Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Lodis C | Always evolving, never fading, their music is two faces: compassion and malevolence. Lodis C brings forth music that spawns from the unlikely bond of unremitting love and devoted disgust. Creativity is influenced by countless sources yet always builds its foundation from dedication and cooperation. With the release of their EP, “Wait These Days,” understanding is strongly evident in their approach. Within a single song, the band can show you both beauty and hatred. Expect the truth not blinded by the hands of a guilty, lesser society that is based on greed, insults, and lies. This time around, the feelings are real. Sounds of the wounded are sounds of the adored. Experience plays a significant role in their creativity. Each member knows that where beauty can be found, shadows are gravely haunting. When it seems that all is lost, progress can still be made when victim to malicious tactics. From ruins of defeat, the strength to carry on churns from enemies of the past. An indefinite fate will not slow the band in their onward advances. Being familiar with conflict has readied them for the decisions that are ahead. Boundless horizons and an equally abundant driving force guides Lodis C to an echelon above all.

Search | Add | 3 | Fruit₂o5 | Fruit205 (stylized most often as Fruit2o5, Fruit₂o5) is an LA-based hip-hop and electronic duo(?). The group formed in late 2016 on a cold winter day on the way to Stop & Shop, when Fruit₂o5's debut album "Glock Tower 43" (earning outstanding reviews). Later on, in 2017, the duo released an live acid techno-based EP made on an Arturia Beatstep, featuring two parts of one song, and a remix. This EP met great reception. Fruit₂o5 met conflict when both members had different interests and more-or-less splientered. The main producer for Glock Tower 43 felt frustrated after feeling as though the vocalist from was not taking the group's future and music seriously enough (and rather floundering about). The Soundcloud-exclusive single, "Shiizua", was made shortly thereafter, the first track featuring the vocalist from Glock Tower 43 showing off his production skills, and the second creating an ambient soundscape with a replacement guest-vocalist. This was a last cry towards the vocalist to make something like Fruit₂o5 once so merrily did. This single was to no avail, with no attention from critics. After realizing that the vocalist put no effort into their part, the producer decided to release an 8 minute extravaganzic single in secret, titled "Hot Tang Skeleton Xylobhone Marimba Jig Time" (referred to as "hot tang skelebones xylophone show jive (1)" on the Bandcamp release). This single is what many may consider the peak of Fruit₂o5, as it ushered in a new wave of fans, and opened another world of sound. The future of Fruit₂o5 is unclear; Will it remain a duo? Will it branch out beyond electronic and hip hop genres? Will new members join? Although those questions cannot be answered, it can be assured that Fruit₂o5 will continue to release music for times to come. "We are watching you. We are helping you. We are Fruit₂o5."

As Dirty Jackers, Frank and Glenn take these influences to another level, creating a fresh sounding live act (live musicians) with great melodies and vocal performances. Their debut release "Sneaky Boomerang" on Magura Records was charted by big time players like Dave Clarke and featured on national radio Studio Brussel. The follow up single and album (both titled "Stop The Madness" promise to take things even further. Roger-M has established himself as a DJ and Producer who has strived to emphasize his presense in the music world. Using various monikers; Sieg & Mouzakis (Fritz Sieg & Roger-M), Aspuration (Ray Vera & Roger-M) & his own trademark name "Roger-M"; accomplishments are well noted. The debut Sieg & Mouzakis track; “Body Takes Control” immediately signing with Plastica in the UK & was charted # 1 by Balance Promote Group (which serves as the top progressive DJ pool in the world). Also great success & support on tracks "By Your Side" & "Serenity" on Neutone Recordings; along with the smash "Fading Away" on Tiesto's Black Hole Recordings (which all feature the stellar vocals of Eva). There has been tremendous support of his tracks by Tiesto, Danny Tenaglia, Superchumbo, Oscar G, Sander Kleinenberg, Deep Dish, Solarstone and so on. Whether it’s live or as you listen to one of his tunes, Roger-M wants to take you on an emotional journey, hopefully you will be fortunate to experience it for yourself. |

