Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Banner. | Banner. is a songwriter born and raised in The Hague, The Netherlands and is known from 'nothing'. Being a self-taught guitarist since the age of fourteen, his songwriting career took off when he was eighteen, performing his songs on small stages. Currently he is studying popmusic at the Herman Brood Academy in The Netherlands with a major in vocals. Growing up by the sea, for Banner. the horizon is symbolic for a person's personality: "what you see is the sea, the reflection is what a person shows you and what's underneath the surface stays hidden." The song "Compass" can be described as conceptual and creative guitar-fingerpicking indiefolk/pop with a solid instrumental part towards the end. Influences like Queens Of The Stone Age, Fink and Sticky Fingers can be heard, and it also reminisces Radiohead, Pink Floyd and David Sylvian.

Search | Add | 2 | Born With a Basic Goodness | Born With a Bbasic Goodness is a metal-hardcore project, born roughly three years ago. After one year spent finding a personal sound, that included anger and frustration - of course - but also some smiles, the band signed with Overdub Recordings. “Based on your preferences”, the band’s first full-length album, was produced at Monolith Recording Studio by Filippo Buono. It is somewhat of a concept album that talks about our alternative lives, the ones we all live on Social Networks; about the issues and the horrors created there. And also about all those things that frankly make us laugh preeetty hard.

Search | Add | 2 | Mr Mora | Mr Mora | Born in 1974 in Rabat (capital of Morocco). DJ Mora, grew up in Marrakech, city where the worldwide cultures mix with the Moroccan traditions giving it a worldwide single character. In 1991, Mr Mora obtains his Bachelor diploma and 10 years afterwards, he obtains his PhD in environmental sciences. Since he was a youngster, Mr Mora listened to all kinds of music, from classical ones to the darkest passing through the Blues, Jazz, R'n'B, Pop, Funky, Rap, Hip Hop, Arabic. His passion for music pushes him to organize and plays in parties where he could bewith his friends, and it is there that he discovers his talent of being a producer. To make his friends feel the tracks differently, Mora, still amateur DJ, acquired a computer, dating from prehistory and some audio softwares to be able to compile his tracks. And there, it happens! The desire for producing his own tracks took possession of Mora. Y2K! An era where things are moving fastly, new technologies are developed and EDM takes seat among the music of rising generation. Thus Mr Mora falls in love with EDM. Being of nature independent, he wants to be identified with a kind of music which shows at the same time his origins and involves them in this new era where we live. |

Search | Add | 2 | Blue Dog Pict | The band released three albums: The Picture Album (1990), Anxiety of Influence: a nodding into...? (1992), and Spindly Light Und Wax Rocketines (1995). Blue Dog Pict was one of Toronto’s most beloved and misunderstood bands of the early 90’s. Between rave reviews and abject bewilderment, the media recognized their musicality and organically grown and fiercely loyal and colorful audience, one that the Toronto Star and MuchMusic likened to a cult, while others used analogies like a flying saucer wreck on Easter Island or any number of bemused adjectives to attempt to explain what they witnessed or perceived from the outside. Their songs were in regular rotation on college radio throughout North America for half a decade and their self-released albums got international distribution from Distribution FUSION III out of Montreal and Yikes! Records in the Unites States. Their song "One Hour's Sleep" was featured in the Degrassi TV Movie "School's Out."

Search | Add | 2 | Judgment | JUDGMENT were a Thrash band formed in Cork around 1987 and eventually split around 1992/3. They played all over Ireland and had two releases... ‘Chemical Amusement Park’ and ‘Perfect Murder’. The band then changed tack and another couple of demos tracks were recorded in 1992 which took the band in a more mainstream direction. These tracks were never officially released and the band soon evolved into Mr. NSF… a sort of Alt/Funk/Rock outfit. A far cry from their Thrashy beginnings. Mr. NSF released an EP in 1993 called ‘Leave The Lies’ and another the following year called ‘Nobody’. Roll on another year and the band had evolved yet again. This time releasing another demo under the name ANASAZI. None of these later releases are Metal, but more Alt/Rock and mainstreem sounding. Some members moved to Australia and eventually and Oz/Irish band emerged called FOR ENEMIES OF REASON. One EP has been recorded and released to date. All the releases listed above have been made available for free download on Soundcloud. Link below…

Search | Add | 2 | Puma Jones | Sandra Jones | Sandra "Puma" Jones (October 5, 1953—January 28, 1990) was an American singer, best known as a member of the Grammy Award-winning reggae group Black Uhuru. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Jones graduated from Columbia University in New York City. She studied dance with the Chuck Davis troupe where she took a particular interest in African dance. After becoming disillusioned with city life she declared a need to "discover her roots" and moved to Jamaica. Deciding to build a singing career, Jones sang with the band Sons of Negus led by Ras Michael. In 1978, she was introduced by a mutual friend to Derrick "Duckie" Simpson, the leader of reggae group Black Uhuru. That group was undergoing a significant lineup change that also included the addition of singer Michael Rose. Jones became a full member of Black Uhuru and sang on seven studio albums, starting with Showcase in 1979 and also including the critically acclaimed Red in 1981 and Anthem in 1983. Jones was noted for adding lyrics on religious and social topics to Black Uhuru songs, during a period when reggae musicians were often accused of being trite and dismissive of women, and she was also known for. her haunting voice. Her last full album with the group was Brutal in 1986. Before sessions began for the album Positive in 1987, Jones was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had to withdraw from Black Uhuru and was replaced by singer Olafunke. Jones returned to the United States for treatment and died at age 36 on January 28, 1990. She was buried near her family home in South Carolina. |
