One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Davidson, Sr. | James "Jaime" Alexander Davidson, Sr. (a/k/a “Gringo ‘The Original'”), according to his new autobiography entitled, "Visionary: Rise and Fall of the Reggaeton Man...Fame Comes at a Steep Price", is the “ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF THE CULTURE OF REGGAETON then known as "Reggae in Spanish", “recorded in Brooklyn, New York with his Dancehall Reggae team called “BABYQUAKE HI-POWER" is a Panamanian artist who preceded El General and Nando Boom, being "the only Panamanian” in the HEART OF THE DANCEHALL REGGAE of the early 80’s, singing for ”EARTHQUAKE HI-POWER “and in 1984 starting his own sound system of music known as “BABYQUAKE HI-POWER” representing all of Latin America with the “great power of the Panamanian culture” against other sounds who were playing their music--countries and cultures such as: Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad, Grenada, Canada, England and America, etc.., to name some, in a non-competing numbers and / or very intense innovative music. In 1985 with the grace of God, Babyquake's first live clash to promote the culture of Hip-Hop/Reggae called “LADI-DADI-MEETS-SLIM Thing” at the Sunset Club Paradise on Flatbush and Caton Avenue was a win for the sound system. In 1986, their victory was repeated in the Biltmore Ballroom winning the No. 1 place to represent the whole area of Flatbush against the 4 best teams in Dancehall Reggae in that area during that time. The General and Nando Boom followed me to New York to work with Jamaican producers, Carl Miller of VP Records in Jamaica, Queens and Carlton “Rohan” Barrett of SuperPower Records in Brooklyn, New York. The ground was “VERY WELL PAVED” by my “SACRIFICES AND RESPECT IN THE STAGE OF DANCEHALL REGGAE” The Jamaican and American public, etc., “ACCEPTED THE REGGAE IN SPANISH” that evolved like any other music to REGGAETON! where the public was saying, “I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE (GRINGO / JAIME RANKS, in the 80’s), is saying, but it sounds good!” In 1991, Jaime Ranks was successful in a competition with another team called "Nuclear Atomic Hi-Power" with Shaggy (aka Mr. Boombastic) and other BabyQuake artists: Screechie Dan, James Bond, Coolie Ranx; and the late Louie Ranks who was famous from his hit, “TYPEWRITER”. (He was known to many as “OX” on American movie called “Belly”). Hip-Hop's Naz and DMX were there to witness this victory. Back then, the majority of Jaime's songs were written in English and Spanish. Jaime recorded the first songs mixed with Reggae, Hip-Hop, Calypso, Merengue, Salsa, Dancehall Reggae, and Christmas music (with: Henry Hierro, Henry Castro and Ledesma). Producers like Mr. Doo (famous for the success of Coco Tea “Rikers Island”) and Orlando Lee (who traveled from Panama, leaving his business to the World Music Distributor USA to record my production, “DONDE LO CONSEGUISTE”. This song was the inspiration for the culture of Reggaeton. My first CD was completed in Kingston, Jamaica, January 1992, signed with J & N Records (Juan And Nelson) and Sony Discos. Every time someone suggests that Reggaeton was born in Puerto Rico and/or other countries, those suggestions would fall rather quickly once Jaime explains the “Review of the ‘DNA'” of the album's two original tracks. Reggaeton was born in Brooklyn, New York--“GRAN PODER DE LA CULTURE DE PANAMA!" These two tracks are: TRAILER LLENO DE GUIALES (Gringo “The Original”) and "Vengo Caliente". "Vengo Caliente" was by Gringo The Original's artist, Tito “The Town Crier,”. Jaime co-wrote and trained the singer to rap right in the recording studio at the time of recording. "We made an enormous contribution to the music industry with a new genre," Jaime stated. In an exciting turn of events, Jaime "El Gringo Original" Davidson's prison sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump in Trump's last day at the White House. Jaime is currently working very hard on causes which he has championed while he was incarcerated and getting a crash course of how the world has changed in the last 29 years! The artists also often use [i]stochastic system of composition[/i]—a mathematical approach invented by a Greek composer [a32202] in the early 1950s. The band's first two albums were both eponymous: a limited-edition [r=8462007] LP, self-released in May 2016, and [r=11939094] CD which came out in June 2018 on an Italian