Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

He later made the move to Albuquerque around 1975, using the city as his base of operations while he toured regionally in his home state, as well as in Colorado and Texas. In 1993 he bought the Blue Front Cafe and settled down in Glenwood, finally hanging up his music biz spurs for several years before signing up as The Delk Band's bass player sometime around 2005. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | The Snorks | Snorks was a children's animated television series created by Belgian cartoonist [a=Nicolas Broca] (1932—1993), with four seasons and 65 episodes aired in the United States on the NBC network and in syndication between September 1984 and March 1989. A commercial failure in American broadcast, the show performed significantly better in the international distribution, gaining a limited "cult following" years later. Between 2012 and 2016, Warner Archive released all four seasons on DVD, and the show was partially available on the [l=Hulu] streaming platform. Intricately connected to an acclaimed Smurfs cartoon series launched in 1981, the "Snorks" ran concurrently on the same television network for five years. Freddy Monnickendam (b. 1954), the creator of both shows, first joined prolific Belgian comic publisher [l=Dupuis] in 1977, where he soon negotiated a licensing deal for the company's flagship series, renowned [a=Peyo]'s graphic novel "Smurfs," for [m=241756] album by French singer [a=Pierre Kartner] on [l=Decca]/[l=Polydor]. Freddy then got promoted to the head of the SEPP International division responsible for the "Smurfs" merchandising. He established a fruitful partnership with [l=Hanna-Barbera Productions] and [l=3M France], launching an eponymous children's animated TV series for National Broadcasting Company, one of the "Big Three" American networks, in September 1981. Even though Smurfs was an instant smashing hit and one of NBC's primetime offerings for the children's audience, [a=Peyo] and Freddy constantly clashed over creative differences, royalties distribution, and every possible contract clause during lengthy negotiations, culminating in Peyo's lawsuit against Monnickendam shortly after the show's premiere. Thus, the Snorks originated as a direct competitor to "Smurfs," devised by Monnickendam as a payback to Peyo; Freddy was confident he could easily repeat the same "recipe for success" by sourcing another comic series in Europe with a more agreeable author and licensing it to NBC via [l=Hanna Barbera]. In early 1982, he found just the right match — Snorks, a new comic book self-published by Belgian cartoonist Nic Broca and portraying "snorks" — brightly-colored anthropomorphic sea creatures. Fundamentally similar to "Smurfs," the aspiring publication differed enough to attract the same audience while avoiding plagiarism accusations. Broca agreed to sell television rights to SEPP, and Freddy immediately began working on a pilot episode for NBC with [a=William Hanna & Joseph Barbera]. The Snorks premiered on NBC on Saturday, 15th September 1984 — the same day as the fourth season of "Smurfs" — featuring a prolific cast of voiceover actors: [a=Michael Bell], [a=Brian Cummings (6)], [a=B.J. Ward], [a=Nancy Cartwright], [a=Barry Gordon], [a=Rob Paulsen], and [a=Frank Welker]. Despite all promotional efforts, the Snorks never gained audience ratings and commercial profits even remotely comparable to "Smurfs," discontinued in March 1989 after four seasons. The show's declining ratings cost Monnickendam his showrunner contract with [l=Hanna Barbera] (his former partners co-produced the final two seasons of "Smurfs" with Lafig S.A. instead) and ultimately led to SEPP's dissolution. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Asenath Noir | Alberto Viel | Italian minimal dark ambient project, started in 2006 and run by A.V., based in Piedmont. Inspired in his first phase by local legends, linked to nature, he later turned towards a more modern approach, turning his attention to modern society and the disease it represents. With an aesthetic of urban decadence, monotony and repetitiveness, he tries to recreate, through dark environmental sounds, the urban decadence of the hive cities, drawing panoramas of imposed solitude, alienation, and anguish of the failure. The feelings that fill the heart of modern man today. A.S is a faded color photo of a street crowded with cars after a storm, the desire to go home and the anguish of finding it empty. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Steve Rondinaro | Steve Rondinaro works as a marketing manager specializing in broadcast media at historic French Lick Resort in Indiana. Prior to that, he was a four-time Emmy Award-winning television news anchor and reporter, having spent most of his career in Miami and Orlando. He also owned and operated his own TV and radio stations in North Carolina. Steve has hosted the [l153566] World Championships for 42 years on PBS, ESPN2, and on movie screens across the country. In 2013 he was inducted into the [l153566]l Hall of Fame. Steve is active in volunteer work. He is president of the French Lick West Baden Museum, a weekly kindergarten reading buddy at Springs Valley Elementary School, and a staff member with the Springs Valley High School marching band. Rondinaro's drum corps career started like many others who have entered DCI's Hall of Fame, as a marching corps member. A young 10-year-old in upstate New York, Rondinaro joined and marched with the [a8858188] through 1975. He also co-managed the corps that year as they narrowly missed the finals competition with a 13th-place finish in the 1975 World Championships in Philadelphia. Rondinaro would help lead the Squires through 1979. Forging a successful career as a news reporter and anchor outside of drum corps, Rondinaro got his start with DCI's television broadcasts when asked by Hall of Fame Member Don Whitely to host a local PBS telecast of the 1976 DCI East competition in Allentown, PA. A similar opportunity was offered in 1977 for the DCI Canada event in Hamilton, Ontario, and by 1979 he got his opportunity in front of the camera at the World Championships, sitting alongside jazz trumpet legend [a38207] as co-host. Over many years Rondinaro has had the opportunity to work with a diverse array of broadcast hosts from actress [a856107] to sports broadcasting legend [a1093496], using his unique experiences and talents as a drum corps "insider" to educate his television partners even if they have little or no familiarity with the drum corps activity. As Rondinaro's broadcasting career took him to Miami in the early 1980s, he wouldn't lose sight of managing a corps. There he helped reorganize the Florida Vanguard into a new corps, [a7695405], a group that went on to win DCI's A-Class Championship title in 1984. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Inception In Black | Inception In Black is a synth/avant-garde duo formed in 2020 after an experimental concert in Vienna sparked a creative partnership between Serbian artist Black Marine and UK-based producer Morgan King. Fusing coldwave textures with goth aesthetics and avant-synth experimentation, the duo crafts an evolving sound that ranges from brooding and dissonant to melodic and atmospheric. Their work has been described as “a rainbow of sound arching from synth-avant-garde to goth,” reflecting both their artistic range and commitment to sonic exploration. Their debut single, “Big Brush,” released in 2022 on the Accidental Music label, introduced audiences to their immersive soundscape. Subsequent releases like “Voyeur,” “Ich Suche Dich,” and “Figure of Speech” continued to expand their sonic identity, incorporating remix culture and dynamic arrangements. With Morgan King at the helm of writing and production and Black Marine delivering haunting vocal textures, Inception In Black is carving out a distinctive space in the contemporary synth and experimental music scene. | |

He started to create music in 2008, after an excellent drummer career in Music Accademy. Now Solaris music is concerned primarily with sounds in a variety of "soul" states, such as melody tones and noisy sounds, often using frequencies equalized on 432hz (the soul’s key). Every SOLARIS album are full of “key sounds” for the people's consciousness. Solaris says " the 432 Hz frequency sound is used to open the listeners minds and have a positively melodic music, but simultaneously psychedelic !" Rhythmically, Solaris music is highly imaginative, exploiting beat patterns and at the same times, using a variety of amazing tones to create a lovely music groove. His work is also encroaches on the world of ambient music, many tracks on his albums are slowly evolving soundscapes concerned with and with no sense of negative energy. He can create each type of music with a special personal style. Actually Solaris works on many different kinds of music: (for example): 432 Hz, Psy-Progressive, House-ProgresSive, Ambient/chill Out, Elektro, Intelligent D&B and much others.. Currently he manages in Italy an Electro-Music Corporation called "NU universe MUSIC" in collaboration with the most important electronic labels to grow together into the advanced music progression ! | Search | Add | 6 | Thomas Näfe | Thomas Näfe | Born 1968 in Darmstadt (Germany) and electronic native since the early eighties at the age of 13. The artist chose the synonym “the artist formerly unknown” because he prefers to remain in the background of his projects. His musical journey began in the mid-1980s, when he started producing electronic music in various projects – sometimes with singers, sometimes solo. In 1985, together with singer Dirk, he founded his first project, “Perspex Hearts in the Fog” (PHF). Inspired by OMD but more experimental in character, the music was programmed on a Commodore 64 using Sound Monitor software and an early sampling module. The results were low-quality synthpop tracks, attempts to blend the styles of Art of Noise, The Human League, and OMD. Two years later, in 1987, he launched “Delete Delete” with singer Manfred. This project leaned towards harder, industrial and EBM sounds, drawing influence from Klinik, aGrumh, Skinny Puppy, Throbbing Gristle, Non, Current 93, and Severed Heads, alongside pop icons such as OMD, Depeche Mode, The Human League, and New Order. A wide range of analog and digital gear shaped the sound, including the Korg MS20, Roland TB303, Casio SK1, Commodore Amiga 500, and many others. In 1988, two tapes were released, and the duo performed several unusual live shows. In 1989, keyboardist Axel joined, making the music more accessible. However, before a third tape could be completed or a potential record deal signed, the band split due to musical differences. Between 1990 and 1995, he wrote a large number of pop songs with the Roland JD800, Korg PolySix, and an Amiga 500 sequencer. Some of these tracks later resurfaced in projects such as “Commercial” and “The artist formerly unknown.” In 1996, together with singer Kai, he started the project “Banality.” They produced the demo CD Demonstration and tried to pitch it to various London-based labels, but without success, as classic 80s synthpop was out of fashion at the time. Later that year, the project was renamed “Commercial”, shifting towards a more 90s-oriented sound. Their mini-album Concepts (500 copies) was sent to numerous labels, but the feedback remained discouraging: the vocals were considered “too 80s” and the sound “not compatible with chart productions.” In 1998, the single “Forever” was released, featuring female vocalist Antonia to give it a more 90s feel. The track reached No. 1 in the local radio charts and No. 2 in the station’s year-end chart of 1998 – yet again, no label interest followed. After additional recordings and live performances, the project came to an end later that year. Since the mid-90s, his setup shifted entirely to Cubase on Mac, and in 2000 he transitioned to Logic. At first, he experimented with trance but soon decided to ignore strict genre boundaries. Under the alias “The artist formerly unknown”, he produced melodic, danceable instrumental tracks somewhere between trance, ambient, synthpop, and soundtrack. Today, he continues to produce electronic music under the name “Elekthromas” and is currently seeking a singer (male or female) to continue creating electronic pop music. |

They are also owner of No Fear records After playing as a live act or DJs in many important events in Canada, Czech Republic and France during 3 years NOIRDEGOUT create his own label called NO FEAR RECORDS on December 2005. The first release on this label is an EP made by NOIRDEGOUT themselves and called FIRST ASSAULT EP . Great surprise, this records was RECORDS OF THE MONTH" on French music magazine "TRAX"! (and remixed by famous French producer SCAN X), but was also NUMBER ONE ON DAVE CLARKE'S PLAYLIST , played by Laurent Garnier, Fabrice Lig, Vince Watson, Paul Nazca... !!! The SECOND SHOT EP is also a success, and, as the "first assault", this record is NUMBER 1 ON DAVE CLARKE'S PLAYLIST with the track "Consumed" but also number 7 in this chart with the track "Sharks Bay" !!! The THIRD WAY EP was a melodic and emotional EP, deeper than their first releases. The NOIRDEGOUT releases, Live-act , and DJ set were a mix of many influences like Detroit techno (Kenny Larkin, Underground Resistance, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson & Derrick May), Electro (Anthony Rother, Arpanet ), German techno (Heiko Laux, Johaneis Heil, Beroshima) ,and of course the French techno sounds of Laurent Garnier , Vitalic, The hacker and many mores!!! After some other releases were published on Initial cut & White noise records (Dave Clarke's label) The duo no longer exists now. |

