Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Marc Loage | Marc Loage | For over fifteen years Marc has been a well known name in the Scottish hard dance scene. DJing in the countries biggest clubs and venues including the world renowned venue “The Arches”. Marc has been very diverse in his music direction when it comes to DJing over the years, but his true love has always been trance, ever since he fell in love with the album series “Reactivate” in the early 90’s. Some of his biggest inspiration has came from Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten and David Forbes to name a few. In his DJ career Marc has been entrusted to warm the stage up for some huge acts such as Scott Brown, Kutski and Mickey Modelle. His biggest career achievement to date is warming up for the Clubland legends, Scooter, on their long overdue return to Scotland as the only Scottish date on their tour this event was a sell out. For the last two years Marc has worked hard at changing direction to get back to the genre he loves - TRANCE. Focusing more on production he has been in and out of the studio and has recently had his debut trance track aptly named “Diversion” released on David Forbes - Aria Digital Label. With huge support from Paul Van Dyk, Alex Di Stefano and lots more within the trance community. At the start of 2020 Marc has created his on online radio show “Diversion Radio” in which he shares his current favourite tracks each month. You can find this on Apple Music, Soundcloud and Mixcloud. Marc has future plans to develop , and has recently completed two further tracks. His aim is to build a fan base Globally and continue to create music for others to appreciate. |

Search | Add | 6 | City Kidds | City Kidds were a UK-based glam band that was part of the UK scene in the late 80's and early 90's. The scene was led by the great Tigertailz, but included many more great similar bands, including City Kidds. The only official CD release from the band was a two song single, but the band recorded a ton of demos, most of which circulated in the glam rock tape trading circuit. In the early 90's, as the scene changed, the band changed their name to Sons of God and recorded a bunch more demos. These recordings were finally released on cd in 2001.

Search | Add | 6 | Jean Dovy | Jean Dovy | J Dovy has defined the characteristics of the French house sound and created his own style of “filtered house,” and “tekfunk.” Combining the two ingredients with a deep house vibe you can hear early influences by pioneers Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Shep Petibone, and Todd Terry. In 1997 J Dovy released his first track titled “Deep in Underground” on House Trade Records, under the moniker D&S. Later in 2010 he signed with various dance labels releasing more than 150 tracks on Soul Shift Music, Law Recordings, Disco Birds, Nylon Trax Records, and many others. His weekly podcast, “Burn It” consisting of deep house mixes grew a large audience with over 50,000 downloads over a three year period time, making it a total of 90 episodes. J Dovy helped put Lyon, France on the map while collaborating with other local artists and musicians. He formed Men From Nobu with fellow band mate Vartan Fau, a jazz pianist. “Nobu” is a track by Herbie Hancock, a popular musician beloved by the duo. Previous releases, were made under the names of Effendi and FueL, on Dovy’s chill out and funk label Lokossa Music. J’s second label Raw Matter Recordings caters to the more underground vibe releasing music from lesser known artists. Both labels have made boutique shop recommendations, such as Traxsource, Juno Download, also charted by DJ and producer Larry Heard. In 2014 J Dovy regrouped the two labels Raw Matter Recordings and Lokossa Music and formed dovymusic with sub labels Groove Park Records and somanymusic. |

Search | Add | 6 | Broken Dollars | Established in 2017, Broken Dollars rapidly broke into the London music circuit and embedded themselves into the UK motorcycle culture. They worked closely with a variety of biker brands showcasing their music at collaborative moto events. Their music has also been used to help promote charities such as Make-A-Wish and various addiction recovery programs. Following the release of the first 3 singles, Broken Dollars released a full length album Hope & Fate in September 2019. It included re-mastered singles and brand-new studio recordings. At the start of 2020, a year musicians will never forget the band release Black Skulls, but after the entertainments industry was forced to shutdown, the band were forced to pull out from some of their biggest plans to date. Due to the excessive time spent away, in July 2021 both Luke & Simon decided it was time to close this chapter and move onto separate projects. But, not without leaving something for all of those who had followed their journey. The final offering Strangers (Let Rock N' Roll Save Your Soul) was their farewell track, released 13th August. Luke continues his lockdown born solo project, Shadow Bones and who knows what else will come from this duo in the future.

