Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 8 | Adventures In Paradise | Vocalist Susan Hamilton and keyboardist Francie Holdsworth-Hill first became friends during the time they were members of a band called Mantra. In 1982, the two started a duo of their own. After going through a long list of different band names, Adventures in Paradise turned out to be the one that finally took. In 1984, the duo released an independent debut single, "You'll Never Know." The group was working under the management of Doug Wong at the time. Soon Quality Records noticed the young band. The result was Adventures in Paradise's first full-length album It's Just a Matter of Time, released in 1985. For the team of friends, it wasn't a matter of time and the album turned out to be the last adventure for the duo of Hamilton and Holdsworth-Hill. This Calgary duo formed in 1982 while members of the band Mantra. After changing the name of their duo practically every week they finally decided on Adventures In Paradise at the suggestion of manager Doug Wong. They received a boost to their career when 'Music Express' magazine photographer Dee Lippingwell met up with Wong and soon returned to Toronto with the band's independent single "You'll Never Know". CFNY DJ and 'Music Express' columnist Liz Janik liked the record and aired it on her 'Independent Network' show which just happened to be caught by Quality Records A & R Rep Larry McCrae. Their debut album, 'It's Just a Matter of Time', was released on Quality in 1985 and received nominal airplay in the prairies. | |

Frontman-Shaman of the same Young Gods, Franz Treichler produces and mixes the duo's debut album. If a balearic sun rose in deep space, Sunisit would certainly be the soundtrack. In the early Eighties, Cesare invented techno-rock sampling with the Young Gods, where he played the funkier side of the dark splendor of the band. At the dawn of the Nineties, POL emerges from the swiss scene of electronic body music, dancing accompanied by pounding post-industrial apocalyptic visions. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | The Bisquits | The Biquits is a bulgarian dance band founded in 1995 by Sasho T., Sasho S. and Tisho. The original idea was about a remixers' team but soon it turned into an original project with the first single release "Ghaidi (Welcome To Bulgaria)". Its an original dance track featuring the sound of an authentical bulgarian music instrument big pipe. The result was unbelievable and the track became a summer hit in Bulgaria during 1996. The bulgarian national soccer team chose it as its official hymn for the Euro Games '96, the dutch company ToCo International signed it for distribution and the single was released in different compilations for 36 contries. The single was presented on popular radio shows for BBC and Billboard. The bulgarian traditional folklore voices and instruments like ghaida (big pipe), kaval and tambura, mixed with dance music, became a trade mark of the band and the following singles "Goro", "Horo", "Kaval", were sticked to this style. In 1998 the band changed a bit its members and turned the name into The Bisquits Project. With the new female dancer and singer Biliana (Bi) they started producing new singles like "The Return" following the current dream dance style at the end of the 90s. They had a lot of live and tv performances, also the singles got many airplays in radio and tv shows. After the release of their album "The Return" in 1998, the band took a pause and the lead producers started solo carrers releasing some singles under the alias Alex and Dj T60. In 2014, one of the main producers - Dj Tisho, decided to relive the project and make a comeback, changing its name again to The New Bisquits Project. He remixed the old 90's singles into a new updated versions and recorded some brand new songs like "Bela Beka", "White Rose" and "Pilence Pee", in the same formula of traditional bulgarian folk melodies mixed with house music. All new songs, mixes and original singles were released in the new album entitled "DG / BG" ("Digital / Bulgarian"). "Bela Beka" was chosen for the first single of the album, featuring the folklore singer Nikoleta. In 2016, the new project signed a contract with the german dance label Dmn Records for international releases and produced the maxi singles "Bela Beka" and "Mari Mariiko". | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Paul Sol | Gonzalo