Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Ивановой | The Russian chorus led by Елизавета Ивановна Иванова (Elizaveta Ivanovna Ivanova) made many recordings (released by Gramophone Concert records, Zonophone records etc.) in the first decade of 20th century. As all (or most) of these recordings were recorded in Moscow, it can be assumed that the chorus also was based in Moscow. |

We released two EPs, which received quite a lot of air play in the Boston area. We even had a top 20 hit on college radio across the country. We were in the midst of recording our third album when the band broke up. One of my favorite cuts from those final sessions was a song called One Step Forward, which was never released. I especially love the background vocals sung by Rosemary St George. An amazing talent who has gone on to have a great music career on her own. This song is about having the courage to heal ourselves in order to heal the world – one step at a time…." - Forrest Hill

Search | Add | 3 | Rodney O'Quinn | He is best known as the bassist for Foghat. At 5 years old, grabbing mom’s vacuum cleaner like a mic stand singing “Hound Dog” by Elvis, Rodney O’Quinn was smitten and bitten by the music bug at an early age. By the time he was 11, a request from a friend simply saying “We need a Bass Player. You should get one!” would lead him to the first of many stages he would perform on. Straight out of High School, Rodney attained his higher education in Rock & Roll playing full time from 1984-1996 with various notable Bands out of the South East U.S. This included a 5-year stint with one of the South East’s top touring/grossing bands, ELI which generated 2 well received albums. Averaging 240 shows a year left Rodney feeling burned out and ready for a change. He was leaving life on the road behind (or so he thought). In 2007 (Rodney describes it as an “itch that needed to be scratched”) music beckoned once again and he was compelled to answer. Rodney joined Pat Travers Band for what he thought would be a year or two on the road. Over the next eight and half years with the Pat Travers Band, Rodney played over 500 shows across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Europe and Sweden and recorded 2 studio CD’s and 2 Live CD/DVD’s with the band. They also performed Live on the syndicated show RockLine Radio 3 times as well as a concert, “Live from Moondance Jam” which aired over 100 times on Direct TV. More than just a beast on the bass and a pretty face, Rodney used his business savvy background to handle many facets of the PTB organization. In 2010, he co-produced a run of shows that featured Pat Travers, Derek St Holmes, Mark Farner and Ronnie Montrose called Guitar Gods of the 70’s. Along with other members of Pat’s band, Rodney would play bass behind all of these Artists. During these extensive tours, as fate would have it, Rodney crossed paths many times with his friend and fellow bass player, Craig MacGregor of Foghat. After watching Rodney play, Craig Macgregor admired Rodney’s talent and when the time was right, was called upon in 2015 to fill in for “Mac” and has since become a permanent part of the Foghat Family. Two years, 2 Foghat CD releases and 140+ shows (and counting) Rodney is honored to be able to add his touch to this piece of Foghat history.

Search | Add | 3 | The Razorbills | The Razorbills | The Razorbills are an "indie-folk-punk" band from Galloway, Scotland, producing music which blends acoustic instrumentation with strands of the folk tradition and pop / rock styles. Reviewing their first album "To Hell With Youth & Beauty", fRoots magazine commented: "The Razorbills are quirky and brassy enough to stand on their own. Idiosyncracy a go go", and R2 magazine, giving it 4 stars, "the sound is infused with an electric energy and unpredictable quirkiness which steers well clear of the overly praised Mumfords' territory". A third disc, a six-track EP "Festivals" was released in 2019. 2012 line-up: Alan McClure, Michelle McClure, Harry Thomson, Richard Ipaint, Jon Noad 2013-15 line-up: Alan McClure, Michelle McClure, Harry Thomson, Jon Noad, Iain McLeod 2015-16 line-up: Alan McClure, Michelle McClure, Harry Thomson, Jon Noad, Rebecca Redden 2016-present: Michelle McClure, Harry Thomson, Jon Noad, Rebecca Redden |

Named after his solo "Scanning Planet 3", they strike a unique balance between out-there spaciness and hybrids of jazz and folk musics. Search | Add | 3 | The Verbal Mind | Caidyn Coker | From Steampunk, Electronic Dance Music, to Bossinova Jazz Metal, The Verbal Mind is a West Virginia based experimental solo project that started began being more public since 2021. The Verbal Mind was created due to being into a vast majority of music styles, but couldn't just choose one and stick to it. So now, each album, EP, or any release is entirely the opposite of what you'd expect. Back in 2021, the creation of The Verbal Mind started through a series of unreleased demos under the name "Open Your Eyes". One of those songs just so happened to be the debut song "You Hate Me, I Too Hate Me (I Hate Myself And So Should You) Demo" in January 21st of 2022. Afterwards, a series of singles for the first album "DOWNWARDS; INTO THE RABBIT HOLE", which released July 7th, 2023. Silence was left after the release until 2024, as the unexpected EP "TEMPOFRANTIC", was releasing April 12th, 2024. TEMPOFRANTIC EP is an all electronic, drum n bass EP, made just to explore the inner workings and experimentations of sampling, synthesizers, time signatures, and MIDI works. As of now, the new upcoming sophomore album, "Tempus Fugit" is being heavily worked on, with a single to be expected sometimes soon (no announcements yet) |

