Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Carl Moll Carl Julius Rudolf Moll Carl Julius Rudolf Moll (23 April 1861 – 12 April 1945) was an Austrian art nouveau painter active in Vienna at the start of the 20th century. He was one of the artists of the Vienna Secession who took inspiration from the pointillist techniques of French Impressionists. He was an early supporter of the Nazis and committed suicide as Soviet forces approached Vienna at the end of World War II. Moll was born in Vienna, Austria. He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. He was a student of Christian Griepenkerl and of Emil Jakob Schindler (the father of Alma Mahler-Werfel née Schindler). After his teacher's 1892 death, Moll married Schindler's widow, Anna (née von Bergen); they had been lovers for some time. Moll was a founder-member of the Vienna Secession in 1897 and, in 1903 encouraged the use of the Belvedere Gallery to show exhibitions of modern Austrian art. In 1905 he, along with Gustav Klimt, left the Secession, although Moll continued to be involved with the exhibition of art in Vienna including the first exhibition in Vienna of the work of Vincent van Gogh (the second painting above the sideboard in his 1906 self-portrait is Van Gogh's Portrait of the Artist's Mother). His paintings are characterized by the use of pointillist techniques within a strict organization of the surface of the painting. He committed suicide by poison at the end of World War II, in Vienna, along with his daughter Maria and son-in-law Richard Eberstaller, a Viennese lawyer. All three had been early Nazi Party supporters.

Search Add 2 Judgment JUDGMENT were a Thrash band formed in Cork around 1987 and eventually split around 1992/3. They played all over Ireland and had two releases... ‘Chemical Amusement Park’ and ‘Perfect Murder’. The band then changed tack and another couple of demos tracks were recorded in 1992 which took the band in a more mainstream direction. These tracks were never officially released and the band soon evolved into Mr. NSF… a sort of Alt/Funk/Rock outfit. A far cry from their Thrashy beginnings. Mr. NSF released an EP in 1993 called ‘Leave The Lies’ and another the following year called ‘Nobody’. Roll on another year and the band had evolved yet again. This time releasing another demo under the name ANASAZI. None of these later releases are Metal, but more Alt/Rock and mainstreem sounding. Some members moved to Australia and eventually and Oz/Irish band emerged called FOR ENEMIES OF REASON. One EP has been recorded and released to date. All the releases listed above have been made available for free download on Soundcloud. Link below…

Search Add 2 Lalo Wong Lalo knew that music was his thing when his father put at home the album 'Hollywood bowl live', of the Beatles in the house. "I fell in love with that album, I slept listening to it," he recalls, who at the time was 9 years old. That relic came to his home thanks to his father, Carlos Wong Silva, is a famous collector of LPs and LPs that has more than 300,000 record productions, which have been growing non-stop for forty-odd years, and the Municipality of Guayaquil valued in 2011 in 4 million dollars. The discovery of the British band literally caused Lalo to leave behind the Star Wars dolls that accompanied him as a child and replace them with their own LPs. It was then when he met Jimmy Hendrix, The Who, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Queen, Led Zeppelin ... He is an inveterate musician, formed in the late 70s and early 80s, who came to the stage thanks to his brother, Willy, when this was the drummer of the band Abraxas. There he was the manager for a while and the guitarist in another period. However, he was always struck by the bass. He was so worried about this that one day he stripped a wooden guitar from his strings and left only four strings so that it resembles his favorite instrument. Thus he practiced, in a self-taught way, with what he now modestly recognizes as "a good musical ear".

Search Add 2 Asperger Syndrome Italian band formed on 15th March 2012 by Mental Delay (aka Michael Wolf'scall) and his wife, Double Phase. Both members perform vocals, but other than this, it's currently unclear which person handles which instruments. Musically, they play depressive black metal, but mix in a lot of experimental elements. The band call this hybrid style "Harrowing Oppressive Multiform Suicidal Black Metal". They're a Christian band, and tackle this subject matter in the context of depression and mental illness. The current status of the band is unknown as their webpages have been inactive since 2014.
