Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | My Escapade | My Escapade dates back to early 2007, where brothers Jason and Simon James began rehearsing in an abandoned school, in Burnie Tasmania, with comrades Chris van Tholen and Alan Forrest. The band soon started performing all around their home state, establishing their local fan base whilst developing their sound, live presence and recording their first demos. In 2010 the band left their island-state, basing themselves in Queensland, to strengthen ties with management and support the release of their debut EP Soul’s Reflection. This move also allowed for greater access to a larger variety of live music venues and a competitive independent music scene. Soul’s Reflection was globally released through digital distribution agent Musicadium, and is available on iTunes, Nokia Music and Amazon, as well as many other online music stores. Search | Add | 2 | Kosmische Boy | Dan Doughty | Kosmischeboy, or Dan Doughty as his mother prefers to call him, heralds from deepest darkest Lincolnshire. Inspired by various leftfield electronic and avant garde artists KB has been making his own electronic music under various monikers since the mid 90’s. He has released two full length albums under the Kosmischeboy name, '1969 Eldorado' in 1998 and 'Clockwerk' in 2008. A third album entitled 'Kollectiv' is due in 2014. Albums can be found at: http://kosmischeboy.bandcamp.com/ KB is also a founding member of multimedia collective "Quiddity" with long time collaborator Gribbles. An electronic project described as "Fluke meet Underworld in a Warpy face off". They have released two albums so far, "Broadening" (in 2010) and "Aether Songs" (in 2013) which can be found at: http://quiddity.bandcamp.com/ Over the years Kosmischeboy has worked with other musicians both in a production role and as a performer. Past collaborations include the Dan Donovan CD "The Hexx The Ghears" (Produced by Gav Monaghan) and the krautrock/electronica collective "ProjectBlueBook". 2010 saw Kosmischeboy join forces with both Temple Music and Orchis as synth player and laptop musician, and feature on several recordings released since then. He has performed with both bands all over Europe throughout 2010/13 including an appearance at the legendary WGT Festival in Leipzig, Germany, adding his distinctive electronic edge to their Neo Folk/ Krautrock soundscapes. 2011 also saw Kosmischeboy as a winner of the yearly :Wumpscut: remix competition, with his remix of the track 'Grobian' featuring as a bonus download for the 'Women and Satan First' Boxset. 2012 saw Kosmischeboy perform at the Supernormal festival in Oxfordshire as part of Black Tempest's Space Opera, a second appearance with Black Tempest followed in 2013 at the Woolf Music festival. 2013 saw Kosmischeboy resurrect his collaboration with punk poet Eaglespits, and several UK tour dates over the Summer as Eaglespitshexx. Recording sessions also took place and these will be released in early 2014. |

Search | Add | 2 | Eddie Carmel | Eddie Carmel (March 16, 1936 – August 14, 1972) was an entertainer with gigantism and subsequent acromegaly resulting from a pituitary adenoma. Popularly known as "The Jewish Giant", Carmel was billed at the height of 8 ft 9 in (268 cm) tall, though he may have more realistically been around 7 ft 6 ¾ in tall. At the time of his death at age 36, he had shrunk 6 ¾ inches, due to kyphoscoliosis (curvature of the spine, a mixture of scoliosis, and kyphosis, meaning hunchback). Carmel was born in Tel Aviv, to Jewish migrants Itzack and Miriam Carmel. He moved to the Bronx with his parents when he was a child. He was made famous by photographer Diane Arbus' picture Jewish Giant, taken at Home with His Parents in the Bronx, NY in 1970. Due to his condition, his primary work was in carnival sideshows including appearances at Hubert's Museum in Times Square and a few films such as 50,000 B.C. (Before Clothing) (1963), and The Brain That Wouldn't Die (1962).

Search | Add | 2 | Shaun Ward Xperience | They say that music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be truer for this musical prodigy. Born son of jazz violinist Michael Ward, he naturally gravitated to violin at the age of 3, beginning a professional music career at the age of 9. Throughout the course of his career, his soulful touch on the violin has won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. His creativity flourishes on stage not only as a solo performer and bandleader, but also as a music director, having served as MD for BET Music Matters Artists' Ashley Kimbrae, and The Rap Pack; appearing on 106&Park and The BET Experience at LA Live, to backing R&B Crooners such as RL of "NEXT", and Calvin Richardson. This talented musician has earned the admiration and affection of critics and fans alike. His universal appeal has allowed him to travel both domestically and internationally on Jazz, Blues, and R&B Tours, opening for artists such as R.Kelly, Anthony Hamilton, Carl Thomas, K.Michelle, Tyrese. Still, Shaun knows the story of the underdog all too well, "There's no greater feeling I get than when someone new sees my violin, wondering what could I do with it, until I play those first few notes and make it sing!" Choosing to walk his own path, Shaun is on a mission to use his platform to show the next generation how to embrace what makes them unique.

