Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Cde. Chinx Chingaira | Dick Chingaira | Chinx is a short name for Chingaira. He was born in Rusape on September 27, 1955. He was married to Catherine Mazuru who died in 1996. Chingaira attended Chigora Primary School in the Makoni District of Rusape. His interest in music began when his primary school headmaster, Martin Dhlamini, encouraged him to sing and to join the school choir. On completion of secondary school, Chingaira got a place to study medicine overseas but he failed to acquire travel documents and the whole plan failed to materialise. Then in 1974 he worked at an engineering plant in Msasa, in Harare. At the end of 1975, Chinx joined the Second Chimurenga war in Mozambique. As much as he was a fighter his love for music made him a full-time organiser of theZimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front(ZANU-PF) People’s Choir. The choir that was formed was called Takawira in honour of the late nationalistLeopold Takawira. Takawira Choir became just but one of many other choirs which boosted freedom fighters’ morale during the war. Chinx had joined the guerrillas with the sole aim of liberating Zimbabwe but found himself being the leader of the Takawira choir which in no time changed its name to the Zimbabwe African National Liberation Army (ZANLA) Choir, which acted as a morale booster for the fighting cadres when Comrade Mhere Yaraira who led the group was transferred. Chinx's musical skills were later realised at independence in 1980 when he returned to Zimbabwe. He soon teamed up with Bennie Miller and Keith Farquharson to record his early chimurenga hits “Ngorimba”, “Zvikomborero” and “Nerudo”. The band soon developed to include Don Gumbo of Ilanga and more hits were recorded between 1982 and 1987. Chinx pursued a multitude of career options. Shortly after leaving Ilanga he pursued a solo career. He has also acted in films (1996’s Flame), as well as writing the score for the 1989 South African documentary Limpopo Line. After a short stint with Ilanga he moved on to team up with Mazana Movement Bandand then later with Mazana Black Spirits. His hit song entitled "Vanhu Vose VemuAfrica" translated "People of Africa" captures the essence of humanity and unity in the face of injustice and unfairness. His most outstanding hit, “Roger Confirm”, stayed on the then Radio 3’s Hitpick charts for 25 weeks in 1989 and early 1990. Every year since the 1980s during the Heroes Day, Independence Day celebrations and Africa Day holidays, all radio stations in Zimbabwe have continued to play Chinx’s liberation songs. In 2000 when the land reform started. Chinx, with the late former band mate Andy Brown backed by the Police Band when the land reform started, composed and recorded songs for the government becoming part of the Third Chimurenga. |

Search | Add | 2 | Old Crock Band | Since 2003, old Crock Band performs its raw and biting sound within a passionate live set. The deep musical understanding between Geppe Lombardini (vocals and guitar) and "JD" Gian Domenico Scura (guitar), backed up by the relentless and tight drumming by Simone "Ben" Benzi, leads the band to develop personal and original compositions, linked to the seventies rock mitology but with a genuine vision of the future, in a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. After years spent refining their sound on stage, the band strengthens its line up in 2013 with the arrival of Roberto "Lizzo" Lizzoni on bass and decides to enter the studio to record its first official album "Alive And Dangerous".

