Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 19 | Hex Kommando | HEX KOM aka Hex Kommando | Hex Kommando (also HEX KOM) is an obscure lo-fi experimental ritual industrial & synthpop/coldwave project by Noise Nazi. It began a few weeks after the passing of NN's mother. And became an avenue for total experimentation in genres that were new & challenging (although NN had been a fan of these genres for a long time), while reigning with total self expression & madness. It combines influences from synthpop, darkwave, new wave, coldwave, goth rock, industrial, avant garde, minimal wave, electro and even disco/Hi-NRG! Every demo/album pulls elements from these genres. Along with noise & power electronics. Some albums & tracks are recorded on the spot (improvised) and are intentionally sloppy, disorganized & often have recording mistakes left in the songs themselves. This entire project was an experimental journey for Noise Nazi, learning to play different synths and keys and attempting to create something different, other than simply noise music. The first few songs and demos by HK were intentionally disorganized, lo-fi, obscure quality and with indiscernible vocals. The original intent was to embody the audio form of a dextromethorphan trip. While later on the project moved towards more organized, cleaner produced synth wave & experimental music. While some EP's and later demos also became dark ritual industrial music. Although Hex Kom retained some of it's indiscernible vocals style as to not Hex listeners with words or repeated choruses. The lyrics are secret & some tracks have discernible vocals when they are meant to invoke an emotion, spirit or incantation. |

| Search | Add | 19 | WC3 | WC3 formed in 1979 as [a1003264], with a sound compared by many to the likes of the Stranglers and Marquis De Sade. After a short period in the underground, with many shows ending in confrontations between the band and the audience, the group quickly differentiated themselves from their contemporaries by signing to a major label (in this case CBS) on a three-album contract. CBS, however, wasn't willing to adequately promote the group, which resulted in poor sales and tensions between the band and label became increasingly strained. Unfortunately, just as they fulfilled their contractual obligations with CBS, guitarist and keyboardist Janine committed suicide in 1984. This, combined with the negative experience of recording their first three albums, resulted in the dissolution of the group that same year, before they were able to seek out a new label. | |

Whilst studying for his degree he held the piano chair in the university big band as well as continuing to play orchestral french horn. After completing formal studies Al became a part time instrumental teacher for Devon Youth Music. At the same time he started to build a reputation as an electric bass player, musical director & arranger amongst the local soul & big bands, spent several years with world music improv band Rifiki and a short spell with heavy rock band Aesculus Hipp. With the collapse of the teaching arm of the music service in 2004 Al took the opportunity to become a full time self-employed musician and to expand his skills into playing double bass as well. Since then Al has run a jazz jam session at the Globe in Exeter for 3 years, an improvisation / composition workshop called The Other Compass, the E.S.P. jam session in Bristol and the successful Blue Vanguard Jazz Club with Coach York & Craig Milverton since 2011. His own bands (Monkey’s Uncle, Time Wasters, Power of Time Monkeys, Mother Popcorn, the Art Trip and most recently The Al Swainger Q'tet) have always met with critical approval and delighted audiences. Al's reputation as a sideman is formidable and is well known as someone able to slip easily into any context and sound like he's been doing it all his life at a moment's notice. He has been awarded 5th place in the British Jazz Awards three times from 2012-14. See below for a full rundown of collaborations through the years. He continues to break new ground as a freelance artist and has released albums with the Art Trip (Music of Art Pepper), art rockers Grice (Alexandrine), omni-fusion trio Snow Giants (UN), his own solo project Pointless Beauty (A Lonely Vigil / After & Before / Shall Brothers Be) and Biophosmos : The Music of Chick Corea.

| Search | Add | 19 | Khalil Souzou | Khalil Souzou is an experimental beat composer, instrumentalist and musician from the inner city of Atlanta Georgia. Switched on by the bump music that played between shows on Adult Swim, a late night block of cartoons that airs on Cartoon Network, Khalil became intrigued by the beats that would play and dreamed that one day he could make and hear his own beats being played. From then on he began to study music even more by picking up violin and learning the guitar as a basis to understanding the fundamental structure of music and its foundation. Soon after becoming more exposed to music of different genres, styles and cultures alongside the various beat makers that can be found on such labels as Ghostly International, Warp, Alpha Pup, Stones Throw, Leaving Records, Brainfeeder, Young Arts Records and other legendary beat makers such as J Dilla, Madlib, Black Milk, Nujabes and Dibia$e, he began crafting his own individual sound of expression to constantly evolve as an artist and a person. | |