Search | Add | 2 | Zen Bow | Zenbar Bennett | here’s Zen Bow’s interview regarding his childhood in Jamaica, his musical experiences and, well, how he got that name… Enjoy! ******* Zenbar, where are you from in Jamaica? I grew up in Falmouth, parish of Trelawny, Jamaica. Same place than the Twinkle Brothers… Exactly. We’re from the same block. I used to listen to them, Ralston, Norman… But they were older than us. Were you already singing as a youth? I was singing back in Jamaica among a group called Righteous Roots, small local band. But then moved to the US in my early twenties and did I some work -then I went back into the singing. Why did you pick Zen Bow for a name? I thought that was after the book Zen Bow, Zen Arrow. OK. Zen Bow was given me by my teacher. I used to love writing, I love to write. I had a pen pal back in Jamaica that instead of putting ‘Zenbar’ on his envelopes, he put ‘Zenbow’, so my class started calling me Zen Bow. So how did Zen Bow got his break in the reggae scene in the US? First thing I did in 1985 was to attend a talent shows where I lived, in Hartford CT. It was for reggae artists in town, I can’t remember exactly its name, it wasn’t broadcast. It was just a little thing to bring out the artists in Hartford. It was more of a talent search. I came second but caught the ear of the people in that band called Crucial, and they asked me to join. At first I said, “not really”’cause I didn’t want to take away the leadership of the band. But I went listen to them and I liked what I heard, and they liked what they heard from me. So I joined, and we started to play around, you know, in places like in NYC, Rhode Island, Boston, year round. Jimmy Swing played lead guitar. There was a big bass player called Jimmy Rankin, “Big Bassie”. And you have Snow White on drums. We didn’t do no recording. We did live shows, that was they used to do before, cover songs, but since I joined the band, I always do the writing so I’d bring forward new material to the band. So Impression was pretty much the first tune you recorded? Yes. Now this song was inspired by an incident that took place in Hartford on a Sunday afternoon. Something went down and they started to say, you know, ‘rastaman did that, and Jamaicans did that’, and so, it kind of put a damper on the surrounding of dreadlocks and Jamaicans. So I became aware of the impression that we’re bad. And that was all how the song came about. It was an incident that I don’t wanna talk about -a shooting incident. Certain people did it and certain group of people did it. That was it so I decided to pen it into a song. You recorded its instrumental with Crucial? Yeah they’re the same band, Crucial. And then you called your label Gramps, why is that? Gramps was the lead singer for the group I was in back in Jamaica, Righteous Roots. His real name is David Robinson, he has a band in Milwaukee now called Road Damage. So for me to pay him tribute, I used his name, Gramps. The other recorded tune of yours I know is Black and Beautiful with King Culture. King Culture, yeah ! Someone told me about him for distribution in Canada. We spoke on the phone and we did some transaction and he distributed for me, then he proposed me to record, but I did my own production on this one too. I did another tune called Auction Block, but that didn’t go nowhere. That tune is saying that I’ve seen my stock rise and I’ve seen my stock fall cause I was a slave. And in America it seemed like I was controlled by a remote. I released it but it didn’t go nowhere. And I just did it for myself. I mean it came out but it didn’t go nowhere, I sold maybe 100 copies of it. How many copies of Impression did you press? I mean, over a thousand only. Cause it was underground, independent. Did you stop producing after that? No, I was still producing but for myself. Cause it takes money. Not time, cause I had time but I didn’t have the money. At that time when my kind of songs was coming out, people weren’t that much into the culture rasta music, they were more in the punaany business. So I kind of got stuck in mid-stream. Mid-80s was a different kind of music coming about. |

Search | Add | 2 | DJ Phat Fingerz | New York City Born July 4th, he's a Producer, Writer, and Arranger. Owner of a full Digital Recording Studio, were he does all of his work, he has recently finished a couple of albums which are in stores now. And in case some of you are wondering where the name FINGERZ came from, here goes. "I was once laying down a complicated keyboard sequence for a friend" he saids, "and he took a look at my hands and yelled, "You Go, Fingers!" And the rest, as they say, is history". Fingerz' first opportunity to perform professionally came in the movie, EASTSIDE STORY. His group, Boyz In The Lab had a featured track titled "Fragile Heart". While on the set, Fingerz was reunited with friends well known in the music industry such as: Little' Louie Vega, Marc Anthony , and India, just to name afew. In 1990, Fingerz did release a single on his friends label, Brewster Records titled "Nightmares of Tomorrow" which became Free Style Classic of the Month in Pennsilvania the following year. His old partner, and friend, enjoyed the performing side of the business so, that he became one of the lead singers of the internationally known group, The Barrio Boyzz. Fingerz loved the creative side and continued his writing and producing throughout the years. In 1995, Fingerz had a couple of projects credited to his name. One was as writer of "Don't Turn Our Love Away" by Lorenzo D'Lan. And another as Additional Editor of Clear touch's latest album on Mic Mac Records. Recently, Brewster records released a compilation CD which features "Nightmares of Tomorrow" which was written, produced, and recorded by Mr. Felix (PHAT FINGERZ) Colon. Fingerz is currently working on a couple of REGGAE/HIP HOP projects and a REGGAE CD that will be released on his own label, Finger Cell Music. "Reggaeton Platinum", is In Stores Now!
