Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 5 Leo Leyzerowitz Leo Leyzerowitz is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer & dj living in Paris. Greatly attracted to minimalism, textures, and being already familiar with repetitive and hypnotic musical patterns, Leo Leyzerowitz developed his attraction for minimal and micro house in particular. Since then, he has produced both elegant and sharp music, however not without those deliciously groovy sounds. In 2021, he founded Lamed Records, a vinyl & digital independant label based in Paris, focused on fine minimal house music. He also releases experimentale/noise music under the name of Buzenval. Since 2023, he's part of the duo Arche, french drone doom metal band.

Search Add 5 Tekno Lima Tekno Lima Rock Band from Lima, Peru (1986-1988) A creation of [l108642] Label formed by many local musicians from different bands from Lima. Just a proyect who released rehearsals and covers oriented to markets outside Lima, where the big labels did not arrive because of their small sizes. Did'nt perform presentations or concerts, just sporadically edited material as Singles, EP's or 45 RPM's. That strategy of sales was a failure. Since 1987, [l108642] stopped producing covers and started to release only the songs of several groups and national soloists of the time, many of them unsuccessful.

Search Add 5 Homero Hidrobo Homero Ojeda Hidrobo Ecuadorian guitarist and singer. Homero Ojeda Hidrobo (Quito, October 2, 1939 - August 5, 1979) was an Ecuadorian classical guitarist and one of Ecuador's best known guitarists of the 20th century. He was also accomplished in other genres such as popular and folk music. He performed with his father [a3605211] and uncle in his youth. In 1954 he formed the quartet Guanabara y, más tarde, and later the trio Los Latinos del Ande. Throughout the late 1950s and early 1960s they performed all over the Americas, North, Central and Southern. In 1962 the group evolved into a group known as the Los 4 Brillantes or Los Brillantes a group which received notable recognition in the 1960s and released a number of recordings often from Fadisa Studios in Quito. Amongst his recitals or adaptions are J.S. Bach's "Ciaccona"; "The Cathedral" by Agustin Barrios Mangoré, and " La Maja de Goya " by Granados. His composition "Canta Cuando Me Ausente" (Sing, Though I Be Absent) composed by his father Marco received much acclaim. According to the noted Spanish classic guitarist Andrés Segovia who described him as "The best guitarist of the Americas". "Homero Hidrobo has been an untiring explorer of that constellation of harmonies that captures the sweet enchantment of music. His sensitivity and craftsmanship of his interpretation makes of Hidrobo a great example of permanent overcoming craftsmanship. His disciplined work it is oriented to discover the true face of the Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism and along with the music of America, and Ecuadorian music in particular" . Married to [a4194439], he died on August 5, 1979 only aged 39 from chronic liver disease.

Search Add 5 Erik Karsemeijer Erik Karsemeijer – Rhythmic Free Spirit Born in Hilversum, The Netherlands , the son of a musical family, I began studying violin as a child. Later, I switched to trombone. From the age of 18, however, I increasingly developed a love for percussive instruments, especially those from other cultures. Several international drum masters from countries such as Ghana, Latin America, and Asia served as my teachers. The most important was Airto Moreira. In the 1970s and 1980s, when jazz-rock, funk, and soul emerged, I worked primarily as a studio musician and was also part of several Latin jazz and pop groups and theater productions. I performed in various radio and television productions, including the Metropole Orchestra, the Loenen Big Band, and in the rhythm section of the musical "Mother and Her Boys." Artists I worked with in bands at that time included: Daniel Sahuleka, Hans Vermeulen, René Froger, Bill van Dijk, Jody Pijper.

Along with founding the "The Hip Hop Project" at Loyola University Chicago's radio station WLUW 88.7 FM, Brother El has cultivated musical collaborations with various artists including Chicago rap group Earatik Statik. Kelton was born in Andrews County in western Texas at the Horse Camp of the Five Wells Ranch, which belonged to the Scharbauer Cattle Company. His parents were Robert W. “Buck” and Beatrice “Bea” (née Holland) Kelton. When Kelton was three years old, the family moved to the McElroy Ranch, located in Crane and Upton counties. Search Add 5 Zender Inc / KGB Zender Place of Birth: Amsterdam Country: Netherlands Profession: Freelance Graphic Designer, Illustrator, (Spray)Painter and DJ Company: Zender Industries / Zender inc / KGB Bio: At the age of thirteen I started off as a graffiti artist, getting myself involved in the visual process, but as time passed by I began developing my skills and got numerous commercial, illustration- and paint jobs. In 1999 I spray-painted the Singel Studio (37 x 11 meter) together with a friend I met in the Dutch graffiti scene (Delta). During this same period I got involved in a group exhibition called "Post Graffiti, which helped me gain a lot of public attention. By that time I had my mind set up on learning more about graphic design and at the end of the year I went to Los Angeles, were I worked as a trainee at a small design studio were i learned to work with computers and the graphic design process. Back in Amsterdam The Mazzo Nightclub commissioned me to do a mural in their club, i asked an old friend (Christiaan Dros) to help me out. The exhibition became a success, so we decided to start up our own illustration company and called it: "Zender & Chaos". During this period we produced an enormous amount of illustrations and backdrops for the nightlife scene, painted a coffee shop (the Global Chillage) and their nightclub in Spain. We did as well a lot of illustrations for an art agency called Shop Around until Chris and i went our separate ways and I started working as a freelance artist. At first I did a lot of work as a freelance Graphic designer for Boomerang (a company that produces free postcards) which made me understand how the graphic industry works here in Holland. Today i am back working as a freelance graphic designer and with two other freelance artist we began a little company called KGB (Kreativ grapic buro), working for various clients. I am also represented by Artbox a Creative Art Agency. Next to my graphic job i love to play music as a DJ and organize the Rendez-Vous events with the intention to stimulate creativity. Later in life he began recording these spontaneous compositions and released a well-received trilogy of piano instrumental albums under the name Solitude. Nick’s latest release, Refuge is a collection of meditative, neo-classical instrumentals featuring the soothing sounds of string ensembles, choirs, and more, all built around his spontaneous piano solos.

