Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Shawn Mathews Shawn Mathews Best described as a multi-talented, genre-blurring artist, Shawn Mathews' music spills across the POP/R&B genres with Hip-Hop elements in them. Using popular synth melodies, Shawn adds a smooth vocal/lyrical performance to his songs which resemble the R&B styling of his influences Bazzi, Khalid, Dominic Fike, and Drake. Tackling topics such as heartbreak, mental health, and self-worth in his music, the Pennsylvania based artist has an extremely relevant feel to his songs and makes music that listeners can identify with. Shawn was signed to VALE in 2020 and released his EP Blue with them. His unique voice and style set him apart from others, along with his versatility and ability to tune in to current trends in music. His catchy rhythms are based on current hip hop music but are bouncy and vibrant. His debut EP Blue features six singles ‘Down Bad’, ‘Don’t Say Hi To Me’, ‘Erase It’, ‘Higher’, ‘Saved Me’, and ‘Hold Me Down’. Being a dancer and actor, Shawn fuses his love for dance and American Pop music to create his own unique brand of music. His love for performing and music equates to his electric stage presence when performing live. When he is not making music, Shawn is acting in regional musical theater productions or teaching his students hip-hop moves to the latest hits. Shawn also loves rapping to the tracks from Lin-Manuel's Miranda's superhit musical "Hamilton". Check out his performances on his YouTube Channel @

Search Add 2 PEDRA CONTIDA Given the nature of the location where the group was created (Aldeia da Cerdeira, Serra da Lousã), this quintet develops a musical work within the parameters of the definition or contradiction of silence versus sound, giving rise to the "abstract" definition of Pedra Contida (Contained Stone). A collective that is characterized by melodic restraint and pervasive silence. If some tradition comes from the new musical approaches of the twentieth century can be said then, that the addition of these five musicians did not happen by accident.

Timothy has played drums for The Album Leaf, Via Satellite, BULL SESSION, Limber Wolf and his electronic alter ego, Mass Praktikal. He passed away in Denver, CO, in May 2017. Timothy's artwork has become an extension of his career and travels as a musician. Prior to touring with post-rock bands he earned a BA in Psychology, minoring in Visual Art-Painting. His paintings and drawings have been featured in various solo and group exhibitions, and private collections, album artworks and book covers. He recorded and performed with The Album Leaf from 2001 to 2010, with whom he toured extensively in support of Sigur Ros. His painting was used as the cover art for the album "In a Safe Place", on Sub Pop Records. In 2010, he moved to Denver, became the founding general manager of the School of Rock Aurora and continued to create music & art and work as drum instructor. August 2016 he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. A GoFundMe campaign was set up to help curb his costs as he underwent Chemotherapy treatment. As a vegetarian of over 20 years, a certified yoga practitioner, and even at one time in his childhood a candidate for Olympic Training as a gymnast, Tim valued physical activity and proper care of his body, which made the news surprising. In March 27, 2017 he released his debut solo record 'To plan is a luxury - to dream, a birthright. under the name Mass Praktikal on Not Art Records via Bandcamp. It had a successful album release party on April 8 in Brooklyn, which Tim was unable to attend due to his health. His band Via Satellite were in the last stages of completing their final album, 'A Thousand Mountains.' In April 2017, he just finished and printed a poetry book titled, 'A Thousand Loves On Time'.

Search Add 2 Sicknest Polish Progressive Metal formed in 2011 in Katowice / Sosnowiec. The SickNest band was formed in January 2011 on the initiative of Gipson (guitar), Dave (drums), Sergei (keyboards) and Pilot (vocal). In April, Banan (guitar) joined, and Hipis (bass) soon followed. The adopted name reflects what happens musically inside the band. Each of us is original in its crazy way, which gives you the opportunity to create unique music. In 2012, the band recorded a demo, where they were placed two completely different music pieces, showing the potential of the group. The material has been well received as evidenced by reviews, attendance at concerts and invitations to support, among others Jelonka, Kata and Turbo. At the end of 2014, work on the first full album, titled Reality Imprisoned, was finished. 8 highly progressive tracks inspired by many metal genres, which also contain a dose of other styles of music. The main assumption was the lack of restrictions in creating music. An original approach to playing, the originality and complexity of the tracks characterize the music path that the SickNest band follows. After a series of concerts accompanied by the legends of the Polish and foreign metal scene, the band drops Hipis, whose place is replaced by Krzysztof "Mazi" Mazurek. Work on the next album begins. Meanwhile, the band leaves the vocalist Pilot, whose place after long months of searching is occupied by Michal "Ever" Ewertowski. The band is currently finishing recording for the second album, which will be released in the spring of 2018. Current line-up MIchal Ewertowski - Vocals Adam Banas - Guitars Pawel Cygan - Guitars Krzysztof Mazurek - Bass Artur Nowak - Keyboards Dawid Broniszewski - Drums
