Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Simbad Segui Simbad Segui Born and raised in Paris, where his reggae-dub roots were fed with hip hop through years of graffiti raids, and with techno and house after listening to Laurent Garnier, at 17 Simbad Segui chose the city of Cordoba to call it home. Since 1996 he started djing at clubs and cultural events. Tightly linked to the development of the local electronic music scene, in 1998 he co-organized a series of interdisciplinary events called Mundo-Mix, one of them taking place at the Contemporary Art Center of Cordoba. Many clubs from Buenos Aires gradually began to demand Simbad on the turntables. After his debut in the world famous Clubland nights at Pacha, his visits to the capital city of Argentina suddenly multiplied. Apart from playing at every local Creamfields edition, he"s also played big events such as Brahma Beats, 1Live! and SonarSound Buenos Aires 2006 featuring Isolee and Warp"s Plaid, among other artists. His talent often jumps abroad: he played many gigs in Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil and France. Through the Dialogo Beat collective formed by visual artists, writers and musicians, Simbad has programmed and played different events with such guests as fellow Canadian artist Mike Shannon. To his regular commitments around Cordoba, and the whole country, he adds two monthly residencies at Peek-a-boo and Lokitas, where he"s played with the likes of Phil Stumpf, Someone Else and Serafin. His best selections can also be enjoyed in Buenos Aires: monthly at the Soup night at Bahrein club, with dj friends Carlos Alfonsin and Cristobal Paz

Search Add 2 The Booginz The Booginz are a four-piece rock group based in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Very rarely do four musicians come together and blend as well as The Booginz do. Their instruments and voices all come together to create a sound that some people compare to Mr. Bungle, but is still very unique and very original. Their music bounces back-and-forth between heavy and melodic while the lyrics come in very smooth and harmonious. With George having the duty of lead vocals, he pounds out a smooth voice that mixes perfectly with the music and avoids any loud screaming or rapping, no matter how heavy the music is. Bass player Ben also helps out by doing a lot of vocals, giving the lyrics two different sounds throughout the set and still blending. Then when David, the guitar player, decides to sing with them, the three voices come together in perfect harmony to create an amazing site to see and make O-Town look like those barking dogs that sing Christmas carols. Not missing a beat the whole set is Sean on drums, pounding out sounds to support the guitar and bass. Ben is probably one of the better bass players I've ever seen and Sean isn't too shabby on guitar either. All together the three of them create a very unique sound with their instruments, without one sticking out and stealing the show, blending together perfectly.

Search Add 2 Diabolical Deformity Diabolical Deformity was born in 2004, with Carlos in guitars, Lalo in the bass and Fernando in the drum kit, after months of unsuccessfull search for a vocalist, Carlos decides to take this paper too. Diabolical Deformity is gore inspired metal, but in a more artistic and poetic way. Having as principal influence the 80's thrash and death metal, the sound was a mix between 80's metal and new stuff. Carlos in the year 2007 records the band's demo as a solo musician, and gives a technical brutal death metal state of mind to Diabolical Deformity.