The group was founded by OG garage rocker Billy Gruff (aka Dave Howard), a gracefully aging New York punk with attitude and searing guitar chops. Other members have included veteran San Diego scenesters like Jerry Rig, Matt Silvia, and Spud Davenport. Search | Add | 3 | The Cinnamon Firm | Hugh Burns - Vocals, Guitar Joe Curley - Lead Guitar Michael "Denny" Dennison - Organ Jeff Lynas then Kieran McCann - Bass Paddy Johnston then Norm Burns - Drums The band were formed in November 1997 by five friends from belfast's mod / 60s revivalist scene. After only five rehearsals the band played their first gig at Copperfields in Belfast . In April 1998 Kyran McCann took over as Bassist from Geoff Lynas. The five piece were picked up by manager Jim Rielly, erstwhile of from 70's punk legends Stiff Little Fingers. This led to a session at Novatech Studios where they recorded their debut EP (which ended up being an albums worth of material). They took just one day to record 11 tracks. The subsequent release "Cottonwool Crossroads" was very well received, especially within the UK mod scene . The band then toured throughout the UK and Ireland and received some interest from US record labels. 1998 Norm Burns took over Drums from Paddy Johnston and a collection of new songs were then laid down at Ja Studios in March 1999. This led to interest from a well known boxing promoter Dean Powell. The Firm embarked on a frenzied summer of gigs and secured a regular spot at the Creature Club (Vicos). The song 'Doing Me Wrong' from the Ja sessions was penned for a single release in August 1999, however in early August everything started to break down, an american record company that was interested in signing the firm pulled out due to the death of the the record company's owner and soon to follow was the departure of the bands manager Jim Reilly. It wasn't long after that before the band started falling apart due to disappointment more than anything, Joe and Kyran packed their bags which effectively killed off the band, so rather than trying find to replacements and continue along the same path - Hugh and Norm decided to explore new directions while still drawing on their deeply ingrained influences by forming The Keepers. Paddy and Denny went on to form The Penny Dreadfuls (re-named The Dreads) Highlights of the time with the Cinnamon Firm include performing on BBC/ RTE television , playing with such great bands such as Nine Below Zero and of course spending a few hours with the modfather himself ---. Mr Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher , Matt deighton , Paulo Hewitt, Steve White etc in dublin.

Search | Add | 3 | The Dead Puppies | The Dead Puppies were formed in February of 1985 with Tommie Gunz (Thom Ryerson) and Leroy Deadboy (Joe Maagdenberg) in the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Both Tom and Joe were first year students in Confederation College's film production course. Tom was originally from London, ON, and Joe from Hamilton, ON. They began as a punk country outfit, and cut a 12 minute tape consisting of 8 original tunes. A week later Trash (Joe Lafontaine) was added to the line-up and they cut another tape, live off the floor. This time out they were a little more serious and added an edge to the songs and lost the country flavor. 'The First Cut' was issued in March 1985 with 10 more original tracks. Summer break came and the band was on hiatus until the fall. Trash was replaced by Harry P. Ness (Harry Smith) who in turn was replaced with Craig Moorhouse, another film arts student. On February 4th 1986, which was also the 106th anniversary of the Donnelly Massacre, Tom, Joe and Craig convened in the film production supply room, and set up a studio. Using nothing but a 175 Watt Peavey Tube Amplifier, two Nagra IV-S Reel to Reel recorders, a Sennheiser and a Shure microphone, and a pile of patch cords and custom made tape loops, the three art students recorded two reels worth of 'music.' It was like nothing they had made before, and the recording of the track, 'Persuasion' was video-taped. (It's a video up at YouTube, check it out!) The session went for about four hours. The tapes were labelled Volume 1, and Volume 2, and then sat on a shelf for the next seven years. The boys graduated college and went on their ways. Tom settled in Cambridge, Joe in Toronto, and Craig in London. In February of 1993 Tom and his musical current partner, Stan V. Antone, took the 1986 recording session off the shelf, as as Tom had just bought a reel to reel, and they transferred the music to cassette, editing it into a 45 minute project called 'Pathological Profile.' The tape was released in April 1993, and quickly got airplay at CHRW in London, and a review in the National Campus Magazine 'Chart.' In January of 1994 Tom put together a box set of all the Dead Puppy recordings, plus three new songs that had been written in 1985, but not performed until December 1993 with Thom on vocals, Stan on guitar, Mike Vandecamp on drums, and Jeff Harris on drums. The box set contained a book with lyrics to all 29 songs, all the tracks from "E.P.", "The First Cut," and "Pathological Profile." We move ahead to when "Pathological Profile" was re-issued on cassette in April of 2005 and promoted again, to little interest. We then entered the CD age, and Tom and Stan re-edited the 1986 recordings, re-titled them, and rose again like the phoenix as Cholera. The CD was issued on June 7th 2008 under the new title of 'Sky Skraping.' We now move from the CD age to the digital age, and Tom and Stan figured it was time to get this music out across the internet via CD Baby and i-Tunes. Here we are, exactly thirty-two years to the date, and now the 138th anniversary of the Donnelly Massacre, which occurred near Lucan, Ontario. Tom and Stan believe they received positive energy from the Donnelly spirits. Tom & Stan count these following bands as their major influence; Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Coil, The Kronos Quartet, J.O.M.F., Glen Branca, John Cage, Philip Glass, Liabach, Diamanda Galas, and John Zorn. Thank you all!