independent label [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/108277]Auand Records[/url]. This second release, mastered by [a=Rashad Becker] at D+M Berlin, featured slightly more refined production and polished sound. In February of 2019, to coincide with their first Japan tour, TRRMÀ released a third album, [r=14904740]. Limited edition CD came in a handmade silkscreened cover with Japanese liner notes. The band also collaborated with a renowned American avant-garde composer and pianist [a=Charlemagne Palestine]. In November 2018, he performed at the 33rd edition of [i]Times Zones Festival[/i] in Bari. Times Zones is one of the oldest Italian music festivals, held in Trrmà's hometown annually since 1986. Giovanni and Giuseppe, both Palestine admirers, asked organizers to put them in touch with the eccentric composer. Eventually, they recorded two sessions, fusing together TRRMÀ's stochastic compositions and Palestine's "bombastic" piano and electronics. The limited-edition [r=14339206] LP was released in Oct 2019 on a French label [l=Be Coq]. In May 2020, a Brooklyn-based [l=577 Records] released TRRMÀ's latest album, recorded back in October 2019 at [l1035914] in Terlizzi, and again mastered by Becker at D&M. | |

El mundo del cante flamenco le empezó a atraer más en su adolescencia, a la edad de 12 años, añadido también a la idea de componer gracias a su ídolo, también amigo Ricardo Gabarre Clavería, más conocido como Junco que le impulsó con su apoyo emocional a entrar en este mundo. En el trágico año 2020, Alex Escot empieza a componer ‘’Aún Sigues En El Recuerdo’’ el disco que cambia su carrera al completo entre 2021 cuando empezaria a sacar los respectivos Singles del mismo y el 29 de abril de 2022 cuando después de una larga espera lanzaba al mercado, su primer LP. Este álbum al completo cuenta con ocho temas, seis de ellos escritos y compuestos al completo por el mismo, añadido a 2 de ellos compuestos por otros dos grandes artistas. Uno de ellos, ‘’Ingobernable’’ compuesto y escrito por el gran autor madrileño Antón Alvarez más conocido como C. Tangana y la tercera del disco ‘’Ay, Humanidad!’’ que su letra está escrita por su gran amigo sevillano Carmelo Marín Reyes. Arrasa en ventas en formato de CD, Pendrive y en digital. En el trabajo discográfico también se encuentran los que por ellos en el verano de 2021 su éxito impacta más fuerte con los dos primeros singles de ‘’Aún Sigues En El Recuerdo’’ que fueron ‘’Tú Fuiste Mala’’ y ‘’Lourdes, La Fuerte’’, los dos con Videoclips que arrasaron de éxito en Youtube y plataformas sobretodo este último que a día de hoy entre todas las plataformas suma más de 300.000 reproducciones. Nos situamos después de todo en el año 2023, un año de buenos y grandes cambios en la carrera de Alex Escot, cuando después de un gran desarrollo y tiempo empapándose en mucho cante estrena la gira 2023 de su último trabajo acompañado de grandes músicos como Tati Amaya, Miranda Fernández y Dany Cubero. Junto a esto, también empieza con el proceso creativo y pensar en un próximo disco, el cual todavía no le ponemos título ni cara, pero ahí está en el aire esperando. Un proyecto del que se habla muy distinto al anterior con otra visión y otro enfoque, más ambicioso, más jondo, más polifacético y donde luchará por acercar mucho más el Flamenco jondo a la juventud junto a grandes instrumentistas de talla mundial. |

El conjunto es fundado a principios de 1961 en Barcelona por el guitarrista Ramón Llenas Falcó y el cantante Jordi Vila. Junto a ellos, completan la formación Tony (contrabajo), Jordi (batería) y, con solo dieciséis años, Carlos (saxo alto y piano). Claro que el resto es también imberbe, pues los mayores tienen en ese momento dieciocho. Este grupo juvenil pasa todas las penurias de los debutantes, pero su guitarra, su contrabajo y su cantante llaman poderosamente la atención y pronto se convierten en rivales de Los Pájaros Locos, el conjunto de rock con más nombre en la Ciudad Condal. Los Mustang y Los Sirex aún eran poco más que proyectos. La referencia de Los Gratsons en su formación y repertorio eran probablemente los mejicanos Teen Tops, que enseñaron algo fundamental a los grupos de aquí: que era factible cantar rock and roll en español y que los instrumentistas más aplicados podían salir airosos del reto. El primer EP de Los Gratsons es puro rock and roll de los padres creadores. En octubre de 1962 aparece “Arráncalo / King Creole / Cuando