Hernán Salas Eguiguren | He was born in the city of Loja in 1942. He had a sad childhood because he lived in some orphanages. "I grew up in an orphanage in Quito, then I was transferred to Cuenca, and when I was a little boy they took me to Loja -according to the origin of their artistic name." It occurred to me to put Paúl Sol in thanks for my childhood in the orphanage. from the city of Cuenca Juan Vicente de Paul and sun for the God who accompanies me. " In his student life he began to triumph in intercollegiate competitions singing rancheras. In 1963 he left Loja and settled in Guayaquil, where he began to sing on radio stations until he won an amateur contest of the 'Saturdays of Atalaya' program. By then he had already made friends with the young artists: Pepe Parra from Los Cuervos, Marco Molina from Los Corverts, César Augusto Montalvo, Pepe Morey and others. And he sang the fashion themes of the Mexicans Enrique Guzmán, Alberto Vásquez, César Costa and the French Charles Aznavour. But he considers that his professional life began one night in 1965 at the Olmedo theater when he was invited to the Ernesto Albán Show, which had the brothers as special artists. Miño Naranjo, the trio Los Brillantes and other artists who did not arrive in time to the theater. It was when the animator Lucho Gálvez threw it into the arena and Paúl Sol sang his song Si se ver llorar and the audience applauded him in a rage. "This is how Paúl Sol was born in the Olmedo Theater and in the Ernesto Albán Show," he says, adding that he then began to write his tragic songs that were a success when they recorded. In 1966 and 1967 he won three gold albums. Two for the simple Burlado / El baladí and the third for: If they see you cry / The night. "To get the gold record, you had to sell 50,000 copies, the whole country had my record that sold like hot cakes," he recalls. He thinks he had the acceptance of people because he was an original artist who did not copy foreigners. The audience was ecstatic with their superdramatic performances. "I started singing the tragic songs and I was on the floor," he says excitedly, "but always according to the meaning of the lyrics. If he sang If they see you crying, it would end in a corner, with Burlado I would go to the floor and break my shirt. I always asked that the theater be in darkness, only with the light of a reflector and I would go onstage from the corregidor's hollow because the theater employees raised me from below. The people loved that. It began with El Baladí and ended with Burlado on the floor and with a torn shirt. People said: "Poor thing, look like he cries, and it was the reverendo heat, sometimes I cried because of the emotion of the audience that applauds you standing, that's the greatest thing for an artist." I'm more Guayaquil than lojano because Guayaquil gave me the triumph". In 1970 he recorded his only long play Paúl Sol, the tragic baladista with twelve songs. He stopped doing it when he found out that they would never give him royalties because, according to the contract with this label, he paid for his artistic promotion. From 1974, he became an artistic representative and brought Los Angeles Negros, El Greco, Palito Ortega, César Costa, Leo Dan, and from 1980 to 1989 he represented the Colombian Lisandro Meza in 140 presentations throughout the country |

| Search | Add | 8 | Glenn A. Payne | Founder of [l175905]. Co-founder of [l468257]. For copyrights and licenses: [l1659897] and [l1659896]. Glenn started his career in the summer of 1978 working for GTO Records, where his duties included regional radio promotion and liaising with BBC Radio 2. GTO's artist roster included Billy Ocean / Heatwave / Dana / New Musik, Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer, and The Dooleys. In the early 80's Glenn started his own independent promotion company working with Klub Records / Monarch Records and Strike Records - dealing with London and Regional Radio/TV. Artists included The Clydesiders, Rikki, and The Tigers. The company then expanded into a record label sigining a distribuition deal with Pinnacle Records - artists included Officers & Gentlemen, and all girl trio Brazil all enjoying turntable success and healthy record sales. In 1986 Glenn was asked to become A&R Director of dance label G&M Records and enjoyed chart success with The Village People / Fatback Band / Nini, and The Hard Hats. Glenn left G&M to start a career