Search | Add | 3 | Paul G. Stafura | Paul G. Stafura | Paul Stafura's tamburitza experience began in 1961, at age 12, when he became a charter member of The Junior Tamburitzans of Duquesne (Duquesne, Pennsylvania). These beginnings occurred through the encouragement of his parents who wanted to develop his love for music and for his ethnic background. Just a few years later, another charter tamburitza group began in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, called the Ambassador Tamburitzans under the direction of Mr. Ivan Yanzetich. It was an all male group that played advanced selections of tamburitza music. Another community group organized by Walter Kolar, called The Tamburitza Philharmonic Orchestra, was in existence. Its purpose was to perform more classical selections for symphonic presentations on the tamburitza. By joining these groups and small combos, a strong appreciation for tamburitza playing developed, which prepared him for acceptance into the Duquesne University Tamburitzans as a performer from 1967 to 1971. Six years of undergraduate and graduate study provided great opportunities to tour both domestically and internationally. Several albums were recorded during those college years, and it was an educational experience to play and perform with so many talented musicians who came from different musical backgrounds. As the years went by, Paul performed and recorded with The Steve Vesolich Tamburitza Orchestra and played many fun gigs with The Continental Dukes of Pittsburgh. The technical side of 'live' recording became an interesting hobby leading to self-recorded albums of The Duquesne University Tamburitzans and, for several years, partial ownership of Granny's Attic Communications. During his ongoing work as Company Manager with the Duquesne University Tamburitzans, Paul penned many musical arrangements for each season's production, as well as for their travel abroad. In 1982, he was awarded a 'Meet the Composer' grant from the state of Pennsylvania for a special musical arrangement. Since 1988, he has been the Managing Director of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans, which has been a tremendous experience of directing music, song, and dance with America's premiere folk ensemble. This season marks 40 years of rewarding work with the Tammies, as a student and as a professional. |

