Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 4 Xaque Diogo Santos, Lee Miranda, Tony Cirne, Peter Cabrita, Pedro da Costa, Burt Fernandes, William Condesso Xaque” pronounced (shock) is a Luso-American band from the New Jersey / Philadelphia area. The Portuguese word Xaque means “Checkmate”. Formed in 1992 when a few friends and original members of the band Xaque, met to record a few songs while experimenting with new recording equipment. Within months they found themselves expressing their Western European musical roots and sharing tales of heroes and heritage. Full of vigor and inspiration, they enthusiastically continued to record and draw together individuals with similar aspirations to contribute to their projects. In the summer of 1994, a vision and conviction had emerged. And as they say; the rest is history. XAQUE’S debut recording, "EVOLUÇÃO", released in 1995 was the result of their journey in the recording studio. As sons of first generation Portuguese immigrants, the undertone was to convey social awareness, political upheaval and fond remembrance of their founding fathers. Shortly after the release of "EVOLUÇÃO", XAQUE performed in various concerts in the United States with well-established performers from Portugal. XAQUE proved their worth when they took center stage at the Portuguese American Heritage Concert at the TRUMP TAJ MAHAL (Atlantic City NJ). Sharing the stage with XAQUE was [a661010], [a767164], [a1474205] and Fernando Pereira. Shortly thereafter XAQUE joined [a125903] for a three concert series of LOUD MUSIC and FUN in New Jersey. XAQUE remains the only US based band to have performed in concert with Portuguese artists of this magnitude… Having fostered a relationship with [a661010], XAQUE believed his collaboration on their recordings would bring more awareness to their project. In the Winter of 1996 Rui Veloso returned to the United States to participate. Today XAQUE find themselves survivors of life’s challenges, and on October 15th of 2002, the anticipation ends. Xaque will release their much-anticipated follow up CD to EVOLUCAO UNPLUGGED titled ALMA NUA. Xaque's "Herói do Mar - Unplugged" was nominated for the 2013 IPMA awards for best Rock Song.

Search Add 4 Triple s Aruba Triple S Triple “S” which stands for Super Solid Sound was founded in 1981, with their first public performance on Tuesday, June 9, 1981, at the Watapana Festival. The goal of the band from the beginning is: TO PROMOTE THE CULTURE OF ARUBA THROUGH MUSIC. The great support Triple “S” received from the start gave them the push to begin recording their compositions on disc. That same year Triple “S” recorded their first 45 with the successful song “TUMA TUR”, followed by “SIGI ASINA”. The rhythm of both compositions is “ARUDANS”, a style created by Triple “S”. In 1982 Triple “S” was awarded on various occasions as best band of the year. The band won, among others, the “GOLD ARUBA AWARD”, “FRIENDSHIP AWARD”, and also the “BASHUL AWARD”. During Carnival ’83 they were again awarded as the best band of the year. As a token of appreciation, the band Triple “S” dedicated their first Long Play to the people of Aruba, introducing with it the rhythm “ARUDANS”, which is a very good rhythm for Carnival parades.

Search Add 4 Jagger Jack Gael Huet Jagger Jack has discovered the 'Thunderdome compilations' at the age of eleven. These early beginnings led him later to explore the world of Free Parties, mostly to see the Dj [a=Manu le Malin] playin'. He saw him at a 'Futuria', that felt just like a punch in the face. The urge to play his own music grew stronger until one day he scored his first set of decks. The will to play in public pushed him to participate in organising Free Parties around the french Alps. After a while he decided to organise legal parties where he could invite and sometimes play with djs of all styles and all origins. While other European countries can claim to support a vibrant electronic alternative culture the same can not be said of metropolitan France. With up to 5000 people gathering together the perception of local authorities toward "techno culture" and the resulting constraints are just killing it. As an activist for the industrial hardcore sound in France, Dj [a=Jagger Jack] created [l=Hardcore Deluxe Records], the label on which one he has already composed with [a=Pirate Mind] two Ep :"Share your agression part I " and "part II". Today influenced by "IST style", the Dutch gabber sound and the industrial sound generally, he deliver us powerful, melodious, structured hardcore, in the rather rare tones in France. Indeed far from the "frenchcore" and from the sound "tribe" in overproduction in our country, Jagger Jack proposes us a pleasantly surprising musical alternative with his compositions and mid-tempo mix.

