Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

But Moe always have to leave them on voicemail because they are so persistent about their destiny... as they are way too damn focus on eating just potato chips and snoozin' constantly! Years before, when the Renfro Valley project was just a dream that everyone said would never come true, John Lair promised Slim that when the big barn was built - if it ever was - he could fiddle the first tune on the first broadcast. Slim stuck around a matter of ten years to see if he really meant it. If the listeners had their way, Slim would have probably be there to fiddle the last tune as well. Search | Add | 8 | Borislav Vakinov | Borislav Vakinov | Borislav Vakinov (also known as "Witness True Sorcery" on the internet) is an artist, writer, blogger and a gamer based in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. A long-time reader of horror fiction, mysteries and existential philosophy. He is an independent researcher of the Occult, Western Magic and Esotericism, and he currently runs three musical projects in different genres. Borislav started out as a freelance graphic designer back in 2008/2009, where he mostly created album covers, posters, banners and logos for personal projects, as well as for various websites, clients and bands. Most of his late work draws inspiration heavily from fantasy, mythology, video games and design, objectivism, occultism and magick. He became very interested in the fields of the more fringe-end and weird side of life since his early childhood, while watching The X-Files and reading Stephen King's novels. Years later he became known on the internet with his DeviantArt page and YouTube channel. All of the artistic work he did in recent years led him into branching out into new territories and develop the necessary skills in order to grow as an artist and as a writer. He also has a rather varied taste for Art and he's heavily addicted to black and white movies, BioShock, RPGs, Jazz, Bluegrass and Country Music. These days, Borislav mostly writes books and works as a graphic designer for a living, but sometimes he also works on music and various art-related projects. In his spare time, he often goes for long hikes in the local forests and mountainous regions of his native home. |

Search | Add | 8 | The Bisquits | The Biquits is a bulgarian dance band founded in 1995 by Sasho T., Sasho S. and Tisho. The original idea was about a remixers' team but soon it turned into an original project with the first single release "Ghaidi (Welcome To Bulgaria)". Its an original dance track featuring the sound of an authentical bulgarian music instrument big pipe. The result was unbelievable and the track became a summer hit in Bulgaria during 1996. The bulgarian national soccer team chose it as its official hymn for the Euro Games '96, the dutch company ToCo International signed it for distribution and the single was released in different compilations for 36 contries. The single was presented on popular radio shows for BBC and Billboard. The bulgarian traditional folklore voices and instruments like ghaida (big pipe), kaval and tambura, mixed with dance music, became a trade mark of the band and the following singles "Goro", "Horo", "Kaval", were sticked to this style. In 1998 the band changed a bit its members and turned the name into The Bisquits Project. With the new female dancer and singer Biliana (Bi) they started producing new singles like "The Return" following the current dream dance style at the end of the 90s. They had a lot of live and tv performances, also the singles got many airplays in radio and tv shows. After the release of their album "The Return" in 1998, the band took a pause and the lead producers started solo carrers releasing some singles under the alias Alex and Dj T60. In 2014, one of the main producers - Dj Tisho, decided to relive the project and make a comeback, changing its name again to The New Bisquits Project. He remixed the old 90's singles into a new updated versions and recorded some brand new songs like "Bela Beka", "White Rose" and "Pilence Pee", in the same formula of traditional bulgarian folk melodies mixed with house music. All new songs, mixes and original singles were released in the new album entitled "DG / BG" ("Digital / Bulgarian"). "Bela Beka" was chosen for the first single of the album, featuring the folklore singer Nikoleta. Search | Add | 8 | Paul Sol | Gonzalo Hernán Salas Eguiguren | He was born in the city of Loja in 1942. He had a sad childhood because he lived in some orphanages. "I grew up in an orphanage in Quito, then I was transferred to Cuenca, and when I was a little boy they took me to Loja -according to the origin of their artistic name." It occurred to me to put Paúl Sol in thanks for my childhood in the orphanage. from the city of Cuenca Juan Vicente de Paul and sun for the God who accompanies me. " In his student life he began to triumph in intercollegiate competitions singing rancheras. In 1963 he left Loja and settled in Guayaquil, where he began to sing on radio stations until he won an amateur contest of the 'Saturdays of Atalaya' program. By then he had already made friends with the young artists: Pepe Parra from Los Cuervos, Marco Molina from Los Corverts, César Augusto Montalvo, Pepe Morey and others. And he sang the fashion themes of the Mexicans Enrique Guzmán, Alberto Vásquez, César Costa and the French Charles Aznavour. But he considers that his professional life began one night in 1965 at the Olmedo theater when he was invited to the Ernesto Albán Show, which had the brothers as special artists. Miño Naranjo, the trio Los Brillantes and other artists who did not arrive in time to the theater. It was when the animator Lucho Gálvez threw it into the arena and Paúl Sol sang his song Si se ver llorar and the audience applauded him in a rage. "This is how Paúl Sol was born in the Olmedo Theater and in the Ernesto Albán Show," he says, adding that he then began to write his tragic songs that were a success when they recorded. In 1966 and 1967 he won three gold albums. Two for the simple Burlado / El baladí and the third for: If they see you cry / The night. "To get the gold record, you had to sell 50,000 copies, the whole country had my record that sold like hot cakes," he recalls. He thinks he had the acceptance of people because he was an original artist who did not copy foreigners. The audience was ecstatic with their superdramatic performances. "I started singing the tragic songs and I was on the floor," he says excitedly, "but always according to the meaning of the lyrics. If he sang If they see you crying, it would end in a corner, with Burlado I would go to the floor and break my shirt. I always asked that the theater be in darkness, only with the light of a reflector and I would go onstage from the corregidor's hollow because the theater employees raised me from below. The people loved that. It began with El Baladí and ended with Burlado on the floor and with a torn shirt. People said: "Poor thing, look like he cries, and it was the reverendo heat, sometimes I cried because of the emotion of the audience that applauds you standing, that's the greatest thing for an artist." I'm more Guayaquil than lojano because Guayaquil gave me the triumph". In 1970 he recorded his only long play Paúl Sol, the tragic baladista with twelve songs. He stopped doing it when he found out that they would never give him royalties because, according to the contract with this label, he paid for his artistic promotion. From 1974, he became an artistic representative and brought Los Angeles Negros, El Greco, Palito Ortega, César Costa, Leo Dan, and from 1980 to 1989 he represented the Colombian Lisandro Meza in 140 presentations throughout the country |