Members David and Joy have over 10 years of experience together in both pop and experimental music production. Using analog, and often self-designed sound devices, The Black White State explores rich soundscapes and rhythmic elements to form haunting sound aesthetics. Inspired by folkloric music and vintage electronic compositions of the 1960’s and 70’s, the band traces themes of the supernatural and its influence on the human experience.

The CARE Cancer Institute helps poor people who needs cancer treatment and fake hair after chemo. Wanting more information, please visit INSTITUTO CARE / PROJETO SANSÃO at: http://www.careoncologia.com.br/instituto-care The idea came after 4AD´s This Mortal Coil, with unusual partners doing songs together, but in this case, we wish to celebrate 10 years of the WAVE RECORDS label and, the most important, support and help people in need of cancer treatment. Music project & concept by Alex Twin Sounds on the album will transport you to the 80´s era: ethereal, melancholic and beautiful!

Search | Add | 3 | Rufino The Catalan Casanova | Phillip Branson | An engaging and charming Black Sea Gentleman with the skills of entertainer, violinist, card dealer, escape artist and distorter of truth. Excerpt from THE HISTORY OF MIKELANGELO AND THE BLACK SEA GENTLEMEN: For decades the group toured Europe and Asia Minor receiving ovations and accolades. All was well until the sudden and tragic demise of the beloved Senor Handsome on the eve of the groups’ debut at the Kirov Opera, St. Petersburg. Though details remain shrouded in mystery, it is believed he was thrown from his horse while hastily leaving the residence of one of his many lovers…and in that awful moment it seemed that the Black Sea Gentlemen would be no more. Despondent, the Gentlemen left St. Petersburg and made their way to the Bulgarian Black Sea town of Varna, hitting the drinking houses to drown their collective sorrow. It was in a particularly seedy gambling den, at some unfathomable hour, that the Gentlemen lost all their worldly possessions to a sly young Catalan Casanova named Rufino. The inveterate gambler and confidence man was bemused at having won himself a piano accordion, a clarinet and a kontrabass, and announced, ‘I once swindled the devil himself for his infernal violin only to lose it in a card game a few days later, all I have left is the bow!’ Half mad with grief and drink, Mikelangelo then brought out the last thing the Gentlemen had, Senor Handsome’s violin, and placed it on the gambling table. Instantly, tears welled up in the eyes of Rufino and he began to shake quite uncontrollably. Calming himself with a walnut brandy, he opened the case, gently picked up the instrument and played a lament so heartrending that the whole room fell silent. He then cleared his throat, ‘my friends, this was once my brother’s violin, just last night I dreamed that he died, tell me this is not true.’ The Gentlemen all stared into the eyes of Rufino and saw that same fire that had danced in the eyes of Senor Handsome, and in that moment they knew that he too was a Black Sea Gentleman. |

Search | Add | 3 | Reggie Quinerly | Jazz drummer from Houston, Texas. He was born on November 16, 1980, and took up drums at age 8 after hearing drummer Lester Grant playing at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, which Quinerly attended with his family. Quinerly attended the High School of the Performing and Visual Arts and went on to attend the Mannes School of Music at New School University in New York where he got to study with three great drummers: Jimmy Cobb, Lewis Nash, and Kenny Washington. From the start, Quinerly was less interested in becoming the next traps phenomenon than developing into a complete artist whose skills as a composer and arranger were fully integrated into his prowess at the traps. He went on to earn his Master’s in Jazz Studies at Juilliard, after which this “conscientious jazz drummer with a nimble and approachable style” (New York Times) played with such leading artists as Wynton and Branford Marsalis. With saxophonist Marcus Strickland, he played and lectured as part of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jazz in the Schools program. In the fall of 2017 he returned to Juilliard as an adjunct professor.