| Search | Add | 6 | DC Da Messenger | At the age 16, DC Da Messenger was the motivating force behind a very talented singing and rap group called DC Rap Kids, which consisted largely of some very creative and innovated family members, including his younger brother and three cousins. Compositions like "World War III", "video Games", "The Smurfs", DC Rap Kids Theme" and of course "Big Chance" showed his early genius at writing with message and meaning. However, limited by lack of industry knowledge and capitol backing, the "Big Chance" never came. Eventually DC Rap Kids evolved into "DC Delinquent Teens". Da Messenger persevered and stuck to his guns, refusing to compromise his unique art form. This landed him a job with the Everyday Theater Youth Ensemble(ET), where he finally felt the "hype" of performing for more than just family and he loved it. Now more than ever, he vowed never to turn back. His experience with ET was the best thin that could have happened to Da Messenger. After Everyday Theater, Da Messenger tried to once again pull his family along, but realized that nothing happens overnight. All but one has been lost to the streets, including himself. He has never let go of his dream and remains determined to achieve whatever it was that DC Rap Kids set out to do nine years ago. He look back and wonders how many really talented undiscovered kid never get a chance to achieve their dreams, but fall victim to the stone cold street of hustling, drug abuse, robbery and everything that comes with it. On that tragic note, he dedicates the singles "AVENUE BUM RUSH",and "IT'S ON YOU". | |

| Search | Add | 6 | J.K. Coltrain | J. K. Coltrain was born in Columbus, Ohio. He spent his early childhood days between there and West Virginia where his parents operated a small Mom & Pop grocery store. His Dad also was an excellent auto mechanic and in fact owned a number of repair shops over the years and was a weekend stock car racer. That's one reason why J. K. is a Nascar fanatic to this day:) J.K. grew up surrounded by music & musicians. His cousin, Buddy Starcher was a professional recording artist on Columbia Records and was a regular performer on the then popular Midwestern & Louisiana Hayrides. He also introduced the late Keith Whitley who first appeared on Buddys weekly radio show in Charleston, West Virginia when he was 8 years old. J. K. made his own first appearance on radio at age 12 and first TV appearance at age 14. His Uncle & Grandpa performed together at churches throughout the South. That's where J. K. made his first appearance singing in church at the ripe old age of 11. His first professional job was at age 14 when he began singing with The Pleasant Hill Quartet. A well-known gospel group at the time. Of course in his teens he had to try his hand in high school dance bands like Fire n' Ice and The Four Aces but by age 20 he had returned to his first love country music. At that time J. K. helped form a 7 piece country rock group called 'The Southern Express'. They garnered a great deal of regional success and opened for many popular groups at that time such as Pure Prairie League, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Poco & The Marshall Tucker Band. In 1983 he left The Southern Express to pursue a solo career as his heart was with more traditional country music. He appeared to be taking the music business by storm as he was often the featured artist on Ernest Tubbs Midnite Jamboree and many popular Nashville nightclubs and was dubbed The Star of Tomorrow by Country Music News. He first cracked the country music charts in 1987 with a self-penned song, West Virginia You're Still My Home on the Studio 7 label. Since then he had enjoyed a number of chart successes including being shown in the Top 40 in Europe for 41 straight weeks. He also has made many appearances on radio & TV including The Nashville Showcase, The Midnight Jamboree, Nashville On Stage, The Jerry Lewis Telethon & Stars of Tomorrow Show. J. K. has toured worldwide and worked with some of the greatest names in country music including Jerry Reed, Loretta Lynn, The Bellamy Brothers, Conway Twitty, Buck Owens, George Jones, Tammy Wynette & Jerry Lee Lewis to name just a few. In addition to still recording and performing on his own J.K. is now helping the new up & coming young artists serving as the President of Colt Records Nashville as well as Nashville Radio Promotions, Chairman of The Traditional Country Opry and hosting The Country Star Showcases. He was recently awarded The Texas CMA Entertainer and Best Country Album of The Year awards. J. K. Coltrain is a member of: Traditional Country Hall of Fame Country Music Association Academy of Country Music Country Legends Association Americana Music Association | |
