Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 19 | Ibro Mangafić | Ibrahim Mangafić | He was born on October 13, 1951. in Sarajevo and from an early age he was involved in music. He died on May 5, 2023 in his home. As a thirteen-year-old, he started playing the giatra more seriously, and at the age of fifteen he had his own band "Plavi Dijamant". After the breakup of this group, in November 1967, Ibro complets the orchestra, in which he was joined by Ljubo Kešelj (accordionist), Čurkan Durić (drummer) and Paša Bikić (singer). At one time, they performed in restaurants all over Yugoslavia at the time, and mostly in Sarajevo. After completing his military service in 1973, he entered the world of music, entertainment and composing in a more serious and engaged way. That's when the lyrics for his first song "Ti kraljice moga srca" were written, sung by Nedžad Imamović, accompanied by the RTV Sarajevo orchestra. His professional music career had a continuous upward trend. Since 1973, he has composed over 700 songs (LP-records, music cassettes, compact discs and DVD albums) for various record companies. Many of his compositions are considered pearls of folk music and an immeasurable wealth of folk melodrama, such as: "Ti si ta", "Sa, sa Sarajevo", "Kani suzo izdajice", "Poslejnji put veceras", "Dijana ljubavi", "Kad raskopčam jeleče", "Otiso si Dragane", "Tvoje oci plave", "Izadji mala, "Garavuso moja mala", "Prosjak ili car", "Kad bi zivot moj sto godina bio" and lots more. As a composer, he collaborated with the best orchestras from ex-Yugoslavia, such as: the orchestra of Branimir Đokić, Dragan Aleksandrić, Ljuba Kešelj, Dragan Stojković Bosanc, Miroljub Aranđelović Kemiš, Omer Pobrić, Dulet Jovanović, Bora Višnjički, Mića Radovanović. In the course of his long career, he also left a noticeable mark as a member of many organizations and associations, whose goal was the improvement of musical culture and creativity, including the protection of intellectual property and copyright. He is the owner of dozens of gold, platinum and diamond records, as well as Disko-olympus, which he received in 1983 as Diskoton's highest recognition for the highest circulation achieved in that year, over 500,000 copies. |

| Search | Add | 19 | The Sons Of The Purple Sage | The Sons Of The Purple Sage was a Southern California western/cowboy act which had several line-ups with a convoluted murky history. The earliest version of the group came about when Buck Page, who had used the name "Riders Of The Purple Sage" for his own band a decade earlier while playing on the East Coast let Foy Willing use that name for his band (which he did till he passed away in 1978). Page gravitated towards Los Angeles to work in the TV and film industries, and renamed his group "The Sons Of The Purple Sage". It seems like the Sons band worked exclusively for budget-labels who used the band's name to record a number of albums, either because they won it through a business contract and played on the same, or because no one was able to enforce the ownership of the name. There were about a half-dozen albums on labels such as Golden Tone, Tops and Somerset, all released under the Sons Of The Purple Sage, with musicians such as Tex Fletcher and Bob Wheeler, as well cowgirl singer Linna Shane.. | Search | Add | 19 | Mammoth Gavioli Fair Organ | The "Mammoth" Gavioli 112-keyless Fair Organ (conv. to 98-key ca.1917–18), GV26, also known as "White Bros." Gavioli was built in 1903 by the renowned French manufacturer Gavioli et Cie — the eighth of nine models supplied by the firm to England in the early 20th century, and, reportedly, the largest-ever built by Gavioli. It was ordered by a Welsh fairground proprietor Sydney White from Cardiff. The manufacturing date was given in "A Century of Tobers" (Vol 1, No. 2, January 1978) newsletter by The Fairground Association of Great Britain (FAGB). However, the organ is typically described as the "1909 model," referring to the purchase date in the UK; the newly acquired "Mammoth" was freighted by the railroad in December 1908 from London to Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, where it debuted for the Christmas season at the Iron Bridge Merthyr showground. The mechanical organs became popular among British fairground proprietors in the mid-19th century (for the sake of convenience, at first, as it was a versatile "all-in-one" device to cover musical needs for any fair or traveling show). Around 1901, as the groundbreaking Electric Bioscope Cinematograph Moving Picture Show first came to England, the competition instantly became fierce, with the leading showrunners striving to capture the audience's attention with the largest, brightest, and loudest possible presentation of the licensed spectacle: Alfred Ball with "Lyceum Theatre of Pictures and Variety," James Crighton's "No 2. Bioscope," John Proctor with "Royal Bioscope," Henry Studt's "Coliseum Bioscope," William Haggar's "Electric Coliseum," as well as J. Wingate & Sons, James Dooner, William Murphy, and Mammy Paine, to name a few. Massive, ornate organs with dancing and moving figures both provided the soundtrack for silent film projections and served as the show's eye-catching façade. At the time, Gavioli & Co., officially Société Des Anciens Établissements Gavioli, was the world's leading fairground organ manufacturer. The French company had offices in London and Manchester, happy to fulfill the orders for their exorbitantly expensive, lavishly decorated 110-key and 112-keyless mechanical organs. Sydney White, who launched his "Coliseum Bioscope" show in 1908, scored the largest and finest build. The instrument's subsequent fate was indicative of other "mammoth" Gaviolis in the UK. Rapidly spreading movie theaters soon made traveling cinema spectacles obsolete, and most owners repurposed their massive organs to "Scenic Railways" (one of the most popular fads of the 1910s), roller coasters, steam-powered carousels, and gallopers; some were mounted on wheeled carriages and steam engines. Often, the organs were reduced and converted to a more compact 98-key or 89-key function in the process. Likewise, Sydney White's 112-keyless "Mammoth" was inherited by his sons and reduced to 98-key as it became the centerpiece of the Welsh Dragons Scenic Railway. White Brothers continued to use Mammoth Gavioli across various South Wales fairs until 1930, when it was permanently installed at the Cosy Corner Amusement Park on Barry Island, Glamorgan. The park was closed in 1939, during the Second World War, but was never reopened and, effectively, left abandoned. (Unfortunately, some of the Gavioli organs were lost at this point; unless local enthusiasts and collectors identified and rescued these priceless artifacts, they ended up decaying with the rest of the old equipment at abandoned amusement parks and fairgrounds.) Luckily, the White Bros. Mammoth survived. In 1954, the commission to dismantle Cosy Corner Park went to Jack Reohorn, who happened to be a nephew of the younger White brothers. Thus, he recognized Gavioli's historical significance and purchased the organ, saving it from destruction. Reohorn passed the instrument to George R. Parmley (1914—1989), a British collector and conservator based in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, who repaired the organ. In 1956, the fully functional 98-key "Mammoth" made its debut at a local steam engines rally. Over the next two decades, the organ was maintained and managed by the Show Organ Society, regularly appearing at various gatherings of the steam preservation movement, including the 1964 Great Steam Fair in Shottesbrooke, Berkshire. Between 1964 and 1967, a series of critically acclaimed LPs and 7" records featuring the instrument came out on Decca Record Company. In 2000, Jack Reohorn's family sold the instrument to Neil Corner, a member of the Show Organ Society, who kept the historical instrument in the country, maintained and preserved by Norman Smith. After Smith died in January 2013, the instrument was again offered for sale, subsequently acquired in December 2017 by Tom Mayhew in Southampton, Hampshire, UK. | |

