Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Scary Little Friends | Scary Little Friends is the rock brainchild of Chris Jones with Charlie Knote on drums and Jon Payne on bass. Chris built his own studio in the Mission district to record their debut album, “From the Beginning”, which featured lilting vocals (ala Jeff Buckley) and surfs-up psychedelic guitar, creating their own version of the “San Francisco Sound” with underlying southern soul roots. Strong songwriting is really the bread and butter of this band. Scary Little Friend’s live shows combine an understated professionalism with raw talent. They connect with their audience the old-fashioned way by offering authentic heartfelt performances that fulfill our desire to connect. No gimmicks or tricks, just great songs about what you were thinking but couldn’t say. Since forming in early 2013, the band has quickly risen in the ranks of the Bay Area music scene and was nominated “Band of the Month” by Deli Magazine SF (August 2014). In September of that same year their music video for “Devil’s Heart” debuted on CMT’s ‘The Edge’. They have been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle and Relix Magazine. They made a strong showing in their first year of playing festivals (2015), appearing at Phono del Sol, Whole Earth, Mateel Summer Arts & Music, VertigoFest and Davis Music. They’ve been featured at renowned Bay Area venues such as the Great American Music Hall, Chapel, Brick & Mortar Music Hall, Bottom of the Hill in SF, Rio Theatre, Moe’s Alley, Kuumbwa Jazz, Don Quixote’s in Santa Cruz and Leo’s Music Club, Harlow’s, HopMonk Tavern, Miners Foundry, Live at Lagunitas, plus Grateful Dead hubs Terrapin Crossroads and Sweetwater Music Hall. They have shared the stage with national touring acts Norah Jones, Delta Spirit, Boy & Bear, Chuck Prophet, Hey Rosetta!, The Dig, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, Streets of Laredo, Soft White Sixties, Achilles Wheel, Caravan Palace, Stone Foxes, Jimbo Mathus, Baptist Generals, Debauche, Jail Weddings, as well as the local up-and-coming Coffis Brothers and Terrapin Crossroads staple Midnight North. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Lars DK Nielsen | Danish keyboards player. The Modern Musical Tale of the Ugly Duckling … LarsDK was only 9 years old when he first threw his organ in Dad’s car and stayed driven to work. It was the start of several thousand jobs in Zealand assembly houses, sports halls and for town parties. There was no doubt in the young LarsDK’s musical mind which way he went should be alive … A life of music. Cut to many years later, when you almost can’t open a television program, turn on a radio or watch a concert without LarsDK. All of a sudden, things went strong from the assembly houses to the boned musicals floors. Burhan G, Rasmus Mountain’s John Mogensen Show, Rugsted & Kreutzfeldt, Stig Ross, and countless TV shows, just to name a few of them as callers LarsDK in. There is a picture of an incredibly versatile musician who knows his genres and manages to play music with heart. Speaking of heart … A late night time on the way home over the Great Belt Bridge led a talk with friend and colleague Bobo Moreno, for a mutual challenge; They should each especially, like dogma, the following week write 3 songs to kick each other in once again with the songwriting … and it helped! For Lars, the beginning of songwriting has been about breaking own boundaries. When one like him has been playing professionally since the age of 9, you have been paying attention many good songs and it may scare a little. But now the time was ripe to be brave and it opened to one, until now closed, musical lock… more than 50 songs toppled out of Lars, and now they are best selected so that Denmark can listen to LarsDK’s amazing songs. The lyrics are about children, family, boyfriends, marriage, parents, siblings, and ups & downs … in short; songs about growing and ending as an adult. The songs are written in a mood of westcoast, country, gospel and disco, and with very deep roots in the Danish pop tradition. The songs are hand-played by some of the very best musicians we have in the country and The North, and makes up today’s template music, in its “not hunting” on it fast hit. LarsDK is a fantastic pianist and a fabulous singer and he shows that fortunately on this album… closer does not come LarsDK. