Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | A Mastermind Without Brain | "A Mastermind Without Brain" is a Post-Hardcore (and/or Alternative Rock on some albums) band founded in May 2009 on Marlborough, New Zealand. Their first work was a demo released at the end of 2009 called "Hard Massacre EP" but it was not until September 2010 where they finally released their first studio album: "Ready For This Relationship" and in that year they created the independent label: Hard Riot Records. In the following years, the band concentrated on perfecting their sound with each album and improving little by little. Their latest album so far is "More Pain for Me... or Maybe For You" released in July 2019, although the band has said that they are still working and creating several songs for the next album.

Search | Add | 2 | Bernal Díaz Del Castillo | (c. 1496 – January 11, 1584) A Spanish conquistador, who participated as a soldier in the conquest of Mexico under Hernán Cortés and late in his life wrote an account of the events. As an experienced soldier of fortune, he had already participated in expeditions to Tierra Firme, Cuba, and to Yucatán before joining Cortés. In his later years he was an encomendero and governor in Guatemala where he wrote his memoirs called The True History of the Conquest of New Spain. He began his account of the conquest almost thirty years after the events and later revised and expanded it in response to the biography published by Cortes’ chaplain Francisco López de Gómara, which he considered to be largely inaccurate in that it did not give due recognition to the efforts and sacrifices of others in the Spanish expedition.

Search | Add | 2 | Missy Alcazar | Filipina-American singer-songwriter, Missy Alcazar is a true renaissance woman with an acclaimed nomination for Best Singer Songwriter at the 2019 San Diego Music Awards. Her music has had sync placements on TV shows such as 90 Day Fiancé. Being a dueling pianist has given her the knack of vocal versatility and extensive pianistic style. You can hear her dynamic range in her last couple albums, sweeping from sweet and angelic harmonies to growling and gritty blues with notes of soul. Her first full length album debut was released Nov 1, 2022 and was completely funded by her Twitch community. This album is dedicated to the "Project Semicolon," non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope to those who are struggling with mental health, suicide, self-injury, and addiction. Her first EP album titled "Come Love Me" was released in Feb 2018, which nominated her for best singer-songwriter at SDMA. In 2019 she released her 2nd EP Album titled "Goodbye" dedicated to the struggles of grief losing her mother to cancer. She's a multi-instrumentalist and was the first resident female dueling pianist at Disneyland's "The Showdown At The Golden Horseshoe." You can catch her live guest starring at dueling piano bars all over the United States and in Quebec, Canada. You can catch her streaming live on Twitch 5 days a week.

Search | Add | 2 | Ron's Neighbours | Formed during the mid-80s in the downbeat town of Walsall, their music a blend of disparate influences from 50s crooners, blues and reggae to Killing Joke and The Bunnymen; Ron’s Neighbours were out of step with the perfect pop of the C86 indie generation. Their only single - “To The Fight” – a split 7” was supported by the Trade Union Resource Centre, while many gigs were benefits for striking miners, leading to a loyal local following. Engineered by Ozzy Osbourne’s brother Tony, tracks were recorded at an 8 track bedroom / home studio, while a terraced house served as rehearsal space. When a tape recorder was left running it captured the long-suffering neighbour for posterity. His outburst gave the band and song, its name. Here Ron Next Door was born. The song was finally released almost 30 years after recording in Original, Alternative and Dub mixes across 7" and compilation LP.

Search | Add | 2 | Spencer Wayne | Spencer Wayne | I'm like that one John "Don't Call Me Cougar" Mellencamp song about small towns and chilli dogs or whatever. I'm a fashion and style expert. I run a blog about dogs wearing sweaters. I'm a musician, magician and amateur speed swimmer. I keep it 100 on all fronts. My story really starts off in a town called Cumberland, Maryland where I was raised by my father Wayne Wayne and mother PerStephanie Ann Tater. They never got married on account of my father being a Free Inhabitant and my mother always wanting a fancy courthouse wedding. They just couldn't see eye to eye. Music came to me at an early age and I started my first band in 1994 at the tender age of 15. I was just a young buck trying to make my way in the world but I got caught up in the evils and illz of that rap game. That paper chase can ruin lives y'all. Unity. I currently live in Southern California with my wife Pearl and our seven chihuahuas named after the cast of "Living Single" When I'm not rewriting hardcore anthems I like to garden and make fun of people who eat well and have more money than me. |