The music is an engrossing fusion crisscrossing the gritty sounds of the desert, fueling a sense of a once Wild West meeting Middle-Eastern mystics and gypsy travelers along the way. It is driving and edgy, yet deeply contemplative and connective to many of the landscapes that nurtured a given song’s inspiration. Born in upstate New York, Arthur now resides in Southern Oregon. He has toured all over the US in 2023, playing over 100 shows from coast to coast. Taken from his bandcamp page.. "Where Arthur Buezo is from and has developed cant be pin-pointed, as he has travelled all of his life. Throughout these travels, music has been the main constant for him. Arthur Buezo has been a professional musician since 2010 and now is a One-Man-Band performer bringing the self titled genre, Savage Folk. While keeping original music live and well, sooner or later he will come to your venue" |

I was more than inspired and in 2016 I started to produce Vocaloid songs with the goal to transfer this new possibilities to other genres of music than the mainstream. |

The group went through some line-up changes, and was renamed to Stamps Ozark Quartet in 1948, and relocated to Wichita Falls, Texas. In 1948, the line-up consisted of tenors Ford Keith and Orvelle "Pat" Garner, baritone Charles Bartlett, bass Russell Richardson, and pianist Henry Slaughter. By 1949, Richardson had been replaced by bass Fred Bennett. In 1951, Keith passed away and was replaced by tenor Glen Payne. | Search | Add | 18 | Francesco Bande | FRANCESCO BANDE (Accordionist, diatonic accordion - melodeon player, singer) (Fisarmonicista, organettista, cantante) Born Bultei, 19 March 1930 - Died Bultei 1988. Francesco Bande began playing the melodeon (diatonic accordion) at a very young age, following in the footsteps of his father, also a melodeon player; so this newly inherited passion quickly and profoundly becomes the greatest passion of his life. Constantly dedicated to the culture and music of Sardinia, Francesco Bande, virtuoso of the melodeon and accordion, has been a serious and tireless popularizer of Sardinian traditions, on the island and throughout the world. Always with the same passion and the same intensity, the same ability to involve and drag the spectator, Francesco Bande played and sang in the great popular festivals of Sardinia but also in minor village festivals, weddings and large audiences in Europe and the 'America. Francesco Bande, who was also the author and composer of original music and arrangements, represented Sardinia in numerous events nationally and internationally, gaining huge popularity in the 1960s. Also noteworthy is his artistic production, recorded on records, like some traditional Sardinian music. Among them: "Sa logudoresa seria", "Su passu torradu", "Sa danza de Bultei" and "Cavalcata sarda". In the last years of his life - he died at the age of 58 in his country of origin, Bultei- was involved in the realization of a great project: a cultural circle, which was to be a meeting place for Sardinian artists and musicians , in love with the history and traditions of their land. Unfortunately he did not have time to see this idea materialized; however, it almost became a spiritual testament. His wife, Bastianina Mannu, and his daughter Inoria will give life to the Circolo imagined by Francesco Bande, which obviously was dedicated to him. The Circle then also became a Museum, today rightly considered a precious point of reference, fundamental for the history, culture and popular traditions of Sardinia, in particular the musical ones. Old Manual's debut album HD was released on January 1st 2013, by his own label [l=AVNL Records] (co-managed with Portuguese musicians Diogo Correia ([a=Marie Dior]) and Tiago Rodrigues ([a=RAP/RAP/RAP]). His approach towards electronic music is somehow experimental, in a more direct way. Rather than exploring textures and sounds directly, Old Manual tends to incarnate the styles themselves, experimenting them, and making his own audio exploitations from within the style he's experimenting. One cannot define easily what style of electronic music he ends up achieving as a whole, as he actively rejects fitting into any in particular. Ultimately, It will be easier for the audience to embrace each and every aspect of Old Manual's range of styles, in order to enjoy them fully. |

