Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 8 | Kidd Skruff | The time was the early 1990's. Rock And Roll was about to make a turn that had not been seen since the early 1960's when a group of youngsters from Liverpool struck the first chords of their debut album. The sound that was generating from the North Western territories of the United States was unlike any music that had been recorded in the past, and it was about to take the world by storm. This is where we start the story of Manalapan, New Jersey band Kidd Skruff. The New Jersey music scene that had just produced such legendary bands as Bon Jovi, Skid Row and others that were at the time reffered to as "Hair Bands", were about to give way to the grunge movement. While such bands as Nirvana,Pearl Jam, Temple Of The Dog and others of that jondra were on the rise, Kidd Skruff was just about to form. "Skruff" started as a side project for then Lead Singer/Guitarist Jimmy Forest who was performing with the popular New Jersey band "Push" in the late 80's and early 90's. At that time, Jimmy was the Drummer/Songwriter for "Push",and had a plethora of musical ideas that he wanted to express but they just didn't quite fit the style of the band. He needed to find an outlet, Jimmy first called on his childhood friend Ray Sorenson, and together they decided they needed to put together a band and somehow get this music out into the mainstream. Jimmy was to sing, and also play guitar in this new project. Being close friends growing up, and practicing many hours in his basement, he and Sorenson could feel each others vibes and played off one another like it was an extension of each other's musical talents. Now that Sorenson was in place, Jimmy decided to hand pick the bands talent from the overwhelming supply of musicians in the New Jersey Bayshore area. They first called upon the services of Randy Powers, bass player extraordinaire who happened to be a close friend and frequent acquaintance of Forest. Not only was Randy Jimmy's favorite bass player, he was extremely talented and fit the band perfectly as he knew where the two were coming from since their inception. Finally to complete the band, Jimmy recruited another local musician Brian Clayton who at the time was playing drums for a top New Jersey cover band, and doing local studio work. When Jimmy hear the backbeat rythms and ass breaking sounds of the skins that night in Edison, he knew right away this was the last piece of the puzzle. From the first moments it was like Forest had captured lightning in a bottle. They had a sound that was best described as The Beatles meet Skid Row. The next step was to record a demo tape of songs that Forest had selected. The demo was done in a shitty 12 track recording studio, 3 tracks were busted, Forest knew he was on to something very real. But be reminded the time frame is now the early 90’s and Nirvana had just broken all boundaries. With the surge of the sound coming from Seattle, Forest knew this project was now just for shits and giggles, but still had to know for himself how it would pan out if presented to the music industry. Jimmy knew he had nothing to lose, so he sent the demo out to some of his music industry friends. Shortly afterwards he received a phone call from a small independent label stating they wanted to release the album. “Skruff” needed a quality recording now at a discount price. Jimmy Forest recalls..“ I Remember it well. We all kicked in a few grand and booked time in the best studio we could get for the money in New Jersey, BUTTERFIELDS I think it was called, then recruited producer Steve Decutis. We recorded and mixed the album in like a week,so we immediatly sent out the master tapes and artwork to Azra Records”. By this time the Seattle “Grunge” scene had totally taken over and just as quick as it rose to the top, the new sound of Rock and Roll buried the successful 80’s and 90’s commercial Metal scene. The days of long hair, make up, glitter, over indulgence and unrestricted partying was over. The small record company that had recorded “Skruff’s” one and only album had gone bankrupt. The original recording was sold only on cassette, had a short release and sold only a few thousand copies. With the overwhelming popularity of the internet, a lot of those classic "Hair" bands have gained a whole new audience. Those same bands now tour again with the original lineups, and sell out concert venues on a nightly basis. Now as the music of that time is being teamed with the development of guitar video games that often uses these bands songs as the backbone of the game, the youth of the world is once again yearning for that big sound of the guitars, bass, personalities and attitudes that only the 80’s could deliver. As Forest sits back with that reminiscing look in his eyes, he states....”We never forgot how to play, People just forgot how to listen. So now it is time for All Things Kidd Skruff". Kidd Skruff is: Jimmy Forest - Lead Vocals, Guitars & Drums on "The Flower Song" & "Thank U" Ray Sorensen - Guitar Randy Powers - Bass & Background Vocals Brian Clayton - Drums & Background Vocals | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Anabollic Steroids | Anabollic Steroids (deliberate misspelling) are a punk band who first appeared in 1978 as a hoax, with sessions taped from John Peel shows. Young punks James Bondage and Kappa pushed the fake demos around their school, convincing peers that they were a proper band. By 1981, with the introduction of Steve Steroid and 999 Si, they had recorded their own material and become a genuine gigging band with a following known as 'Stinkers'. They split early in 1983. They reformed for a gig in 2012 at the 12 Bar in London which led to the band reforming. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Philharmonic Orchestra Of New York | The name Philharmonic Orchestra Of New York was in use on Columbia releases conducted by Stransky roughly 1917-1923. When Mengelberg took over as conductor in 1922, recordings were released by Victor under the name New York Philharmonic Orchestra (1922-1928). Throughout this period, the concert programs used the formal name "The Philharmonic Society of New York", while "The Philharmonic Orchestra" was the short form referring the the actual orchestra. In 1928, it merged with [a1325307] and the two joint orchestras took the new name: Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra Of New York (P-SONY). The first concert after the merger and name change was on October 4, 1928. For recordings from the pre-1928 era, but issued later with P-SONY or NYP as artist: just credit the named orchestra "as on release" with ANV if necessary - no need to credit PONY. Highlights include guest spotting with "The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra", appearing on many radio and T.V. shows, regular appearances on the weekly CFGM Opry North Shows, Toronto Press Club events, United Nations celebrations, CBC radio shows with Milan Kymlicka, their own "Special" on City TV, CNE Bandshell, sharing the stage or performing along side many stars as Lucille Starr, Alan Thicke, Ian Tyson, Ronnie Hawkins, Carroll Baker, Anne Murray, Frank Mills, The Mercey Brothers, Stompin Tom, Gary Lalonde, Kelly Preston to name a few. Crazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers (also known as Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers, Crazy Cavan "N" The Rhythm Rockers, Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers) are a Teddy Boy band from South Wales. The band formed in 1970, and has still been actively touring and recording. The band appeared in the 1980 film Blue Suede Shoes which detailed the revival of 1950s rock 'n' roll music scene at the time. The first incarnation of the band was formed in 1964 by Cavan Grogan (vocals), Lyndon Needs (lead guitar) and Terry Walley (rhythm guitar) under the name "Count Dracula and the Vampires". In 1968, joined by Brian Thomas (piano) and Don Kinsella (bass), they took the name "The Sundogs" which they borrowed from Alan Freed who was known as "Moondog" and combined it with their taste for Sun Records, a label which they used to buy at that time. Then in 1970, with the addition of Mike Coffey (drums), they took the name "Crazy Cavan 'n' the Rhythm Rockers", a name which has endured. In 1973, the band formed its own record label, Crazy Rhythm Records (named after their own description of their music) and released their debut single, "Teddy Boy Boogie" (backed with "Bop Little Baby"). In 1975 they released their first album Crazy Rhythm on the Dutch Rockhouse label. In 1976, they signed with Charly Records in the UK, and released their second album, Rockability. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Hamburger Pankoken Kapelle | Until the 1950s, Pankokenkapelle was a type of bands that roamed the streets of Hamburg (Germany) and made music to solicit money from passers-by and residents. As a rule, they were quartets, sometimes also trios, which mainly played wind instruments. Most of the time the musicians wore black bowler hats, more rarely also top hats. Their fixed routes through certain parts of the city had to be officially approved. It is said that they mainly had well-known Hamburg songs in their repertoire and that some days they made people dance on the streets. The name goes back to Leberecht Pankoken, son of a clarinet player from Krempe, who came to the city around 1850 and founded (instead of a brass orchestra) the first Pankokenkapelle. | |

Christallen started out as a pure song group but over the years the music developed and the blues section took on a more prominent role. In this way, you created your own profile. Lennart Sjöholm, who was a foreground figure within the group, composed his own songs and lyrics and arranged all material for the group. Christallen appeared in various contexts in churches, sports arenas and concert venues as well as in various entertainment events and places of worship, because they wanted to reach outside the church's framework. Often the group played in front of crowded premises. Among other things, they participated in and introduced the youth program Gospel Night together with Offensive Nytt Liv. The group also participated in several gospel gala, including with the choir [a=Choralerna]. Christallen toured all over the country but also in Denmark and Norway. Soon they were busy in complex rough directions, and the technology as a whole is sound experiments in such directions and styles as techno, trance, idm, doom, industrial, rhythmic noise, under the wing of its own network label "sacramental", where he hid under the Exact Noise. He performed in clubs and hidden forests. In 2015, recording began on the ground. | Search | Add | 8 | Suki Lee | Who is Suki Lee? One of the more real female rappers, Suki Lee has made a name for herself in the industry. Born in San Jose California Suki Lee aspired from an early age to make music her life, so much so that she started writing lyrics at a very young age and performing at talents shows around the bay. Her first real break was being a candidate on battle of the Rappers with SWAY and King tech which she came in 2nd place, The response she was getting from the