with Fanfare Records in the early 90's, when asked by Simon Cowell to start up an international department. Chart hits soon followed with Sinitta / Yell! / Kelly Marie and Mystic. Following Simon's move to Arista/BMG Glenn continued to work within the international arena securing licensing deals for heavy US rock giants Quiet Riot - striking deals for the album 'Terrified' in Scandinavia, Spain and Brasil. While also working with soul groovers The Cool Notes, their classic soul hits 'Spend the Night' and 'In Your Car' were remixed and licensed throughout Europe where they enjoyed chart success. Glenn also secured licensing deals for Kagagoogoo star Limahl in Germany / Austria / Switzerland / Spain and the Benelux. Success with Mystic included a No.1 hit in Spain with 'Ritmo de la Noche' enjoying a staggering 69 weeks in the top 30. After the huge success of 'Ritmo' the following years saw Mystic release the hit singles 'Yo Te Quieo', 'Everybody Salsa', 'La Ola', along with the albums 'Ritmo de la Noche' and 'La Ola' that kept Mystic at the forefront of the Spanish Latino House dance scene. Mystic recorded and released 'Spirit of Ibiza' - the song captured the essence of the hot summer days, along with the passion of the even hotter summer nights with the track reaching No.3 in the Spanish Charts, and top 10 of the Portuguese Charts. With the success of 'Spirit of Ibiza' Mystic recorded 'Viva El Verano' as the follow-up which continued their chart success reaching No.1 in Brasil. It was during this time that Glenn started working with Alberto and the hugely successful Matiz Music production team in Hamburg and they enjoyed international chart success with their projects including The Allniters 'The Story of My Life' - which hit the charts in France, Spain, and Greece. Also 'The Master' by The Master reached No.1 in Italy. It was during this period that Alberto first had the idea for Freud and together Alberto & Glenn went on to license Freud's brilliant debut album 'Time Passengers' all over the World including the US, UK, Germany, Benelux, Portugal and South East Asia. Then in 2002 Glenn was asked to join leading newage label New World Music, developing their Promotion and PR departments, as well as being a key member of their A&R team. After 4 and a half years with New World Music - Glenn and old friend Alberto [a455126] decided to develop [l468257] - and today Tantajo is one of the most respected chlllout labels around, with their artists Freud and Terra del Sol being at the sharp end of their genres. While Glenn also continues to establish [l175905] as a proactive and well respected label. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Tony Teebo | Arthur Antone Thiebaut Jr. | Tony Teebo (aka, Tony Thiebaut), by age 13, had taught himself to play drums & piano, while living on the family farm, near Fort Scott, KS. At 17, in 1962, he joined the United States Air Force, right after graduating from high school. He graduated at the top of his classes in training & became a Medical Service Specialist. In November, 1963, he was Honorably Discharged, with Service Medals, Citations & Diplomas. Upon his return to Kansas, he formed his first band, “The Aardvarks,” a regional favorite for about five years. In 1968, his second band, “The New Survivors,” recorded at Hi-Fidelity Studios in Wichita, KS, on the Kan Wic Label. The bands first record, “The Pickle Protest,” written by Tony, became a #1 regional hit, & was quickly, picked up by Scepter Records of New York, New York. The record was selected as a “Bill Gavin Personal Pick,” along with “Hey Jude.” This was a first for any band from Kansas. The band’s label mates, included, B. J. Thomas, Little Richard, Deep Purple, Dionne Warwick & The Shirelles. Unfortunately, the band’s five-record contract with Scepter was cancelled after their manager cashed a $150,000 advance check, & vanished! 1970 - 1972, Tony was elected by fellow music students, as Student Director of the Fort Scott Community College, Stage & Concert band’s, as well at the largest, College Marching Band in the United States. Tony led this band down the field, at the televised, National Junior College Football Championship…the Shrine Bowl, in Savannah, Georgia, December, 1971. FSCC won against Mesa, AZ! While attending FSCC, he formed, “Shootin’ Bluz,“ with first-chair horn players from the concert band. This was a 7 piece group, & performed with a “light show,” produced by Roger Aldis…“Rogers Rainbow.