Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Братья Абесадзе | Six singing brothers from the village of Mukhura in Imereti, Georgia. Notes from their only record - and translation: In the ancient village, which is located behind a steep pass on the edge of Imereti, everyone, if he is not old, was sure to learn from the Abesadze family. At the main house of Zota Alexandrovich or at the sons - Vazha, Mikhail, Ingushi, Gigi, Revaz or Gela. According to a strong family tradition, all Abesadze graduate from a pedagogical institute, and all become teachers ... if music does not take over. Passion for singing is also a family tradition. She made her younger brothers professional musicians: Giga is a choir conductor, Givi (who died in a car accident) graduated from the Tbilisi Conservatory, Gela is a soloist of the Kutaisi Opera. The songs you hear were recorded in Moscow when the brothers were invited to a folklore concert at the All-Union House of Composers. Success on stage was undeniable, but recording in the studio turned out to be a difficult task for folk singers. Neither those who were recording nor the singers themselves were satisfied with the endless takes of the very songs that sounded so impressive in the concert the day before. After several hours of futile efforts, it was necessary to give way to the next team in the big studio, and to give tea to the tired brothers in a small room on the floor above. The performers were upset, but gradually the conversation turned in a different direction: they remembered friends, relatives, and long after midnight in a semi-dark and cramped studio, at two low tables twisted like a Georgian table, a song started slowly, and then louder and more confidently sounded the song. After listening for a while, the sound engineers, without saying a word, began to arrange the microphones. And in half an hour, without any takes and stops, several excellent songs were recorded on the tape. Only a small part of the extensive repertoire of the brothers fit on the disc. And these songs sound only like a modest echo of the generous Imeretian feast, when the whole family gathers at the hospitable table in the spacious parental house - sons, daughters-in-law, children. The singing of adults is replaced by an ensemble of grandchildren, and the songs of Imereti alternate with songs from other parts of Georgia. And if you want to make sure how strong the tradition is and how irreplaceable the role of the folk song in it is, go to Tqibuli, then another fifty kilometres along the mountain road and, after overcoming a steep pass, ask the first person you meet in the village of Mukhuri, where the Abesadzes live - teachers and singers .

| Search | Add | 2 | Olen Kent | Born August 31st, 1965 in Yreka, California Olen Kent got started with music at a young age. His grandmother taught him basic guitar chords at six years old while his father supported the family as a professional country musician. The tradition of music goes deep in his family most notable with his uncle, Bobby Kent, who had the number one Billboard country hit in 1958 “Goin’ Down to Albam” (under Mercury Records). Through out his life Olen has played music professionally starting at lounges, pubs, and clubs at eighteen years old. Having lived in many areas of the US including Texas, Oklahoma, and Washington, Oregon has most often been called home. His life has been a rocky road but he never fails to strive forward with what is closest to his heart, music! Olen is a natural with a crowd having experience performing solo and fronting band arrangements. He is known for fronting the band “The Dark” that toured extensively in the northwest US in the ‘90’s. The Dark, disbanded for 5 years, has released two independent albums and fans can still be found throughout the region today. His original music is a unique blend of rock, country, and folk styles led by his broad, rich vocals. Olen often reflects on his challenging life within his music, exploring the beauty of the dark. Though his strongest influences string from his father and uncle, other influences include; Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, and The Doors. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | La Soberana | La Soberana is a Uruguayan Murga (traditional carnival group) founded in 1969. Censored and banned by the military-civic dictatorship in 1974, she participated again in the Uruguayan carnival in 1987, 2006 and 2007. History Rooted in the La Comercial neighborhood of Montevideo, the murga was created by José Alanís (later known as "Pepe Veneno"), his brothers César, Luís and Darwin and Ángel "Pelado" Díaz, among others, in the troubled years 1969. year after its creation, they obtain the first prize in the official contest of the Uruguayan carnival, and later they publish several long plays for the disappeared Macondo seal. The political position of the murga, critical of