Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Philip Brooks | Growing up in a conservative 800-soul village, Philip struggled to find connection to their same-aged peers. Spending most of their childhood alone on a computer, they stumbled across music recording software at age 13 and began making songs. In 2017 Philip and friend Edwin went on a road trip along the west-coast of France. The longing back to it, as the remaining summer rushes by in a haze, bringing months of winter-depression closer, inspired debut-single "honey let's just drive". After a turbulent 2018 Philip writes "spend some time alone inside my head", a driving dream-pop song about the frustration of having to explain your mental state, when you don't understand it yourself. This would become their most popular song, shared by genre-mutual girl in red and streamed over 1m times. Philip moved to London in summer 2019. First sleeping on friends' floors, eating rice and beans but determined to make entrance to the alive music scene. Early 2020 they released "i'm so in love with all of my friends", featuring a choir of artist-friends such as ella jane, Abbie Ozard and Odina. A music video of sent-in clips by 93 fans premiered on Gay Times. Later that year Philip came out as non-binary and, drawn to queer culture, decided to relocate to english LGBTQ+ hotspot and seaside-town Brighton. Besides releasing music, Philip works as a producer for artists including Edwin Rosen and Ginger Taylor.

With influences ranging from King Diamond, Megadeth and Malmsteen to JS Bach and Jerry Goldsmith(horror-movie score composer), Dalley's music is both visual as well as heavy. What matters to him first and foremost though are "the songs" and creating an atmosphere with the music. The music he creates of his band [a230959] is his purpose. Whether its the bombastic drive of the drums or the haunting interlude arrangements, POWER's music is sure to be appealing to the lovers of "Metal" looking for an inspired sonic journey.

Search | Add | 8 | Spoilman | SPOILMAN | Formed in Tokyo and starting in 2019, SPOILMAN is a rare alternative/grunge band influenced by US grunge and post-hardcore, and unusually in recent years, they profess respect for The Jesus Lizard and have inherited its metamorphosis. The band's expressiveness is backed by high performance, killer guitar riffs, rhythmic and beat resolution, muscle-shredding simplicity of note count, and gritty sound and its sharpness. The band has not been snatched up by the mainstream, and has maintained a BEST KEPT SECRET presence to this day. The production speed of their albums is astonishingly fast, and they have released three albums so far, "BODY" (2020), "SOLID GREEN" (2021), and "HARMONY" (2022), on Kerosene Records at a yearly pace. The creative pace continues to accelerate, and this year, 2023, he finally broke through the meter and produced two albums' worth of music, which will be recorded on two albums as "UNDERTOW" and "COMBER". Many of their friends joined them to record the two albums, which were completed in a single day, and the album is so full of killer songs that they proclaim it their best work ever. Both albums are positioned as the 4th album, with "Undertow" meaning "undertow" and "Comber" meaning "incoming wave," and the songs on both albums have a direction that is in line with each album. |

Search | Add | 8 | Jimmy Reeves Jr. | Blues singer and guitarist, who recorded an LP for Chess/Checker in Chicago, Illinois, in 1970. It's not easy to find info about Jimmy Reeves Jr. The following article sheds some light on the album - "One other session [from Walter Horton] that merits attention from this period is a Chess LP done under the name of guitarist Jimmy Reeves Jr., who as his name alludes, was a young Jimmy Reed lookalike and soundalike, complete with a photograph of rack mounted harmonica around his neck. The session was a straight Willie Dixon affair that featured a few Reed titles and a lot of Willie's songbook. Fortunately, M.T. Murphy was the lead guitarist and Shakey [Walter Horton] performed some outstanding sympathetic backing in tandem with pianist Lafayette Leake or Sunnyland Slim. Reeves Jr., the star of the session, was relegated to vocals. This session appeared only briefly on vinyl, then disappeared presumably due to poor sales, and a lingering aftertaste of bad Jimmy Reed clones that had exhausted their market attraction. This type of session is a good example of how a mediocre artist (Reeves Jr.) can be rescued from oblivion by a good backing group, a task that Walter Horton handled measurably, several times during his career". - from http://www.ilpopolodelblues.com/bman/horton.html