crowd of music was definitely a positive response, which made her want to take this music stuff to another level. After making a big buzz in the talent shows, and radio battles Suki Lee went on to attend Morris Brown college located in Atlanta Georgia in 1999 where she began bringing her bay area style and sensation to the map in the South. Suki Lees remarkable popularity continues over the internet with hit singles, (VICTORIA SECRET) and (ASSASINATE) Suki is a new breed of tough and talented female MCs to hit the rap scene who not only co-produces some of her own music but writes all her lyrics as well. Though she could be sexy when she chose, she isnt as over the top as Lil' Kim or Foxy Brown. But to Suki Lee music wasnt something to do just for money, it was more then that. Suki Lee use music to express herself and further challenge herself to create new music. Music to Suki Lee is one thing but her goal is to take music and use it to branch off to other projects and expand to other business. Her passion, desire and love for music shows in her work, when it comes to getting work complete she makes sure it gets done. In the end, Suki Lee is her own person; mixing Roc, Pop, and rap making it her own flavor a strong, no-nonsense street MC who could hold her own with most anyone on the mic and is finding success on her own terms. So you ask who is Suki Lee the next Rapper to go where no other rapper has gone before outer space. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Humphrey Astley | Humphrey 'Huck' Astley is a writer and musician based in Oxford, England. In the '00s, Astley founded Rain over Bouville, a poetry press, and was a member of the much-loved noise-rock group Sextodecimo (Oxford's greatest ever metal band, according to the local press). He has since graduated with Distinction from degrees at Ruskin College and the University of Oxford, and his poetry has appeared in a range of British and North American publications. His 2014 pamphlet 'Stones through the Windows to the Soul' is downloadable from this site. In 2010, Astley's short-lived gothic americana quartet Huck & The Handsome Fee embarked on a US tour that would inspire his three-part narrative album 'Alexander the Great: a Folk Operetta', which he describes as "A queer runaway myth of two young friends and their fall from grace in Dixie." Then, in 2013, Huck & The Xander Band partnered with PinDrop Music and adapted 'Alexander the Great' into a stage-show, which was hand-picked by The PRS Foundation for their New Music Plus development scheme. The show debuted at The Cambridge Junction in 2014 and has since been described as "Raw and powerful... an impressive display of visual flair and mesmerising songwriting." (The York Press) Astley is also a member of alt-pop group Crandle and indie-folk band The Epstein, who have just released their third album, 'Burn the Branches'. In the meantime he is writing for Sabotage Reviews and The Oxford Times and is a member of the Oxford Writers' House. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | فاطنة بنت الحسين | Fatna Bent El Hussein (1935 - 2005) was a Moroccan chaabi singer from Sidi Bennour in Morocco. Fatna has been influenced since her childhood by one of the most brilliant female artists of the time, Sheikha L’ghalia. The story began when Sheikha L’ghalia came to sing in one of the weddings in Sidi Bennour. L’ghalia was a unique woman with presence, charisma, deserved respect and pride. She was one of the rare women to drive a car at that time. This incident left a deep impression on Fatna Bent Lhoucine who then set herself the goal of becoming a sheikha like Sheikha L’ghalia. She then moved to the city of Yousoufiya after a short unsuccessful marriage experience. Fatna learned Aita from the big names like Sheikha Khadouj Laabdia and her husband Sheikh Mahjoub among others. These were her first steps toward making her image as a “Diva” and a legend of Aita. Later on, the group began to re-arrange songs performed by Sintir (Gimbri), as well as other songs that belong to women’s groups in the rural area. For example Moulay Abdellah Tohami Salmi, which describes the rituals and way to Moulay Abdellah Amgar festival in the peripheries of the city of El Jadida city. The song Moulay Abdellah is much like Sayed Mekkawi’s song , in which he describes the birth of the prophet. Another example is the song “Chaiba Ya W’lidi” of Qarzouz and Mahrash, which tells the story of a young man named Chaiba who was arrested because of the amount of cannabis that was in his possession. Despite some rearrangement and the use of new instruments like the violin and the lute, Sheikha Fatna Bent Lhoucine has preserved the pure rural authentic style in her songs which can be considered as a revival of Aita music and art. Although the wide changes and the external influence on Aita, Sheikha Fatna Bent Lhoucine, thanks to her conspicuous presence and strong voice, was undoubtedly one of the last artists that the Aita Art is pround of. If the early sheikhat and Shyoukh had the right to take pride in confronting the “makhzen” (Moroccan dictatorship) and French colonial authority, the legend Fatna Bent Lhoucine – proud of her rural identity and character of her unique voice- has the merit of reviving and established the pride of the rual identity. By registering and commemorating a large number of Aita songs, Fanta Bent Lhoucine deserves a historical legitimacy and the title of legend of Aita. She is as a reservoir of preserving the heritage and a model for Aita seasonal songs. Didn’t she said “Rani Sajjelt, La Tgoulo Mett” (artists never die). | |