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | ex->tension | This is an LP collaboration with G.W. Bielski, who had lured me out of musical seclusion. Subsequently we brought my Ritual Tension band mates on board for some of the tracks. The Kiss is 9 tracks total and runs 35+ minutes. And I promise you, like many kisses, it may not be completely to your liking. In fact I think it has something to displease everyone! It’s a lot about the spoken word, lots of poetry, which should discourage most people. But if you’re a poetry purist, it has a lot of music too, and not very normal music either. It’s spooky in parts, pulsing in certain sections, weird ass shit altogether. If you’re into melody, well, there’s ‘noise,’ it’s ‘experimental.’ If you’re deeply into noise, there’s’ melody,’ and ‘singing.’ There’s even a beat in some of the songs, but not a lot, if you’re into beat. If you like stuff well-defined, this isn’t for you, either. If you’re a complete weirdo and into Ritual Tension, all members of the band are present, but collaborating on separate tracks, which is one reason it’s called ex->tension. Really only elements that are unequivocally high quality and pleasing are the cover art work by my bro Andrew Nahem, the soundscapes by Gregg, the contributions by my mates Marc Sloan, Michael Shockley and Andrew, and sound mastering by Scott Anthony. This is my first record release in more than a couple decades, and I’m kinda proud of it, and of my mates too. FYI: we’ll be putting it up on some streaming services and doing some live RECORD RELEASE gigs in the next few months, in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and NYC. See you there. Cheers. - Ivan Nahem Ritual Tension / ex->tension July 7th, 2017 | |

[a=Zak Boerger] joined on guitar and vocals and the trio started writing and practicing in earnest. This full-band version of Saint Jude's Day proved to be short-lived, however, when Kris left to pursue other endeavors. Zak and John continued, rehearsing a variety of originals, as well as covers by Gang of Four, the Rolling Stones, and The Who. After unsuccessful attempts to find a full-time bassist or second guitarist, it was decided in late 1997 to disband Saint Jude's Day after recording the completed originals. For the recording, [a=Mark Wilcox] of [a=Destroy!], [a=Impetus Inter], and [a=No Statik], amongst others, played bass. In 2004, Saint Jude's Day reconvened to record new material and play two shows. For this recording, in addition to Zak and John, [a=Scott Cook] of [a=Porcelain Boys], [a=Bombsite], and [a=The Ronnie Buxtons] played bass. Zak would go on to play in psyche-folk project [a=These Wonderful Evils].

| Search | Add | 2 | Rusty Chest | Nashville, TN based musician, songwriter, photographer, visual artist and designer. A third-generation Nashvillian, peacefully arrived in this trying world on the chilly morning of January 19 (Capricorn, with Gemini moon and Pisces rising) during the locally famous blizzard of 1951. A calm only-childhood, largely shaped by [l=Mad Magazine] drawings, folk and British Invasion records, and the practical and esoteric wisdom of his beloved grandmother, was enjoyed beneath tall Victorian ceilings in a pre-hipster, but eternally bohemian, East Nashville. Awarded for drawing by age ten, the young artist soon expanded to create Warhol inspired collages from cardboard, torn madras shirts, and Campbell's Soup can labels (an early attempt at conceptual art involved melting an entire deluxe set of Crayolas) and at age 14, after seeing [a=The Animals] and [a=The Rolling Stones] (with [a=Brian Jones (5)]), put aside his cheap acoustic guitar, bought a new Kent Japanese electric, and proceeded to learn how to arpeggiate through the chords of "The House of the Rising Sun". Earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1974, he maintained a high grade-point average while fully engaging in the demanding folkways of the era, and later attained a Degree in Art from the wonderful, traditional minded Harris School of Art in Franklin, Tennessee. Over 15 long years were spent as a freelance artist, creating advertising, record covers, and periodicals in the traditional pre-computer manner, using triangle and drawing board, for some of the city's largest (and smallest) ad agencies. Exhibited fine art photography in several shows, including a well-received solo exhibit at The Centennial Park Art Center in Nashville. All the photographs were created in the camera - never in the darkroom nor the computer. Played guitar, banjo, and clarinet for many years with The Perfumed Garden Cafe Orchestra, gathering and arranging traditional material for folk-jazz improvisation accompanying traditional belly dance. Following 45 years of songwriting, an album of all original tunes, [r9020104], was duly released in the spring of 2015. [r12187730], a second album of original songs, was released in the summer of 2018. | |