Search | Add | 6 | Bachelor Machines | Clint Hoagland | In late 2004, songwriter [a=Clint Hoagland] stumbled upon the Bachelor Machines, forgotten, in a basement in a remote part of Lansing, Michigan. Mr Hoagland blew the dust off their screens, connected them back up, and they sprung back into life. The Bachelor Machines - Bachelor #1 and Bachelor #2 - requested audio and visual information input in the form of 12" LPs, VHS tapes and DVDs, which their human assistant provides them. They take that raw input, process it using operations known only to themselves, and then they provide their assistant with audio messages. Drawing their name and their found-object aesthetic from Duchamp and their love of sonic juxtaposition from the Space Age Pop movement of 1960s (not to mention the cut-up artists of more recent years), Bachelor Machines destroy recognizable sounds and restructures them into a comforting sonic world where computers talk, robot waitresses serve ice-cold cocktails, and messages from the home office are sent via pneumatic tube. In 2010, the Bachelors stopped engaging humans in rational conversations using the humans' own sounds. They now aim to address humans' nervous systems directly. |

Search | Add | 6 | Gaspare De Vito | Gaspare De Vito’s music will take your mind to unexpected places. An introspective journey into oneself, where a deeper connection with nature becomes possible. The Italian musician has a unique approach to music, which is centered around research and improvisation. Coming from a background in jazz and contemporary music, he has transitioned to electronic music in early 2015. Producer, saxophonist, flutist and composer, born in Naples in 1978. He has always been fascinated by the freedom which marks both music practice and sound research. His own singular concept of instrumental and compositional research drove appreciations from critics and audiences alike, in particular for his original musical language. Gaspare’s music is influenced by an enormous body of work. He draws inspiration from the music that mostly resonated with him, from the Neapolitan and Mediterranean roots of his childhood to the Hip-Hop of his early teens, going through Funk, Jazz all the way to Cuban, west and south African traditional music. With his new solo project, Gaspare De Vito, explores minimal and melodic techno sounds, producing deep, progressive and absolutely original music. A set that combines electronics and live music in a unique mix full of energy. As jazz performer he has worked with musicians such as Butch Morris, Alvin Curran, Mop Mop, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Francesco Bearzatti, Fabrizio Puglisi, Pasquale Mirra, Luisa Cottifogli, Maisha Grant and many more. He has also played with numerous bands both as a leader or as session-man in Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Finland, Sweden and Estonia. Gaspare has performed at many international festivals such as Clusone Jazz Festival, Jazz In it, Sant’arcangelo Jazz Festival, Paradiso Jazz, Jazzy Jam, Cassero Jazz Festival, Dozza Jazz, Crossroads, Angelica Festival, Trentennale del Treno di Cage just to name few. In 2007 he was voted among the best Italian saxophonists and in 2008 he came seventh in the annual referendum for best new talent organised by italian magazine “Musica Jazz”.

The Chicago-based group was together for several decades, most notably starring on the WLS National Barn Dance program, as well as local and nationally syndicated programs on the ABC network. Stokes was born in Springfield, Missouri but like many entertainers in the radio era he moved around a lot, living in Monticello, Indiana and Helena, Montana among other places, before retiring down in Florida. It was up in Montana in the early 'Sixties while working as a radio deejay that Tiny Stokes met a factory worker and aspiring country singer named Charley Pride, whose career he championed, introducing the future chart-topper to Red Foley, who helped then Pride break into the Nashville scene. Though not known as a solo artist, Stokes recorded prolifically with the Buccaneers, both on Decca singles and countless airshots; he was also known for the hillbilly hit, "Blackfoot Boogie," a Montana-themed novelty number he recorded in 1956 with a group called the Frontiersmen. (The song name-checks every country bar in the state, one by one, city by city, and is about as specific a shout-out song as you'll ever hear...) |

Search | Add | 6 | D. Jacob Davies | D. Jacob Davies (15 September 1916 – 11 February 1974) was a Welsh Unitarian minister who became a prominent figure within Welsh public life and within his denomination in Wales and beyond. Jacob Davies was born on 15 September 1916 at Penlon, Tregroes, near Llandysul, one of the five children of o David and Mary Davies. He was educated at Tregroes Primary School before earning a scholarship to Llandysul Grammar School in 1929, where he remained until 1936. He then became a student at Carmarthen Presbyterian College to prepare for the Unitarian ministry. After some years in Carmarthen he became minister of the Capel Bach, the Unitarian chapel in Aberystwyth, where he enrolled as a student at the University and graduated in 1945. Although Davies had intended to study for an MA degree, he received a call to minister the Unitarian churches at Highland Place, Aberdare and Hen-Dy-Cwrdd, Trecynon. The latter was the oldest nonconformist place of worship in the Aberdare Valley. As well as his duties as a minister, Davies played a wider role in the life of Aberdare, including supporting the movement to establish a Welsh-medium primary school, Ysgol Gymraeg Aberdar. In 1957, Jacob Davies returned to his native area to minister the three Unitarian churches at Alltyblacca; Capel y Bryn, Cwrtnewydd and Cwmsychbant. He remained there until his death in 1974. Davies was an active broadcaster, writer and journalist, and edited the Unitarian journal, Yr Ymofynnydd. He was an active campaigner for pensioners' rights and the Pensioner of Wales from 1955 until 1973. He was in demand to preside at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. Politically, Davies supported Plaid Cymru, and unsuccessfully stood as a candidate in the inaugural Dyfed County Council election in 1973. He finished fourth with 21% of the vote. Davies died suddenly on 11 February 1974. He was buried four days later at Bwlchydadfa Cemetery, Talgarreg.

