Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Laurens Tol | Laurens Tol | Laurens Tol is only 28 years old, but has become an integral part of the Volendam music scene. The bass player is involved in the lion's share of local musical projects. Although he graduated from the Conservatory five years ago, he still studies his instrument every day. This institution has done him no harm. "What I really thought was a great honor, for example, was raiding the 3JS," the musician proudly explains. Laurens has now reached a new milestone. His debut album, entitled The Four Trees, is complete and will be presented next Friday. By Kevin Mooijer In 2013 the Volendammer unknowingly writes the first song for the piece that would become his debut album five years later. ,, At the time I was very active with improvisation lessons from a good guitarist. After a few sessions, the teacher asked me to come up with my own piece a week later. I tried and actually liked it. ”Laurens got the taste for it and often ventured to write instrumental compositions. ,, At one point I had dozens of pieces on my computer and then the idea of making a record came up carefully. Once that thought is alive, you start using it much more intensively. Songs are improved and you want to create a certain line in the album, so it takes a lot more time. " There is good reason why The Four Trees is an instrumental album in a jazz atmosphere. ,, I really like to solo and improvise. You can hear that on the album, also with the other cooperating musicians. Whereas in pop music, for example, you are primarily supporting as a musician, in jazz you have room for improvisation. ” Despite the fact that jazz is often regarded as heavy music, it appears that Laurens ’album is experienced as very accessible. ,, Various people, both music lovers and musicians, have already touched on me with positive reactions about the atmosphere of the music. In the early stages it felt a bit uncomfortable to make this album, because I am used to playing music that appeals to me. So I am very happy that a lot of people like it. " Four instruments can be heard on The Four Trees; the bass guitar, guitar, alto saxophone and drums. The musicians who play the instruments are (old) acquaintances of Laurens from the music world. ,, For such a project as musicians it is important that you have a good click with each other. The boys who participated in this album vary in age between their twenties and fifties. They are all great guests and moreover virtuosos. ”In addition to Laurens Tol on the bass guitar, you can hear Tom Rutgers (drums), Florian Hierdeis (guitar) and Erik van der Weijden (alto saxophone). ,, I am really proud of the end result. As a bass player you have the possibility to record your own album in the studio, that is such a special experience. Nobody takes that away from me anymore. " |

Search | Add | 6 | City Kidds | City Kidds were a UK-based glam band that was part of the UK scene in the late 80's and early 90's. The scene was led by the great Tigertailz, but included many more great similar bands, including City Kidds. The only official CD release from the band was a two song single, but the band recorded a ton of demos, most of which circulated in the glam rock tape trading circuit. In the early 90's, as the scene changed, the band changed their name to Sons of God and recorded a bunch more demos. These recordings were finally released on cd in 2001.

His debut was specifically in 1999, with a homonymous album and produced by his own means, whose most prominent simple was "[r=20471638]", which obtained some diffusion on radios and also on television, with a low-budget video clip starring his sister, María José. René De La Vega was invited to some television stellar, where his tonic was to mock his style rather than promoting his artistic career. The second single from the same album was "Chica Colegiala". Search | Add | 6 | Dr. Cabrera | Sergio Cabrera Hernández | Sergio Cabrera’s influence has been making a big impact on dance floors since the underground rave scene of the early 90’s. Sergio made a name for himself on his native island of Tenerife showcasing new beats and regularly playing before cheering crowds of Old Skool Hardcore, Jungle and Drum and Bass devotees. From humble beginnings playing rundown warehouses and back gardens, Sergio’s popularity quickly won him residencies for Tenerife’s most iconic clubs, playing a mix of UK Garage, 2 Step and Speed Garage. Making the move to London, UK, Sergio soon became resident DJ at N1 Leicester Square, Pacha London and the infamous Polarise nights, playing side by side with Daniel Brosnan, Dom Chevez, Philips and George, Marky D, Remedy, Sonny Wharton, Trophy Twins, Filthy Rich, Hoxton Whores, Ratpack and Slipmatt (SL2) to name a few. From pulling international crowds to their feet in Tenerife at Paradise Club, Busby’s and Bobby’s, El Establo and the Joyce Bar, Sergio moved permanently to London to pursue his passion for audio engineering. He studied at the world famous SAE institute and went on to record, edit and mix for documentary and fashion film soundtracks. He has released tracks with labels like Madison Square Records, Monkey Show Records and ExperimentalBass Records. With airplay on radio stations like Essentialclubbers and Renegade FM, Sergio’s music style is diverse, encompassing everything from Old Skool Hardcore, Drum and Bass and Jungle to Funky House, Electro Tech House, House and Breakbeat. Sergio’s undeniable flare for mixing Old Skool Hardcore with new and exciting beats has seen him develop a music portfolio that exemplifies his wealth of knowledge that is intrinsically tied to his musical roots in the heyday of rave culture. However firmly rooted his sound might be, it hasn’t stopped Sergio from exploring exciting new territories as a dance music artist. Staying true to his innate curiosity and persistent obsession for advances in software applications, Sergio has evolved into a multi-genre producer offering an almost painterly palette of sounds and interesting mixes. His acute sense of hearing and attention to detail filters the subtle changes of a polyphonic composition, complementing his versatility and vast technical knowledge. The inquisitive mind of this young Spanish producer has drawn him to explore the direct psychological and physiological responses associated with compositional frequencies, leading him down the path of psychoacoustics and sound installations. As of now, Sergio has only scratched the surface of his musical possibility as he continues to dive into the creative depths of music production to develop a sonic language of his own. He has set out on a mission to stimulate our brains and expand our perceptual responses in ways that will take our receptors on a next-level musical journey. We eagerly await his upcoming work. “Creating music in a studio is great as you know it will create a response - a feeling - when it’s heard, but nothing compares the immense feeling of joy I get from playing in front of a crowd that goes wild at the movement of my fingertips.” - Sergio Cabrera |