Manifold learned to play guitar and after completing his education, he sought a singing career. He was influenced by country artists such as Jimmie Rodgers and Hank Williams. He was also greatly inspired by the recordings and particularly the yodels of Wilf Carter (Montana Slim) and quickly became one of the few British artists to become completely proficient in the art of yodelling. He made his professional debut at a local club in Derbyshire in June 1965. In 1974, he became the first UK country artist to benefit from appearances on television’sOpportunity Knocks, eventually finishing second to the series’ overall winner Lena Zavaroni. He made his first recordings for the Westwood label in 1974. In 1975, he performed the winning song, ‘Who’s Gonna Bring Me Laughter’, in the 1975Opportunity Knocks Songwriters Competition, which led him to record for a major label, and he was also voted the Billboard Best British Solo Artist at London’s Wembley Festival. In 1977, he recorded for DJM and in September 1978, he was sponsored and taken to the USA to record an album in Nashville, using Nashville musicians. In 1986, he varied his style to record a gospel album, on which he was backed by the Pilling Brass Ensemble. Manifold maintained his popularity over the years, he toured extensively in the UK and also regularly played in several European venues. Occasionally he performed onstage with his two daughters. He also owned an entertainments agency and was involved with promotional work and a recording studio. He died just before a gig after suffering a sudden heart attack. | |

| Search | Add | 18 | Steven Fargnoli | Steven Joseph Fargnoli | Steven Fargnoli (28 August 1949, Newport, Rhode Island — 14 September 2001, Los Angeles, California) was an American artist manager and video/film producer best known as [a=Prince]'s manager in the first decade of his career. Fargnoli represented numerous other prominent acts, such as [a=Sinéad O'Connor] and [a=Godsmack], and served as a director and manager of his London-based label, [l=Red Dot Records] (from 1992 to '96). In February 1992, Fargnoli was nominated for "Best Long Form Music Video" at the 34th Grammy Awards for producing O'Connor's [m=502022] concert film. Fargnoli had worked as a booking agent since the early 1970s before he was hired by the [a=Cavallo-Ruffalo Management], a reputable firm founded by [a=Bob Cavallo], a future Chairman of Disney's [l=Hollywood Records], and Joe Ruffalo, which handled such high-caliber bands as [a=Earth, Wind & Fire], [a=Weather Report], and [a=Little Feat]. In early 1979, following the release of [a=Prince]'s debut album [m=22011], his label [l=Warner Bros. Records] signed Cavallo-Ruffalo as a new management team. Steve Fargnoli supervised the contract as a senior employee. In the following decade, Fargnoli contributed to all [a=Prince] studio albums between [m=22513] (1979) and [m=52497] (87), managed 1999 Tour, Purple Rain Tour, and Lovesexy Tour, and several music videos, including [m=268038] '88 concert film. Steven also worked on a few [l=Paisley Park] releases by Prince's proteges, such as [a=Sheila E.]'s [m=22729] (1985), self-titled albums by [a=Jill Jones] and [a=Taja Sevelle] in 1987, and [m=174819] (88) by [a=Dale Bozzio]. Steven became crucial to the Prince's ascend to international superstardom, subsequently promoted to a name partner in the firm, which rebranded as [a=Cavallo, Ruffalo & Fargnoli] in March 1986. Besides managing Prince's musical endeavors, Steve Fargnoli played a significant role in producing his debut Hollywood blockbuster [m=388665] which premiered in July 1984. The follow-up [m=268031] in 1986 — apparently, produced against Fargnoli's advice — became a box-office flop and earned Steven and his partners Razzie "anti-award" and a nomination for the year's Worst Movie. In January 1989, [a=Prince] abruptly fired his management team and appointed [a=Albert Magnoli], Purple Rain writer-director with no prior experience in artist management, as Fargnoli's replacement. Despite the initial press statements on the amicable separation, Steven and [a=Prince] soon engaged in a legal battle. In December 1991, Fargnoli sued Prince for allegedly defaming him in the lyrics of "Jughead," one of the tracks on [m=97248], and demanded $5 mln in damages. [a=Prince] immediately countersued, claiming mismanagement and bad faith advice; they settled out-of-court. In November 1992, Steven Fargnoli filed yet another five-million lawsuit, this time against Prince's new law firm, [a3682546], which was shortly dismissed by the court. After parting ways with Cavallo-Ruffalo and dissolving CR&F in June 1992, Fargnoli opened a new management firm, Pure Acts Ltd., with offices in London and Los Angeles. He signed and managed several notable artists, including [a=Karl Wallinger]'s [a=World Party], [a=Sinéad O'Connor], [a=Donna Lewis], and rock/nu-metal band [a=Godsmack] (helping to shape their mainstream success alongside his managing partner [a=Arma