“ 1972, while attending Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, Tony auditioned & was given the position of lead singer with another horn band, “The Sensational Showmen.” This group performed a reunion concert, as a Humanities For The Arts, event in 2008, & were inducted into the Kansas Music Hall (2) Of Fame, in 2009. In the mid 70’s, he was signed as a solo, songwriter/recording artist with GRT/Catfish, Nashville. GRT released several singles, with the most successful being, “Rock & Roll Cowboy,” which topped Canadian Charts. Some label mates at GRT, included, Mickey Gilley, Jimmy Buffett, Van Morrison, Kool & The Gang, Steely Dan, & The Mamas & Papas. In 1975, Teebo was elected, under his legal name, as an ASCAP Songwriter, with ASCAP advancing him several, thousand dollars, to help his career. In January, 1981, Teebo’s recording of, “Welcome Home,” was played at the White House, in honor of the release of American Hostages, by the government of Iran. 1980’s: Tony was contracted to sing four-part-harmony on a Skeeter Davis, recording, & he recorded a set of songs with Janie Fricke singing his background tracks. He was also fortunate enough to record with the famous, Bobby Hardin Singers, & Hargus “Pig” Robbins on piano. Most of his recording was done at Producers Workshop, in Oklahoma City, with additional recording at Ojas, Studio 7, Benson Sound, Them Girls, & the Dick Wilkinson Studios, also in OKC. His “Kick-N-Lick” project, began at Ojas, continued at Billy’s Band Aid in Amarillo, & was mastered at the famous Bill Rase Studio, in Sacramento, CA. Tony also recorded at LSI & Woodland Studios in Nashville. In 1992, while living in Colorado Springs, CO, Tony wrote a performance review & interviewed The Marshal Tucker Band for Steppin‘ Out Magazine. The editor was impressed, & within a month, Tony had a ten-page, weekly section in Steppin’ Out, called Western World. Over the next several years, he reviewed many performers including, Billy Dean, Mark Chesnutt, Yakov Smirnoff, Wayne Newton, Toby Keith, Fess Parker, Johnny Paycheck, Chris Ledoux, Highway 101, Confederate Railroad, Waylon Jennings, Doug Stone, Glen Campbell, Ray Stevens, Andy Williams, Roy Clark, President & Mrs. Bush (Senior), Moe bandy, John Anderson, Johnny Cash, Jim Stafford & T.G. Sheppard, & penned dozens of informational articles dealing with a myriad of subjects. In 1997, Tony was contacted by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, & contracted as lead singer with the Show Band, “Northern Lights.” The band played the main showroom, “Anchors Aweigh,” to a full-house of 735 cruisers, six nights a week. Other performers included The Captain & Tennille, &The 5th Dimension. He rates this experience as a career highlight. His first, self-recorded CD, “Timeless,” was released in 2001. This CD collected many, positive newspaper reviews & continues selling today. In 2008, he won First Place at the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival, for his instrumental composition, “For The Fallen.” 2012 saw the release of his second, solo CD, “Small Consolation.,” another critically acclaimed project. Teebo’s first self-recorded, instrumental project, “Earth Touch,” was released in 2012. This project was created to draw further attention to the continued destruction of the worlds Rain Forests. His music has been used for nearly two decades, in the television series, “Pay Back,” in Spain, & his various recordings are currently being played in all European & Scandinavian Countries as well as The United Kingdom & New Zealand. Tony has written, produced & performed dozens of regional, national & international “jingles.” A few examples being, Sonic Drive Ins, Shell Oil Company, The Cox Cable Network, & The American Dental Assn. Tony’s compilation, music projects, that include Children’s & Educational Music, have sold in the millions. Tony is currently working on a Civil War Music Project, an American History Music Project, & a Children’s Book with accompanying music. Teebo has also worked in a dozen movies, television series & NBC World Movies. Tony is the owner of Jammer Moth Productions, a full-service production company. