, Alberta based band has evolved over the years to where it is now a fully functioning quartet. But let's take you back in time while introducing you to the members of the group. Bandola is formerly the bass player and co-frontman of early '90s college-radio favourites Citrus Park. With the Beagle Ranch, he set out to play and write melodic guitar-based music with a strong songwriting focus and an appreciation for the perfectly crafted 3-minute pop tune. Bandola's first quest for pop perfection manifested itself in the 2001 release "Starcrossed". Recorded at former Citrus Park bandmate Jeff Burns' recording studio, "Starcrossed" saw the Beagle melodic direction firmly in place. Shortly after the release of "Starcrossed", the Beagle ranks increased by one. Lead guitar/harmony vocalist Jeff Kushner formally joined Bandola. Also a Calgary music scene veteran, Kushner had most recently fronted his own group, "The Beauty Myth". The duo released the 6 track recording "Mr. Ordinary World" in 2005, and played around Calgary as an acoustic duo. 2006 saw the band add bassist Conan Daly to the lineup. A longtime friend of both Jeff and Steve, and former bassist with Celtic quintet "Scatter the Mud", Daly joined his fellow pop connoisseurs in their quest for pop perfection. While gigging frequently throughout 2007 & 2008, the Beagles still had time (with the aid of their drummer pal Josip Vulic) to record the 4 song "Christmas Time" E.P. The recording (again recorded at Burns studio) centered around Bandola's seasonal ode "It's Christmas Time". More recording and playing in 2009, (with help from their pal Miles Krowicki on drums) followed by an extended break in 2010 brings us almost up to speed. 2011 was a bountiful year for the band. They released their full length CD, "A Moment Away" to great reviews (ranked #21 by the Absolute Powerpop website (Florida) "Powerpop CDs of the year" - ahead of new releases by Sloan and Fountains of Wayne). They also welcomed drummer Dave Horrocks to the Beagle ranks. In addition to his extensive behind the board experience at Calgary's Sundae Sound, Dave is an accomplished percussionist, most notably keeping time alongside Daly in Scatter the Mud. 2020 sees the band on the verge of releasing a new recording. Stephen Bandola - vocals, acoustic guitar [a1501827] - electric guitar, vocals [a6278521] - bass, vocals [a512036] - drums |

| Search | Add | 5 | Московское Трио | Ансамбль солистов «Московское трио» | Moscow Trio is a Soviet Russian classical piano trio ensemble (piano, cello, violin). It was formed in 1968 by [a1684492] (piano), [a2963810] (violin) and [a7086504] (= Miron Yampolsky) (cello), students of the chamber ensemble class of [a4509800] (=Tatiana Gaidamovich) at Moscow Conservatory. In the mid-1970s, the line-up changed to Bonduryansky, Ivanov and Utkin and remains so to this day: [a1684492] = Александр Бондурянский - piano [a1684495] = Владимир Иванов - violin [a1684485] = Михаил Уткин - cello --------- The ensemble of soloists "Moscow Trio" is rightfully considered one of the leading chamber ensembles of the world class. The ensemble of soloists "Moscow Trio" is a laureate of international competitions in Munich (1969, 2nd prize), Belgrade (1972, 1st prize), Budapest (1975, 1st prize), Bordeaux (1976, gold medal of M. Ravel). All three musicians received an excellent school of ensemble mastery in the class of Professor T. A. Gaidamovich = [a4509800]. In addition, the artists have a large solo repertoire, often performing in Russia and abroad with solo concerts and accompanied by orchestras. The repertoire of the Moscow Trio soloists ensemble includes over 200 works, numerous concert programs, of which the following should be noted: “Piano Trios of Russian Composers”, “History of the Genre”, “Piano Trios of the Romantic Era”, “All Works of Beethoven”, monograph programs dedicated to the works of W. A. Mozart, F. Schubert, F. Mendelssohn, J. Brahms, S. Rachmaninoff, D. D. Shostakovich. In concerts of the Moscow Trio, triple concertos by L. van Beethoven, A. Casella, B. Martinů, N. N. Cherepnin, S. S. Berinsky, A. V. Tchaikovsky and A. A. Nikolaev are performed, accompanied by symphony orchestras. The last three works were inspired by the ensemble, dedicated to it and first performed by it in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. One of the most important tasks of the Moscow Trio soloists' ensemble is to return forgotten masterpieces of the past to the listener. This is evidenced by the Moscow premieres of the trios of M. Clementi, I. Brahms, F. Schubert, K. Schumann, E. T. A. Hoffmann, E. Grieg, G. Donizetti, K. Debussy. The musicians performed the previously unknown youth Trio No. 1 by D. D. Shostakovich for the first time. The ensemble's active propaganda activities attract the attention of modern composers writing in this genre. A. V. Tchaikovsky, M. I. Chulaki, E. L. Lazarev, I. I. Golubev, Yu. M. Butsko, V. A. Grokhovsky, the Finnish composer P.