Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Lars Ekengren | Örnsköldsvik, Sweden With a voice that maneuvers effortlessly from a heartrending intimacy to a matter-of-life-and-death roar, Lars Ekengren challenges the very best at delivering a song in a way that leaves no one untouched. Native of Örnsköldsvik, a small town on the coast of northern Sweden, Ekengren grew up to the sound of Ronnie James Dio coming from a cassette player and his father playing jazz trumpet in the basement. Though an engineer by trade, music has been the common thread in Ekengren’s life. In the late 00’s he started performing with original songs, often colored by his five-year stay in the US in the early decade. Following the state win in a song contest hosted by Swedish radio in 2013, his entry song ”153 More Days” got a fair share of airtime and the growing of a fan base slowly started. In 2015 came his debut release, the live-feel EP ”Dirt”, which was well received and served as a stepping stone for landing opening gigs for acts such as Drew Holcomb, Uncle Lucius and The Thousand Dollar Playboys. Ekengren’s debut album ”Monsters” (2018) is a gracefully arranged and well produced collection of songs that certainly brings more to mind than a middle-aged engineer from a small town in the north of Sweden. Blurring the lines between pop, rock and alt-country, ”Monsters” showcases Ekengren’s acute sense for an infectious melody, his powerful lyrical imagery, and – much thanks to his vocals – a persistent energy that this genre of music is not spoiled with. Reflecting on ”Monsters”, Ekengren says: ”It has taken my entire life to write this album – both literally and figuratively. It’s a collection of songs that echoes of fear, pain, happiness, sorrow, love, memories, hopelessness, confusion, resignation, hope, anxiety, alienation … well, pretty much everything and anything that fits into one’s existence. Despite it being my first album – it’s my legacy, of some sort.”.

Both were a huge influence on TM, who started to produce beatz on his own in the early 2000s. Carpe Diem.

Search | Add | 5 | DLG The Byronic Hero | Denardo Lee Gastin | Liberian-American artist, photographer, vlogger, and musician. Born: 3 August 1984 in Atlanta, GA, USA Never professionally trained in music, Denardo Lee Gastin raised himself, around Arts and Entertainment since childhood, especially around music. Growing up, he was listening to various Liberian music, but also cited earlier influences, such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Michael Jackson, house music, East Coast Underground Hip Hop, and the late 1990s/early 2000s Nu Metal & Rap Rock scene, as contributes to his style. Following the footsteps of his late father who was also a musician, he started writing music lyrics in 2000, at the age of 15, but wasn't recorded on Audio until 2008, only using an MP3 player over licensed instrumentals, during a 2008-2009 period of being a rapper on MySpace. Surviving recordings of his rap music, still exist on his Reverbnation page. By 2011, he re-emerged as an instrumentalist, recording his first 2 instrumentals, but didn't return to music again, until 2015, after now solely recording music from his iPad Pro, with various music applications, that made it easier for him. By 2018, he finally released his 1st album, "Here Ye, Here Ye! (Vol. 1)" on his 34th birthday that year. DLG's musical style is very eclectic, ranging from Electronic, House, Hip Hop, Acid Jazz, Minimal, Shibuya-Kei, Afrobeat, and Latin. |

He chose to collaborate with Myo in a song titled Rock N’ Roll Sampai Mati, which soon became the theme song for Myo’s popular travel show Ride Hensem. The chemistry between them was so good that both men agreed to transform Jameson Project into supergroup Jemson, a playful “Malayisation” of Jameson. Search | Add | 5 | Schmrtz Teatar | Schmrtz Teatar | Schmrtz Teatar was founded in 1995 by a group of young people who were interested in applied art by "recycling old ideas" about modern and politically engaged theatrical statements. Since its beginnings they primarily wanted to question human rights policies, ecology, social crticism, modern primitivism, subculture movements, alternative social views, civil society, cultural autonomy ... The group states neither a definied hierarchical structure nor a constant leadership that is membership - it is strongly fluid and acts mostly in the form of "ad hoc" groupings. A constant stronghold of the group are musical and multimedia instalations concerning overall socio-critical engagement (see also : Living Theatre, San Francisco Red Theatre, Andy Warhol's Factory scene, The Fugs). |

All members, including De Groot, have since worked together in partial formations. As a collective they created Nasmak PM (PlusMinus) in 2018. PM mainly stands for PlusMinus, to indicate that the line-up is variable and it is not just about the old Nasmak: members have left, or are sometimes unavailable, and there is also a desire to be able to work with guests. Nasmak PM started 40 years after the founding of Nasmak by Joop, Henk and Toon. PM1 Perpetuum Moblie: “[m=3384664]” (2023) is the first album of this renewed collaboration. It is called Perpetuum Mobile, because the 9 tracks on it are related to material from the early Nasmak days.

Although is little known, she also won the 1st Prize for Interpretation, with the band [a=Los Iruña'ko] at the 2nd Benidorm Festival, in 1960. Taking advantage of the pull of his triumph in Benidorm, a new release with clear rhythmic content was immediately published: "Te Amaré Toda la Vida" ([a=Hispavox], 1960), but didn't achieve significant sales. In the 1961 edition of the Benidorm Festival -third in chronological order-, which had already become the most important event of that incipient modern Spanish music, she did not attend. However, she recorded an EP with songs from that date, led by the winning song "Enamorada", generically titled "III Spanish Song Festival" ([l=Hispavox], 1961), but went completely unnoticed. Her acting career was more succesful so he move to acting (for instance “Plácido”, byLuis García Berlanga, 1961). She would no longer record or participate in musical activities. |

Search | Add | 5 | Drift Mouth | Originally conceived as a retirement gift for Lou Poster's father upon his completion of 37 years mining for Consolidation Coal in West Virginia, the first recording that would become the foundation for Drift Mouth was made in 2006. Poster and drummer Brad Swiniarski had met playing shows together in previous bands (Poster in Grafton, Swiniarski in Bob City, the Means, Bigfoot) but had never worked together in a writing/recording environment. The result was a collection of covers (Dark as a Dungeon) and originals (Loveridge is Burning) that captured a modern yet decidedly time-arrested feel, like an old photograph that somehow hasn't faded or yellowed. As sometimes happens with projects like these, once the sessions were finished the completed work was delivered to its intended audience of one, and shelved for later. Eight years later, as it turns out. As the conversations turned into practices, more pieces were added to the group: Marc Spurgeon, Craig Davidson, Josh “Roscoe” Draher, and Regan Tonti. More ideas were invited in, and the sounds grew to include multi-part harmonies and layered guitars. Over the years, inevitable lineup changes have taken place—in 2016 bass was picked up by Eric Johnson, while slide and rhythm guitar duties were taken over by Brett Burleson.