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Nitewreckage | CELINE HISPICHE (vocals) mixes bawdy music hall and ballsy punk rock in one explosive package. Born in Paris and raised on her parents’ record collections – an unlikely blend of punk rock and music hall - she began her career as a featured writer at London’s Royal Court Theatre, creating a unique act that combined music, history and comic monologues. She has also performed on Broadway and toured with cast members of Saturday Night Live. One of her oddest and most enjoyable assignments was to perform for the artist Louise Bourgeois at her New York salon. Back home in London, she has opened for Harry Hill and Marc Almond, performed at the Royal Festival Hall, and won rave reviews for her 2007 cabaret show at the Edinburgh Festival. DAVE BALL (programming) needs little introduction. He formed Soft Cell with Marc Almond in 1979, while they were studying art together at college in Leeds. Together they wrote and performed countless Eighties hits, starting with 1981 UK chart-topper Tainted Love. In the Nineties he notched up another run of hits as half of a second duo, The Grid, with Richard Norris. Dave has also produced and collaborated with artistes as diverse as Kylie Minogue, The Virgin Prunes, Earl Brutus and Billie Ray Martin, and remixed many more, including David Bowie, The Happy Mondays, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Boy George and The Pet Shop Boys. In addition, he has performed live with artistes such as Cabaret Voltaire, Psychic TV and krautrock pioneers Faust. RICK MULHALL (programming) started in the music industry in 1979 – the same year as Dave Ball – in the band English Evenings, before turning solo under the wing of Pete Waterman and his PWL team. In 1987 he formed Kick Production with Terry Neale, writing and producing for an array of artistes, ranging from Rolf Harris to Jeff Beck. He performed with the band Ultrasonic before forming his own label Dufflecoat Records. Rick began collaborating with Dave Ball on remixes two years ago under the Nitewreckers banner. He is currently working on a variety of music projects for the BBC and writing and producing for the Skull Bandits, as well as running the Richmond recording studios of Kick Production, where Celine & Nite Wreckage record. TERRY NEALE (drums) studied clarinet at the Welsh College of Music and Drama and performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, before studying composition and arranging at Leeds College of Music. Drums and percussion then became his main instrument as he began writing, recording and working as a session musician. After forming Kick Production with Rick Mulhall, Terry began a 20-year career composing music for film and television at their Soho studios. He has played live with Transglobal Underground and Temple of Sound, and currently combines writing for Lovelabltd.com, touring with the band Loungeclash and playing with Celine And Nite Wreckage. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Nick Bat | Stefan Timmermans | At the age of 15 I started writing some lyrics. The first one I wrote was No Future. That was 1981. From there on together with Danny Garmijn I started Dance Of Death. In 1982 Danny moved to another genre but his brother Franky entered the band. The name changed to Sisters Sex Haus. Mainly Franky and I were making music but at some point Glenn Rotsaert and Yves Beaumont joined the band. Glenn left after a year to play in other bands like Thin Line Men, Revenge 88 and Marky Ramone. Yves Beaumont moved further to become a painter. Around 1987 the band disolved into The Sons Of Eveline, again Franky and myself. 2 songs were recorded but the same year I jumped into a pop band together with my neighbour Nancy Zwaenepoel. But school, and joining the army resulted in stopping making music. It was in 1992 at work that I came across Guido Bos (ex Siglo XX). From there on we formed Wild Green Fiendy Liquid. But in 1996 it ended being both fed up with guitars. In 2000 when computers became more important into making music Guido and I formed Joy Luck Club. From pop to experimental to industrial to pure house and techno. What a ride it was. But in 2004 we stopped the band and were thinking of picking up the guitars again. 2005 until now we formed Under A Purple Sky. Resulting in pure Goth. In 2006 the first single Embrace resulted in a club hit and can still be heard on Goth radio Cathedral 13. Strobelight Records were promoting the genre and the New Dark Age compilations were a massive success in the genre. We were lucky to be on number 3. From there on the name became well known resulting on other compilations and even been seen in books. What a ride... |

