Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Errol Ruddock | Musician, Engineer, Producer, Singer/Deejay born in Handsworth, Birmingham, England, 1961. AKA Errol "Spears" Ruddock, Errol "Starkey" Ruddock, Spears, Spear, King Spears, Wild Starkey, Tekle Hymanot... Son of Jamaican immigrants arrived in Britain in late 50s, he learnt to play Drums at the age of eight, taught by his brother, then he went on to play with a church band where he self-taught Bass and Rhythm guitar. After leaving the church he embraced Rastafari and soon joined sound systems Jah Youth, and Jah Nyah. Then he joined Reggae band Amahra (with lead singer [a=Junior Roots]), who acted as backing band for Sugar Minott on his first UK tour. His first recording session was with Sugar Minott and the Ahmara band in a four track studio in Erdington Birmingham, this is where he got his first taste of Studio recording, and knew he had natural ability in this aspect of the music industry. In his Sound days adventure he met up with Irvin Woolley now known as [a=Wooligan], who could build his own pre-amps and amplifiers, and had his own sound (Orthodox Sound System), they formed the [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/1540797-Mind-Searchers-Studio]Mindsearchers Studios[/url] & production outfit. He also formed a session band called [a=Truths & Rights (2)] Syndicate, and worked with [a=Phillip Whittaker] on the labels [l=New Talents] & [l=Silicon Squad] ([l=Silicon Squad Studios]). In late 90s he worked on the [l=Humal Records] productions, and nowadays on [l=Roots Awakening] with the alias [a=King Spears].

Search | Add | 3 | Metropolitan Choir of Praise | The Metropolitan Choir of Praise was organized in October, 1963, by Mr. Peter Vanden Bosch who envisioned a choir in the West Michigan area similar to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Salt Lake City, Utah. Approximately 115 interested singers attended its first Saturday night rehearsal in the Bates Street Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Drawn from many vocations and professions and from various churches throughout the West Michigan area, we are committed to praising God together and greatly enjoy singing and sharing our ministry of music, featuring spirituals and classical, traditional, and contemporary styles. The choir has been blessed in bringing its musical ministry not only to Grand Rapids and the West Michigan area, but also to a number of states, near and far, -- Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New Jersey, Washington D.C., California and Washington. The Choir has also travelled to Ontario, Canada and has conducted two concert tours to the Netherlands.

He has released 3 full length albums: Bedtime Street Album (2012), Sleepwalking (2013) & ESP (2016). Jahan's latest project ESP – mastered by the Grammy-Nominated Engineer, Daddy Kev – features the legendary, Smif-N-Wessun, as well as Tone Trump and Ceschi. Jahan's previous album Sleepwalking features Hakim Green (of Channel Live) and the entire album was produced by Poppa Pill, known for producing on Rakim's 2009 album, The Seventh Seal. --- In his early childhood, Jahan lived in Mount Vernon, NY – hometown to Pete Rock, Heavy D and Sean “Diddy” Combs. Jahan’s musically talented neighbors inspired him to pursue a career in music and he began rhyming at 9 years old. After moving to the inner-city of Stamford, CT, Jahan continued to develop his lyrical talent and at age 13, he was signed to the label, BMX Entertainment in Brooklyn. In high school, Jahan showcased his talent on the independent music scene, recording freestyles on mixtapes. He and his partner Kyro also recorded tracks with Producer Raydar Ellis (who went on to work under Dr. Dre at Aftermath). After high school, Jahan moved to North Carolina to study Journalism at UNC. During college, Jahan worked at Duke University Radio with 9th Wonder who introduced him to Big Pooh and Phonte. During these years – the early stages of Little Brother – Jahan even had to face-off in a battle with Phonte at the famed Cat’s Cradle. After returning to CT, Jahan recorded and released the Bedtime Street Album (2012) and Sleepwalking (2013) – produced by Poppa Pill [known for producing on Rakim's album, The Seventh Seal (2009)]. He spent 2014 touring with the Vans Warped Tour and the Full Blast Summer Tour. In 2016, Jahan released his latest album, ESP - mastered by the Grammy-Nominated Engineer, Daddy Kev - with features from the legendary, Smif-N-Wessun, Tone Trump and Ceschi. Since the release of ESP, Jahan Nostra has been traveling and performing at shows and festivals throughout the US and Canada; Jahan has opened for Smif-N-Wessun, J. Cole, Hakim Green (Channel Live), Das EFX, Ras Kass, Cappadonna (Wu-Tang), Royal Flush, Mr. Cheeks (Lost Boyz), Blahzay Blahzay, Al Skratch and he performed with RZA (Wu-Tang), freestyling live to RZA's piano accompaniment. Jahan Nostra has been interviewed by Doctor Dre (Yo! MTV Raps), A-King (Combat Jack Show) and featured in several media outlets, including: Hot 97, Hip Hop DX, Underground Hip Hop Blog, Huff Post, The Ryan Show and Philly FAME TV. With respect to his creative influences, Jahan credits Tupac Shakur as an inspiration for “his ability to paint pictures with great emotion and put poetry in motion while still being true to himself.” Taking his craft seriously, Jahan has an artist statement that he lives by: “To uplift for the future, reflect reality and prove that I’m the illest.” |