Nevertheless, this did not prevent him from touring Europe as a member of the Düsseldorf punk rock band PUBLIC TOYS for almost ten years from 1991 onwards and releasing various records. However, after the band's break-up in spring 2000, he never touched his instrument again. Instead, Thiel devoted himself to the backstage organisational skills he had acquired with the Public Toys and began a six-month internship at a music label in mid-1999. The six months eventually turned into 13 years at [l34268] / [l2345], during which Thiel worked in varying positions as promotion manager, field marketing manager and new media director with bands such as Slipknot, Nickelback, Slash, Machine Head, Type O Negative, The 69 Eyes, Moloko, Lenny Kravitz, Kiss, Killswitch Engage, Dresden Dolls & Amanda Palmer, etc. This was followed by engagements as Product Manager at ROTC Musikverlag, as Digital Marketing Director at the promotion & marketing agency Black Mob and as Label Manager at Century Media Records. In between, Roman Thiel founded the label DRUMMING MONKEY RECORDS in 2007 together with Mary Ritchie and Toten Hosen drummer Vom Ritchie, who had often shared the stage and the common rehearsal room on Ronsdorfer Straße in earlier years. The friendship still exists today, Drumming Monkey no longer since October 2020. With his label HINTERHOF PRODUKTIONEN, newly founded in 2020, Roman Thiel will manage the "legacy of the monkey stable" and offer new artists a creative home. As well as continuing to expand his collaboration with bands such as THE BACKYARD BAND and CASINO BLACKOUT, for whom Thiel also acts as management.

The first drummer was [a370737], who left the group between August and December 1961 and was replaced by Gus Johnson. Another show was performed on July 23rd, 1961 live on CBS radio show. The group had grown to an Octet and featured additionally [a260723] on trombone and [a1343114] on baritone saxophone. Both, however, was discarded and Woody Herman emphasized the show on clarinet by recording with a quartet (Andrus, Johnson, Pierce and Herman). On August 6th, 1962 the quartet recorded again. [a354659] replaced Gus Johnson on drums. 4 titles were recorded, only two were released on promo [r6956121]. The first appearance of the name "Woody Herman Quartet" was on August 18th, 1940 on a NYC radio broadcast, when Woody Herman formed a quartet with [a1476999], [a724145] and [a336818], performing two songs live on air.

| Search | Add | 18 | Sondra Williams | Sondra "Blinky" Williams (born May 21, 1944 in Oakland, California is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter. She recorded the album Hark The Voice on Atlantic Records, then moved to Motown where she recorded (as "Blinky") five singles including her debut, the Ashford & Simpson penned single "I Wouldn't Change The Man He Is", (a song reportedly written about Lovin' Spoonful studio bass player James Killingsworth) in 1968, and thought she would find success when she recorded a duet album with Edwin Starr entitled Just We Two on the heels of his 25 Miles. However, they did not get the push that either the Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell or the Supremes-Temptations duets did, and success again eluded her when, after becoming a protégé of Sammy Davis, Jr., his deal with the label fell through. Blinky released two further singles for Motown in the early 1970s (on the company's California-based MoWest subsidiary) and has had several others scheduled for release but never actually released. She is also credited with singing the theme for the 1970s TV series Good Times, along with Jim Gilstrap. His version of "God Bless The Child" appears on the album Rock Gospel: The Key To The Kingdom and her recording of "'Tain't Nobody's Biz-ness if I Do" is on the soundtrack of Lady Sings The Blues, the Billie Holiday bio-pic starring Diana Ross. Unfortunately, most of her solo work, save for a few singles, remained until 2019 unreleased. She can be heard live on the Motortown Revue Live! CD. In addition, she was one of the original Cogic Singers, with Andraé Crouch, Sandra Crouch, Billy Preston, Edna Wright (lead singer of The Honey Cone), Frankie Karl, and Gloria Jones. Following her non-success with Motown, she returned to gospel music and resumed her given name. On October 31, 2009, Sondra appeared as a backup singer, along with Sharon Jones, performing The Rolling Stones' "Exile on Main Street" as part of the rock band Phish's musical costume at their Festival 8, which was held at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California from October 30, 2009 through November 1, 2009. | |
