Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | ידין טננבוים | ידין טננבוים | Yadin, son of Rivka (Solomon) and Zvi Tenenbaum, seventh generation in Israel, was born and raised in Israel. At age 11 he began studying flute with Dr. Uri Teplitz, principal flutist of the Israel Philharmonic. Yadin was a recipient of scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and prizes from the Israel Conservatory of Music. Upon his enlistment, Yadin was offered a position in the IDF Orchestra, but chose combat duty instead. On the eve of October 7, 1973, Yadin was stationed near the Suez Canal as a tank gunner. He fell in action at the age of 19, in battle against Egyptian tanks which crossed the canal. Fighting from a tank stuck in the mud with its chains severed, the crew had managed to demolish an Egyptian tank and a bulldozer, and then suffered a direct hit from enemy fire. For his outstanding courage, he was decorated posthumously with the Exemplary Conduct Medal. Yadin, who initially had been announced missing in action, was brought to burial in October 1974. Despite his young age, Yadin left a considerable musical bequest of recordings, including solo and ensemble performances of classical works and more recent music, originally compiled in a recording produced by Hed Artzi in 1975 and released on CD in 2013. The composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, upon hearing Yadin's biography, wrote the nocturne "Halil" in his memory for solo flute and orchestra featuring strings, percussion, piccolo and alto flute. Since its premiere, in Tel Aviv in May 1981 by the Israel Philharmonic under Bernstein's direction with soloist Jean-Pierre Rampal, the work has been performed by prestigious orchestras and soloists throughout the world. In 2008, in honor of Bernstein's 90th birthday and 50 years of his direction of the New York Philharmonic, it was performed by the Israel Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel with Eyal Ein-Habar as soloist in Tel Aviv, New York, and additional cities in the US. On the occasion of the world-wide celebration of the 100th birthday of Leonard Bernstein "Halil" was played in Boston, New York, Mexico, San Paolo, London, Edinburgh, Seville, Hiroshima and Tokyo to name only few. Israel Prize honoree Batia Lichansky created the sculpture "Flutist" in memory of Yadin and in his image. Yadin's memory is also commemorated at the Israel Museum and Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, and at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv. Note: background was given to me to be published here, by Ella Koren from www.yadin1973.org.il. |

Joe Killaz released its debut album in 2002, changing the name to [a=The Killaz] after [l=Hasbro]'s "cease & desist" notice. It was a conceptual project depicting "Cobra Collective," a fictional terrorist group from the '80s animated TV series G.I. Joe as a rap trio: featuring Jirku as DJ Cobra Commander, MC Destro and the Baroness. The group debuted in October 2001 with [r=1424338] EP on the Canadian net-label [l=No Type] (which also released most of Jirku's early solo productions). The following year, the trio produced its self-titled album, [r=2215996] CD, published via "Cobra Records" private imprint, manufactured and distributed by a prominent Canadian independent label [l=Alien8 Recordings]. The record featured skillful Tomas Jirku's instrumental productions and copiously sampled the original "G.I. Joe" TV show.

| Search | Add | 2 | Chief Lelooska | Don Lelooska Smith | Lelooska was given his name at age 12 when he was adopted by the Nez Perce. It means “He Who Cuts Against Wood with a Knife” and has become a treasured family name symbolic of their work. Named Gixken, “Chief of Chiefs”, an old title, by the Kwakwaka’wakw (Kwakiutl), Lelooska is the first child of Shona-Hah and was leader of the family. Lelooska and his family were formally adopted into the House of Sewide of the Mamaleleqala and Qwiqwasutnox bands of the Kwakwaka’wakw by Chief James Aul Sewide. With this adoption the hereditary rights, crests and privileges of the Sewide lineage were bestowed on Lelooska and his family. “I am the most fortunate of the children,” he said, “for I was the one best acquainted with our grandfather—a touchstone of the history and traditions of our people.” During the years of his childhood, Lelooska and his grandfather He-Killer were inseparable companions. The memory of the hours they spent carving and talking together were very precious to Lelooska. He-Killer was a man who went forward to meet life. Retaining at all times great pride in his Indian heritage, he served, as a young man, with Troop A of the Fifth Cavalry and later worked with Buffalo Bill Cody. Although Lelooska was of Cherokee descent, he transcended the normal confines of any single tribe. His life was devoted to the quest for knowledge, which made him an authority on the Indians of North America. Of particular interest to him were “The Cedar and Salmon People”—the tribes of the northwest coast. He made preserving their arts his life work. Lelooska spoke Chinook Jargon, the trade language of the coast, and was a student of the Kwakwaka’wakw (Kwakiutl) language. He was also conversant in half a dozen Indian dialects. His study of languages gave him insight into the traditional mind and enabled him to communicate freely with the Old People. “They are the books, the libraries, of Indian culture,” Lelooska said. He devoted a great deal of time to research for the educational programs, and he also experimented from research to develop techniques for the family’s artwork. These techniques were then refined and modified by family members for their own use. “Experimentation is part of our own ongoing education,” he explained. Lelooska’s work is highly prized by collectors. He was primarily a wood sculptor, well known for his versatility. His pieces range is size from those that can be held in the palm of the hand to huge totem poles. Opening masks, carved panels, feast bowls, rattles and animal sculpture are a few examples of the types of carvings which he enjoyed making. A man of commanding presence and a scholar, Lelooska had great charm and was extremely witty, all of which made him a favorite with people of all age groups and backgrounds. Of the family’s work and lifestyle, Chief Lelooska said, “Our grandfather advised us to take the best of both worlds–the Indian’s and the non-Indian’s–and combine them so that they would complement and enrich each other. This we have done, but, always, our Indianness is the focus of our lives. “There is much we must do. Before the coming of the white man, the Northwest Coast Peoples had a highly developed and complex culture. All facets of it were expressed in their art forms. But when their way of life was disrupted, so much of the art was lost and destroyed that all of it may never be recovered. “I plan to spend the rest of my life helping save what I can. But even if I live to be a hundred, I will only scratch the surface of what needs to be done.” Chief Lelooska passed away in September of 1996. The chieftancy was passed to his brother, Tsungani. His legacy of educational programs continues to this day at the Lelooska Cultural Center, where young and old come to learn from the living history programs, museum collection and other activities. |