Search | Add | 8 | Sandro Lúcio | Brazilian singer. Born in São Mateus in the extreme north of Espirito Santo and since childhood, he has lived in the Vale do Jurigão in the southern state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, where he lived his childhood and adolescence, Sandro Lúcio, who began his career in 1971 as a singer romantic brega. And it was precisely in the midwestern region, where the career of the singer Sandro Lúcio was born, predominating in the cities of Rondonópolis, Paranatininga and Pedra Preta. It was in Rondonópolis in the state of Mato Grosso where he moved very early with his parents and his 8 brothers, who Sandro Lúcio sang for the first time in a station of Radio. In São João in 1971 he sang live for the whole of Amazonia, direct from the studios of Rádio Amorim Juventude AM, when he was part of the trio "Parrot Parrot and Mangabão", formed with his two brothers Mateus and Moacyr. Sandro Lucio was the Mangabão. The singer remembers that the trio was formed by the influence of the longed [a=Trio Parada Dura] that was very successful in the 70's in the southern states and midwest of the country. But only in 1984, Sandro Lúcio decided to dissolve the partnership that maintained with his brothers and took his solo career for Brazil. Today, with 28 recorded albums, he recorded his first live DVD on Saturday, April 14, 2007 in Praça Castelo Branco, downtown Itamaraju. Already Sandro Lúcio makes a beautiful reflection saying that Itamaraju gave him life in his new professional phase from the year 2000, and found it more than fair to choose the city to fulfill his greatest dream. The singer Sandro Lúcio was reborn musically in Bahia, through the musical entrepreneur Aroldo Neves, owner of Aroldo Neves Produções, a company specialized in promotions of artistic shows, that in 1999 began to entrepreneur the singer especially in the northeast. But it was from the beginning of the year 2000 that Sandro Lúcio exploded musically with great successes, realizing about 200 shows per year. Bahia and Maranhão are the states where the singer's shows are most requested. Only in Paraná, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and Amapá, Sandro Lúcio has not yet performed.

Search | Add | 8 | Osmi Putnik Dva | Osmi Putnik Dva (Serbian translation for the cult horror classic Aliens; Also there is rumour going that they’ve called themselves this way to make fun of the hard rock Croatian band Osmi Putnik) are also known under these aliases 8pII, Osmi Putnik 2, Osmi putnik drugi deo, 8P2, Osmi Putnik II. Band was founded in 1998 in Belgrade, Serbia, and very soon they have gained the reputation of one of the fastest bands on the hardcore/metal scene. 2000 saw the band release it’s first album titled Kerber je mama (this time they made fun of famous Serbian hard rock band Kerber in the title of the album. “Kerber Is Awesome”) Since then they have released 4 more albums (Drugi Album in 2002, 8PII in 2003, KRVAVI PIR in 2005 and last one Treća Sofra was released in 2007.) They are well known for their speedy thrashing riffs and almost too loud to bear music onslaught all packed just in a few minutes in all of their songs, their lyrical themes are always about the horror movies and the creatures from them and also about black humour. Almost all of their shows are always full of rowdy headbanging and moshing maniacal fans. Osmi Putnik Dva shared stages with Napalm Death, FullsizE, Hitman, Šaht and many more domestic and foreign bands. 2008 saw the band mark their 10th year anniversary by playing 3 hour sets of their complete discography with small pauses in between them.

Search | Add | 8 | Marcel Kociolek | Marcel C. Kociolek | Marcel C. Kociolek is a German composer, music producer, remixer and record label owner, who started making own electronic music in the early 1990s. He made his first musical steps at the end of the 80s on a turntable. Few years later he added some hardware like a computer and a sampler to his setup. This configuration has been expanded over the years to a small MIDI recording studio. His productions between 1992 and 2002 can be assigned to the classic Techno and Trance genre. Some Hard House and Hardcore Techno tracks were also created during this period of time. But most of the songs have not been released commercially. Since 2010, after some years of musical abstinence and the subsequent setup of his new digital music studio, Marcel is focusing on commercial Electronica releases under several project names (most known: Noom Café). His current music style is a blend of Downtempo (Chillout, Ambient) but also of darker and deeper sounds like House (Deep-, Electro-, Progressive-, Tech) and Minimal Techno. Since 2012 Marcel's songs have been released on numerous record labels like Elux Records (formerly Elektrolux), Clear-Cut-Records, Hero In My Hood, Chilled Beats Records, Pink Revolver and Sony Music. |