Search | Add | 3 | Tres Chic (2) | TRES CHIC loves glam rock! And Chicago loves Tres Chic! That’s how the band would like to be remembered. They were a staple on the Midwest club circuit in the early 90’s bringing their style of ‘Glam Rock’ to those fans looking to express themselves through good-time party music and style. The band held their own for numerous years bringing the party wherever they played – and the locals knew that this was more than a show, it was a spectacle not to be missed! They were born at the THIRSTY WHALE (Chicago’s premiere hard rock club), back when big hair and rack systems ruled the stage, and when a show was a ‘show’! The thing that really stood out about Tres Chic was that these Contempo shopping, street walking, misfits had more fun drinking and partying than anyone!!! And that’s no exaggeration! They where loud, obnoxious, and very silly looking, but it didn’t stop them from sharing the stage with some of the coolest bands, playing some of the hottest venues, f@#king some of the most beautiful ladies, and hosting a ton of garage and backyard parties. Often compared to the ‘other favorite Chicago glam band’ Enuff Z’nuff, They took the image of glam ten times further. But it only takes a little bit of money, a little bit of an eye for the eccentric, and a few cool chicks wanting to play dress up with you to create a solid ‘Glam’ image. Without the music – you had nothing, and you didn’t last long all dolled up on the ‘mean streets’ of Chicago. They did have the music, and that was evident by the legions of fans who came out to every show to listen to the band run through memorable song after memorable song; but perhaps the biggest drawing power was the sing-a-long power ballad “Memory Lane” – hands down one of the favorite songs on the “unsigned” Chicago scene in the early 90’s. A power ballad in the late 80’s and early 90’s gave a band mileage, and this helped them land many coveted opening slots for national touring artists. Tres Chic Was: Anthony Settecase aka Jami Showboy - Vocals Joe Hibbs aka Brandy Brooks - Bass Brian Pauly aka Brian Brooks - Guitars Tommy Salzinger aka Tommy Up - Drums Tony Zolla aka Tony Z - Guitars Gary Berndt aka G.B. Whip - Drums

Search | Add | 3 | L.A. Big Daddy's | THE FOUNDATION: Picture Los Angeles in 1963. The stately homes in Lafayette Square have birthed a generation of musicians that the community and surrounding clubs will never forget. It’s the normal course of things when there’s no stand-out star, but just close friends and cool people who love what they do. Yet, when the world owes a debt in memory of their excellence, the L.A. Big Daddy’s have come forth to make sure it gets paid - in full. Local music teachers that cared enough, became the foundation to some of the world's brightest stars. For Matt Bragg and David E. Jackson, their dreams became possibilities, as they found themselves hanging out in a studio with Quincy Jones, and then somehow unexpectedly in New York City, watching the musical R&B, Funk, Soul, and Blues fusion, supergroup STUFF, record tracks for an upcoming project. It is not enough that Matt and David have both earned the respect from those who once inspired their thinking, but the musical memories from their beloved City of Angels, Wellington Road, have for decades fueled their commitment to musical coolness. Now the perfection of what they do, is proof that timing is indeed everything. Both Matt and David would be the first to say, that the cool of how and what you do, has always been about the delivery of the music, the stylistic approach, the touch and feel, and your understanding of what works and how it needs to be done - that creates a great song. MAKING MUSIC: Whether it is Jazz, Rock & Roll, Funk, R&B, Blues, or Soul, what lead the childhood friends Matt and David to one day become their musical heroes? They had an early start in the 1970’s working as multi-instrumentalists behind the music of 70’s James Bond film actress Brenda Arnou and Richard Street of The Temptations, and then making music alongside actor Chevy Chase for NBC’s Hit variety series The Midnight Special. They were the first call for American Smooth Jazz saxophonist Ronnie Laws; the 80’s R&B of Loose Ends; and then provided the groove to the blues, for the great ‘Sista Monica’ Parker. Matt Bragg and David E. Jackson are the foundation of the Los Angeles based music group “L.A. Big Daddy’s.” They have a friendship and history that provides insight to the musical roadmap of their first full-length, 12 track, studio recording titled “Rock Your Blues Away.” With good writing comes great songs, about cultural themes that are interwoven throughout our communities. A musical vision written and performed, as a good reminder of shared appreciation for great things and good music!! With Guest Performers: Kee Eso Pitchford, Gregg Wright, Ernie Johnson, and Dwayne “Holyghost Guitar” Watkins. Norman Williams, Adrian Meyers.