Not limiting himself to just one or two styles, Elekid's wide variety and unique approach to mixing is what makes his sets memorable and loved by many. His methods of engineering sets and being able to execute with extraordinary accuracy is what has made him a sought after DJ. Elekid's breakout from the Midwest happened in 2002, and he hasn't looked back since. Playing from coast to coast, in almost every major city, and on many radio shows and podcasts, Elekid has left crowds demanding more. In 2004, Elekid started his "Summer Vacation" series, showcasing all that he's capable of, with each one being unique, themed, and entertaining from start to finish. Every year brings a new and different Summer Vacation. One year might be Frenchcore, another Happy Hardcore, or Jumpstyle, another Breaks. These mixes are a part of a vast collection of mix compilations Elekid has released since 1997, which can all be downloaded from his Soundcloud. In 2005, Elekid took it to the next level and began producing, starting with Hard House. In the years since, Elekid has had several releases and remixes, most notably, "Tekno Drugs", on several different labels. More recently, he has been a heavy backer for Frenchcore in America, and has been pushing the Frenchcore sound. If it's hard, it's Elekid. |

We paid for their EP & tour merch and they set off on the road. Upon their return they wrote an album, went to Finland to record it & then split up. We never saw a penny from any sales of the EP or the T Shirts we had printed for them - £1200 wasted that could've been put to good use on a band who actually gave a shit!"

Geirmundur stofnaði síðan eigin hljómsveit 1971, Hljómsveit Geirmundar Valtýssonar, sem hann hefur starfrækt og verið hljómsveitarstjóri fyrir allar götur síðan. Hljómsveitin lék fyrst mikið á sveitaböllum á Norðurlandi og Austurlandi. Árið 1972 söng Geirmundur eigin lög inn á tvær tveggja laga plötur sem Tónaútgáfan á Akureyri gaf út. Á þessum plötum voru lögin Bíddu við, og Nú er ég léttur, en hljómsveitin Trúbrot annaðist undirleik: „Þessi lög slógu svo rækilega í gegn að hljómsveitin fór að spila um allt land. Þá varð ekki aftur snúið. Við höfðum þá meira en nóg að gera, hvort heldur sem var á sveitaböllum, í Reykjavík eða á öðrum þéttbýlisstöðum.“ Hljómsveit Geirmundar hefur síðan leikið fyrir dansi og er enn að. Þá hefur hljómsveitin leikið á Kringlukránni frá 2003. |

| Search | Add | 2 | The EZPowell Band | Gavin Powell - I play everything for now but I intend to just sing it eventually. I would much rather work with a full band. Writing is my current priority. Anyone interested in jamming and/or joining in - just contact me but I am not in any hurry. Gavin's band is called "The EZPowell Band", or just "EZPowell". After a 20 year hiatus in writing songs, Gavin has gone back to his musical roots. The music is a blend of American soft rock, British rock, slightly bluesy, and maybe just a little bit jazzy, with some African rhythms thrown in. A consultant, a technical writer, an experimental novelist, gardener, house doer-upper, and sometimes black-'n'wrecker house-mucker-upper. But mostly a semi-professional musician with almost 30 years of experience of songwriting and playing instruments. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Dead Telluriders | Aaron Sheley | Aaron Sheley, co-writer and star of the acclaimed OEDIPUS MARSHAL, former writer for L.A. magazine ENTERTAINMENT TODAY, director of a 30 hour movie with hundreds of live rock performances, and the author of a few successful internet blogs, like the WEB-O-VERSE, was writing his daily poetry on regular schedule. A certain chance of events lead up to his meeting with Olaf the Recording Artist, that together recorded an all original, debut music album HAPPY ACCIDENTS by THE DEAD TELLURIDERS. While above are listed as his achievements, let it be known that it was never easy for Aaron. In 2002, he was diagnosed as bipolar, and eventually realized he was part schizophrenic, as well. So, after years of ups and downs and treatments, Aaron finally got such a hold on his illness, that he was able to join with NAMI and SUICIDE PREVENTION, to speak at events and therapeutically engage his peers. This music is a reflection of his joys and sorrows, his failures and successes. The stories of love gained and love lost are universally shared in music, and Aaron is so happy to present this art work, which fits right into his stream of conscious, avant-garde, artistic writing. |