Search | Add | 3 | Grim County Coroners | Dom Kreep | the story so far... The birth of The Grim County Coroners 4th. November. 2014 I was looking for something. Something hard to find because, well, I wasn't sure what it was to begin with... Somewhere between dead sounds, red dead redemption and the long, dark tunnel that led up to the last Kreeps album proper, "Spirit Clinic", I'd stopped having fun, and when you're an artist sometimes finding enjoyment in your creativity is all you have. things were developing well with Kreeps and all the signature sounds were still intact - but something was missing. i needed a way to tap directly back into the source of my love for dark surf and experimental soundtrack music - essentially where Kreeps began. a psychic feedback loop if you will. The Grim County Coroners had to be born. Between the records mentioned above is where most of the coroners material was written and recorded - an attempt to stitch together surf, rockabilly and jump blues with lurching, experimental, early-synth soundtracks - but after the stresses surrounding the release of "Spirit Clinic" I soon decided to take a break from music to regroup and concentrate on other things, and The Coroners project was largely forgotten about. Until now... When the dust settled I relocated and began to frequent Scarecrow Video in Seattle, which pulled me back into that crazy world of sound and vision all over again. anyone that's been to Scarecrow knows it's an overwhelming archive of incredible cinema. Suddenly I was reconnected with all those trashy and psychedelic horrors and thrillers I was so influenced by when I started Kreeps. I suddenly had access to films I'd never had an opportunity to see and some films I'd never even heard about. I loved everything about them. The cinematography, the crazy dialogue, the often nonsensical plots, and of course the soundtracks. several sparks were reignited during my trash cinema orgy - and I started thinking about The Coroners again. Meanwhile, Bob Nixon (Kreeps visual designer extraordinaire) had been getting into producing sculpted toys of his cartoon characters (see 'The Unfortunates') and this led to us talking about old board game designs we'd liked and that he'd really like to produce one some day. We came up with the concept of a 60's style spooky board game with accompanying music to play along to, but it was very much a dream at that point. 'The Curse Of Grim County' is set to be released as a series of limited vinyl records to form a mini album to accompany the board game. |

Search | Add | 3 | Ramona Yacef | Born in Torino, Italy, Ramona devoted her life to music. At the early age of 5 she began playing the piano, which immediately became her first big passion. She grew up as an artist firstly in Torino with her crew and party organizers called “ We Play The Music We Love”. The collective has been representing the underground music scene of the northern Italian city for the last 10 years and Ramona is definitely an important influence still nowadays. Then she moved to Paris where she fully dedicated herself and her time producing music and grew artistically, starting to gain recognition also from outside France. From “Output Club” New York, playing with artists like Seth Troxler and many more Ramona has proven talent and fine taste. In the words of the french “Trax Magazine” in early 2019 Ramona is «the Italian music expert». Ramona has hit Paris playing “Concrete” and “Rex Club” as well as collaborating with the label and promotion agency “Crazyjack”. She spends time in the studio between gigs and radio shows, where she is currently working on an EP with Aprapta. Warm sounds does not allow us to confine her style under any music genre. Her music is not only for the dance floor but also for those ears who appreciate eclectic groove and refined rhythm coming from all Ramona´s endless musical influences.

Search | Add | 3 | Marcel Grantello | Anthony Bellante Jr. | Died August 19, 2021. Marcel Grantello aka Anthony "Little Anthony" Bellante, Jr. was a Dallas, Texas based entertainer in the Northern Soul and hard rock genres. Of Italian heritage, he came to prominence as the first white entertainer to be hired to Charles Taylor's Cotton Club Revue, which he later headlined. His longtime manager was Ray Brondo, a Dallas-based talent manager who was close friends with club owner and Lee Harvey Oswald assassin Jack Ruby. He recorded several regional singles under the Little Anthony and Marcel Grantello monikers, and worked with the UK label Smudge Records in the 1980s. Grantello aka Little Anthony was a lifelong James Brown devotee, and in fact was dubbed "The Second Hardest Working Man In Show Business" due to his convincing impersonation of James Brown. Starting in 1991, he sponsored numerous talent shows under names such as Little Anthony's Star Search and Little Anthony's Talent Revue. Search | Add | 3 | Bob Livorio | A favorite radio show of Pittsburghers for 36 years was the “Saturday Morning Listening Habit” that was hosted by Bob Livorio on WKPA. Beginning on the air in the late 1950's Livorio was one of the first Pittsburgh area DJs to play R&B and "Doo Wop" which was then categorized as "race music".' "Of the hundreds of radio personalities who have passed through the Pittsburgh market in 85 years of radio, few make an impact, The Valley has in Bob Livorio at least one of a handful of radio legends that shaped the way we grew up listening to the radio - as a companion, a friend." Ron Antill WISH program director (Tribune Review Interview 2005) Livorio's show was so popular in 1961 that students from three high schools demanded Kennywood Park to play Bob's show over the park's loud speakers. They did not want to miss Bob's show while they were at their school picnics. Bob Livorio went on the air for the first time 1957. Radio and music were his passions. Bob moonlighted as a radio DJ on WKPA for three hours each Saturday morning. He worked full time as an advertising salesman for the New Kensington, Pa newspaper the Daily Dispatch . Bob played a mix of rock and ballads on his programs. "Psycho" by the Sonics and "Surfer Joe"/"Wipeout" by the Surfaris were two garage rock classics that he introduced on his show. Among his favorite ballads were I Only Have Eyes For You" by the Flamingos, "Forever" by the Marvelettes, and "Angel Baby" by Rosie & the Originals. Tommy James credits Bob as one of the DJs who broke the hit single Hanky Panky. Lovorio also supported the music of Pittsburgh artists. During the British Invasion years in the early 1960s he played the recordings of the Fenways, the Arondales, the Racket Squad, the Skyliners, and the Vogues. A WKPA advertisement highlighted the sounds of the Bob Livorio Show listing the songs High on a Hill, 69, Every Day's a Holiday, Please Love Me Forever, Stop Pretending, Lover's Island, and more. Listeners sent Bob hundreds of request letters each week. On Friday nights Bob gathered his wife and children in his living room. Together they read and sorted the requests. Bob picked his playlist forms from the requests and read the requestor's names on the air on Saturdays. Bob dedicated songs to his listeners. On weekend nights Lovorio spun records for his teenage fans at dances at Henry's in Tarentum, the New Kensington YMCA , the Birdville Fire Hall in Natrona Heights, and school sock hops.