Andon]). In the late 90s, Fargnoli reunited with Bob Cavallo and served as A&R Consultant for [l=Hollywood Records]. He passed away at 52 after a lengthy battle with cancer. | Search | Add | 18 | Mason van Kraayenburg | Mason van Kraayenburg, born in Houston, Texas, 1988, has been composing and performing original instrumental music since the turn of the century. This is when he picked up the guitar as a young teenager, finding his life’s passion and purpose. Soon after teaching himself how to play, He co-founded the band “Enloom” in 2001. Described as a collective of musicians seeking creative and spiritual fulfillment, the group was Houston’s leading pioneer in experimental music for over a decade, ultimately disbanding in 2015. This is when He began writing “The Heavenly Scrolls” instrumental music series, composing 88 pieces for the 88 constellations. Set to be released as 8 albums, each one highlights different genres and features the artists that inspire them. The recordings are currently being collaborated on by a wide range of musicians worldwide. In 2018 he co-founded the progressive rock band "Three White Doves" performing with touring acts including Coastlands, Outrun the Sunlight, Howling Giant, Granite Hands and Zealand the North. In 2020 he featured on the track “Night Owls & Hummingbirds” by ambient artist Brother Saturn. He also serves as an auditory guide for spiritual events including The World Congress On Illumination with Patricia Cota-Robles, Synchronization Workshops with Teal Swan, Fire-walking Ceremonies with John Maisel and Ecstatic Dance Festivals with Dream Dance. The music of Mason van Kraayenburg is innovative and inspiring, characterized by fusing genres and merging soulful guitar with thought provoking composition. It is clear by his mantra, “nurture the tones that resonate within you," that he wishes to awaken something special within us. | |

| Search | Add | 18 | Lou Van Hille | Lou Van Hille is a French songwriter. Between 1988 and 92, he was a member of the band F.L.O.W., as bassist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, and songwriter. Along with two other members (Fabien Juchniewicz and Pierre Ramon), he co-wrote several demos which are now part of a collection album called HERE COME THE WOLVES. In 1993-94, he was a member of OUT OF DANGER as bassist, vocalist, and songwriter. Then, in 1995-96, he took on the same role with TOMORROW. Between 1997 & 2000, he tried to reunite F..L.O.W. with its former members, but their respective lives didn't allow them to continue the project. More demos were written during that period and are now part of a collection album called REUNION PROJECT. The NOS VICES album was written and composed during that same time. 16 demos were recorded. Around 2010, a new project began to take shape but it took nearly 15 years to come to fruition. In 2025, Lou Van Hille decided it was high time to complete the "new" project and complete all songs from the album entitled "STALKERS". Old demos from 1988-2010 should be re-recorded too. | |

| Search | Add | 18 | Stefan Islandi | Stefán Guðmundsson | Singer from Iceland, born 6 October 1907, died 1 January 1994. Opera singer. Born in Northern Iceland as Stefán Guðmundsson, he is considered the country's greatest tenor singer of the 20th century. He was the oldest of three children of a poor farm worker and his wife. When the boy was nine years old his father died in an accident, and he was brought up on a nearby farm. It was soon discovered that he was endowed with an exceptional singing voice, and when he came to Reykjavík at the age of nineteen he began taking singing lessons. A wealthy trawler owner volunteered to pay for his musical education in Italy where he studied in Milan from 1930 to 1933. In 1933 he made his debut as Cavaradossi in "Tosca" impressing the audience with his warm voice and his artistic temperament. The Italian press gave him the name Stefano Islandi. The following years up to WWII he toured his home country and many European countries. In 1940 he was engaged at the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen, Denmark, and became a Royal Court Singer in 1949. In the years after the war he also performed in the United States and Canada and appeared in the first operatic production of the National Theatre in Reykjavík in 1951 as the Duke in "Rigoletto". In 1966 he settled down in Iceland after having lived abroad for more than 35 years. Bio by: Erik Skytte |