| Search | Add | 8 | Борис Дейнека | Борис Степанович Дейнека <Boris Stepanovitch Deyneka> | Boris Deyneka (1902, Warsaw, Congress Kingdom of Poland — 1986, Moscow, USSR) was a Soviet opera bass, popular singer, the People's Artist of Komi ASSR, and the victim of political repressions. Residing in Moscow since his youth, Deyneka studied at GITIS and [l=Moscow Conservatory], and was exceedingly popular from the early 1930s to the Second World War outbreak. Boris frequented the most prestigious stages, like Stanislavski & Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre, and toured extensively with the leading Soviet ensembles, such as All-Union Radio Symphony Orchestra and Moscow Military District Song and Dance Ensemble. His rendition of Isaak Dunaevsky's 1936 megahit Wide is My Motherland ("Широка страна моя родная") would open the daily All-Union Radio morning broadcast across the entire USSR, solidifying Deyneka's nationwide acclaim as a household name. He released a handful of 78RPM singles on Aprelevskii Zavod and other gramophone labels. In 1942, Deyneka was arrested and prosecuted for "counter-revolutionary activities." The exact circumstances are still disputed today, and most sources typically cite an anonymous tip — allegedly, someone overheard Boris calling [a=Joseph Stalin] a "scumbag" in private conversations and notified the authorities. In 2008, a Soviet-Russian investigative journalist, Arkady Vaksberg (1927—2011), proposed an alternative story in the Bolshoi Theater of War documentary on TV 'Kultura' channel. He claimed Deyneka wasn't innocent per se and indeed planned to defect from the Soviet Union. Boris had an affluent "dacha" summerhouse (one of customary governmental perks for distinguished USSR artists) near Manikhino village, northwest of Moscow — right where the active WWII frontline was in December 1941. Thus, a few of Deyneka's fellow artists and dacha neighbors, including Vsevolod Blumenthal-Tamarin, Aleksander Volkov, and Ivan Zhadan, purposefully stayed in Manikhino to voluntarily surrender to retreating German troops and asked for political asylum abroad. Allegedly, Deyneka intended to follow the same "escape route," but military police stopped Boris outside of Moscow, in a cargo van loaded with all valuable belongings, including a pearl-white concert grand piano, and promptly arrested him for treason. In light of prior accomplishments, Deyneka had his death sentence commuted to a 10-year prison term with confiscation of all assets, and was transferred to Vorkuta labor camp in the Komi ASSR, an extremely remote coal-mining town just north of the Arctic Circle. In 1943, one of his fellow inmates, ex-[l=Bolshoi Theatre] stage director and [l=Moscow Conservatory] professor Boris Mordvinov (1899—1953), petitioned the prison administration and got a new "rehabilitation program" approved, an impromptu theatrical troupe; with dozens of talented Soviet artists imprisoned in WWII-era repressions, the so-called Barbwire Theater ("Театр за колючей проволокой") soon assembled quite an impressive cast. Deyneka participated in countless operas, operettas, variety shows, and educational concert-lectures staged at the Barbwire Theater. He appeared as Méphistophélès in Gounod's Faust, Basilio in Rossini's Barber of Seville, Prince Gremin in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto, and sang leading male characters in several operettas by [a=Emmerich Kálmán]. In late June 1945, Boris Deyneka even gave a solo recital in three acts. (After the fall of the Soviet Union, the "Barbwire Theater" company became the foundation for the present-day Vorkuta State Drama Theatre.) After his release in 1953, Deyneka settled in Syktyvkar, the Komi Republic's capital in northeast European Russia, with a far less extreme climate, over 900 kilometers (560 miles) south of Vorkuta. As the former political convict, Boris was bound by the infamous "101st kilometer" rule, prohibited from staying in a 100-km vicinity of any large city. In August 1958, he participated in the creation of Syktykvar municipal music theater; he also had a minor appearance on Komi: My Northern Hemisphere LP compilation. In 1962, after the notorious "political" Article 58 of the Soviet penal code was discontinued and all victims retroactively rehabilitated, 60-year-old Boris, who had already retired, finally came back to Moscow. |