Search | Add | 8 | UFe | If you ask him about his love for music, UFe is a man of few words. But, then again, any artist speaks through his means of artistic expression. In his case, UFe manifests himself as an explosion of diverse musical influences and genres that create a unique style which resists easy categorization. From the ancestral rhythms of Africa and the tropical sounds of Latin America, to the jazz and funk breaks that made the foundation of hip hop, plus some of the electronic music currently enjoying a vogue, many elements have helped shape his style into an admirably eclectic music. He blends this vastly diversified repertoire into his own sound and expresses it into his own idiom with imaginative synthesis that makes the listening a vigorous and exciting experience. UFe is also an accomplished producer, experiments with percussion and is currenly inloved in live projects such as Kosmic Blues and Groove Hug.

Search | Add | 8 | Aaron "White Owl" Collins | Aaron Collins | White Owl (Aaron Collins) was born and raised in Queens, New York. Growing up in a household surrounded by music (his mother and father both played a bit of guitar and piano in the folk music scene in the early 60's) White Owl naturally took to playing music at a very early age. By age 13 he played classical piano fluently. At age 14, fueled by a love for heavy music, he started playing bass guitar under the guidance of his older brother -[a2120422]- who played electric guitar. Together they formed the backbone of what would become the early 90's rock group [a294972] (Elektra Records), and by age 18 White Owl was touring the U.S. and playing shows to large crowds in major cities. After a short life-span, the group White Trash broke up, and White Owl went on to join forces with the legendary hardcore band [a461820]. Touring extensively with Lord Ezec (aka Danny Diablo) and Co. is where White Owl acquired his nickname. After recording and touring with the also legendary hardcore band [a343332] for a brief stint, White Owl decided to exchange the bass for the mic, and as he says, "put my lyrics to the test". Although White Owl had earned his keep as a rock bass player, his truer love was writing poetry and lyrics. After taking a short break from the music scene in general, White Owl decided to record some beat-oriented, hip-hop style music, without the use of a "rock" group, which was a departure from his usual mode of operation. Collaborating on the beats with Damian Burnz, and acquiring some underground street legends (Danny Diablo, Jess Jamez, and Hesher) to add some flavor to the tracks, White Owl finally released his self-produced, 7-song CD "All Or None" on his own indie label (Gotham Gold Music Productions) in the spring of 2007. The original [a294972] members reunited and reformed band in 2007 and released a new album (3D Monkeys in Space) shortly thereafter. As of 2012, White Trash continues to play exciting live shows in the U.S. and is planning to release more material in the near future. |

Search | Add | 8 | Teclados Fritos | Rock group emerged in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain) in 1976. Since its inception they became a clear reference of the frenetic musical activity that was forged in the Islands in the second half of the seventies of the twentieth century. During their first two years they practiced a symphonic / progressive rock with extensive instrumental passages and when they sang, they did it in English. Also its image and staging was groundbreaking for the time, which attracted a lot of attention from the Spanish specialized media as it was a group that was not based in the Iberian Peninsula. Rock, Glam and Sicodélica were marking the evolution of their musical proposal. His recordings never did justice to his sound on stage. In the early 80's they decided to move to Madrid to cement their trajectory and look for new opportunities. But the Madrid stage of Teclados Fritos was not the springboard they expected. The music scene in Madrid was in full metamorphosis towards the New Wave and the Spanish Punk, later called "La Movida" and could not find their space despite being converted as a group in the Besos Rabiosos. They finally dissolved.

Search | Add | 8 | Sherbet Underground | Sherbet Underground were founded on the New Year’s Eve of 1991 by Antal Geza and Aleksandar Petrovic Mechka. The duo initially tried to play in the line-up of just vocal and guitar, with computer-programmed drum & bass matrix. On their first concert, in April of 1992, few other musicians joined them – Takacs Tibor Faki on clarinet, Dejan Cemerlic Cemerla on trumpet and Zvonko Saric, a guest who spoke his poetry... The band held a dozen concerts, with occasional guest appearance of Dr.Fuzz's whatthe guitar -- the hand-made effects of "dubing" sound. Due to technical inability to perform normal concerts in times of monetary inflation, the band produced self-proclaimed "sound engineers" who, in their arrogance, stupidity and ignorance, failed to solve the “enigma", so Geza and Mechka finally decided to introduce "live" rhythm section…