In the industry for 5+ years, he’s worked with artists such as The Beatnuts, Noreaga, Curren$y, The Lox, Gunplay & Torch (MMG), and Ty Dolla Sign. Brak has been featured in Sway In The Morning Show, Hip Hop Weekly magazine, XXL Magazine, The Source, AllHipHop.com, DjEnuff.com (DJ from Hot 97, NYC), YoRaps.com, ThisIs50.com, VladTV.com, SwaysUniverse.com, MrPeterParker.com, ParkerVision.TV, TrillaTV.com, and various other press publications. Inspired by entrepreneurship and determination, Bullet Brak started his music career in his hometown of Annapolis, Maryland. After learning the role that Myspace played with music artists, he quickly immersed himself into his music, honing his self-taught creative process. “If I hear something I like in a beat, it happens- as repetition like shooting free throw,” said Brak. Wanting to purse his music interest as a career, Brak moved to Harlem, NY in 2007 to attend the Institute of Audio Research, where he graduated with honors in 2009 and received the Distinguished Alumni Award. In 2014, Brak was honored with a nomination for a Underground Music Award. Describing his style of hip-hop as mixture of East Coast, 90’s and Boom-Bap, Brak’s musical icons are Big Pun and Norega. As an artist, he strives to inspire others and prove that the underdog can come out on top. Flash forward five years, he envisions himself as an A&R for a major record company, where he plans to use the music industry to solidify his personal brand in the entertainment business. “Dreams Do Come True....When I was in Arizona, 3 days after my grandfather died ,who was my idol, I was on the phone on a dark street and found a coin that was handmade with an angel on the front and inscribed on the back was "Dreams Do Come True", said Brak, “that day changed my life.” |

| Search | Add | 18 | DJ Cliffy | DJ Cliffy is a Lisbon-based DJ, producer, and cultural curator celebrated for his pioneering work in bringing Brazilian and global sounds to international audiences. Named by Time Out magazine as the driving force behind two of London’s most influential club nights—Batmacumba and Future World Funk—he has played a central role in shaping the global beats movement. He is one half of the production duo Sugarloaf Gangsters, a long-time contributor to Straight No Chaser magazine, and holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy. Beyond his own projects, Cliffy has tour-managed legendary Brazilian artists including Marcos Valle and Azymuth, and has written liner notes for acclaimed releases by Os Ipanemas, Azymuth, and Marcos Valle. Batmacumba, Cliffy’s flagship monthly event at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), ran for an impressive 12 years. More than just a club night, it was a cultural happening—showcasing Brazilian music, film, and art—that led to international residencies and collaborations with leading venues such as the Barbican and Southbank Centre. With Future World Funk, Cliffy and Russ Jones redefined the landscape of global club culture. What began as a night at the Notting Hill Arts Club evolved into a groundbreaking compilation series on Ocho Records, selling over 50,000 copies. Rejecting Eurocentric ideas of “world music,” Future World Funk championed a more inclusive and democratic vision of global beats, earning Cliffy appearances at major festivals including Glastonbury, WOMAD, and Sfinks. Cliffy is also the curator behind the influential Black Rio album series on Strut Records, recognized as an essential retrospective of 1970s Brazilian soul and funk. | |

| Search | Add | 18 | Rembert Wurlitzer | Rembert Rudolph Wurlitzer | Rembert Wurlitzer (27 March 1904, Cincinnati, Ohio — 21 October 1963, New York) was a renowned US collector, researcher, and expert on antique violins and bows, founder and proprietor of the Rembert Wurlitzer Co. dealership. He taught in Cremona in later years and wrote extensively about Italian luthiers. In 1972, Rembert published a book, "I segreti di Stradivari," which thoroughly outlined and described Stradivari's designs and working methods. In 1963, Rembert Wurlitzer served as the consultant and liner notes author for [m=551180] LP on [l=Decca Records, Inc.], one of the first comprehensive presentations of Cremonese luthiery on the mainstream label. Wurlitzer descended