-H. Nordgren, A. Friedman from France and others dedicated their works to the Moscow Trio soloists' ensemble. Many foreign and domestic composers consider it an honor to trust the Moscow Trio with the premieres of their works. Not only works for the trio are performed in the musicians' concerts. More than once they have invited famous artists of other specialties for joint performances: vocalists E. Nesterenko and G. Pisarenko, American singer Yu. Kaufman, violists Yu. Bashmet, A. Bobrovsky and M. Tolpygo, clarinetists V. Sokolov and R. Bagdasaryan, double bass player R. Gabdullin. The geography of the trio's tours is diverse, having performed in more than 300 cities of the former USSR and in 45 countries of the world - from Argentina to Japan and from Norway to Egypt. His art was applauded by audiences in such concert halls as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, the Old Opera in Frankfurt, the Municipal Theatre in Rio de Janeiro, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Merkin Hall in New York, the best halls in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The ensemble participated in prestigious festivals in Helsinki, Belgrade, Florence, Prague, Berlin, Dubrovnik, Ludwigsburg, Sofia, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The ensemble's concert at the Ohrid Festival (Macedonia) was recognized as the best in 1994. The ensemble's artists conduct master classes and seminars in Russia and abroad. The German newspaper wrote: "...Three artists, teachers of the Moscow Conservatory, made these days of the Courses unforgettable for all participants, thanks to their artistic charm and the power of pedagogical persuasion." The Moscow Trio soloists' ensemble recorded most of its repertoire on radio and gramophone records by the Melodiya company, and then on compact discs by companies in Germany, France and the USA. The ensemble's work received high praise in their homeland - the musicians were awarded the honorary titles of People's Artists of Russia, the Moscow Prize in Literature and Art, and the newspaper Muzykalnoye Obozreniye called them "the ensemble of 1997." |

In 2008, he co-founded the popular New York City-based Biatch Corp Recordings label with Alvaro Bueno AKA Pito, the label's debut release was also Karraskilla's first. Entitled "Su Merced el Pimp" with remixes from Jussi Pekka and Perc, his debut was " ..a highly danceable and equally enjoyable affair" according to 365Mag. Fine tuning his skills as a DJ, he played top New York nightclubs such as Studio B, Sullivan Room, and Cielo before releasing "Tren Siete Expreso Cali" on Biatch Corp with remixes from Brendon Moeller and Pawas. De-Bug called that one "[a] very fine and surprisingly deep plate". His third release, "La Estancia con Mi Amigo el Efimero", got some serious buzz last fall. Big room flavor, different, weird, unexpected, awesome, spooky & wild, were some of the words used to describe Biatch Corp's sixth release. Karraskilla' latest EP - "Premium Traditional” is to be release on Nov 19th, 2010 with two originals and a remix from Ascii Disko. He also has a remix due out on Hidden Recording's highly anticipated follow-up to their much talked-about new single. He also has a spate of high quality unreleased tunes he is currently polishing up for release in 2011. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Duff Ferguson | Los Angeles, California Folk-Pop Crooner DUFF FERGUSON is a familiar face around the LOS ANGELES Roots Rock Scene, having rode in crap tour vans, recorded alongside, jammed with, photographed, danced with the wives of and bought PBRS for most everybody in 20 years of California Music. These days you’ll find him performing alone on a vintage parlor guitar, singing lovely songs of loss, loose songs of love and portraits of life drawn from the many characters he’s met in a lifetime of traveling America’s dustier corners. Duff was born in New York City to a family of classical musicians and raised in rural New Jersey. As the son of a choir director, he sang spirituals in church but bought rock and pop records with his allowance. After discovering an old Yamaha student guitar in the attic, he developed his own guitar technique simply because he didn’t know anyone who played guitar and there was no Internet. Duff cut his performing teeth in Sea of Fuzz, a beer-soaked college cover band lauded by a Haverford, PA paper as “the local band with the largest amps.” The band entertained for four years and provided Duff’s first encounters with electrocution and arguments over band members’ girlfriends. Duff’s first solo New York show was at the Lion’s Den in Greenwich Village as headliner at the NOHO Acoustic Guitar Festival. While living in Hells Kitchen and the Village, Duff recorded and distributed 5 EPs of original songs and acted as band manager for Jared Barkan’s Hot Iris rock trio with Hans Glawischnig (Chick Corea) and Richie DeBonis. Moving to San Francisco during the dot com crash, Duff fell in with Americana roots artist Rich McCulley, joining his band as a lead guitar player for over 50,000 miles of national touring and promo appearances in a battered Ford Windstar minivan. The band’s drummer, Andrew Griffin (Felsen), and bass player