Search | Add | 6 | Broken Dollars | Established in 2017, Broken Dollars rapidly broke into the London music circuit and embedded themselves into the UK motorcycle culture. They worked closely with a variety of biker brands showcasing their music at collaborative moto events. Their music has also been used to help promote charities such as Make-A-Wish and various addiction recovery programs. Following the release of the first 3 singles, Broken Dollars released a full length album Hope & Fate in September 2019. It included re-mastered singles and brand-new studio recordings. At the start of 2020, a year musicians will never forget the band release Black Skulls, but after the entertainments industry was forced to shutdown, the band were forced to pull out from some of their biggest plans to date. Due to the excessive time spent away, in July 2021 both Luke & Simon decided it was time to close this chapter and move onto separate projects. But, not without leaving something for all of those who had followed their journey. The final offering Strangers (Let Rock N' Roll Save Your Soul) was their farewell track, released 13th August. Luke continues his lockdown born solo project, Shadow Bones and who knows what else will come from this duo in the future.

In 1891, Guest came with his family to the United States from England. After he began at the Detroit Free Press as a copy boy and then a reporter, his first poem appeared December 11, 1898. He became a naturalized citizen in 1902. For 40 years, Guest was widely read throughout North America, and his sentimental, optimistic poems were in the same vein as the light verse of Nick Kenny, who wrote syndicated columns during the same decades. From his first published work in the Detroit Free Press until his death in 1959, Guest penned some 11,000 poems which were syndicated in some 300 newspapers and collected in more than 20 books, including A Heap o' Livin' (1916) and Just Folks (1917). Guest was made Poet Laureate of Michigan, the only poet to have been awarded the title. His popularity led to a weekly Detroit radio show which he hosted from 1931 until 1942, followed by a 1951 NBC television series, A Guest in Your Home.

Later they would change their style to a more expansive, ambient electronic sound. They adopted a new name, Kids Indestructible (chosen as it sounded like a cartoon series yet to be made). They decided on 'Please Avoid Strong Light' as a potential album title which has since become their catchphrase and band logo. The phrase is taken from the text on the back of packets of Seabrook Crisps manufactured in Bradford in their native Yorkshire. This also became the title of one of their definitive tracks, a vocoderised Beach Boy chant mixed with electronic drones and jaunty piano, which grabbed the attention of Parisian record label, Gooom Disques. This combination of unexpected musical influences sums up the Kids Indestructible sound very well. |

Search | Add | 6 | Jean Dovy | Jean Dovy | J Dovy has defined the characteristics of the French house sound and created his own style of “filtered house,” and “tekfunk.” Combining the two ingredients with a deep house vibe you can hear early influences by pioneers Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Shep Petibone, and Todd Terry. In 1997 J Dovy released his first track titled “Deep in Underground” on House Trade Records, under the moniker D&S. Later in 2010 he signed with various dance labels releasing more than 150 tracks on Soul Shift Music, Law Recordings, Disco Birds, Nylon Trax Records, and many others. His weekly podcast, “Burn It” consisting of deep house mixes grew a large audience with over 50,000 downloads over a three year period time, making it a total of 90 episodes. J Dovy helped put Lyon, France on the map while collaborating with other local artists and musicians. He formed Men From Nobu with fellow band mate Vartan Fau, a jazz pianist. “Nobu” is a track by Herbie Hancock, a popular musician beloved by the duo. Previous releases, were made under the names of Effendi and FueL, on Dovy’s chill out and funk label Lokossa Music. J’s second label Raw Matter Recordings caters to the more underground vibe releasing music from lesser known artists. Both labels have made boutique shop recommendations, such as Traxsource, Juno Download, also charted by DJ and producer Larry Heard. In 2014 J Dovy regrouped the two labels Raw Matter Recordings and Lokossa Music and formed dovymusic with sub labels Groove Park Records and somanymusic. |

Search | Add | 6 | Bachelor Machines | Clint Hoagland | In late 2004, songwriter [a=Clint Hoagland] stumbled upon the Bachelor Machines, forgotten, in a basement in a remote part of Lansing, Michigan. Mr Hoagland blew the dust off their screens, connected them back up, and they sprung back into life. The Bachelor Machines - Bachelor #1 and Bachelor #2 - requested audio and visual information input in the form of 12" LPs, VHS tapes and DVDs, which their human assistant provides them. They take that raw input, process it using operations known only to themselves, and then they provide their assistant with audio messages. Drawing their name and their found-object aesthetic from Duchamp and their love of sonic juxtaposition from the Space Age Pop movement of 1960s (not to mention the cut-up artists of more recent years), Bachelor Machines destroy recognizable sounds and restructures them into a comforting sonic world where computers talk, robot waitresses serve ice-cold cocktails, and messages from the home office are sent via pneumatic tube. In 2010, the Bachelors stopped engaging humans in rational conversations using the humans' own sounds. They now aim to address humans' nervous systems directly. |
