Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Breen Schipke | Cairns born and Brisbane trained, Breen Schipke was always destined to be making music. With early tuition in piano, cornet, guitar, bass, drums and music theory, Breen always had music both in the blood and in his head. Arriving in Brisbane at age 18, he began the long journey through numerous bands both original and covers as he sort out that most elusive of roles as a professional musician: to be able to both eat and play at the same time! Involved in numerous recordings and gigging bands (including the likes of Barb, Dirt Petty, Spank, the Dave Ritter Band, Suzie MacKenzie) Breen decided he needed to get a stronger grip on his destiny and set out to learn both sides of the industry on both sides of the mic and gained a Diploma from the SAE and then a Bachelor of Music from the Qld Conservatorium. Majoring in Sonology (the study of sound) with minors in voice, bass and piano. Breen finally then ‘made the grade’ spending 6 years gigging and touring professionally throughout Qld .

Search | Add | 2 | Василий Семёнович Гроссман | Wassili Semjonowitsch Grossman | Vasily Semyonovich Grossman (Russian: Васи́лий Семёнович Гро́ссман; 12 December (29 November, Julian calendar) 1905 – 14 September 1964) was a Soviet writer and journalist. Born to a Jewish family in Ukraine, then part of the Russian Empire, Grossman trained as a chemical engineer at Moscow State University, earning the nickname Vasya-khimik ("Vasya the Chemist") because of his diligence as a student. Upon graduation he took a job in Stalino (now Donetsk) in the Donets Basin. In the 1930s he changed careers and began writing full-time, publishing a number of short stories and several novels. At the outbreak of the Second World War, he was engaged as a war correspondent by the Red Army newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda; he wrote first-hand accounts of the battles of Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk, and Berlin. Grossman's eyewitness reports of a Nazi extermination camp, following the discovery of Treblinka, were among the earliest accounts of a Nazi death camp by a reporter. There is some dispute over the extent of the state repression Grossman endured after the war. While he was never arrested, his two major literary works (Life and Fate and Everything Flows) were censored by the Khrushchev government as unacceptably anti-Soviet. At the time of Grossman's death from stomach cancer in 1964, these books remained unreleased. Hidden copies were eventually smuggled out of the Soviet Union by a network of dissidents, including Andrei Sakharov and Vladimir Voinovich, and first published in the West in 1980, before appearing in the Soviet Union in 1988. |

Search | Add | 2 | Dislogik | A melodic collision of pure energy, passion, and emotion is the best way to describe the Portland based post-hardcore quartet known as Dislogik. With influences ranging from alternative to the underground hardcore scene, Dislogik blends their love of high-energy rock with a deep desire to move and inspire through creative lyrics and original sounds. The result is a musical style unparalleled in today's music scene. "We don't write to entertain ourselves or others; we write to release the emotions that can't be expressed in every day life," quotes bassist Jake Schmitt. "It's never been 'just a band' or a group of friends. To me, it's been four guys connecting on the deepest possible level, creating music that comes from inside," adds drummer Dan Flood. Formed in 2000, Dislogik has evolved as a band and as people from the first practice. Struggling through their first year with sporadic practice schedules and shows, the band quickly learned the necessity of a strong work ethic. "We make things happen. Things don't just happen to us," says guitarist Bobby Dezfulli. "We get out of this band what we put into it." After multiple minor demos, Dislogik Recorded two E.P.'s with in 6 months of each other in Portland's No Moving Parts studio. The two albums "In My Eyes" and "Hero to Zero" plus the band's natural charisma and energy on stage has steadily helped build a devoted fan base and push Dislogik into the local scene limelight. Looking towards the future, singer Sean Dant states, "We have so much room left to grow. I love not knowing where our creativity will take us."

The Jankowski brothers had been in the Tree Stumps and Kismet Maze, while the other guys had been in the Blackweles. Ginny Nims was brought in as a singer to add a different, more polished sound. The group was managed by Eric Stevens and his Brilliant Sun organization. Like his other clients Damnation of Adam Blessing and Wild Butter, they got a deal on United Artists so they recorded a 45 at Cleveland Recording. The record didn't really take off and future recording plans were shelved. Discography: (45) Troubles / I Don't Know How You Do The Things You Do - United Artists 50627 - 1970

Search | Add | 2 | Alien Pathway 22 | Project born as an experiment by the man behind [a=Black Mountains Chronicles], [a=Immortal Agony], [a=Kurai Keshiki] and, in the past, [a=Tombstone]. This experiment sounds very differently from the other projects, since it uses a lot of synth sounds which give a sci-fi taste to the tracks, together with, of course, the pertaining titles. Music is made instrumental but contains some transformed (alienated) vocal samples from real talking girls and some sci-fi old movies. The synth is played live and not programmed and drums are used only on some tracks. Sometimes the soundscapes are a little similar to Immortal Agony but tracks are very different one from each other, so there is a lot of variety. Imagine a genre which you can call Space Death Industrial, but which in some moments blends into Space Ambient and in others transforms into weird Noise collages.