Search Add 4 Devino Fortunato US Gangsta Rap artist from San Joe, CA. Devino Fortunato was an Oakland-area rapper who burst onto the scene with 2002's Cognac Loungin' for the upstart Bay Area label Real Smooth. While his work as an EMT kept him busy by day, by night it was the G-funk world of liquor, cars, women, and hustling. It was the latter that informed the content of his debut, an independent album that nevertheless boasted high-quality West Coast-style production and Fortunato's own boast-filled flow, which at times suggested the unadorned honesty of 2Pac. After his spectacular debut, Fortunato appeared at numerous Real Smooth events with labelmates Xeno and Tazz.

Search Add 4 Katrineholms Kammarkör Swedish mixed amateur choir from Katrineholm. The choir was created in 1974 by the cantor and teacher Ingemar Peterson (1926–2016). Peterson was the choir's conductor until the spring of 2009, when he led a farewell concert in Floda Church, where he previously worked as a cantor. Since its inception, Katrineholm's chamber choir has had a mixed sacred and profane repertoire - from the 16th century onwards. The chorus has taken inspiration from Eric Ericson. In 1986, Katrineholm's chamber choir was named Choir of the Year at the choir meeting in Skinnskatteberg. Prior to that, in 1982 the first prize had been shared at a driving competition in Debrecen, Hungary. The choir has toured in several European countries. One of the choir's major performances at home in Katrineholm was when they together with the Music Society in Katrineholm - now Katrineholm Symphony Orchestra - performed Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson's musical Chess in the autumn of 1990. Among other major performances are Joseph Haydns Skapelsen and Johann Sebastian Bachs Johannespassionen. A regularly recurring tradition is an Advent and Christmas concert - for theological reasons now called Advent vespers - in Nävertorp's church, Katrineholm. Since 1979, Katrineholm's Chamber Choir has released four LPs and a cassette tape with Christmas carols. All four LPs have a tree trunk with linden leaves by Katrineholm artist Calle Jonzon (died 2008) on the cover. Ingemar Peterson has also been conductor of Katrineholm's men's choir, Floda church choir and Nävertorp's church choir. He has also been chairman of Katrineholm's chamber music association.

Search Add 4 Eski Mills Shaun James Eski Mills is a British record producer, composer and DJ whose work consists of Electronic music. Deeply inhabited by electronic music, Mills adopts his concepts, stories and aesthetics from the outset. His obsession for sound and electronic music is creating a positive state of mind, searching for a magical place out of this world almost away from reality, which doesn't exist until the individual gets there. Each individual has different destinations of where music takes them. Music takes you on a journey to nowhere. But sometimes that nowhere is somewhere. Depending on how far the mind travels, we reach new points in the universe which we never knew existed. Mills solely founded his record label Innersound Digital in 2020, using the name as a reminder to always create your art from your true inner self and what makes you happy. Mills continues to travel through the electronic music world leaving behind his art.

Search Add 4 Free Advertizement Free Advertizement was an early brainchild of Korn Wall Us aka Matthew Wallace. Originally started to create remixes and learn production techniques, Free Advertizement soon began writing new original material. Later joined by Pete Za, the song "Pizza Mafia" was written and garnered some attention through DIY marketing and minor radio play on KMYZ's Home Groan radio show. After some time of inactivity, Pete Za was removed from the project and Korn Wall Us began collaborating with JdubC and Patrick Ward on a new album titled "Music Maker". The project was officially abandoned in 2009 when work began on new musical endeavors.

