Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Cancelore | Cancelore was born in 1981 near by Chemnitz, Germany. Already at young age, he started listening to his fathers music collection, which was embossed by Jazz and Bossa Nova or got influenced by his mothers love for Harry Belafonte. This laid the foundation for his deep sense of music, which you can hear down to the present day. But also Techno, Funk & all that Soul, Hip-Hop and Punk'n'Roll played a big role within his musical development. The year "Homework" was a turning point in his life where he mainly focused on techno and house music and started off producing. DJ-ing followed shortly after that and contributed to improve his skills and knowledge of quality music. Nowadays you can still find this slight breeze of jazz but also the roots of house music in his music style.

Search | Add | 3 | Ghost Against Ghost | Christopher Bono | Ghost Against Ghost is the post-everything electronic-rock concept and moniker of producer/composer Christopher Bono. Inspired by conceptual, progressive, post and psychedelic rock; art-rock; ambient, experimental, classical music (contemporary and common-practice); the anarchic concepts of late Leo Tolstoy; dystopian epics; and neo-romanticism, Bono founded Ghost Against Ghost in 2008 after he began work on an as yet unfinished two-hour concept album that he envisioned in a dream one night in Brooklyn. To bring the vision to life, Bono assembled a group of electro-acoustic musicians and began performing in New York City & Brooklyn. Within a short time, Ghost Against Ghost became known for their long, multi-media shows featuring “song-oriented-but-stylistically-out-there” forms alternated with open noise, electronic and ambient improvisations. As Bono began preparations for the first Ghost Against Ghost album in 2008, he became increasingly unsatisfied with the infant sound of Ghost Against Ghost. Haunted by continuous visions and auditory hallucinations that demanded he dig deeper, Bono was driven into seven years of near-hermetic isolation as he struggled to develop the technical foundation necessary to bring forth these internal messages.Compelled by the cacophony within, Bono began imagining a sonic landscape different from anything he had encountered. This journey led him to unexpectedly study classical music at the late and unusual age of 27 in search of answers. “I could see the sounds, like a massive and extraordinarily complex piece of architecture, or some sort of alien, psychic sculpture, but I did not know how to realize it technically. … Until I heard Stravinsky.” -Bono Under the tutelage of classical composers such as Stravinsky and Bach and various contemporary composers, Bono began to find answers to the riddle of the Ghost Against Ghost sound.; Over the course of 5 years, Bono released two full classical albums and an EP to critical acclaim. Between these projects, commissions, and commitments, Bono secretly chiseled away on the Ghost Against Ghost material. Finally, after finishing his last album, BARDO, Bono was once more ready to devote his full attention to the insistent call of Ghost Against Ghost. After years of searching and study in isolation within the classical and experimental music fields, Bono had discovered the melodic and rhythmic movement, structure and development he needed to understand to implement Ghost Against Ghost in a current context; the result is an interwoven, wild, sonic tapestry, fused by his knowledge of modern studio production, mixing, engineering and electronics. The first official Ghost Against Ghost release was the epic 15 min work, Checkpoint Charlie. The album was accompanied by an award winning music video by film maker Craig Murray.See it HERE. The first full length Ghost Against Ghost album, still love was released in April, 2017. The album received positive reception including: "Cathartic soul-bearing space prog masterwork." -- Prog Magazine "Still Love is a mighty work of art that juxtaposes pop-sensitivity with an intense listening experience." - Arctic Drones “Evokes a wide array of inspirations to create a vast and intense field of sounds. Bono constructs a darkly spiritual aura in this post-rock inspired composition." -Stereogum "Ghost Against Ghost's New Song "Resume" Is A Slow-Moving, Cinematic Destroyer" -Metal Injection The track Unarm from the still love album also was accompanied by a music video by the visionary film maker Craig Murray. In 2018 a new single Todeserfahrung was released. Currently, Christopher is back in the studio working on a new conceptual Ghost Against Ghost album slated for a 2020 release. |

His works often deal with melancholy and lovelorn characters, and offer a rich portrayal of contemporary Stockholm through the eyes of the flaneur. Söderberg is greatly appreciated in his native country, and is sometimes considered to be the equal of August Strindberg, Sweden's national author. |

