Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Pillowhumpers | Four smoked, fried heads with four middle fingers to the world. Pillowhumpers came from the end of the 90's. From Akron, OH with hate, PH's intention was quite simply to make the most extreme, heaviest music that we could come up with and to pay homage to the most extreme bands we loved, like Napalm Death, Soilent Green, Carcass, Anal Cunt, Brutal Truth and so many more.

Search | Add | 2 | Magot Prom | Magot Prom, exploding drumbeats and synth psychedelia from Finland. The fusion of a virtuoso drummer and two synth wizards grooves with hypnotic primal intensity and bold attitude. The unconventional instrumental power trio breaks both beats and musical boundaries apart. Echoes of British bass music, nordic gloom, vintage psychedelia, world music and shaman rhythms. The mixture is enchanted with melodic hooks, deep harmonies and slavic melancholy. On stage the trio is supported by very special guests. Santeri Lindberg : synths, Kalle Jarva : synths, Perttu Lindberg : drums, Samuli Peltoniemi : trumpet, Mindman : vocals.

Search | Add | 2 | Rebekah Crochett | Rebekah Crochett is the newest member of the Remnant Music family and falls in perfectly with the Billboard charting artists on the label. Bringing a fresh and soulful sound with her, Rebekah specializes in ushering in the spirit through praise and worship. In fact, the first release from her self-titled freshman album is “My Praise is My Weapon.” Born from her own life’s struggles, this track is more than a nice tune encouraging listeners to join her in lifting the names of our Heavenly Father and His beloved Son, but is the battle cry of every war-weary soldier standing for Christ in the face of adversity. Having been taught the importance of praising the Most High throughout trials by her mother, Rebekah was able to exercise that faith firsthand when, at the young age of 28, she suffered a stroke as a result of a hole in her heart. While dealing with the aftermath of that, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). During all of the testing and treatments to manage this chronic disease of the central nervous system, she lost sight in her right eye. Although many people would have slipped into a deep depression or would have begun asking why they were being afflicted with just one of these issues, but rather than succumb to self-pity and doubt, Rebekah turned to the Father and began giving Him her highest praise. Armed with the mighty weapon of praise, she began her road to recovery. Fortunately for her, praise and worship were already deeply rooted in her soul. Having began singing at the age of four, her strong alto voice and dedication to music as a ministry led her to becoming a leader for praise and worship groups. In addition to staying active in this role, she is also the choir director for a Dallas-based church. In addition to her working in the music ministry with Rob, her husband of 12 years and bass guitarist, Rebekah is also a busy stay-at-home wife with a beautiful son whom they adopted. Rebekah is definitely someone to keep an eye on in the gospel music arena.

Search | Add | 2 | Norman Barecky | Norman Jody Barecky | October 15, 1951 (Corpus Christi, Texas) - November 10, 2004 (Western Grove, Arkansas) Norman Barecky taught himself to play guitar, organ, piano, and drums as a teenager, and also dabbled in some songwriting. His father, Jimmy Barecky, was a realtor, but also played guitar, wrote songs, and had hosted a "Western music" radio show at one time. In 1969, he was involved in negotiations with music and film producer Albert C. Gannaway of Little Rock, Arkansas, who was planning to open a new television film operation. Barecky persuaded the man to "audition" his teenaged son Norman. According to an article in the Corpus Christi Caller (14 May 1969), Gannaway advised 17-year-old Barecky not to sign any recording contracts until he had first secured copyrights for his original music. It's not clear what sorts of offers Barecky might have received from record companies, but a few years after this meeting he and his father put out a single on their own private label, with music written by Jimmy Barecky and performed by his son Norman. |

Search | Add | 2 | Your Gorgeous Self | Indie Power Pop band from Vienna, Austria "Your Gorgeous Self is a musical project (call it a band) based in Vienna, playing a kind of powerpop/indie style music since 2006. Since then we have played plenty of shows and recorded about two handfull of songs. Values we value are a DIY philosophy, having fun with what we are doing and making diverse music without trying to sound like what may be trendy at the time given. This reflects in our first album, 'The Sunny Salt of the Earth', which was out in September 2012. It is a collection of 10 to 11 songs (depending on the type of release) covering the sound range between an accoustic instrumentalization with piano and subtle electronics, and full-on punk rock inspired pop songs. There is also a video out for one of the songs, Rubber Bands." (Text von HP)

Search | Add | 2 | Heavier Than God | Doom/Punk band from Athens, Greece. Strong elements of [a=Black Sabbath], [a=Black Flag], [a=EyeHateGod], [a=Entombed], [a=Converge], [a=Electric Wizard], [a=Raging Speedhorn], [a=Refused] and [a=Melvins] can be traced in their sound, among other things... Zak A. screams his guts out, Jim P. abuses the guitars, Aggelos P. rips the bass, Costas shows the drums a real good time... Heavier Than God were formed in 2003 by [a=Jim P. (3)] (Guitar - also member of [a=The Darkstar], Skindread, Devilworx), George Roulos (Bass), [a=Costas (2)] (Drums - also member of [a=Lord 13], [a=Space Slavery], [a=Mahakala]), [a=Big Badda] (Guitar - also member of [a=Mahakala]) and [a=Zak A.] (Vocals - also member of [a=One Block Society]). They soon launched into performing shows, sharing the stage with bands like [a=Misery Index], [a=Integrity (2)], [a=Nile (2)] and [a=Electric Wizard (2)]. Unfortunately the band came to an end in 2005 for unspecified reasons, despite the public's positive response. Six years later, in 2011, the band made the decision to regroup. With [a=Nikos Kollias] (also of [a=The Darkstar]) replacing George on the bass and [a=Big Badda] not interested in rejoining the band, Heavier Than God started performing live again as a four-piece alongside [a=Septic Flesh], [a=Dark Funeral], [a=Nightstalker (2)], [a=Cancer Bats] and [a=High On Fire]. In 2015 they self-released their first album, ridiculously entitled The Self-Titled Album, in digital format. Some time later [a=Nikos Kollias] (after playing the bass for quite some time - as well as producing, engineering & mixing the album) decided to leave the band and Aggelos P. from [a=Black Hat Bones] is the band's current bass player (also responsible for the album's cover artwork).

Tracey studied music (flute and piano) at the University of Cape Town before turning her hand to Pop/Rock music. She joined her first band in 1981 and has been a professional musician since then. In 1985 her song-writing capabilities and rich, distinctive vocals caught the attention of record producers Tully McCully and Kevin Shirley respectively, and both seven singles received extensive airplay on radio and television. Her female duo, “Cat” enjoyed much success in the ‘80’s, playing a six- month residency at The Ambassador Hotel in Bantry Bay. Her solo career from 1986-2003 has provided her with the opportunity to travel to China on two occasions, performing in Shanghai and Wenzhou on 3 month residency contracts in Five Star Hotels, being O’Malley’s Irish Pub and Grill in the Old French Concession district in Shanghai (2001) and The Victoria Grand Hotel in Wenzhou (2002) as well as completing extended residency contracts all over South Africa; the prestigious Fancourt Golf Estate (2000) in George and the highly popular Club Mykonos (1998/1999/2000) in Langebaan being amongst the most recent. Over the 23 years her career spans, she has worked in both Johannesburg and Cape Town extensively. In November 2003 she joined the five-piece dance-band Upstart, to fulfil a four-month contract in the Middle East, at The Intercontinental, Muscat, in Oman.
