Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Travis McKeveny | Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter/gonzo haikuist. Travis McKeveny grew up on Long Island’s south shore in a decidedly musical household — his father, Gerry, is a professional guitarist, nowadays best-known as a member of the esteemed folk-rock trio Gathering Time — and by his early twenties McKeveny began tunesmithing in earnest. He hasn’t stopped since. His debut album, Last Year’s Leaves (2012), met with critical acclaim, garnering him comparisons to John Prine and Tom Waits. McKeveny’s sophomore effort, October Porches and Second Hand Fears (2015) — produced by The Infamous Stringdusters’ Andy Falco — represented a major leap forward, sonically and lyrically. Recently, McKeveny again joined forces with Falco, this time to write “1901: A Canyon Odyssey,” which appeared on the Stringdusters’ Grammy-winning album Laws of Gravity (2017). McKeveny has opened for such nationally touring acts as Todd Sheaffer (of Railroad Earth) and Chuck Prophet. With Pete Mancini he write songs and played live. He plans to continue writing, singing, and playing “till the wheels fall off,” and not a minute sooner. This year he suddenly passed away (09-16-2021) in the age of 35. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Lorenzo Gasperoni Mamud Band | Mamud Band | With over twenty-five years of career, Mamud Band, a historic italian afrofunk ensemble, returns to the stage with renewed energy and a fresh lineup. Founded and led by artistic director and percussionist Lorenzo Gasperoni, the band has experienced years of musical evolution, collaborating with legends such as trumpeter Lester Bowie and drummers Tony Allen and Stewart Copeland. These encounters, enriched by contributions from international artists like Ivorian choreographer Jerald Dibi, Burkinabè percussionist Harouna Dembele, and Cuban drummer Rodney Barreto, reflect a global vision of music that sincerely and respectfully embraces diverse cultures and traditions. The band’s sixth album,, "The Monkey Tapes", released in 2022 under the Garrincha GoGo label, marked a pivotal moment in the band’s evolution. This work blends ethnic percussion and electronic elements, creating the signature sound of Mamud Band: a tension between vintage sonorities and the exploration of new musical horizons. Today, the band presents a renewed sextet lineup: alongside founder Lorenzo Gasperoni, we have Massimo Marcer (trumpet and electronics), Niccolò Barozzi (synth and sampler), Oscar Mapelli (guitar and electronics), Ivo Barbieri(bass and vocals), and Nico Roccamo (drums). Together, they deliver an even more refined sound, where guitar, synth, and percussion merge to create unexpected harmonic and melodic textures, enhanced by echoes and delays. The rhythm section, comprised of bass, drums, and percussion, is relentless and captivating, generating grooves that are both complex and deeply danceable. This balance between vintage and modernity celebrates the legacy of the 1970s while maintaining a continuous drive toward contemporary sonic exploration. |

| Search | Add | 4 | synta[xe]rror | synta [XE] rror is a duo of Bartosz “Kostia” Jakubicki and Artur “Blacha” Błaszczyk hailing from Wrocław in southern Poland. Project came to life in the late ‘90s. Guys officialy released 2 albums – “Abyad” in 2006 on Polish War Office Propaganda and “Final” on Italian Ars Benevola Mater. A little over a year ago, and 14 years after the well-received "Final" (ABM 2007), the SYNTA [XE] RROR duo broke a long silence to publish the album "[.] DOT" in Zoharum, an unreleased before material, recorded in a relatively short time since their debut for Italian label, being a natural consequence of the previous album with many references, visible in the composition layer, in a similar sound and building a climate. We dealt with interesting, slightly broken electronics, kept in the IDM style, with a slightly industrial vibe. The new material brings many changes. Then we deal with electronics in the IDM convention, but more massive, because the emphasis is on building structures based on a heavy kick drum and strongly dehumanized, almost mechanical rhythm. Multilayered percussion, intertwined with emotional melody, filling the space with which the music from "[.] DOT" is associated, have been changed here with a rough, almost metallic sound, thickening with every minute of the slowly unraveling machine, announcing the inevitable cataclysm, crime or maybe apocalypse. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Prism Theory | Formed in 1998 Prism Theory is: Barry Davis - Guitars, Backup Vocals Dirk Keylor - Bass Chris Imlay - Lead Vocals, Keys Drew Pencook - Drums Our bodies are machines, controlled by energy and electrical impulses, and energy never ceases to exist, it just changes. Because of that constant transfer of energy, human beings can allow themselves to be emotionally connected to everything around them. From the air we breathe to the warmth of the sun and even the alignments of the planets themselves; we are connected. It is a theory that when we are conceived our bodies come in contact with wandering energies. Energies that map out our talents, personality and entire outlook on the life we live. Prism Theory has always been a focused band which, from day one, has always been about the music. The drive of learning and playing technical and musical songs came from some of their favorite groups such as: Dream Theater, Tool and Rush. Because of such groups, Prism Theory developed their skills of writing and arranging more thought-out and intricately complex sections to their music. Don't be taken by the musicianship of the band alone, they are influenced by the most assertive of bands such as: Sevendust, Korn and Pantera. These bands helped shape Prism Theory’s cutting edge of powerful, drop-tuned sounds that define their style as ‘edgy.’ By also adding catchy vocal melodies and tight harmonies (King's X) to the mix, they’ve created a very high-energy emotional ride, which captures the essence of their sound. Finally, adding the dark topics and personal conflicts of lyrics, the songs still leave you with a feeling or a sign of hope and a positive outlook on life. People are drawn to Prism Theory for these reasons. The songs allow you to feel something and at the same time the music is constantly changing around you to keep you on your toes. "Our vision is to create music in the same way that a prism separates white light into the entire spectrum. The same way blue can make you feel melancholy, or red can symbolize angry emotions, but when put together you get one whole unit.” says lead vocalist Chris Imlay. It’s that spirituality and passion for music that shines through with every performance. What you see are four artists who take you through every emotion, every time, with just the right touch of rage, range and class. That musicality has earned them numerous opening spots for national acts including progressive super group Planet X, Flaw, Greenwheel, Beautiful Creatures, 8 Stops 7 and My Own Victim. The same virtues have also earned them their own headlining shows throughout the region. "The bottom line is we take our music seriously and put 100 percent into everything we do. We want to make you think, we want to share our perspective, and we want you to leave the show wanting more." | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Chaoskeeper | Electronic/vocal/rock band from St.Petersburg, Russia. Started by Artyom and Sheez in 2012 with numerous experiments with sound as an attempt to make something trip-hop-like with overdriven guitars and strings but turned out to sound heavier and darker. The band came to life officially in 2014, publishing their studio-live video "Monsterize". Just before they released their first album "Personal Effects" in 2015, Eggor had joined the band and helped finishing the last song on the album — "Eleven". The second album "Misplaced" was composed by the trio and released in 2018. After that the band unintentionally took a half-year pause, and only appeared to the public again to play a number of semi-acoustic live shows during the summer of 2019. One of that shows happened in Reykjavík, Iceland. Then the project was seemingly put on pause again. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Akere | The trio of singer Sarah Sulai, Hans Hustle, producer and guitarist, and drum pad enthusiast Manu L One takes the listener on a journey somewhere, though exactly where is hard to tell. Maybe it’s somewhere between worlds; a parallel dimension between Hip Hop and Jazz, glitch drums and gentle harmonies, between groaning synthesizers and warm guitar riffs; somewhere between narrowness and infinite space. Inspired by artists such as Flying Lotus and Portishead, Akere experiments and creates music that lands far away from any stereotype. The group does not force a mix of existing genres. Instead, the resulting sound feels natural and effortless. Akere makes the music they want to make, or they have to make, or simply, that they make. