Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | rachid babaci | Rachid Babaci | Kabyle singer born on January 15, 1958 in Boghni (Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria). He started playing the guitar and singing at the age of 10, with an improvised instrument using a can and a wooden handle. Then, he hosted wedding parties, baptisms... It was at the age of 17 that he composed his first song entitled "rouhene oussane ilhane". In 1978, Rachid left for the army in Sidi bel Abbès, a national service during which he worked as a nurse. During the year 1980, he decided to record his first album in Algiers "Rouhen ouissen ilhane" before leaving for France where he found an international Divox publisher who would take care of everything, to release the album on vinyl and cassette tape. It was played quite often on channel 2 in Algeria and on radio waves in France. Galvanized by the good work done and the favorable response aroused by this album, Babaci decided in 1982 to produce a second album (a tribute to mothers) on Oasis Disc. In 1985, the artist did it again with a third album under the name "Tamurt-iw" on Editions Berberes and in 1987, he made his 4th album "Seg Mettawen-iw". His fifth album was released in 1989 "Afrux Idurarchez". In addition, in 1991, with his sister [a=Jedjiga], they made a video clip in Kabylia, under the direction of Ahcene Osmani and Djamel Bendeddouche and produced by Mustapha Aouchiche. The remarkable work was a resounding success inspiring even many other singers. In parallel, the singer Rachid Babaci put in 1994 on the market, his sixth album entitled "Athina Hajven Leswar" and continued with the shooting of the 2nd video tape in 1994 in Algeria. Since that date, Rachid Babaci has moved away from production, currently living in the north of France while keeping an eye on music and his native Kabylia. |

Search | Add | 8 | Fornicating Fog | An experimental project that explored darker areas of music, such as noise, doom metal and dark ambient. Fornicating Fog was formed in Blackpool, Lancashire (UK) in autumn 2006 and was initially a quartet consisting of The Urinating Goblin (aka Jamie Azzopardi), The Voyeuristic Wizard, The Heavy Breather of Heathrow and The Mooner of Romney Marsh. The quartet line up lasted until spring 2007 and produced three CDrs within this time. Following the disintegration of the original quartet, Azzopardi continued Fornicating Fog as a solo venture, producing tracks for compilations and split releases, before resting the project indefinitely after releasing a fourth CDr in summer 2010. | |

Search | Add | 8 | Vadim Pantin | Вадим Пантин | Vadim Pantin is a composer and multi instrumentalist. He was born on November 14, 1988 in Saint Petersburg (Russia). Vadim Pantin is the founder of several musical projects (Abjective, Amachi, DomainMeta, Sejectiøn), the sound-designer, the producer and the co-owner of the British label [l=Eonian Autumn Records]. His mother had got choreographic education and his father was a drummer. Vadim has a elder brother Eugene Pantin, with whom he created musical project Abjective. When Vadim was seven years old, when the family moved to the south of Russia, where Vadim went and graduated from high school. In spite of the musical family in childhood Vadim studied sculpture and graduated from art school, and studied design at the University. In adolescence sculpture passion transformed into a sound research. He started looking for guitar chords borrowed from friend and learned the musical software like Cubase. Pantin wrote his first compositions when he was sixteen years old and was encouraged to develop his natural talents. During this period he like any teenager was looking for himself, his life of use, and the search led him to a life in a monastery, where he spent six months. This period gave aspiring musician faith in their own strength, the ascetic monastic routine helped to temper the character. During obedience Vadim sang in the choir. However, it was only a period, and the walls of religion are not sufficient for artist with a broad vision, so six months later he returned to the familiar life and moved to his hometown of St. Petersburg. Here in cultural capital of Russia he started to collaborate with different artists, made projects with creative association Outsiders Club, joined to St. Petersburg Orchestra of improvisation for some concerts, composed music for music for photo exibitions, short films, video games and other projects. For now arsenal of tools expanded to Logic Pro, Adobe Audition, Pro tools, Ableton live. Vadim Pantin plays a few musical instruments, uses unique devices what were made by his friend special for and sings on texts written by his wife. He collaborates with various musicians from such labels as Acre Recordings (UK), tonAtom (GE), Eonian Autumn Records (UK), Tympanik Audio (USA) and others. His career includes a wide range of composition genres for various tasks, making him a versatile, prolific musician. His music has no bounds. |

Search | Add | 8 | Zlamal Sisters | Lilian & Manon, The Zlamal Sisters, are two dynamic multitalented musicians, daughters of renowned Slovak poet and writer Miloslav Zlamal (The Partisan Captain) and Jaroslava Zlamal who have been captivating audiences with their golden voices for years. Their unique vocal blends mesmerize their listeners while their compositions touch their hearts. As young teenagers Lilian & Manon toured with "The International Stars of Europe" in Canada who referred to the sisters as the ABBA girls. They recorded in Warsaw Poland with Anna Jantar opening the Polskie Nagrania Studio Muzak Records under the direction of Jan Kukulski. Their Polish musical peers were very enthusiastic and wanted the girls to represent Canada at "The International SOPOT Festival", but that never materialized. Another recording highlight was recording in Hendersonville Nashville Tennessee at The Oak Ridge Brothers Studio backed by Ronnie Milsap’s Band. Lilian & Manon went on and became the lead singers of "Skyliner" who recorded on the Mercey Brothers Label and attained a top 30 single on the Canadian Country RPM Charts. Skyliner headlined in many of the "Top Clubs" on the circuit, touring forty-nine nights straight with weekend matinees and after hour club appearances at the "Matador" before having one night off and starting back again. Skyliner was one of the featured country bands to perform on the last day of live country shows at "The Horseshoe Tavern" in Toronto. They performed extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. Highlights include guest spotting with "The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra", appearing on many radio and T.V. shows, regular appearances on the weekly CFGM Opry North Shows, Toronto Press Club events, United Nations celebrations, CBC radio shows with Milan Kymlicka, their own "Special" on City TV, CNE Bandshell, sharing the stage or performing along side many stars as Lucille Starr, Alan Thicke, Ian Tyson, Ronnie Hawkins, Carroll Baker, Anne Murray, Frank Mills, The Mercey Brothers, Stompin Tom, Gary Lalonde, Kelly Preston to name a few. Lilian and Manon also embarked on solo careers. Lilian, an Actra member, became part of the "Backstage Productions" roster-Ronnie Hawkins Management in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s under Steve Thomson and became know as Lil in the highly acclaimed CBS recording children’s rock n’roll "But, I’m Just A Kid" group who were Juno nominees.