Stefan Timmermans and Franky Garmijn changed the name to Sisters Sex Haus a reference to Sisters Of Mercy, Alien Sex Fiend and Bauhaus. Evena s their sound had nothing to do with those bands. Both changed their name quickly into Nick Bat (Stefan) and Eve Mortley (Franky) because they used to be resident DJ's at The Tube and B52. Soon as they were planning to record Multiplication 6 Drive Glenn Rotsaert joined on guitar. Yves Beaumont did some writing. But after one year they both left the band. School became an issue to make new songs and in 1987 Sisters Sex Haus was over.

The ensemble is dedicated to innovation in baroque music and developing an intercultural artistic movement with musicians, singers, dancers, choreographers, visual artists, architects, designers and filmmakers from all around the globe. To date they have created over 30 productions worldwide. The ensemble performs on 18th century period instruments and works in an international network with global partners such as opera houses, festivals, concert halls, municipal theaters, art foundations and museums. The company presents performances with a repertoire from Renaissance to the contemporary composers. They participate in today’s global art scene with inter-disciplinary productions of baroque, new music, electro-acoustic, modern dance, conceptual performance and experimental music theater. In 2018 Musica Sequenza celebrated its 10th anniversary by performing milestones of their repertoire such as “Silent Cantata” (2012) and “Sampling Baroque” (2015). For the anniversary they premiered a new Bach production “Atlas Passion” in co-production with Stadttheater Schaffhausen Switzerland. They also performed their signature programs at venues, such as Radialsystem V, International Bach Festival Schaffhausen, Borusan Culture & Art Foundation and Berghain. Musica Sequenza collaborates with Sasha Waltz, Rolando Villazon, Larisa Navojec and Van Rivers. Since it’s founding the ensemble has performed at Konzerthaus Berlin, Istanbul Music Festival, Händel Festspiele Halle, Oranjewoud Festival Netherlands, Thüringer Bach Wochen, Bach Akademie Stuttgart, Alice Tully Hall, Club Sisyphos, Wagenhallen, Kammgarn, Umspannwerk and the Berlin Biennale. Commissioned by the Grand Palais Museum Paris in 2014, Musica Sequenza recorded music by Burak Özdemir and Spanish baroque composers for the “Diego Velazquez” world tour exhibition. The work was curated and filmed by Karim Ainouz, which later became an international DVD release on Arte Edition. Burak Özdemir & Musica Sequenza collaborated with Sasha Waltz & Guests on diverse projects including “Dialoge” at Festival d’Avignon and the open exchange platform “Zuhören” at Radial System V in Berlin. Since 2012 the recordings of Musica Sequenza have been released by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi / Sony labels. The works include Burak Özdemir’s recompositions and original scores, developed together with Grammy awarded producer Da-Hong Seetoo, German recording engineer Christian Jaeger and Swedish DJ & Producer Van Rivers. The ensemble releases „Vivaldi : The New Four Seasons“ (2012), „Bach : The Silent Cantata“ (2013), „Rameau a la Turque“ (2014) and „Sampling Baroque/Handel“ (2016), have earned praise by the world press.

Search Add 5 Leni Re'nae Born: July 28, 1936. Leni ReNae's father immigrated to Canada from Germany before the Second World War, while her mother is of German origin as well. Her father settled in northern Saskatchewan. She's the oldest of three children and the only one that had musical talent, which she says was inherited from her grandfather on her mother's side. He played fiddle, piano, and clarinet. At a young age, she would accompany her grandfather on guitar and sing as well. While living in northern British Columbia in the 1960s, she formed her own band. Because gigs were few and far between in the remote area, a person suggested she move to Vancouver, B.C., to increase her opportunities in the country music industry. A lack of outlets for her music, along with little money, stalled her career. An opportunity came up to tour the United States with an all-girl group, which she played piano and sang on some songs. That tour made her realize music was what she wanted to do with her life, and she moved across the border to Blaine, Washington by the late '60s. When she was not touring, her husband would play drums at local shows in the Pacific Northwest. When she was on the road, he would stay home and take care of their two boys and two girls. Her children were also singers and musicians.

Search Add 5 Vindva Mei Rúnar Magnússon / Pétur Eyvindsson Vindva Mei was formed in 1994 by the 3 northern boys Pétur Eyvindsson, Ásmundur Ásmundsson and Rúnar Magnússon. After a couple of performances Ásmundur left to focus on his studies in visual arts. Vindva Mei kept going as a duo, throwing itself in different directions. With the 2 member´s different preferences, Péturs more rhythmical, melodic structures and Rúnar´s more abstract soundscapes people could never know what to expect. After Rúnar moved to Denmark in late ´96 Vindva mei slowed down. Working when the members met in Iceland or Denmark resulted in 3 albums but fewer and fewer live performances. In the last couple of years Vindva Mei has recorded new material and has decided to perform again after years of absence from the stage. First performance was in august 2010 where Vindva Mei played a short set of new material for an enthusiastic audience in Reykjavík.
