Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Aaron Dizzy | Ohio-based new wave band active from 1976-1986, 2001-2005 and 2007. Brainchild of [a=Robert Runyeon], vocalist, guitarist, and chief songwriter, who started the band in 1976 with drummer [a=Randall Owens] out of a homemade studio in West Carrollton. In August 1977, all their equipment, including six guitars and six and a half years of mastered tapes, were stolen. It took almost two years to recoup their losses from the theft. The band eventually returned to recording in a friend's studio soon after the theft, where during this session they met [a=Jeffrey Tutt], who then became their keyboardist, and later, a vocalist as well. In 1979, three of their tracks (given the collective name "Looking For A Planet") were submitted, unbeknownst to the band, by the engineer from the recording session to WEBN-FM for their fourth [l=WEBN Album Project] compilation, and subsequently pressed ([r=3022666]). The back cover dubs the composition as "one of the most creative and compelling ever entered in Album Project competition". In March 1979 they appeared as part of a public television special on local talent, sponsored by WEBN-FM. It was this year that guitarist [a=Mike Dowden (2)] (now deceased) joined the group. On March 12, 1980, they would appear on music show "Rock Around The Block", performing an hour long set. In September 1980, Dennis Rich, a longtime friend of Runyeon's, acted as manager for the band as well as a part-time lyricist. In 1981/1982, Runyeon and Tutt recorded a five-track demo cassette to be sent to A&M Records ([r=15235088]), in one of many attempts to secure a contract. Unfortunately this was not successful. In May 1982, Owens left the band to become a drummer for Zummo, as did Mike Dowden to become guitarist of [a=Bramble (2)]. The last mention of the band (which was by this time either just a solo outlet for Runyeon or a duo with Tutt) was a show at the 1-Stop in Dayton on February 22, 1986. A website, aarondizzy.com, was first started in July 2001, announcing many upcoming projects, including live performances slated for autumn 2001 (which were postponed) as well as new music being released. This website would stay up until mid-2004. In February 2002, Runyeon (under the name Aaron Dizzy), began performing with an ensemble, the Aaron Dizzy All-Starz. The All-Starz consisted of Jeffrey Tutt, Heather Tutt-Robinson, Ann Dodson, Al Hidalgo, Tim McIntosh, Chad Robinson, Ira Stanley, Sal Salaz, Kerrie Van Wagnor, Larry Vest, and Anya. The band's first full album, titled "Cozmic Consequence" was released in early March 2002, under the name "a . k . a . aaron". This iteration of the band continued to perform sporadically until 2005. They performed once again in April 2007 at the open house of the Playhouse Entertainment Complex, which Runyeon owns. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Mariano Marovatto | Mariano Marovatto | Mariano Marovatto is a writer, musician, and cultural researcher. He is the author of A guerra invisível de Oswald de Andrade (The Invisible War of Oswald de Andrade, Todavia, 2023), as well as Estirâncio (2019), Inclusive, aliás (2015), Casa, and Vinte e cinco poemas (Twenty-Five Poems, co-authored with Chico Alvim). As a musician, he has released the albums Selvagem (2016), Praia (2013), and Aquele amor nem me fale (2010), among other recordings, all available on streaming platforms. His work with literature also involves genetic criticism, the organization of literary archives, and the editing of previously unpublished works. He curated the archive of poet and songwriter Cacaso at the Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa, and conducted the research for unreleased material and textual establishment of Poética by Ana Cristina Cesar. He also edited Os fantasmas inquilinos by Daniel Jonas, Doutor Caneta by Cacaso, and the Brazilian edition of Silence by John Cage. In 2022, he recovered Dia garimpo, a poetic work by Julieta Barbara, published by Círculo de Poemas. In his musical research, genetic criticism merges with music criticism, as explored in his book Legião Urbana: As quatro estações. His work also includes the study of sound archives and audiovisual production: from 2009 to 2016, he wrote and hosted the music television program Segue o Som (Follow the Beat) on TV Brasil. His complete body of work is available at marovatto.org. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Moritz Majce | Moritz Majce | An artist born in Vienna, living and working in Berlin and Vienna. While studying art and philosophy he began exploring the potentials of a dynamisation of the relationship of artwork and viewer. He developed the ”solo action”, a format between exhibition and performance, in which the spectator perspective as being opposite is dissolved into a point of view that is itself part of the artwork. With reference to ancient beginnings of the viewing dispositive of European art and theatre and a related partitioning of space that is still effective today, he pursues his research on sight and space with various means, from installation to sculpture, over performance and dance to photography and video. Together with Sandra Man he is working on an artistic practice that is based on the conception of space as happening, which incorporates the bodies and senses of the audience. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Flatline Transmissions | Flatline Transmissions were an electro-industrial project by [a666125] and [a819529] of [a74423], which in 2004 had gone on hiatus. Together they brought in [a1071058] on keys and Trajik on guitar, spending most of their time focusing on performing live. The group made one release - a demo EP produced by [a30479] of Meat Beat Manifesto in 2005. In May the same year Trajik left the band, leading to him being replaced by [a594624]. However, Mark went MIA in 2006 and Onyx took some time off performing, which meant The_Gun finding new members in Kitt Thompson (Drums) & [a1906417] (Bass) where the trio would change their style to a heavier less electronic feel. Plans were in place around that time to record more material, but none emerged. | |

In 1951, as part owner of WTAQ, he lamented that “most smaller stations in Chicago were catering to foreign language groups, each in its own language. Listeners had to switch from one to the other to hear their own particular ethnic group.” Russ’ idea was “to be the first INTERNATIONAL station in the Chicago area. We would not broadcast a single foreign word, everything would be in English, even words to the music.” That April, Russ launched a program of “nationality” music, calling it “Ole Tyme Jamboree.” The show was a popular and financial success for seven years, and Russ used the same approach and name for the record label he established around 1956. Over some three dozen issues, the “Ole Tyme Jamboree” label featured mostly dance music, with polkas, waltzes, pop standards and the occasional foreign word. | |