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Thunderduk | Spawned from the fertile musical grounds of Cleveland, Ohio, Thunderduk was part of a local scene that included the likes of The James Gang, Glass Harp, Bang and Dragonwyck. Their desire to play original music and their on stage antics made them one of the top draws on the club circuit in the early 70's. The combination of Phil Hilow's folk background and the versatility of Jeff Ulmicher produced a sound that included intricate rock ballads and long complicated concert pieces. The foundation of their sound lied within the Bass work of Gary Wallis who spend many hours working on the band's equipment and developing new sound techniques to enhance the band's overall presentation. Rounding out the band was Bob Turchek on Drums who was later replaced by ex-Catscradle drummer Rick Fischer. Most of the material heard on this album was played by the band on two Agency Studio live broadcasts carried by local radio station WNCR. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Marty Kapugi | Martin Kapudjija | Martin Kapugi was born in 1910 in Chicago, Illinois. There he spent most of his life, with the exception of several years when his parent took him to their native Yugoslavia. There he attended school, learning the native language, customs, and folklore. It became a real asset to him in later years pursuing his music career. After returning to the United States, he lived in West Virginia, playing the banjo and saxophone, but soon turned to the tamburitza (brac). Since then he became a major figure in Yugoslavian and ethnic music as a singer and brac and cello player. As a singer, it is difficult to describe his voice ... an effortless strong tenor that has thrilled and inspired all who have heard him. There is no better description than "Yoy!" He formed his first tamburitza orchestra in 1929, with his brothers joining him in Chicago. In his orchestra he had many outstanding musicians such as Art Milacek, Vaso Bukvich, Djoko Dokich, Mel Dokich, Matt Jursich, and Bella Balog to mention a few. He began his teaching career as the mentor of his brothers, Frank, Louis, and Adam, and he taught young tamburitzans since 1950. He did much to encourage Yugoslavian youth and to keep the tamburitza alive in America. Several currently well-known tambura players began their career as Marty's pupils. In the late 1940s and 50s, his orchestra established a nightclub known as "The Tamburitza Cafe", featuring his tamburitza orchestra. Their music included Yugoslav and other continental styles, as well as light classics. Among many distinguished guests, Tamburitza Cafe was frequently visited by members of the famous Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In the late 1950s, Marty and his tamburitzans performed weekly for a radio program over radio station WTAQ. The program was called "The Balkan Musical Caravan", and was under the direct sponsorship of the Balkan Music Company of Chicago. The announcer was the well known, international music program director, Rudy Orisek. Rudy Orisek's "International Cafe" television show featured Marty's orchestra in solo performances as well as the accompaniment for internationally renowned artists, such as Martha Schlame, Judy Henske, the well known gypsy violinist David Romaine, and many more. Marty's work is preserved in his many recordings; so numerous, in fact, that it would be difficult to list them all. He made recordings for RCA Victor, Decca, Continental, Columbia, and Zora, but his favorite company was and still is Balkan Records. Besides his own recordings, he accompanied well known Yugoslavian artists such as Vinka Ellesin (crowned 'Queen of Sevdah'), Edo Lubich, Rasha Radenkovich, Urash Seferovich, and many more. He also arranged several Yugoslav songs, among them his favorite "Nema Miga Cange", recorded on Balkan Records. Marty and his tamburitza orchestra toured the United States several times, concertizing with many famous musicians, such as the late Dave Zupkovich. The friends and fans he made during these tours still cherish his recordings. Besides being a conscientious tamburas, Marty is also, as his many affectionate friends insist, a 'regular guy'. Besides being kind, good-natured, and helpful, he belongs to several Yugoslav clubs and other organizations. He was the first tamburas in the Chicago area that joined the musicians' union, and he was a member of the defunct Chicago Tamburitza Club. Presently, besides teaching young tamburitza orchestras, Marty plays for many Yugoslav programs, dances, weddings, and picnics. Members of his group are his brother Frank Kapugi, Urosh Mamula, and Steve Makarovich. Marty Kapugi and his "Sar Planina Orchestra" have done a truly extraordinary job in bringing tamburitza music to many Americans of varied ethnic backgrounds. His work will not be forgotten for many years to come. Congratulations, Marty, on a job well done. |