Passed almost immediately with the Mojetta's orchestra, in 1946 she became very well known by launching on the radio THE WALTZ OF CANDLES and PERFIDIA, songs that she recorded with her conductor only in 1947: The first was taken from the soundtrack of the film "The Waterloo Bridge" of 1940, while the second, was treated from the film "Casablanca" of 1942. Despite the beautiful and intoned voice, safe and very well set, her career was rather short: In 1948 she decided to retire. |

Search | Add | 3 | Catastrophe Theory | Catastrophe Theory was formed in the early 1980's by high school friends Jowi Taylor, Gordon Nicholson and Bob Esplin as an experimental basement group using tape loops, crude electronics, found objects, handmade and conventional instruments. Jowi and Gordon reformed the group in 1984 and began recording the first cassette, Debris (1985) which went to #31 on the CKLN Top 100 of 1985. Through the nascent fanzine and international community-radio network, Debris went on to critical success at independent radio stations and magazines in cities from Chicago to Stockholm. The second release, Day Rides a Tiger (1986) introduced samplers into the studio palette and resulted in even greater success locally, nationally and internationally. The cassette finished at #1 on the cassette chart at CKLN in 1987 and reached # 8 in the overall Top 100. In 1989, music from Day Rides a Tiger and additional new music was used in the documentary film The Iconoclast: The Images of Richard Slye by Michael Connelly and Malcolm Harris. The documentary aired in Canada on TVO, TFO, VisionTV, Knowledge Network and other cable services as well as PBS affiliates in the United States. In 1993, Catastrophe Theory was commissioned by Harbourfront Centre in Toronto to compose original music for the Canada Day celebrations. The project was a collaboration with the pyrotechnic firm Perfomance Pyrotechnics Associates of Toronto and St. Louis. The resulting piece, Fire:Work debuted before an estimated audience of 10,000 to rave reviews on July 1st, 1993. Jowi and Gordon's reputation for sporadic collaborative creative outbursts has meant a bare trickle since 1993. The latest single, ThunderPrint was in development for approximately three years before being released on an Impact Magazine sampler in 1995. (taken from http://www3.sympatico.ca/e-jowi/cas.html)

For this "mission" he recruits Peruvian, same drummer of L'Impero delle Ombre, Francis Probus and Gabriel Goya on guitars and Nicholas Lestat on bass, giving life to debut "Reborn from the Ashes", pure Heavy Metal horror-concept mini album (22 minutes) featuring as very special guest Steve Sylvester (Death SS vocalist, John's real point of reference) on first track. Search | Add | 3 | Discröyd | DISCRÖYD from Munich/Bavaria is a metal band with a well-marked DIY-attitude. Based on their diverse individual influences they cover several metal and rock-styles from Thrash and Hardcore to Hard Rock and Doom, creating a unique alcohol-soaked sound - oldschool without being antiquated and heavy without being monotonous. Their story began in 2008 when the two ex-Hateful Agony members Matt (guitar) and Marty (bass) decided to start Munich's next big thing after meeting and drinking at a Hanoi Rocks concert. Shortly afterwards AD/AC Motörwelt drummer Matthias joined the band (then called Beermöb). Tim, singer and guitarist of Speedwhore, completed the line-up in late 2008 after having quite a few drinks with Matt in a bar. Several months later they finished writing songs for their first album, started to play gigs and began to record their first full lengths album by themselves – now under the name of DISCRÖYD. Their lyrics cover much-loved topics like alcohol abuse (say what?!), sex and violence, but also obscure, science fiction and sociocritical themes. So far they shared the stage with bands like The Accüsed, Ramming Speed, Alpha Tiger, Indyus and many more. The band finally released their first self-titled CD in late 2013 - also available as a limited cassette tape.

Search | Add | 3 | Bódish András | Bódish András Zenei pályafutását a ’90-es évek elején kezdte. Részt vett több tehetségkutató és zenei fesztiválon a Soho zenekar énekeseként. A Hungaropop kiadó gondozásában megjelent a zenekar önálló albuma Refraction címen, melyhez videoklip is készült. A nagyobb szakmai elismeréseket a Filmslágerek magyarul 3 Magneoton kiadványán, a Házibuli folytatódik című film betétdalával szerezte. Ez a sláger a (Your eyes) magyar fordításban „Talán” címen került a lemezre. Ezután ismét szólóénekesként a Bohemian Alibi Club társulatának fellépő tagja lett.