Dr. Sócrates is a Dj and have a Dr. in addition. Author and writer based in Berlin Dr.Sócrates has been djing for many years in the underground scene. His mix of Afrobeat, Cumbia, Latin, Reggae, Black Music and much more is the result of a tireless and thorough search for the Beats and Artists that not belong to the music main stream business. Dr.Sócrates spins always a lot of surprises with music that you really want to listen but you do not know how. The Story Going down to the basement it was noise, the feeling of sweat and hardly some light. Bodies and music, very loud music. I was upstairs, sitting by candlelight, the doorman. Sometime before a Brazilian guy did the job, somebody told me, but I didn’t care. It was in the legendary Freitagsbar in the district of Mitte, later on one of the many victims of the unstoppable gentrification that Berlin has experienced since the turn of the century. Before that, in another of those illegal bars that opened on different days of the week in many of the districts of the city centre, some Donnerstagsbar in Prenzlauer-Berg, my career as dj began together with other 3 enthusiasts. Mixing global beats, reggae and a friend doing the MC’s job. It was fun and a lot of partying. Djing till late and working early in the morning. The Kaffee Burger was also on the list. But, somehow, it didn’t last.... continue here... https://www.tropicaldiasporarecords.com/tdr-folium/dr-socrates/ |

Search | Add | 2 | Willison Roos | Boise, Idaho Willison Roos has bounded onto the Boise music scene providing a “no rough edges” sound, blending rich vocals with an acoustic folk-rock backdrop. The smooth harmonies and rhythmic acoustic instrumentation make for an unforgettable sound. Their first collaborative album, titled “All These Years,” released in Fall 2012, unveils their songwriting talents and features the soulful vocal harmonies of the duo. Lyrically, Willison reveals an honest and reflective view of life’s journeys. Sunset honors moments when all is right, “In the quiet of the day, as the sun slips away I know that you’re mine.” The captivating and compelling Hear the Whisper expresses the innermost desires to reach beyond what is comfortable and “go outside to what is unknown.” Roos delivers an Americana feel and his Something in the Wind, written about the Idaho wind, conveys a foreboding warning and premonition, “The wind it blows right through me, I cannot turn away, and something tells me that I’d better listen.” His ode to love gone bad, Breaks My Heart, speaks of a longing “like a magnet, water to my thirst, a soothing to my soul…” Song for Reginaldo, a tribute to an elder that Willison met while touring Guatemala, urges the world to be “demanding that the earth breathes as one.” This collection also contains the duo’s first collaborative writing projects, Flywheel and Something Beautiful. In 2004, Jenny Willison was coaxed onto the stage by Grammy award winner and Boise native, Randy Coryell, and by 2008 had completed her debut CD in First Step. Chicago’s Relevant Radio described Willison’s sound as “Indigo Girls, with a touch of Emmy Lou Harris and a dash of Gillian Welch meets Shawn Colvin.” Matt Roos, an established Idaho musician who authored amongst other songs the state’s centennial song, Celebrate Idaho has perfected the duo’s harmonizing vocals. Roos’ roots in folk rock and jazz and Willison’s Sheryl Crow-like sound create a captivating chemistry. Willison Roos is part of the Boise night scene but also contribute regularly to one of the area’s largest contemporary worship services on Sundays at the Cathedral of the Rockies, making them appealing to varied audiences. Band members include one of the Northwest’s finest fiddle players, Charlie Burry, Marc Herring (bass), Tony Songer and Scott Learned (drums).

Search | Add | 2 | The Deadsilence Syndicate Band | In The Beginning Two punks, Three dj's and a laid back bass scientist meander through the 1990's ears open to the ever changing audio that fills their soul spoilt city. Confused by genres, pigeon holes and evolving formats they seek more than the local sound system or night clubs can offer them. "It's not as good as a gig though mate" the scruffy punk explains to a dedicated dj one morning after a night of debauchery. "Ok, maybe" agrees the dj. "But who wants to listen to a fucking lead guitarist when their out on a Saturday night". "It doesn't have to be that way though". The scruffy punk argues. "I'm selling my drum kit, check this out" he reaches for a crumpled copy of Future Music magazine, scrambles through the pages and finally arrives at his destination. "Look, a real midi drum kit, one that finally works. As soon as I can sell them old pots and pans, I'm getting it. I'm gonna make drum'n'bass, real drum'n'bass, with real people and real instruments". And so he did. Times changed, things rearranged, technology grew and our young punks craved. One dj who secretly played the cello, discarded his antique for a new electronic one, our bass scientist keenly awaited the first midi bass guitar. I quote, "That really fucking works." Punk number two quickly invested in an electronic percussion device. Our dedicated dj brought along some powerful synthesizers and it wasn't long before they bumped into a suitable rapper spending his afternoons gibbering on street corners for shirt buttons. It was done. The whole band was electronic. Not a hint of traditional band stuff in sight. Intrigued? I hope so! The DSS Band are indeed a heavy-duty proposition, taking the gnarlier end of drum + bass, throwing in a smidgeon of electro, some cello, then adding furiously spat lyrics, the end result is a D&B / punk fuelled demolition derby, not for the faint hearted.