Search | Add | 3 | Shepherds The Weak | Shepherds The Weak, originally an all-Filipino Metalcore Band based in Hong Kong was formed in late 2004 out of the ashes of an old band called MILK AND COOKIES. STW is a harder, faster, louder band. STW recently solidified its lineup when JAY R joined on second guitar. Replacing Ar Ho of IRRESISTIBLE HEARTS fame who briefly joined us while we were searching for a guitarist. Shepherds The Weak has released 2 EPs called Strength In Numbers (2006) and Aeons (2013) and 1 full-length album called Biformity (2017). Current Lineup: Glenn Bogador - GUITARS Terrence Salinas - VOCALS Michael Salcedo (Mike) - DRUMS Richie Paril - VOCALS Tommi Svinhufvud - BASS Bryant Vallejo - GUITARS Original Lineup: Glenn Bogador - BASS Terrence Salinas - VOCALS Michael Salcedo (Mike) - DRUMS Richie Paril - VOCALS Jay R Gabuya - GUITARS Michael Santos (Mushie) - GUITARS Shepherds the Weak was an accident. We didn’t set out to form a band - no scouting; no auditions - we were simply a group of young Filipino ‘pares’ with instruments, mics and a passion for music who stumbled together in 2001. A jamming duo of me (Glenn “Hey let’s call our band Milk and Cookies!!” Bogador) and Mike “I love Jazz more than metal” Salcedo was the catalyst that led to the line up of our original incarnation. In just a few, short months our 2-man-jam became a band of 5. Mushie “I live and breathe World of Warcraft” Santos, an old friend from way back, showed up to one of our jams with no intention of joining a band. Luckily for us, he picked up the guitar during the break and impressed us with his awesome skill and versatility. We thought it would be cool to play with him more regularly and he agreed. The “recruitment” of our vocalists happened in much the same impromptu way. Richie “I own 500 pairs more than Imelda Marcos” Paril and Terence “I have a huge tattoo on my arm” Salinas hung around the practice room a few times. During one jam, Richie picked up the mic and started doing some crazy-ass beat boxing. I thought he’d be decent enough to fill in empty spots during sound checks (hehehe…kidding). Seriously, he was good so we asked him to join us. Terence accidentally auditioned by singing a Craig David song one night while waiting for my shift at a LKF bar to finish. In spite of his song choice, we knew he was cool AND he could drink as much as we could - that was good enough for us to have him in the band. So that’s how it all started: a hardcore bass player, a jazz drummer, a metal guitarist, a hip-hop beat-boxer and an R&B singer joined forces to form a funk-turned-metal-band.

Search | Add | 3 | Joy Exit | Joy Exit is an Istanbul and New York based Electronic Pop Duo. Their name was inspired by Frida Kahlo's dying words, "I hope the exit is joyful and I hope never to return." The vision of creating an electronic pop sound with a seductive cinematic essence brought the two members of the band together. The music and lyrics emerged were sparked by the desire for freedom from the limitations imposed by fear and conditioning. Dark and melancholic with an acutely cinematic edge and a hint of arabesque, Joy Exit merge their dreamy synth-soundscape with wistful guitars and a lush, moody contralto.

Search | Add | 3 | Inwait | In Wait | In Wait great band from Guayaquil born in 1999 initially with the missing members Miguel Cruz and Arturo Rodriguez was a band with its own style as you can see in its melodies. In those times they still did not play in concerts and never They imagined the great reception they would get. Then they split Miguel and Arturo, giving way to [a6144363] and [a6625986] who met in the student era at Sek School and finally to [a6627140] who would be the voice of this spectacular band, given that they had no drummer and in their eagerness to search [a6144363] meets [a6816701] for the Mirc, and invites him to be part of the band, and it is here that melodies like Dalia, Maldita Perra and if you could understand that quickly won the good reviews of the Guayaquil scene are born. With very catchy melodies this group decides to release their first album titled Tonta illusion, but it still does not go on sale due to the economic situation that is going through, we hope to have them on stage soon, and from now people are invited to support the Monster of punk with Code Red of Colombia where In Wait will be one of the bands that will share the stage, without a doubt this performance is deserved by the dedication that they waste in each presentation. |