from a reputable dynasty of instrument-makers and traders — a grandson of Franz Rudolph Wurlitzer (1831—1914), the founder of Wurlitzer Co., and son of Rudolph Henry Wurlitzer (1873—1948). In 1930, Rembert joined his father's company, Rudolph Wurlitzer & Co. Fully apprenticed as a piano-maker, Rembert Rudolph was always more passionate about stringed instruments. Around 1938, he established and headed Wurlitzer's violin department in New York. In 1949, Rembert R. Wurlitzer quit the family business to pursue a solo career and launched his Rembert Wurlitzer Co. workshop in Manhattan. He employed several notable luthiers and restorers, including Simone F. Sacconi (1895—1973) and his pupil Dario D'Attilli (1922—2004). Over the years, Wurlitzer's company had purchased, authenticated, restored, and sold countless Italian and other antique violins and bowed instruments — from over 300 (out of 600 known) "Stradivarius" instruments and rare makes by [a=Sanctus Seraphin] (1699—1776) or [a=Lorenzo Storioni] (1744—1816) to violins from the renowned Parisian atelier of proto-"industrialist" J. B. Vuillaume (1798—1875). Wurlitzer served as a supplier for some of the leading 20th-century violinists, like [a=Fritz Kreisler], [a=David Oistrach], and [a=Isaac Stern]. In 1967, Rembert Wurlitzer's company purchased the invaluable "Henry Hottinger Collection" of 34 antique violins. It was assembled by Henry Hottinger (1885—1979), a US investment banker who began collecting rare violins in his fifties. Today, a roughly estimated total value of this set would be in the range of $150-300 million — extrapolating recent auction sales and estimates for top-tier "Strads" and "del Gesus," such as 1741 "ex-Vieuxtemps" sold in 2012–13 for over £10.5 mln ($16.4 mln), the 1679 "Hellier" Strad valued in $7-11 million range at Christie's in 2022, and the 1714 Stradivarius sold by Boston's [l=New England Conservatory Of Music] at Sotheby's for $11.25 million in February 2025. The three artists have their own independent careers and in 2023 decided to join forces in this new project. Their first album, “VERANEIO,” is now available on all digital platforms and showcases the band's mix of pop and folk. The band's name, “Veraneio,” came from the idea of relaxing, “spending the summer” somewhere pleasant, finding rest even in the middle of a city as noisy as São Paulo. The word also explains the band's musical proposal of “spending the summer” amid the chaos of sounds, mixing the organic with electronic elements and perhaps thus “resting” in something original. | |

It wasn't until the year 2018, that they started sharing their music with the world. They grew up listening and loving music from Syd Barrett, The Doors, Lou Reed, Jimmy Hendrix, Nirvana, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Einstürzende Neubauten, Nine Inch Nails, Aphex Twin, Joy Division, Sumo and Fela Kuti among others conforming an extensive list. | Search | Add | 18 | King Arto | Artem Sargsian a.k.a. Art Jahgun | Russian dub artist, producer, mixing & mastering engineer, creator & promoter, soundsystem operator, dub school principal When Arto first visited Jamaica in July 2013, he met a farmer named Mark and a fisherman named Aaron. Jamaicans were very helpful and were happy to accompany the artist on a journey through the island. Once Aaron told Arto that there is a recording studio in his native fishing village on the west coast of the island . Arto decided immediately to go there and record the song "NUH SELL YOURSELF", which he sang all the way, wandering along with the farmer and fishermen through evergreen Jamaica. HighWave Studio is located in Negril, directly on the shore of the Caribbean Sea. Agreeing with the elderly dreadlock engineer - the owner of the studio, the musician started to work. Arto wrote a simple version of the famous Jamaican riddim "Cuss Cuss", using the tools available in the studios: broken drums, dusty keys and bass. When riddim was ready, Arto, Mark and Aaron recorded their voices. The room was cramped after recording and stuffy, but sea breeze and sandy beach met musicians on the way out . After recording Aaron invited Marka and Arto to go to his fishing lodge, which was nearby. Musician enjoy the taste of fried sea fish, listening to the stories of farmer and fishermen, while the aged engineer completed the mastering of the song "NUH SELL YOURSELF". |