Eran Ellerbeck then performed on Duff’s debut 2 song single “Wanna Get High”, which was produced by Griffin and fellow San Francisco producer Jeff Rolka. In 2004, Duff joined an exodus of Bay Area musicians to Los Angeles, playing his first gig in LA as lead guitar player for fellow San Francisco act Single at The Gig in Hollywood. The band included singer/guitarist Todd Herfindal (The Meadows) and drummer Tommy Rickard (Vain, Linda Perry). Within a month, Duff fell in cahoots with bass player Rick Barrio Dill (Vintage Trouble), drummer George Bernardo (Cash’d Out, Evangenitals) and vocalist Teri Untalan – a band that was captured in the five song EP “400 Miles” at Rich McCulley’s Red Hill recording studios in San Francisco soon after. Rob Beaton mixed it in Los Angeles, and it was named a top 25 release for 2005 by Music Connection Magazine. The unsigned band played widely in the Los Angeles area and San Francisco with vocalist Carlett Martin taking over for Untalan on harmonies. Now managed by CLM Management in Burbank, Duff began a series of “jive and drive” solo tours of colleges, listening rooms and house concerts all the way from the Mexican border right up to Bellingham, WA and out east to Texas and Arizona, playing on live television and radio along the way. In Arizona, one morning television show appearance coincided with Nolan Ryan, one of Duff’s pitching heroes. “Suddenly” was used on MTV. All this traveling and music making led to Duff’s next record “Good Things,” released in 2008 on Single Recordings. Strange coincidences and handshakes made in dark bars led to many of his favorite lights in the LA roots scene joining in the record: Rick Barrio Dill, Mike Stinson, Tony Gilkyson, Tommy Rickard, Todd Herfindal, Kevin Houlihan, Rob Douglas, Heather Waters, Rich McCulley, Amy Farris, Taras Prodaniuk, Carmen Doane and Jared Barkan. Herfindal and McCulley participated also as co-writers and producers. In 2014, Duff began issuing a series of about a dozen unreleased songs starting with the track “Interstellar Poetry” mixed with the occasional video and the odd ukelele. These recordings showcased a stripped down sound with only acoustic guitar and voice performed live to “tape,” a style that Duff soon came to focus on in public performances as well. The record “My Story Is The Same” (2018), produced by Ted Wulfers and Todd Herfindal, featured 9 such tracks that showcase pop melodies combined with a driving rhythmic acoustic style and soulful topics. The warm reception to this new sound led Duff Ferguson to his next solo acoustic record “More Than I Should,” released in 2019. It is a 10-track acoustic bonanza that once again captures Duff performing alone with a humble 1960s student guitar into 3 vintage mics. Duff’s too-tender voice is set free in this setting to trace a singularly personal line though the tracks. It floats from one register to another, breaks like a wave and slides behind the beat when you need it most. Duff is currently at work on his seventh record, working once again with Wulfers and Herfindal, slated for 2020 release. He and songwriter Tom Bishel have released an EP of rock co-writes also recorded at Wulfers’ 663 Sound Studio under the name Origin Story. Duff can also been seen as 1/2 of the improvisational acoustic duo Blues At The End Of Time with Jared Barkan. Duff has produced recordings for artists such as Jared Barkan (“Dark Blue”/2006), Carmen Doane and Kim DiVine. He has co-written songs with Simon Lynge (“One Day at a Time”/BMI), Todd Herfindal (“The Things That Lovers Do”/BMI & ASCAP), Rich McCulley (“Never Enough”/BMI), Allan Frank (“Open Your Eyes”/BMI) and Tom Bishel (“One Step to the Top,” “No Better Time,” “Walk to the Edge” & “Guardian Angel”/BMI). Duff has also helped several hundred artists design artwork and create photos/video for their music releases, including The Spencer Davis Group, The Meadows, David Serby, Grant Langston and Rich McCulley to name a few. Duff lives in Los Angeles. | |

With Dad on the fiddle, Mom on the banjo, John on guitar and his sisters on the piano and organ, the household was a lively place to be on a Saturday night. As a young boy, John's family would spend Saturday nights with his family, at the homes of relatives. These musical house parties were regular events throughout his childhood. John's music was influenced by John Prine as well as Neil Young, John Denver and the Eagles. By age 20, he was writing his own music and lyrics. A few years later, he made his first professional recording at Tamarack Sound and had airplay for some of his own songs on some well-known Ontario Country radio stations. His music attracted interest from Hamilton, ON based Indie label ROTO NOTO Records. He recorded 6 original songs at the renowned Grant Avenue Studios. These recordings were distributed world wide and received airplay in 23 countries. John was then offered an opportunity to record videos for his songs for Hamilton's television station, who had a big show featuring Canadian country artists. He was featured on CHAM radio station's 'This Week in Canadian Country'. | |