Search | Add | 6 | Diamond Haze | Diamond Haze is an electronic music project started in Budapest under a different name after the members Gábor and Milán got introduced through Milán's brother. Gábor, a seasoned bassist with a musical journey tracing back to high school bands, unites with Milán, a vinyl aficionado whose eclectic collection and DJ sets span from early trance to modern disco. They had their first joint session in 2015 in an old building in the Csepel Industrial Park which was used for band rehearsals also by the one Gábor was a part of. Diamond Haze's unique sound was born — a harmonious fusion of their distinct musical backgrounds and innovative perspectives. Evolving over time, their studio setup grew and the tracks also got much groovier.

Search | Add | 6 | Nazarene Plague | American Brutal/Technical Death Metal band from Farmingdale, New York. Originally started as a solo-project of Mike Ray in 2008, later recruiting DarkFrost/Horns of Belial drummer Rob Donohue. The classic lineup formed in 2009 when Donohue moved from drums to lead vocals, and another Horns of Belial member Mike DeFilippi took over on drums. They recorded several demos, and played shows all around Long Island and New York City including shows with Cannibal Corpse, Carcinogen, and many more. One illegal backyard show directly adjacent to Farmingdale's Main Street with The D-Gen's led to the arrest of Rob Donohue. Disbanded in 2010 during the recording of the "Lullaby For The Aborted" EP, recorded by and planned for release by Infernal Trinity Records, with artwork commissioned by Josh "Leech" Jacobson, the artist who drew The D-Gen's "Gods of the Godless" EP cover. Guitarist/songwriter Mike Ray is still musically active despite his battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Lead singer Rob Donohue passed away in 2019. Infernal Trinity Records has released a set of 250 hand-numbered limited edition Rob Donahue Memorial cards with lyrics contributed by Thorns of the Carrion's Allen L. Scott II, the first 100 of which come with a reprint of the "Lullaby for the Aborted" promo flyers reproduced from the original 2010 files. Nazarene Plague had many other Donohue-Penned songs that never got recorded, including "Inflicting the Mortal Wound", "Devliver us to Evil", "Near Death Experience", The New Life" and "Humani Holocaustum". Unreleased: "Lullaby For The Aborted" EP, 2010. Recorded by Kenny Jockel for Infernal Trinity Records. 1. Murderer 2. Sacrificial Suicide 3. Rancid Feast 4. Lullaby for the Aborted 5. Immortality Through Homicide 6. Spectral Slaughter (Instrumental) 7. The Nazarene Plague Rehearsal Demo 2010 - Like the 2009 "Nazarene Plague" demo CD they've recorded this entire demo live in rehearsal multiple times. Also like the previous demo, ones that they found unsatisfactory were deleted. Two complete copies were kept but the band broke up before they could ever put them out as a demo CD, which they planned to do after Infernal Trinity Records released "Lullaby for the Aborted". The two versions can be told apart by the absence of a guitar solo on the first version of "Reduced to Ash". "37 86" is a 9 minute instrumental heavily influenced by the neoclassical guitar shred subgenre. 1. The American Pipe Dream 2. Reduced to Ash 3. 37 86

Search | Add | 6 | Clifford Douglass | Clifford Douglas | Bandleader Clifford (Boots) Douglas was born in Temple, Texas, probably on September 7, 1908. Douglas, known as one of the finest Texas jazz bandleaders of his era, recorded and toured throughout Texas during the big band or Texas swing heyday of the 1930s. He began experimenting on the drums at age fifteen. He played in Central Texas before moving to San Antonio, where he got his start on the emerging jazz scene. Douglas began by accompanying Millard McNeal's Southern Melody Boys; he played his first show at Turner's Park, San Antonio, in 1926. After earning a reputation as a fine drummer and musician, he formed his own outfit, which he named Boots and His Buddies. Although highly eclectic in style, the ensemble was quite successful. The band concentrated most of its energies on playing in Texas, but made forays into surrounding states as well. Although Boots and His Buddies were not famous in New York or other eastern cities, the group garnered a large following in its home region. In 1935 Bluebird signed the band, which cut forty-two sides for the label between 1935 and 1938, including the songs "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Blues of Avalon." After reaching a pinnacle of success in the 1930s the band steadily declined in popularity. Douglas called it quits, and in 1950 packed his belongings and headed to Los Angeles. He continued to play part-time, but his job for the county government replaced music as his primary source of income. By the 1970s he had dropped out of the public eye, and he has since faded into obscurity. The specific date and place of his death are not known. Social Security Death Records do list a Clifford Douglas who was born on September 7, 1906, in Texas and died on October 27, 2000, in Los Angeles |