the government of that time, earned her censorship and persecution of its members, who were occasionally deprived of their freedom. The year after the 1973 coup d'etat that ended up installing the dictatorial regime, the murderess parades dressed in national colors and chained through the streets of Montevideo. For this fact it is prohibited and one of its main figures, José "Pepe" Alanís is arrested for "moral attack against the Armed Forces, vilification and derision." After being subjected to torture and a three-year imprisonment, Alanís emigrates to Sweden as a political refugee. After the return to democracy, the murga appears in the contest of 1987, with a style that José "Pepe" Alanis catalogs as "opera-murga", that is, a structured show as a play with an approach, development and outcome In 2006, almost 20 years after his last presentation, he returns to participate in the official contest of murgas of the Uruguayan carnival. Within its ranks are several of its founding members. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Tony Avitia | Tony Avitia started life in the small border town of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. As an infant, he was brought to the U.S. by his immigrant parents. His early years were spent in the diverse and creative city of Houston, Texas. Avitia finished a public education and bounced around various gigs after graduating; grocery store clerk, bicycle messenger, and legal services gopher for a well-heeled law firm, before landing on music full time. Throughout the 90s, Avitia‘s boundless work ethic and passion for music helped establish some of Houston’s most revered bands. Punk-rock mainstays 30footFALL, Fenix TX and Slip-Hop legends I-45 all count Avitia as a founding member and all have gone on to critical and commercial success in their respective genres. In addition to an extensive discography, touring with I-45 (Houston Press “Best Hip-Hop” award) included 200-300 shows a year across North America for most of the decade. Often supporting some of the most diverse artists of the era; Linkin Park, At The Drive In, Blink-182, KRS-1, Ice-T and many others. Avitia also established and currently operates indie music label Broken Note Records (Houston Press “Best Label“ Award Winner). Since 1994, the label has released over 60+ albums and compilations featuring bands from all over the globe. The label continues to this day with Marshall Falcon and associated acts as its primary focus. The 2000s came with a move to Southern California to expand the musical reach to new fans and to connect within an American music hub. Avitia would go on to form the self-named space-blues outfit “AVITIA” . He and his band were regular fixtures at the historic venues on the Sunset Strip; The Roxy, The House of Blues, and the iconic Whisky A Go Go. 5 full-length albums (including an album recorded by renowned engineer Steve Albini) and multiple nationwide tours followed. Avitia would achieve a few personal milestones in the decade, including becoming a father, finishing a BA at Cal State and finishing the New York City Marathon. The 2010s ushered in a move to the Pacific Northwest and the founding of short-lived amphibious thrash band The Big Small. After 2 albums, The Big Small disbanded and Avitia went dormant for the rest of the decade. While music writing and recording continued, the decades of live performances had taken an emotional and physical toll. Avitia channeled his energy into hundreds of canvases and became an active and exhibited visual artist. In addition, he opened a recording studio in Eugene, Oregon where he has produced/engineered over 300+ albums for a wide variety of music clients. He also went on to complete an MBA (Management) program at Northwest Christian University. He most recently produced and recorded the latest Marshall Falcon release “Go West Young Man” | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Fanja | Fanjasoa Rakotondrahaja | Originally from Antsirabe in the highlands of Madagascar, the singer with multiple vocal inflections, Fanjasoa Rakotondrahaja aka Fanja Pheshoe or Fanja, is the daughter of the songwriter Andrianasolo Rakotondrahaja and the granddaughter of a famous organist and harmonium player. It was therefore quite natural that she began singing at the age of 6 in the Tiana Sy Fanja choir. from the Evangelical Lutheran church in her neighborhood where she works on her voice and perfects herself. At the age of 15, Fanja began professionally as a backing vocalist in various groups, including Rolf of the singer-bassist [a2972546] known as Rolf Raza, Ny Ainga of the singer Rabesaiky Guillaume Marie aka Om-Gui or the author, composer and performer Jarifa. At seventeen, she took up keyboards and accompanied the choir of the Evangelical Lutheran church. Eager to “multiply and diversify collaborations with experts in animation and stage performance”, Fanja collaborates