Search | Add | 2 | Börje Ekberg | Swedish record company founder, born in 1930, died April 2022 in Tuscon, Arizona, USA. He started [l5870] in 1949 with the brothers [a2393735], [a341856], the company that is still the basis of Warner's Swedish publishing. He was involved in introducing a long line of Swedish music's biggest names until Metronome was incorporated into Warner in 1979. Börje went as a teenager to Norra Latin in Stockholm. But the question is whether he did not spend more time at Kafé Flamman on Vattugatan in Klarakvarteren. To Flamman, he rushed on breaks and break hours to listen to the latest jazz imports on 78-revs, together with regulars of musicians, writers and journalists. Börje managed to get his first records, the very first was one with Benny Goodman, before he made his first voyage of discovery to the Mecca of jazz in New York in 1947. On 52nd Street, he tested all the jazz clubs he read about and became even more convinced that it was jazz music that would be his life. In 1948, an important step was taken towards that dream when he bought a tape recorder in New York, a Webster Wire Recorder, which was used in 1949 when the newly started company Metronome with Börje as responsible made his very first release - Gösta Theselius and His All Star Band in the song " Siesta". By this time, Börje had teamed up with another former student at Norra Latin, albeit two years older, a drumming music lover named Anders Burman. Börje Ekberg and Anders Burman then became pair horses for three sensational decades with Metronome. Anders was the producer and talent scout, often face to face. Börje was also a talent scout, not least during the 1950s, but took as his main role to manage the company's business and artist relationships. He became a combined record partner, manager and general supervisor in a context of artist souls. Artists such as Charlie Norman, Alice Babs, Lasse Gullin, Stan Getz, Delta Rhythm Boys, Siw Malmkvist, Quincy Jones and Svante Thuresson passed revues with Börje in varying roles but always with the basic responsibility. When he eventually became a more refined manager for several of the company's artists, it could result in him clashing with some who thought he was too demanding as a janitor, the example of Cornelis Vreeswijk is famous. But there was always a huge respect for Börje's job. "He was strict but always honest" as Siw Malmkvist described him. After Metronome was bought by Warner in 1979, Börje moved to the USA and California, where he remained until last year when he moved to his daughter in Arizona. In the summers, Börje always returned to Sweden and the Stockholm archipelago, which he loved. First to the house on Ingarö and later Västerö. He was constantly curious about what was happening "back home". Especially in the jazz context but also in general in the blue-yellow music context. Many of us exchanged faxes and emails with a man who had all the answers and details. But who never let this obscure the central, lifelong role of one of our real jazz cats. Börje Ekberg was one of those who built the Swedish music industry on a happy union of entrepreneurship and love of music.

Search | Add | 2 | Inca Music Project | For their next release, Salvation Records have unearthed a misplaced recording of Ceredigion seaside string-laden psychadelia. From the Seaside town of Aberystwyth comes the Fuzzed out library orchestra , Prosiect Cerddorol INCA (Music Project). Conceived by former Radio Luxembourg member Rhys Spikes, this endeavour featured collaborations and co conspirators to create alternative soundtracks for long forgotten but forever treasured animated films for the “Cardi” youth. Beginning as a “picture” house band for the Aberystwyth Art Centre cinema, INCA expanded their repertoire and ventured out beyond its creative confines to become a regional oddity on the live circuit. Fuelled by discarded psych records found in Ceredigion Charity shops as well as continuing the legacy as Welsh language musical “unconventionalists” Y Dyniadon Ynfyd Hirfelyn Tesog and AD 73, INCA were unlike anything else that came out of mid Wales. With influences as perverse as Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies, Elephant Memory and Fifty Foot hose a danceable maelstrom was created by using modified and discombobulated orchestra instruments and home made electronic gadgets. The recordings you will hear on this release were created at Blaen Cae studio in north Wales on THE National Eisteddfod week in 2008.Overseen by Beat Box heavyweight and former Genod Droog front man Ed Holden. (who’s “phormula” proved invaluable for catching the projects sound) and should have been released on the “Sbrigyn ymborth” label. Alas this was not to be and the tapes were stored away until the audio archaeologists at Salvation discovered them.

Search | Add | 2 | Bloody Flow | BLOODY FLOW was born in September 2020 with Julien on guitars and vocals and Chris on bass. It was in October 2021 that the drummer David joined the group. The group comes from the AIN in FRANCE, where the work is carried out. It is a claimed POWER TRIO and will officiate as such. INFLUENCES The inspiration of BLOODY FLOW is mainly affected by 70’s or inspired bands, such as BLACK SABBATH, LED ZEPPELIN or MOTORHEAD. And then more contemporary combos like DOWN, KYUSS, RED FANG or ORANGE GOBLIN. RECORDINGS Between pandemic, confinement, curfew and return to “normal” life, BLOODY FLOW recorded the premises of the first album in early 2022 with the aim of canvassing and performing on stage. The album is currently being mixed and should be released soon. BIOPIC of Bloody The name of the group BLOODY FLOW refers to a wanton young girl who goes by the nickname Bloody. She feeds on with the blood of her victims but has nothing to do with vampires. A flow of blood (literal translation) appears after the passage of this sweet young girl. The story does not specify whether an amalgamation is possible with menstruation!!!!!! Most of the title texts retrace the misadventures of our heroine... It's up to you to make your tortured imagination work. But make no mistake, Bloody will always be on your trail, on the lookout behind you to watch for a misstep, crush you cruelly and drink your blood!!!!!