Search Add 4 Too Much For The White Man Irish Reggae band from Tuam in County Galway who formed in 1985 and disbanded in the early 90s. The idea of the group came together when band members were living in London. While in the UK capital, the band started playing with Jamaican musicans. This gave rise to their interest in reggae. Leo Moran only remained with the group for a short time as he left in 1986 to form [a=The Saw Doctors]. They returned to Tuam in 1987. They derived their name from a rough translation of a Spanish phrase. Band member, John Brogan, had just returned home from the Canary Islands where the heat there was described as being 'Too Much For The Whiteman'. Put Your Mind At Ease reached Number 28 in Ireland on the 13th of October 1988 where it stayed for one week. They also contributed the track 'Try A Little Harder' to the soundtrack of 'The Courier', a film featuring Gabriel Byrne and Patrick Bergin. Too Much For The Whiteman split in the early 90s. However, they reformed on the 22nd of August 2015 to perform live at the SugarBeat Festival in Tuam Stadium. On the 29th of April 2017 they played live again at The Brogue Bar, Tuam in honour of their late bass player [a=Dermot Holian] aka Der who had lost his battle with cancer on the 18th of July 2015. The proceeds of that gig went towards Galway Hospice. Line up: Martin 'Mouse' McHugh - Vocals Mike Ivory - Guitar Axel Grude - Keyboards Dermot Holian - Bass Gerry McHugh - Percussion Alan Flynn - Drums Danny Kelly - Trombone John Brogan - Drums

Search Add 4 Ni Zheng ni zheng (b. 1997, cn) is a sound artist and composer of electroacoustic music, creating sonic rituals that conjure the erotic and poetics of the body and muse on the carnality and grotesque of the flesh. her practice calls for a descent into untamed territory, dwelling in and listening intently to the swampy pool of undead, uncivilized feelings and emotions she considers her reserve, and exorcising raw impulses, negativity, rage, messiness as a libation and a tactic against all forms of domestication. ni is devoted to celebrating and catalyzing mystical state of ecstatic communication with both fellow humans and non-humans, she surrenders herself unconditionally to deviant and altered states of knowledge — intimate, sensual, relational, and immanent — in encounters with the other, the sacred, occulted, and chthonic realms of nature and the land she inhabits. her mediums of communication includes vocal performance that is visceral, feral, and atavistic, as well as sounds gathered through field recordings during visits to desolate and ravaged locations, and a fusion of electronic and acoustic instruments. she currently lives in san diego, california attending a phd program in music composition at uc san diego.

Schroeder. It was produced by P. Bellendir in 1997. It does not feature anything by Andrew Eldritch except some sampled vocals allegedly recorded over two days. Because of those sampled vocals, East West bought the record (without having heard it) and agreed to release Andrew from his recording contract. East West have not released the SSV album, but they did send tapes to the press. It is rumoured that the full name of the band (SSV-NSMABAAOTWMODAACOTIATW) apparently stands for "Screw Shareholder Value - not so much a band as another opportunity to waste money on drugs and ammunition, courtesy of the idiots at Time Warner".

Search Add 4 The Three Dons American instrumental backing group mostly out of Chicago, Illinois in the 1940's-50's. The Three Dons provided piano, bass and guitar accompaniment for other groups and singers including [a=Ginny Greer]. [a=Don Roseland] (center in picture) was the piano/accordion player. Don James Eagle (1917-1996), was their guitar player. The Dons had various fronting singers at times and were known as "The Three Dons and Bea (Berret)" (1942), the unnamed "The Three Dons And A Chick" (1946), "The Three Dons and Ginny (Greer)" (1953) and "The Three Dons and Deena" (1955) (see [a=Deena (8)]). The name of the third Don is still open to debate--Guitarist [a=Don Huston] (real name [a=Don Genson]) wrote songs for the group under pseudonyms. In 1943 the group split in two because [a=Danny Davis (4)] went into the army--with Bea Berret joining another group. [a=Everett Hull] played bass for the group in the 1940's and Sidney Jobe played for them as well. Don Roseland co-wrote the song "You've Got My Heart Talking Double Talk" (1946), which the Dons provided instrumentation on for [a=The Mello-Larks], co-written by one of The Mello-Larks [a=Tommy Hamm]. In 1952, The Three Dons had a weekly radio show on KECA out of Los Angeles, California.