los Santos Salen de Paseo / El Twist” (Iberofón, 1962). Es decir, una pieza de Little Richard -“Rit it up”-, otra de Elvis, el primigenio twist de Hank Ballard y una pieza popular a ritmo de cabalgada en 4 / 4. El disco les sirve para abrir mínimamente sus fronteras musicales y actúan en 1963 y 1964 en Mallorca, Menorca y Andorra, además de en Barcelona. Tony cambiará en uno de estos viajes su voluminoso contrabajo por un compañero más moderno y funcional: el bajo eléctrico. Aunque en sus directos, normalmente en salas y terrazas de baile, incluyen una buena tanda de temas lentos, a la hora de plastificar se tiran de cabeza al rock and roll. Así aparece su segundo EP: “Popotitos / Triste y Sola / Dinamita Twist / Ojos Negros, Cielo Azul” (Iberofón, 1963). Un disco presidido por el más famoso tema de los ya citados Teen Tops, que a su vez no era otra cosa que el “Bonnie Maronnie” de Larry Willians. En 1964 las modas mandan y Los Gratsons se alejan un tanto de sus orígenes para abrazar la balada de origen italiano y sobre todo el pujante beat británico. Su tercer EP mezcla ambos estilos: “Uno de Tantos / Please Please Me / Rezaré / Dulce Sabor” (Iberofón, 1964). Es decir, dos temas de procedencia beatle, uno de Ben E. King llegado seguramente a través de Adriano Celentano y una balada italiana de Joe Santieri que también había sido adoptada por Ben E. King. Con un intervalo de tiempo con el anterior menor de un mes aparece un nuevo disco: , un ecléctico repertorio en el que destacan los covers de dos nuevos grupos extranjeros que empezaban a pegar en España: Dave Clark Five y New Christy Minstrels, con “Glad all over” y “Green, green” respectivamente. El problema era la enorme competencia, pues otros muchos artistas grabaron también esos temas. Para el verano del 64 el grupo anda medio deshecho por culpa, como casi siempre, de la puta mili que tantas carreras musicales y de las otras truncó. Los Gratsons se rehacen para afrontar la nueva temporada con Joaquín, su nuevo batería, Jordi Vila, que además de cantar aprenderá a marchas forzadas a tocar el bajo, Carlos (saxo) y Ramón (guitarra y ocasional cantante). Este cuarteto publica a finales de aquel año “Jugando con Mi Corazón / Buena Suerte / Aquella Noche Fue / Hago Mal en Quererte” (Iberofón, 1964). Esas últimas grabaciones serán despiezadas en dos singles, que alcanzaron una difusión mucho mayor que el EP del que procedían. Especial mención para uno de estos dos sencillos, “Aquella Noche Fue / Buena Suerte” (Iberofón, 1964), encabezado por una digna versión del “A hard day’s night” de The Beatles. El grupo desapareció finalmente en 1965 y nunca ya se rehízo. Tan solo su guitarrista y principal impulsor, Ramón, siguió dedicado a la música hasta su fallecimiento, como guitarrista de jazz y músico de sesión. De la pléyade de conjuntos catalanes de la primera mitad de los 60, Los Gratsons son de los más olvidados, a pesar de las buenas versiones españolas que realizaron. Los servicios militares, la desaparición de Iberofón y el desinterés de Zafiro -que se quedó con su catálogo- hicieron el resto. Tampoco la historia se portó demasiado bien con ellos y nunca nadie reeditó sus viejas grabaciones, salvadas como casi siempre por coleccionistas anónimos. | |

During his early career Higginbottom played the circuit of folk clubs and pubs in his native northwest. In August 1985, he was placed third in a competition at the Warwick Folk Festival. In the November of the same year, he released Songs From The Levenshulme Triangle. The following year, he performed at the Sidmouth Folk Festival, and was subsequently re-booked for 1987 and 1988. This gave Higginbottom a wider profile, and brought club and festival bookings all over England. He has since ventured further afield, playing Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands. In addition to his musical career, Higginbottom has also made numerous appearances on UK television in bit parts, turning up in such soaps as Coronation Street, Brookside and Emmerdale, as well as a number of other productions. Flowers Tomorrow received a good response and brought Higginbottom to wider attention. The title track has been sung by a number of other performers, and the album as a whole mixed contemporary and traditional styles, with his guitar and bodhrán to the fore. More Than Pounds And Pence, released in December 1990 has helped to establish Higginbottom as a highly-regarded performer and writer. | |