Search | Add | 3 | Mysterell | Rock group from Italy. mysterell Welcome to Mr. Mysterell … In 1997 and 1998 the danish AOR group Pangea released the albums “The First” & “Manchild”. Two albums in the AOR vein with a heavy touch. No doubt that the guitarist and leadsinger from this group Torben Lysholm had a unique voice and his talent on the guitar is among the best. The group had a great success in Japan, and in the beginning of 2000 they re-formed the group with new members and went into the studio to records songs to their 3rd album. The 3rd album has been recorded, but currently it hasnt´t been signed to any label yet, and Pangea is also adding a new frontman to the group, after Torben Lysholm decided to work with his own project called “Mysterell”. With Mysterell Torben Lysholm heads more at the musicstyle that we knows from legendary AOR bands such as Giant etc. Great AOR music with touch of west coast. Late 2004 the italian label Frontiers Records signed the project and now the album is released. This album has many highlights and the opening song “Don´t Ever Stop” take you to a music trip that don´t stop at all, with well written songs and a production that is handled great by Mr. Mysterell. Beside his solocareer Torben Lysholm is also working as a producer and songwriter, and in 2005 there will be some interesting project from his side.

Search | Add | 3 | The Surf Messengers | The Surf Messengers | Who are The Surf Messengers? Annie Q (from Devon), when not trying to find out what noises a milk bottle can make, plays flute, sax and clarinet and creates wistfully twisted lyrics. Glenda Pescado (from West Wales), if not playing the bass, loves to manipulate noise and mess with off-centred and otherwise effected records as well as heavily-treated, sampled and looped guitars and such like. You may also know him by psyche-rock band SENDELICA. Nick Danger (from Surrey) is essentially a drummer who thinks the whole world is a drum kit; but he also likes to explore other sounds, usually invovling the unlikely juxtapostion of household objects and can often be seen with his trusty dictaphone in hand. And will whitney (from Devon) likes to hit things with varying degrees of violence: sometimes suspended gearbox housings but often just a guitar or a keyboard. They come together once or twice a year to play and record as THE SURF MESSENGERS. They've been playing together as this combo for over 10 years now and have an understanding that allows them to improvise creatively in many different set-ups: sometimes as a straight beat combo; sometimes as a experimental cell; but, more often than not, as a combination of these. What you can be sure of is, whatever instrumentation they choose to use, whether it be regular or radical, the resulting music is always interesting, frequently challenging, sometimes darkly humourous and often extremely beautiful. And all the music is created without prior discussion. Most of TSM recordings are rare self-produced CDR's which can be ordered through their own C IS FOR DOG RECORDS. |

She apparently was a suicide, the police said." "The Daily News" of New York, New York, 24 October 1947, page B58 wrote that "four empty sleeping-pill bottles were near her body. Police, listing the case as an apparent suicide, said she left a note which read: 'Dear Lord, forgive me as I never could make myself behave.'" Under her given name, she seems to have appeared in a two-reel comedy film in 1924 titled "Shattered Faith" with co-stars Lillian Kemble, Rudolph Camerson, and J. Frank Glendon, directed by Jesse J. Ormont. From "Variety," the weekly entertainment trade magazine, vol. 154, no. 13, 7 June 1944 - "Field publishing a book of bedside verse, to be entitled 'Pin-up Poems,' by Diana Johns, night-club singer, who writes her own comedy songs."