Search | Add | 3 | Rose Jets | Punk band from Nagoya City, Aichi, Japan. Active from 1982 to 1985. All band members were high school kids(16 years old) when they recorded for the first and the only self-released EP in 1984, and they featured dual vocals by twin brothers! They had a pretty big fan base during the active years, played shows with other local punk bands such as The Star Club, Oxydoll(Tatsuya Nakamura's old band), The Genbaku Onanies, SA(Original), Rocka Rolla, etc. There was a release plan for Rose Jets’ first album by Captain Records when the label had just started in 1985 but that never happened because the band broke up. They did manage to play the now-legendary “Sukiyo!! Captain” free outdoor concert in front of 8,000 audiences at the Shinjuku station square with Gastunk, Cobra, The Willard, Kyahh→, Uchoten and Papaya Paranoia, which was a promotional event held to celebrate the launch of Captain Records on August 18th, 1985. The Rose Jets frontmen and brotmhers Akihiro Kondo and Hiroyuki Kondo are currently active as a reggae duo [a=Ackee & Saltfish]. In 1998 during the A&S concert at the Diamond Hall in Nagoya, Rose Jets did a one-time only reunion show where they performed their classic punk tune "In The History" featuring original members. Also this song was recorded in studio around the same time and included on one of A&S's albums as a Rose Jets bonus track in 1998.

Search | Add | 3 | Cretin Stompers | Punk supergroup formed in 2013 consisting of: Nick Noto (BIG MUFF RADIO) Billy Hayes (drums, Jay Reatard) Alex Gates (guitar, WAVVES) with occasional collaborations from R. Stevie Moore "Cretin Stompers landed in our lap on an other-worldly afternoon one day, sent directly from the future and completely ready to bury your past and everything you’ve ever held dear. Not even a fully formed embryo upon their first recording, the interstellar project began as a long-distance collaboration between past members of the ethereal Barbaras, Magic Kids, Boston Chinks, (and later, Jay Reatard Band/Wavves) in Memphis, and their mysterious cohort, (who had never been met or even spoken to while making the record!) BIG MUFF RADIO, living up north in Brooklyn, and has reached it’s fully-developed final mutation in the form of the Looking Forward To Being Attacked debut LP. And just like a Xenomorph wrapping its way around your head right before that inevitable lobotomy, the Cretin Stompers infectious oozing pop slime will find its way into any of your exposed orifices, so be sure to wear a tight belt as this is one debut album with the power to entrance and eviscerate like never before… With as many studio tricks and alien-like pop moves Cretin Stompers conjure, it will become obvious by the first few tracks that this is unlike any other album you’ve heard before, a true pioneering and sublime step into the iridescent pop dreams (and nightmares) of the not-so-bleak future. But don’t be afraid of what’s ahead, that’s just part of who we are, and more importantly, who you are, as someone who doesn’t let uncertainty cloud their ambition to make new discoveries or hold back your enthusiasm for the unknown. For this, you will be rewarded with a dynamic explosion of space punk filtered through a clogged toilet of remarkable pop hooks and impeccable melodic surges that hit such wavering heights, you just might need some orange slices to keep your eyes on the road. And as if Cretin Stompers couldn’t give you any more ear candy to clean out your cavities with, they have culled two superb covers from The Styrenes and Dave Brock (of Hawkwind) to knock you back to summer school with another research assignment, always the true sign of real innovators of any era of music. So don’t keep taking the same route to rock’n roll salvation when there are so many exciting ways to live, and get ready to have your mind thoroughly blown, because the future sounds fucking unreal. Also features exclusive artwork from the legendary Memphis fine art photographer WILLIAM EGGLESTON!"

Search | Add | 3 | Mary Bogue | Mary Bogue grew up in upstate New York, but eventually found her way to Los Angeles. Mary always enjoyed jazz, Motown and R&B. In 2006, Mary began singing in the clubs and studios of Hollywood and North Hollywood, including Vitello's, the Hollywood Studio Bar And Grill and Nola's. Mary has been described as "... a big woman with a big talent — a kind of throwback to the “red-hot mamas” of another era who could belt with the best of them, then pull back and score on a solid heartbreaker of a song." Mary's debut CD, 'Don't Go To Strangers', was produced by famed musician Steve Rawlins. Other players included Karen Hernandez on piano, Nolan Shaheed on Trumpet, Jim DeJulio and Lou Shoch on bass, Jack LeCompte on drums and Rickey Woodward on saxophone. Les McCann was the creative consultant and even sang on one song.
