Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

He is also a composer and translator/interpreter of Turkish Folk Poets. Born in Los Angeles of Danish-Lebanese-African-American heritage, Nyofu Tyson grew up in a musical home. His Dad was an amateur jazz pianist and avid listener of many styles of music. Nyofu began music as a bassist, playing Jazz and Latin with local groups. He studied Composition, Classical Bass, and North Indian Classical Music at California Institute of the Arts for 2 years. His interest in ethnic music led him to Turkey, where he began playing the long necked lute, Saz. He then lived for many years in Sweden, where he worked with [a=Zülfü Livaneli], [a=Okay Temiz] and [a=Hadji Tekbilek] , all major names in Turkish music. He toured all over Sweden and Europe with these artists, while having his own band and making radio concert and TV appearances in Sweden and Turkey. Since returning to LA in 1994, he has collaborated with Omar Faruk Tekbilek, oudist John Bilezikian and Cuatro Caminos Flamenco among others. In 2004, Nyofu released two CD’s on the 3 Worlds Music label: “Timeless Songs”, a collection of Turkish folk poets from 13th century to present; and “La Guitarra Turca”, original work blending Mideast, Latin and Jazz in an instrumental/vocal mix. He has been a member and featured artist in the Stefani Valadez Ensemble since 2006 and started Turkish/Flamenco fusion group “iST/West” together with Flamenco guitarist Bobby Solakov in 2007. From July 2011 thru Dec 2013 he performed with these groups at Disney California Adventure, introducing the public there to Turkish Poets and popular songs, odd rhythms and Flamenco alaturca. Nyofu travels regularly to Turkey, where he has gained recognition for his interpretations of Turkish folk poets and his eclectic style of Saz playing. In 2010 Nyofu began work on a new collection of Turkish Poet interpretations, featuring his original compositions. Recorded in Izmir, Istanbul and Los Angeles, "Minstrels&Mystics" is to be released in Turkey Spring 2017 by Avrupa Music. Also to be released is 5 song “iST/West” EP “Ciudad de Mi Alma”, featuring the single “Yeni Anladım”. |

Search | Add | 8 | Vadim Pantin | Вадим Пантин | Vadim Pantin is a composer and multi instrumentalist. He was born on November 14, 1988 in Saint Petersburg (Russia). Vadim Pantin is the founder of several musical projects (Abjective, Amachi, DomainMeta, Sejectiøn), the sound-designer, the producer and the co-owner of the British label [l=Eonian Autumn Records]. His mother had got choreographic education and his father was a drummer. Vadim has a elder brother Eugene Pantin, with whom he created musical project Abjective. When Vadim was seven years old, when the family moved to the south of Russia, where Vadim went and graduated from high school. In spite of the musical family in childhood Vadim studied sculpture and graduated from art school, and studied design at the University. In adolescence sculpture passion transformed into a sound research. He started looking for guitar chords borrowed from friend and learned the musical software like Cubase. Pantin wrote his first compositions when he was sixteen years old and was encouraged to develop his natural talents. During this period he like any teenager was looking for himself, his life of use, and the search led him to a life in a monastery, where he spent six months. This period gave aspiring musician faith in their own strength, the ascetic monastic routine helped to temper the character. During obedience Vadim sang in the choir. However, it was only a period, and the walls of religion are not sufficient for artist with a broad vision, so six months later he returned to the familiar life and moved to his hometown of St. Petersburg. Here in cultural capital of Russia he started to collaborate with different artists, made projects with creative association Outsiders Club, joined to St. Petersburg Orchestra of improvisation for some concerts, composed music for music for photo exibitions, short films, video games and other projects. For now arsenal of tools expanded to Logic Pro, Adobe Audition, Pro tools, Ableton live. Vadim Pantin plays a few musical instruments, uses unique devices what were made by his friend special for and sings on texts written by his wife. He collaborates with various musicians from such labels as Acre Recordings (UK), tonAtom (GE), Eonian Autumn Records (UK), Tympanik Audio (USA) and others. His career includes a wide range of composition genres for various tasks, making him a versatile, prolific musician. His music has no bounds. |

Another recording highlight was recording in Hendersonville Nashville Tennessee at The Oak Ridge Brothers Studio backed by Ronnie Milsap’s Band. Lilian & Manon went on and became the lead singers of "Skyliner" who recorded on the Mercey Brothers Label and attained a top 30 single on the Canadian Country RPM Charts. Skyliner headlined in many of the "Top Clubs" on the circuit, touring forty-nine nights straight with weekend matinees and after hour club appearances at the "Matador" before having one night off and starting back again. Skyliner was one of the featured country bands to perform on the last day of live country shows at "The Horseshoe Tavern" in Toronto. They performed extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. Highlights include guest spotting with "The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra", appearing on many radio and T.V. shows, regular appearances on the weekly CFGM Opry North Shows, Toronto Press Club events, United Nations celebrations, CBC radio shows with Milan Kymlicka, their own "Special" on City TV, CNE Bandshell, sharing the stage or performing along side many stars as Lucille Starr, Alan Thicke, Ian Tyson, Ronnie Hawkins, Carroll Baker, Anne Murray, Frank Mills, The Mercey Brothers, Stompin Tom, Gary Lalonde, Kelly Preston to name a few. He is a well-known religious musician, having worked as a producer on albums by singers and bands such as Rayssa & Ravel, Shirley Carvalhaes, Mara Lima, Damares and Lauriete. A native of Maranhão, Melk began his work with contemporary Christian music during the 1980s. He worked, to a large extent, with Pentecostal and country music niche artists. He produced several albums by country duo Rayssa & Ravel and singer Shirley Carvalhaes during the 1990s and, in the early 2000s, he was responsible for Cristina Mel's Pentecostal phase albums. In 2006, the album Eu e Jesus, by the duo Daniel & Samuel, produced by Melk, won the Talento Trophy. In 2009, he won again with the production of the album Em Todo Tempo Louve, by Robinson Monteiro, in the Best Pentecostal Album category. In the category, the producer was still competing with three other albums: Apocalypse (Damares), Abençoado (Mara Lima) and Não Pare de Adorar (Shirley Carvalhaes). He was a candidate for councilor in Sorocaba (SP) in 2016, but lost the elections. Melk had been married for years to singer and songwriter Vanilda Bordieri, with whom he divorced in 2013. Together, they had a son. |

In addition to his work with the Magnificents, Charlie was often hired to back up larger national acts that performed in the area.