Search | Add | 8 | Master Ibrahim | Master Ibrahim (1915-1980) | Master Ibrahim (1915-1980) started learning the clarinet at the age of 11. A prolific musician, Ibrahim (often also spelt as Ebrahim), seems to have been equally at home as a Hindustani classical musician (he recorded both for AIR and HMV) and as a film musician. Unlike many of his contemporaries in the film orchestras, his name was well-known amongst the general public because HMV also released many records of his instrumental versions of popular film songs. Searching on the Internet, I came across an extract from a dissertation paper by a New York-based clarinetist Shanti Raval titled 'The Adaptation of the Clarinet to Hindustani Music: The Playing Style of Master Ebrahim'. In her paper, Raval claims that Master Ebrahim 'remains to this day, the only Indian clarinetist to play on the Boehm system.' The Boehm clarinet, Raval explains, is used by 'the majority of Western classical musicians.... Master Ebrahim, however, was able to convey many of the inflections of Hindustani music on a Boehm clarinet.' Another admirer of Master Ibrahim was the young Ruskin Bond: "I was also fond of the clarinet (turj) playing of an Indian musician, Master Ibrahim, and I had some of his recordings which transported me back to the streets and bazaars of small-town India. Light, lilting and tuneful, I preferred this sort of flute music to the warblings of the more popular songsters." |

Search | Add | 8 | Jose Luis D.F. |

Search | Add | 8 | Draumr | Gabriel Cheurfa | Meaning 'dream' in ancient Norse, Draumr stands out as the solo project of the french musician, producer and director Gabriel Cheurfa. Through spell-binding visuals reminiscent of the surrealism of David Lynch, Michel Gondry, Salvador Dalí or Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and a very distinct sound blending dream pop, downtempo, glo-fi and chillwave, the multifaceted artist draws on memories, real or distorted, to build a bridge over emptiness - a junction of dreams and trailing echoes of the past. After the array of pastels and colors of his first two unclassifiable EPs Nefelibata (2015), and Ethereal Mildness (2018) (mixed by the legendary French Touch producer Stéphane 'Alf' Briat), Draumr releases his debut album Drawn-Out Daydream (2020), taking us on an unusual yet intimate and authentic journey. It invites us in its composite universe, grounding us in the present, creating a delicate and dreamlike state. Through its soft synthetic layers on Sage Green Eyes, its ethereal choirs and its warm rhythms on the epic and soothing Solace In Loneliness or the uplifting sophisti-pop duos with the rising french pop singer Dorcas on the songs Sunlight Tryst and Another Heart, the artist rouses our spirits, suspends time, and frees us for a moment, from the weight of modernity. The newly released, hypnotic and catchy nu-disco/avant-pop tune In a Daze (2023) brings out new colors to the project, setting up a solar odyssey somewhere lost in time and space. |
