Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Freak Nomad | Nikita | Freak Nomad - Russian minimalist, the first album was released in 2007, the album's title " New Account". The music of this musician has distinctive quality sound, melodies and rigidity are present in it, which is typical of the style of Minimal Techno, which in its turn is aimed at associative perception. In 2018 (11 years later) the album “New Account 2” was released, the composition of which took more than six months. In the second part you can see a higher-quality sound, excellent rhythm, the original Minimal Techno and the wonderful atmosphere of futurism. |

This is her first starring record. In 2014, she made By Reckless Moonlight with husband Jeff Kelly of the Green Pajamas. While a full collaborator in its creation, the press saw her as the junior player, an influencer, contributing tasty bits here and there and one lead vocal, the sensual “I’d Rather Be Filming in Vanda’s Room.” Green Monkey Records said Viva! More! We now have more. The album is produced by Mr. Kelly and while some of his uniquely best work, make no mistake: this is Susanne’s album. Search | Add | 4 | Bernard Moussali | Bernard Moussali (1953, Beirut -1996, Paris) was an Associate Professor of Arab Literature, and Lecturer at the Sorbonne, he had dedicated his research to Arab Music, with an open-mindedness he passionately defended. Born to a Syrian-Lebanese father and a Belgian mother, he carried within a multiculturality that was at the core of his too short scientific career. Gifted with an uncommon spirit of enquiry and with rare erudition, attentive reader of Ṭabarī, of ‘Abd al-Ghanī al-Nābulsī as well as of Umberto Eco or simply of crime novels, Bernard Moussali was known for his often categorical judgements and his quick wit that made of him and intellectual who was admired as much as he was feared. He published very little, always reworking the texts he patiently prepared. In the field of Arab Literature, we only know of a single course by him, that remained a manuscript, on Maḥmūd Darwīsh’s work; but he had also started writing a History of Contemporary Arabic Literature that remained unfinished. Bernard Moussali had established himself as a well-informed amateur and a passionate listener of early 20th century Arab Music that he thought was more important to immerse oneself in than to analyse. Like Christian Poché or Frédéric Lagrange, he gave priority to archiving, particularly through 78rpm discs that reflected a period he considered to be unjustly forgotten. In this capacity, he contributed, with Christian Poché, to the first CD re-release of Arab Music records (Ocora, Arab World Institute, 1987). His research work mainly concerned the 1932 Cairo Congress of Arab Music. He had dedicated to this subject his master’s dissertation (1980) and was preparing on the same theme a doctorate thesis that was unfortunately interrupted because of his illness. Nevertheless, he participated to the re-release of a selection of 78rpm discs recorded in Cairo in 1932, once again with Christian Poché (IMA, Bnf, 1989). His uncompromising analysis of the debates of the Cairo Congress[1] had raised his awareness about he importance of the influence of Ottoman Music on its Arab counterpart during the last centuries, and he learned Turkish in order to better exploit these sources. He also often pointed out the essential role, ignored later on, of numerous minorities –Christians, Jews and others– as to the origins of “Arab Music”. Regarding the Egyptian hegemonism at the 1932 Congress, he brought out the historical contribution of Syria in the 18th and the 19th centuries. Bernard Moussali mainly published CD booklets, around twenty, including mostly audio archives, but also some live concerts, elevating the disc’s value to that of an anthology, thanks to his always precise erudition as well as to his passionate loquacity: a lyrical listener who knew how to steer himself in an era of statistics and technicity.

Noir, and then joined in 1998 by Ernst Bishop. Noir and Bishop completed their first album C-SECTION which was released by Coma-Dose Creations (CDC) in 2000. Joe Pagano (aka "Pagan") is now a full time member of the punk band VOTING WITH BULLETS. Noir continues making music with his solo project [a=KUBIKZAHL], but is currently working on material as the new lead vocalist for the band HexRx.

Search | Add | 4 | Midnight Heist | Born out of the legendary Pork Chop Sessions in Detroit at the peak of the ‘80s Pink Sugar Rush craze, the Downtown Detroit Midnight Heist Association (as they were then known) was a teaming cooperative of likeminded musicians, disc jockeys, dancers and adult performers with a shared sense of creative freedom and sexual liberation. Their week-long parties, thrown in almost complete darkness at the long-defunct Silver Kly-Maxx Factory, are the stuff of legend. Over three decades on and The Heist is down to the two last surviving members, a pair of incognito veritable DJ-producers, still joyfully entwined in the murky world of nocturnal entertainment - with no sign of slowing in tempo. Despite their current whereabouts a mystery, the pair find time to regularly package off dubplates, worth their weight in gold, from their historic musical archive to London-based label Bona Fido in a bid to share their unique spiritual legacy to the world.

Search | Add | 4 | Moral Excerpt | Different times require different methods, different problems ask for different solutions. In an era without much sense or reason, without a clear path if not one toward annihilation, old morality becomes an excerpt, a footnote in the abysmal history of mankind. Moral Excerpt is born out of all of this unrelenting decay, a devilish creature without a stable place in time and space. Francesco Presotto, already know as the mind behind the noise outfit Geometria Nervosa and the mutant techno project Søulless, unites forces with music reviewer, underground composer and copywriter Davide Pappalardo a.k.a. Førgotten and Abismø, going one step further in the pursuit of modern noise music with roots in the past. By mixing harsh noise, ambient, orchestral music, rhythmic mantras, they want to achieve a sound with a purpose and far from both today's fashionable scenes and tiresome clichés. Expect a score for our age, sonic comments about politics, society, inner turmoils, and the violent side of existence — rage, melancholy, confusion, moments of epiphany picture a contradictory world with nothing certain but death.
