Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Ndongo Lo | Ndongo Lô, had difficulties entering the music scene. One day, during a concert of Papa Ndiaye Guéwel, he went to the podium and started to sing. He was contacted later to sing one song on Papa Ndiaye Guéwel's next album. At that time, he was poor and ill-dressed, but as soon as he started to sing, everybody was quiet. Although his father Mbagnick Niang refused that he engages in music, he couldn't be stopped. In 2000, he recorded his first album « Ndoortel », only released in Senegal as a cassette. The success was immediate, and Ndongo Lo toured in Gambia and did some concerts in Europe. Ndongo Lo also toured and performed live here in America as well. He performed here in Ohio for example in Cincinnati in the early and mid 2000’s. He was also featured on the albums 411 by Gokh-Bi System and the 2002 album Allez, Allez !!! by Gloire Des Stars. His 2003 album « Tarkhiss » was also released on CD and he became well known in Europe as well as in the United States. In December 2004 he released a third album « Aduna » (Life). Already very ill, he sang about the way he looked at life and about thanking friends and religious leaders (Ndongo Lo was a follower [talibé] of Mouride leader Serigne Fallou Mbacké). Because of that, Ndongo was called Mou Serigne Fallou Niang. The album was recorded with the band he had created, Le groupe Jamm. The band continues to perform and promised to publish yet unreleased songs written by Ndongo Lo. On Friday, 14 January 2005, Ndongo Lo performed for the last time. On stage in a night club in Dakar, he felt ill and vomited on stage. He was brought into hospital. On Sunday, he asked his mother-in-law for a soup, his favourite meal. He ate the soup in company of his wife and his manager, and shortly after that he died in his wife's arms. Ndongo Lo had become very popular among the people of Pikine, a poor Dakar suburb. this was because of his free speech and the fact that a young singer of a poor family and from a poor neighbourhood could rise from misery and become famous, yet never forgetting his friends and fellow Pikine people. When he died, thousands of people in Pikine came in the streets refusing to believe that the rumour was true. Unfortunately, it was true... 200,000 people were present during the funeral ceremony in the holy town of Touba. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Monochromystic | When astronauts were launched to the moon in the 1960s, they found a “magnificent desolation” and a unique sense of solitude that can only come from being a quarter of a million miles away from the rest of humankind. Compared to the scale of their mission, the resources they were able to bring were relatively minimal and highly focused. Monochromystic finds inspiration in that expansive solitude and focused limitation, producing each spare, ambient work with a single monosynth and a handful of knobby effects in a single take. | |

Soon after, he was afforded the opportunity (at age 40) to start his first band. Lucente’s prolific songwriting skills enabled the ever-evolving band to present an adults-only, dance-friendly original blend of Zydeco, Blues and R&B to their considerable and rabid fan base. It also supported the release of five successful albums comprised totally of original songs. Their annual Crawfish Fiestas routinely drew 10,000 fans. The band’s proud induction into The 2014 Kansas Music Hall of Fame is dedicated to the late, great Ed Toler, bassist for 17 years of the bands existence.

| Search | Add | 6 | Dallaserra | Maxime Dallaserra | Fresh, groovy, radical, exciting, stirring! Maxime Dallaserra is a composer of electronic music. The use very early of the machines like VIC 20, COMMODORE 64, and trackers on AMIGA influenced his musical choices considerably. But most important was undoubtedly his meeting with the music of ART OF NOISE, then WARP (LFO), Orbital and THE ORB on the one hand, and the world of dance music with Richie Hawtin, Joey Beltram... on the other hand. From now on, his objective is to produce a high quality music without compromise, in order to perpetuate the movement initiated by the aformentioned artists. |

Much of their material comes from hours of demo tapes recorded in London and New York. The tapes were lost until two of the original band members found them in storage during the lockdown. | Search | Add | 6 | DjRoninTokyo | Originally from the suburbs of Washington DC, and now a fixture of the Tokyo underground, DjRoninTokyo channels decades of involvement across the spectrum of hip-hop and club music into a distinct, passionate approach to scratching. He is a connoisseur selector who seamlessly weaves timeless hip-hop, funk, soul, and RnB into a highly technical DJing style. Authentic, always. His involvement in scratching and DJ culture stretches back to the 90s, when he bought his first set of turntables and immersed himself in the early rave and hip-hop scenes. This passion later grew in Japan, where he became a stalwart of the city's scratch scene. He brings a certain humility to the craft, drawn from an understanding that technical expertise does not always come naturally. Sometimes it needs to be learned. Inspired by years-long work applying music theory to the craft of scratching alongside his musician brother, he has distilled this knowledge into a resource for the future generation of DJs. Building on this foundation, he is the co-founder of Scratching Made Easy, an educational platform that teaches scratching using standard music notation and theory. He is also co-author of Scratching Made Easy Turntable Method Book 1: A Guide to Scratching, a widely used resource for DJs and educators. He regularly appears on the Scratching Made Easy YouTube channel, sharing tutorials that provide clear, structured guidance to help DJs of all levels develop their skills. As part of the Scratching Made Easy production team, they released the 2023 album Odyssey and also put out mixes that reflect their technical style and musical sensibilities.

| Search | Add | 6 | Toninho Almeida | Toninho Almeida | Multi-instrumentalist author/composer born in Euclide Da Cunha, a small town in Bahia, Brazil, Toninho Almeida has had a passion for artistic expression from a very young age. He arrived in Rio at the age of 17 and was struck by the urban cultural melting pot he discovered - an artist was born! He proved to be an impulsive poet, a versatile actor and a prolific, self-taught guitarist. Next stop Sao Paulo where the decadence of the dictatorship heralds a cultural scene seething with excitement, freedom and consciousness-raising. He publishes poems and goes from one poetry, theatrical and musical scene to another with his compositions. He is opening act for, among others, Gilberto Gil. He reinforces his musical gifts through a rigorous apprenticeship and becomes a professor at the Contemporary Music Academy of Bahia. He flies off to France in 1990 - first Paris, then Lille. He teaches dance, guitar and percussion and, at the same time, starts up numerous musical projects and goes on several tours inspired by the recording of two albums: Violette 41 and Mitade. Five years go by during which Toninho decides to get back to his cultural roots and Brazilian standards (forro, traditional Afro-Brazilian music, pagoda. . . .) From this arises the creation of projects such as Samba de Bamba and Forro Pitu. Filled with renewed energy with a new album in the works Deu Forro No Samba, he reinterprets his own music. Above all, he presents his latest compositions, a new group, new inspiration. Often on the road, Toninho has already performed at: L'Aéronef (Lille) La Barraca Zem (Lille) La Gare Saint-Sauveur (Lille) Le Centre Culturel Guy Gambu (Saint-Marcel) Le Centre Culturel Daniel Balavoine (Arques) Le P'tit Bal Perdu (Paris) Festival Forró Lille Forró Festival Cologne Journées des Danses d'Amérique Latine (Limoges) Festival des Mondes Pluriels (Grande-Synthe) Festival Zum Zum Zum (Londres) Festival Angoleiros do Mar (Paris) Bal à Fives (Lille) Festival Musiques de Traverse (Lille, Roubaix, Saint-Amand) Wazemmes l'accordéon (Lille) Roubaix Accordéon (Roubaix) Deûle en Fête (Lille) |