with various artists, including Monika Njava, initiator of the group Njava family. From 2006, she performed as a duo with her husband [a5976574] (author, composer, arranger, guitarist). In 2008, she participated in the first part of “Groove Power Project” (GPP) initiated by Roots Power, a multicultural production company whose aim is to explore the music of the South of Madagascar by promoting collaborations artistic and the fusion of styles. This first meeting brings together Monja Manintsindava, a prominent figure in the Antandroy culture of the far south of the Big Island (valiha, violin, marovany, voice), Miary Lepiera, expert guitarist, and Fanja, singer with a soulful voice. The trio thus created tours throughout Madagascar, broadcasting a fusion of “beko” (traditional music from the Antandroy of the South), “batrelaky” (song celebrating the harvests in the South-East), electro and techno. This first Groove Power Project will result in the production of “Tekokekoke”, a video clip for the trio produced by Roots Power. Subsequently, Fanja moved towards Afro-pop and Afro-fusion styles, a mixture of Malagasy sounds, pop, soul, blues, jazz, R&B or electro. Fanja will be part of the fourth generation of Feon'Ala in alongside Sahala Fialofa Niniana and Patricia Kembavola, all three singer-dancers, and choreographer-dancers Lo-Shenie Noronantenaina known as Shaniah and [a9978085]. This famous female group was founded at the very beginning of the 1980s by the songwriter Charles Maurin Poty. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Huw Edward Jones | Huw Edward Jones was born in North Wales around 1974. He started singing at the age of 4 and through the next seven years he participated in many Welsh festivals of literature and song Eisteddfod, on which he achieved many successes. An important event in his child's career was also a performance at the famous London concert hall Royal Albert Hall. Huw, with ease and mastery, performs traditional Welsh songs, supported in some songs by a female choir. Surprisingly, the boy did not continue his career and his recordings today remain, quite wrongly, musical curiosities known only to a handful of interested people. | |

East Brunswick, Melbourne 8 July 1936 - d. early 2003) Rochelle started singing publicly when, aged 17, she was a finalist in an ABC Youth Talent show. The Chevron, in St. Kilda Road, was one of the premier venues in 1950's Melbourne and its renowned "Orchard Room", where Rochelle sang was a popular and chic venue. Rochelle signed with [l440697] at the tender age of 19 and her first issued recording was the 10" party LP [r3989972]. Her vocal career came to an end when she married a couple of years later and never returned to show business.

| Search | Add | 2 | Loose Helmet | Hailing from the heart of Houston, TX, Loose Helmet burst onto the scene in 2022 with a fierce DIY spirit and a sound that refuses to fit neatly into any one box. Formed in the same year, they released their raucous demo, quickly followed by their self-titled album in 2023, cementing their place in the underground punk scene. Self-proclaimed “punk rock idiots,” the band blends the raw, rebellious energy of punk with the experimental edge of post-punk, art-punk, and an ambitious reach toward Avant-punk territory. With each live show, Victor Martinez (vocals/guitar) channels a larger-than-life persona, his voice dripping with expression and exaggeration that draws you in and demands your attention. When Victor slips on his tiny black sunglasses, you know the show is about to explode into pure chaos. The band’s sound is as unique as its members. Victor's angular guitar work navigates between the dissonant melodies of Sonic Youth and the twangy intricacies of The Ventures. Behind the kit, Nate Glenn delivers a drumming performance that is a machine-like force; once the rhythm starts, it doesn't stop. His relentless energy drives the band forward, propelling the music with intensity. Holding it all together is Chase Wagner on bass, who lays down a heavy, groove-laden foundation that ties every sound together with perfect precision, accentuating the unique interplay between the guitar and drums. Rounding out the sonic landscape is Rex Von Pohl on keys, whose otherworldly tones could have easily been lifted from the halls of the USS Enterprise itself, adding a futuristic, almost eerie vibe to the band’s sound. Their music feels like it could soundtrack a '60s surf movie—except in this version, the characters are devoured by sharks while the band plays on, fearless and unstoppable. A Loose Helmet performance isn’t just a show—it’s an experience. Their energy is infectious, their sound is thrilling, and their wild unpredictability keeps you on your toes. If you’re looking for an unfiltered, high-octane live show full of punk rock madness, don’t miss the chance to see Loose Helmet—they’re not just a band, they’re an event. | |