Dennis Williams lives on Anglesey (Ynys Môn) and Glyn Jones resides at Trefor, hence the name MONTRE. Their repertoire is based on standard “Country” songs as performed by popular Irish and American country singers and popular Welsh ballads. They have also written Welsh words for many standard numbers and given them new treatment and thus a new lease of life. They’ve have had many years experience on the local entertainment scene, Glyn as lead singer with Wales’ first “electric” group “The Caballeros” and Dennis with both the Caballeros and “New Castaways”. Both lads being competent instrumentalists, and vocalists, have a canny understanding of each other’s harmonising talents.

Search | Add | 3 | Ometra | Ometra is a Lugano-based music project offering alternative rock -grunge. Influences include Radiohead, Alice in Chains, and the whole grunge scene with atmospheric overtones in the style of Anathema. In 2017, driven by the desire to start again from the basics, founder Carlo Gervasini (My Stupid Dream, Parole Perse, Doomed Timeline Theory and Beansidhe) starts writing his own songs in the form of 'one man band'. In the recording session he personally takes care of all instruments and vocal parts, accompanied only by the voices of Claudio Lucchini and Giulia Schertler. The first release "Ometra" is in 2019: it gets visibility and a place in the compilation "Confederation Music" managed by Marco Kohler (RSI) with the song "Ahead." This good debut will push the guitarist to believe he can compose better music, with a real band. Thus, in 2020 the writing of new, more dynamic and emotional pieces begins. In 2021, made by a group consisting of Elia Heutschi (drums), Paride Casu (bass), Giulia Schertler and Anastasia Gautschi (vocals), as well as Gervasini on guitars, "We used to look at the stars," recorded and mixed by Stefano Scenini at Stairway Studio in Cimo, sees the light. The work gets further visibility than the previous release and with the track "Crossroads from my Past" OMETRA deservedly returns to feature in the selection of "Confederation Music" . "We used to look at the stars" is an album that helped the project leader accept and embrace the pain, to move forward.... Made in the hope that it will also intercept the feelings of those who have experienced severe suffering during their journey. Choices, the new Album, has been released on April 20th

Search | Add | 3 | Alain Demari | Yapo Adopo Alain De Marie | With his first hit, Alain Demari burst the screen. On radio and tabloids. The young prodigal of Akyé music seduces and wins the sympathy of music lovers. In particular the fairer sex. When he was born, Alain had given up by his father ... and that, at one point, disrupted his childhood. Fortunately, he will grow up in an environment of women, where he has received a lot of tenderness. His mother cradles little Alain and both form a "bond" until 2000, when Alain decides to go to France in order to embrace a real career as a musician. He has the support of his mother. But at the same time, she worries about the loneliness that she will have to do without her adored son. Alain, it must be emphasized, was his only son. He leaves donations. But whenever his mother had a problem, Alain immediately returned to his Ananguié village, to give his support to the one who has always guided his steps. One of his plans was to allow his mother to go to Paris. In 2001, she fell ill. This wish will not come true, because illness got the better of Mary (her mother) on June 12 of the same year. A real blow for Alain. The death of his mother affected him so much that he believed that his existence should end there ... He buried his mother with dignity. And, each time he is in possession of his guitar, the first note he "plucks" is a chorus in homage to Marie, his mother. |

Search | Add | 3 | Mighty Bread | Herman St. Joseph Lowes | The Mighty Bread (Herman St. Joseph Lowes) began his career in 1972 (according to the liner notes of his "Soca Fever" album). He won two calypso crowns and toured the world. Bread recorded sporadically in the West Indies, New York, and Toronto between the 1970s and the 1990s. There were often significant gaps between his releases - for instance, HJL-006 ("Run to the Sun") came out in 1981 in New York, while his next release HJL-007 ("Soca Fever") came out in 1984 in Canada. "Bread as he is known in calypso and steelband circles, derived his name because he always thought of money as Bread, and it is thought of by all as power, therefore, he thought that his Calypso name should be Mighty Bread." - Louie Jarvis, "Soca Fever" liner notes, 1984. |
