Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Carlo Dani | Carlo Dani (1872/73?, Florence — after 1916) was an Italian operatic tenor known for his roles of "Duke" in Verdi's Rigoletto and "Edgardo" in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor. Debuting in 1894, he had a prolific career spanning over two decades and extensively toured worldwide, from Australia to South America. Carlo performed alongside many outstanding singers of his generation, such as [a=Titta Ruffo], [a=Marcella Sembrich], [a=Louise Homer], [a=Marcel Journet], and [a=Antonio Scotti]. Between December 1902 and April 1903, Carlo Dani sang with [a=The Metropolitan Opera], appearing fourteen times at [l=The Metropolitan Opera House] in New York and giving several recitals on the Met's tour in Philadelphia, Boston, and Chicago. For his five-month contract, the singer earned $4,100 (over $140,000 in 2025 currency). The following season, [a=Enrico Caruso] took over most of Dani's roles. In January 1907, he made a series of phonograph recordings, released on 78 RPM shellac discs by [l=Fonotipia] (assembled and reissued on LP in the 1970s by the UK archival opera label [l=Rubini Records]). Many online sources, including Wikipedia, quote specific dates of his life, 1 October 1873 — 15 April 1944, claiming Carlo Dani was a professional cyclist before engaging in opera. According to his "Historical Tenors" biography, Florence city archives confirmed the existence of two Carlo Dani's, born in 1872 and 1873 — responding to Roberto Marcocci, an independent opera expert and gramophone records collector. According to the "ProCyclingStats" online database, the athlete Carlo Dani competed at a high level, finishing 3rd in the "Men Elite" category in 1893 national road race championships — merely a year before Dani the tenor debuted on stage. As simultaneously excelling in equally demanding fields of professional sports and academic music for a 20-year-old person is relatively improbable, it's likely the cyclist and opera vocalist were namesakes. (Curiously, Marcocci's website "La Voce Antica," quoted by HistoricalTenors.net, only provides an approximate DOB and never mentions inquiries to the City of Florence; moreso, it further reproduces "'bilateral' cycling-and-singing career" rumours.) | |

| Search | Add | 2 | La Más Fina | La Más Fina was an alternative rock band from Barcelona, Spain, which formed in 1994 and disbanded in 2000. The band performed in prominent venues and events, such as the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona and Plaça del Rei, as part of BAM (Barcelona Acció Musical) in 1998, garnering favourable press coverage in Catalan and Spanish publications, including El País, L'Avui, Mondo Sonoro, and Rock de Lux. The eclectic style of La Más Fina was inspired by the instrumental mesmerising explorations from the Chicago's post-rock band Tortoise, which were creatively combined with other music genres such as tango and bossa nova, among others. La Más Fina was one of the pioneering bands of the post-rock scene in Catalonia and Spain as documented in Ugo Fellone Pérez (2022) "El post-rock en España: genealogía de sus parámetros musicales y discursivos", PhD thesis, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Brian Odlum | Brian Odlum is an American electronic music composer currently residing in Spain. Brian studied violoncello at Lewis & Clark College. He graduated in 1971 in performance, and shortly after successfully auditioned for a chair in the Oregon Symphony. For the next decade Brian earned his living playing in the orchestra and teaching cello students. During that time he learned to play pedal-steel guitar, constructed one of the world's first solid-body electric cellos, and returned to the university to earn a degree in computer science. Many years would pass before technology (both software and hardware) would be capable of what Brian envisioned accomplishing. Eventually it did catch up with his imagination, and he began his career as a composer. Only a handful of Brian's works are intended to be realizable by performing musicians. The majority are conceived as playable only by the computer. | |

They played with national & international acts such as The Mark of Cain, Shihad, Grinspoon, Nitocris, Strapping Young Lad (Canada), Henrys Anger & Alchemist to name a few. Distributed through MDS on DC records their debut EP received a lot of attention. They were featured as the band of the month', appearing on the front cover of the French music magazine Planet Hard'. The full length of their EP was played on Triple J's Three Hours of Power', & airplay over local stations such as 2SER. They were also included on the Triple J compilation album Thirteen'. Crane No.6 went their separate ways early in 1998. So this is where they are now, Jason Brown (bass/vocals), Jason Schellhorn (guitar/vocals) & Brother Gary Schellhorn (drums) formed in September 98'. By January 99' they had recorded all of their pre-production, which by August 99' would become their debut EP spins you', released through P.O.P. & distributed by MGM. Recorded at Velvet Sound Studios' Sydney over 4 days & mastered by Steve Smart at Studio 301. The 4 track EP features a unique concept developed by the band called A.V. (audio vision.) It offers something a little different for people while still maintaining the potent presence of all the music. The shows they have started with have proven to be very ambitious so far, while opening for Monster Magnet, a sold out show at the Metro in Sydney, the Testeagles, Insurge, Dogbouy, Tumbleweed, Jebediah, Area 7, The get up kids(USA), Scream Feeder, loki, Nunchukka Super Fly, Thumlock, Rollerball, Segression, Fresh Fabrik from Hungary and many other local bands throughout Sydney, Costa Zouliou of Triple J's Three Hours of Power' has been giving the EP plenty of airplay as with many other community & regional radio stations. Dropweight plan to tour with their EP spins you' throughout 2000. They will, as they are already, starting & finishing work on their next project, a debut album to be released midway through 2000. For a lot more information check out the website www.dropweight.com.au, Keep an ear out for the EP, the new sounds, the film clip to 'dan dan' as being played on MTV & Channel V, or better still, get along to see them live, you too will be caught up in all that is dropweight | |

Nel 2024 pubblicano ‘No Jazz. Omaggio a Natalino Otto’, nel 55° anniversario dalla sua scomparsa e in occasione dei cento anni della radio in Italia. |
