Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | The Gongs | From 2002 bio: The Gongs on themselves We formed in early September of 2001. We started off playing musical games using a trio of three lutes called "guys" and recorded the singles "you think i'm a terris", and "i smell..." When we found our first set of steel gongs near the train tracks, they taught us how to imitate the sounds that animals hear, as can be heard in "the bat", and "an old man talks to his dog". Now we always play with our set of amplified gongs. Originally, we were a threesome, Pete, Clara, and Stefan. When he heard us one night, Grisha became attracted to the sound of the gongs' microtones and drones, which he describes in "Evergreens [in Darkest Night]". He became the Gongs' fourth member, playing reeds (a retuned harmonium) and chucky (a super-long electric sliding stringed instrument). He discovered some splendid new techniques for playing the Chucky, such as "creating a cast relationship w/ the stratosphere", and others you can hear on our website. From the beginning, we had been in contact with "th' Man w/ the Red Steam"; we sang a few songs about him and soon realized we needed a better tool to communicate with. In January, we built this out of a collection of electronic rhythm circuits. Ever since then "th'Man w/the Red Steam" (or more correctly, "th'monument to th'Man with the Red Steam") has been helping to complete our sound. Back in October, (hal'ween to be exact) the gongs made first contact with artist/composer/producer/???, Momus, and began work on a cd for release on his label American Patchwork. We also just finished a little 45 rpm record, with 2-step, 5-step, and 7-step dances on it. Both the cd and the record will be with us on tour this summer, so come check us out.

Search | Add | 3 | Maria T-Ta | Patricia Roncal Zuñiga | Peruvian Singer and Songwriter (Lima, July 12, 1961 - Germany, March 29, 2012), Belonged to the Peruvian Underground Rock Scene in the 80's. Lead Vocals of [a=Maria T-Ta Y El Empujón Brutal] and founded [a=Concha Acústica], considered the 1st Peruvian Underground Rock Band formed by female members. Published in the fanzine "Punto de Placer" (1986). Her mysterious departure from Peru (1991) contributed to the construction of a myth about her as she did not maintain contact with her underground friends and was not heard from again until 2014 when the information about her death was made public because of pancreatic cancer. Her style, although keeping great distances, was compared to that of German Punk [a=Nina Hagen]. She was one of the few women who assumed a leadership position within a Peruvian Rock Scene dominated mostly by men. Nonetheless, became the central target of misogyny within that scene with testimonials of verbal and physical abuse received by male rockers. |

Search | Add | 3 | Schimbu' 3 | Schimbu' 3 was founded in September 2020 by [a11495597] (then Sindrom), Bilă and Bujie as Foamea. Shortly after its founding, [a11495600] joined, but disagreements among the members resulted in Bujie leaving the group. A name change to Trotil followed. Bilă left in the summer of 2021, and [a11495603] replaced him. During that same year, the group rebranded several times, finally settling on Schimbu' 3. In late 2021, [a11495606] joined the band after katargu' found out about his talents. In April 2022, [a11495597] and [a11495600] released an album together, [r=23852624], on which all four of the members at the time appeared. [a11495603] left the group shortly after its release. The group's first album, [r=26443457], was supposed to arrive at the end of September 2022. In August, a single, [r=24155570], was released to promote it. However, the release date was pushed back indefinitely. Finally, the album was released in March 2023.

Search | Add | 3 | Grete Lienert-Zultner | From Scola, Ortrun; Schiel, Annemarie: Transylvanian-Saxon female figures. Her life and work, Edited by the Country Team of the Transylvanian Saxons in Germany eV The father was a school principal and Ecclesiastes - he led the church choir and the Adjuvantenkapelle - the mother of a first trained with Adele Zay kindergarten teachers. Grete's wish was from childhood to become a teacher. She attended public school in Sibiu, where Minka Bruckner was their revered teacher, then the teacher-training college in Sighisoara. She was a popular, efficient and sangesfreudige student. Here they not only discovered her love for music but also for populist poetry of Anna Schuller Schullerus. In that time already developed the first experiments with dialect poetry, supported and promoted by the seminar director, Dr. Heinz Brandsch. After their completion in 1925 it was only a short time teacher, as they already in 1926 married the notary Michael Lienert and the then regional church provisions of married teachers were not allowed to continue teaching. This injunction was lifted only in 1937. But in addition to her family - she had two sons and a daughter - she served in the Women's Association, gave lectures and recitals together with Anna Schuller Schullerus, Luise Help leg and Gerda Miess-Lipponen. When singing with children and young people always created new songs, mostly in the Saxon dialect. Inspired by the folk tales of Anna Schuller Schullerus, Grete Lienert himself wrote plays and directed them also. Her most famous among them are: "Äm your uch Gläck" (To honor and happiness), "Bäm Brännchen" (The little spring), "Farmer Liesel" and "hu Fosnicht mer" (Shrove we have). All pieces are elegant, rich "folk poetry", characterized by simplicity and earthiness true (H. Mieskes). The profession of the husband as a civil servant brought frequent change of location with himself and opened up Grete Lienerts work always new circles of life and people who encouraged her art and encouraged: Schuster Dutz, Hans Mild - with which they brought out the later award-winning song "Ta Drimer" - Carl Reich Elder., Lena Kraus, Serious Irtel and Christine Maly part uva After 1937 taught Grete Lienert again, collecting in 26 years of teaching activity in Netus, Neustadt, because village Schaas and other places further knowledge to the Saxon folk song. It originated their songs in folk style: "De asters blähn Insem äm garden", "The Owend kit to chan". They are among the best known and sung as folk songs in Germany and America. Their dramatic poem "The burned Maid", a historical fabric of the Saxon past, was awarded a prize. In the dark years after the Second World War, the family Lienert suffered the fate of many compatriots: The husband was deported to Russia as a German, later came back as a patient, the family had to suffer expropriation, prohibition and difficult training of their children. During this time, Grete Lienert founded a folk song-singing group who also sang a record with 14 Lienert songs, and also an amateur game group that toured the Saxon villages with their stage and radio plays, and the country people brought encouragement and refreshment in their hard life . From 1963 the family lived in Sighisoara, where Grete a welcome fellow in the neighborhood, the church choir and literature circle was. From the singing group, a chamber choir which still exists today. In 1978 the family moved to West Germany and now lives in Traunreut. Again, Grete Lienert soon became a center of Music and Dramatic as a cultural consultant and helped the country team in the establishment of a Transylvanian choir with. Her songs are sung by all Transylvanian choirs, especially by the excellent "by Samuel Madrigal Choir Cantores Brukenthal Cibiniensis". In Germany two songbooks and tapes published two poetry. From restless creative tätigem Grete Lienert was called away unexpectedly on 1.4.1989.

Search | Add | 3 | The Peace Artistes | In post-hippie 1980s Britain, Margaret Thatcher's policies provoked a wave of protest across the country. There was much to protest about: nuclear weapons, racism, attacks on trade unions, cuts in public services and the dreadful Poll Tax. Musicians around the country, from self taught beginners to trained professionals, formed bands to join the growing protests. In Bradford, a few Peace Studies students and some members of CND got together to make a joyful noise on peace marches, with drum, a clarinet, a flute, a couple of saxophones and occasionally an accordion. Suddenly a street-band had appeared, cleverly called The Peace Artistes!
