Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Brothers Egg | Brothers Egg formed in 2015 in Wilmington, NC when brothers [a=Jamie Eggleston] and [a=Hunter Eggleston] teamed-up with [a=Suzanna Crist] to forge a vibrant, individual sound from their wide range of instruments and musical influences. Their music reflects an eclectic and driving blend of Roots Rock, Bluegrass, Country and World Music. Brothers Egg hatched after James spent time living in South Africa, where he honed his ear for African rhythms and melodies while traveling and surfing around the country. In the meantime, Hunter thru-hiked, solo the 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail where he gained a newfound appreciation for American roots music and Appalachian bluegrass. The brothers returned home with new song ideas and a fresh approach to songwriting. Suzanna Crist was discovered by James at an open mic night at Grinders Café in Wilmington, NC. Upon hearing her sing and play, James decided to play some of his own songs and asked Suzanna if she would sit in on violin. A strong musical connection was felt, and a positive reaction from the room followed. Weekly jam sessions ensued and Suzi eventually accepted the brothers invitation to join the band. Contributing tasteful fiddle hooks and harmonies, Suzanna brings a unique musical element to the Brothers Egg. James and Hunter's father, [a=David Eggleston] played drums and recorded with some infamous R&B and rock bands out of Richmond, VA in the 1980’s and now frequently joins his kids on stage behind the drum kit. [a=Jimmy Thompson (8)] was spotted in Raleigh, NC while playing bass with the alt. country outfit the [a=Debonzo Brothers]. James took note of his tasteful playing, and when the band relocated to Raleigh, Jimmy was asked to join. A veteran of the Raleigh music scene, Jimmy's playing is unassuming yet packs with a punch. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Halfsilks | Halfsilks is the result of bassist/ vocalist Karen (of Gym Tonic, The Anna Thompsons, Canyon Spree) and drummer/ vocalist Jana (of Point No Point, Soft Grid, Dropout Patrol) dragging synth player Marcia into the rehearsal room to find out what their shared musical influences from 60s girl groups to post-punk could convey. Initially more of a loose project, Halfsilks quickly became an actual band as the members’ professional and musical lives came to a halt over the last months. Instead they turned to writing synth-driven, angular pop songs about horses, outdated technologies and female role-models and recorded a first demo. | |

He was the scourge of Democratic Representative "Boss" Tweed and the Tammany Hall Democratic party political machine. Among his notable works were the creation of the modern version of Santa Claus and the political symbol of the elephant for the Republican Party. Contrary to popular belief, Nast did not create Uncle Sam (the male personification of the American people), Columbia (the female personification of American values), or the Democratic donkey, though he did popularize these symbols through his artwork. | Search | Add | 2 | Victor Menace | Victor Menace | ‘Victor Menace’ is the instrumental brainchild of alternative composer and musician Ruth Theodore (Guardian ****/ MOJO****). Forming the band back in 2006, the sheer pace and infectious danceability, was an instant hit on the festival circuit and within a few years ‘Victor Menace’, fronted by Theodore on Violin and Alejandro Toledo (The Magic Tombolinos) on sax, was headlining the world music stages at Bestival, Hackney WickED, and Glastonbury’s Shangri-La stage. Soon after the release of their self titled debut record, the band sadly split as key members moved overseas and Theodore went on to release a further three acclaimed solo records. But at 3am on New Years Eve 2016, she declared war once more and reformed the band, with the original bassist and fellow composer Mike Limmer (La Chula), Lucien Windrich (eVoid) on acoustic, Haruna Komatsu (No Cars) on Clarinet and Sax, Luke Upperton (Ska-prest) on lead electric, and Arturs Reirs (Eugene "Hideaway" Bridges / Steve Nimmo Trio) on drums. Remembered for their infamously energetic live shows the band were instantly asked back to Bestival 2016 and are now on the rampage. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Petit Gateau | Raphael Drouskaniev | ‘Petit Gâteau’ is an outstanding recipe born in Paris in the family stove. In 2010, ‘Petit Gâteau’ decided to grow up by becoming the very first biscuit of the electronic French scene. Influenced by artists from everywhere, from The Timewriter to Dominik Eulberg, from Julio Bashmore to Trentemoller, also from Eek a mouse to Chris Liberator, he started a crispy and tasty adventure. Between Deep House and cocktails on the beach, catchy Minimal and vitamin C, but also PsyTrance, ‘Petit Gâteau’ stands out from traditional recipes by bringing the coolness of a ‘salade niçoise’ but with this strong and unusual taste of the ‘Moutarde de Dijon’ (Dijon Mustard). |

| Search | Add | 2 | Dropweight | Emerging from Sydney based band Crane No.6', who, in their three year history clocked up over 100 shows, toured Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide & just about everywhere in-between. They played with national & international acts such as The Mark of Cain, Shihad, Grinspoon, Nitocris, Strapping Young Lad (Canada), Henrys Anger & Alchemist to name a few. Distributed through MDS on DC records their debut EP received a lot of attention. They were featured as the band of the month', appearing on the front cover of the French music magazine Planet Hard'. The full length of their EP was played on Triple J's Three Hours of Power', & airplay over local stations such as 2SER. They were also included on the Triple J compilation album Thirteen'. Crane No.6 went their separate ways early in 1998. So this is where they are now, Jason Brown (bass/vocals), Jason Schellhorn (guitar/vocals) & Brother Gary Schellhorn (drums) formed in September 98'. By January 99' they had recorded all of their pre-production, which by August 99' would become their debut EP spins you', released through P.O.P. & distributed by MGM. Recorded at Velvet Sound Studios' Sydney over 4 days & mastered by Steve Smart at Studio 301. The 4 track EP features a unique concept developed by the band called A.V. (audio vision.) It offers something a little different for people while still maintaining the potent presence of all the music. The shows they have started with have proven to be very ambitious so far, while opening for Monster Magnet, a sold out show at the Metro in Sydney, the Testeagles, Insurge, Dogbouy, Tumbleweed, Jebediah, Area 7, The get up kids(USA), Scream Feeder, loki, Nunchukka Super Fly, Thumlock, Rollerball, Segression, Fresh Fabrik from Hungary and many other local bands throughout Sydney, Costa Zouliou of Triple J's Three Hours of Power' has been giving the EP plenty of airplay as with many other community & regional radio stations. Dropweight plan to tour with their EP spins you' throughout 2000. They will, as they are already, starting & finishing work on their next project, a debut album to be released midway through 2000. For a lot more information check out the website www.dropweight.com.au, Keep an ear out for the EP, the new sounds, the film clip to 'dan dan' as being played on MTV & Channel V, or better still, get along to see them live, you too will be caught up in all that is dropweight | |