Search | Add | 2 | Q-Sign | Athens, GA Q-Sign was formed by American Chris McKay and Irishman Tom O'Gorman on the banks of the Oconee River in Athens, Georgia in March of 1995. Soon after, the duo had added Andy Ainsworth on lead guitar to the permanent lineup and had begun work on the songs that would be included on Earth Loop And Goodness. In fact, "Stay Away", "Pepper" and "Twist" were put together within the first 24 hours that O'Gorman and McKay were writing together and the majority of the album's songs were written within the first 2 weeks. Brian Pridemore and Ken Slotkowski were the original rhythm section. Eventually, Michael Rietveld took over on drums from Brian and first Dave Chalfant, then Christine Reynolds played bass. Q-Sign played regionally for a couple of years and earned the distinction of being named one of Musician Magazine's Best Unsigned Bands In America before founder Tom O'Gorman moved overseas. The band's last live performance was on July 4, 1998 in front of 55,000 people in Atlanta, Georgia during the Peachtree Road Race and Q-Sign was seen on nearly all TV news coverage.

Search | Add | 2 | Blankface. | Chapel Hill, NC, 1997. A young, energetic band called Blankface emerged from a scene that had become synonymous with the term “indie rock,” giving it a much needed punch to the gut. Playing a mix of melodic punk and emo akin to older Saves the Day, Jimmy Eat World, or Samiam, the short-lived group only managed one short tour up the East Coast, but they were a staple in North Carolina and Virginia music circles. They played often, packing DIY spaces and mainstream rock clubs from Winston Salem to Richmond and, by the time they called it quits in 1999, had amassed such a following that they sold out the renowned Cat’s Cradle for their final show, a feat not many bands can claim even today. Their one and only full-length, “A Better Day,” is a time capsule full of roaring guitars, earnest vocals, and youthful exuberance – a document to everything that made them not just Chapel Hill’s, but one of the Southeast’s best kept secrets. Members went on to play with such well-known bands as Classic Case, He is Legend, and Milemarker.

WARNING: Has been detained for the capability of violent and deadly purposes. This particular instrument was forged in S.F., California on August 30, 1970, and spent its next few years in Seattle, WA and Erie, PA. In the woods of New Jersey,MACHET-T was tested by the cold weather, dense woods and hard water. These and other strenuous conditions may have caused some nicks and scratches, but no rust whatsoever. This northern tenure lasted 8 years until the migration south in '84. MACHET-T has been in (S.E. + S.W.A.T.S) Atlanta and Decatur, GA chopping out trails of omniversal consciousness for a decade and a half. Marked by hard-core sounds of all types, mostly Roots Rockers Rasta Reggae vibrations/dub poets such as Linton Kwesi Johnson, Mutabaruka, Oku Onuaru, Benjamin Zephania etc., Conscious Roughneck Hip Hop like KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, Poor Righteous Teachers, Shinehead, Asher D and Daddy Freddy, Mad Lion, Eric B and Rahkim, Ice T, etc., MACHET-T was branded with and aimed towards progress. This lyrical instrument was a featured artist with the group HIT EM QUICK AND HARD POSSE from '93-'95 and appears on the EP's RUFFNECK COME and PASS THE BLUNTS, in addition to the compilation album,HISTORY OF ATLANTA REGGAE VOLUME I on TechSound Records. MACHET-T signed an exclusive artist agreement with the Mindstate Entertainment record label in July of 1997 that lasted until the advent of 2000. This artist and BMI affiliated writer has a 12" single entitled OUT THE SHEATH featuring the songs HIP HOP SOUL with singer GINGER and lyricist JSIII, and QUEEN with singer/producer ROC and JSIII. This single was in regular rotation on WRFG 89.3 FM in Atlanta and was just the first cut off the 15 track album/compact disc DUAL EDGE BLADE officially released February 29, 2000. Hacking away at downpressors for many years now, the dual edge sounds of MACHET-T have been deeply penetrating straight to the heart of matters with roughly smooth vocals. MACHET-T has been tempered to keep us focused on the point! Band Members: Trevor Lawson known as Machet-T |
