Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 7 | Scott Nussman | "The context of all art and sound I create is based on my beliefs, feelings, and visual perceptions at the moment it was created. The modern world is filled with too many people who take a variety of things at face value or interpret it in opposition for the sake of attention or a desire to control. Growing up in the 90s and seeing people holding demonstrations calling for the censorship of music during the same time as the Watts riots and Rodney King beating, I was dramatically impacted in regards to my feelings on censorship in general. Creative freedom through sound is one of the last bastions of free speech. Instead of placing blame on the influence of personal or group creative expression, the sickness in our society is what needs to be addressed. Much of my noise and music unapologetically puts forth the darkest aspects of society's underbelly and the impact it has had on me in order to both vent and express my disgust and disappointment. I especially use noise as my outlet for negativity so that I can go throughout life without reflecting that negativity on others or becoming a miserable person. I appreciate everyone who continues to support me. I realize how fortunate and blessed I am every single day. I have so much past and present music I will make available very soon. The newer music and noise that I have started making and have planned ranges in the type of sound. I am in the best place I have ever been in my life. Finally, my dreams are backed with the actions and plans to make them a reality. Sometimes, realizations and changes in habits take years as they did in my case. Every day I am grateful for the events, people, authors, and musicians who continue to inspire me to be better every day. I hope that the newer music I will be releasing later this year will be something that more people can relate to. My music has never had aspects of selflessness until this year. I have never felt the amount of joy and the chills from songwriting that I have experienced in just the past month." - Scott Nussman - 2/18/2022 | |

| Search | Add | 7 | King Alex | Alex Littlejohn | "King-Alex" was born July 29, 1934 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and passed away March 15, 2008. He grew up with his musical family in Forriday, Louisiana. At age 14, he moved to Kansas City and began his musical training with help from bass lessons from Claude "Fiddler" Williams. Formal training at UMKC's Conservatory of Music helped Alex refine his ability to play the bass and he was the first African-American bassist to play an electric bass in Kansas City through the Conservatory. He was a career musician living and working the rest of his life in Kansas City. He performed at local venues, regional and national blues and jazz festivals. He performed with the late Tommy Soul, Lester "Wizard" King, Albert Collins, B.B. King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lawrence Wright and the Outlets, Leon Estelle, "Little-Joe" Robinson and Claude "Fiddler" Williams - just to name a few. His group The Turnpikes recorded a couple of sides in the late 1950's for the Central label, followed by more sides in the early 1960's for Spindle. There was a long gap of 15 years before recording a single for NMI in 1979 and another 15+ years before he entered the most productive era of recording, as a slew of full-length albums came out in in the 1990s and early 2000s. Littlejohn was inducted into the Elder Statesmen of Kansas City Jazz in 2002 along with former employer and life-long friend Richard "Dick" Berkley. |

| Search | Add | 7 | José Raul Hellmer | Joseph Ralph Pinkham Hellmer | Born in Philadelphia in 1913, Hellmer was attracted to Eastern philosophies and had a premonition that he would create brotherhood through music. He came across a stack of old son jarocho records in sale bin, and upon listening to them, had an epiphany and completely identified with the music. Hellmer subsequently came to Mexico in 1946 and began researching and collecting Mexican folklore. He became a prolific investigator of Mexican music. He recorded fandangos in Tlacotalpan, the sounds of roosters, other birds, bells, and the ambient sounds of the Rio Papaloapan. Using a portable Nagra tape recorder, he would visit towns like those in the Pico de Orizaba, recording requinto players, also including the artist Rutilio Parroquin, the great singer and jarana player in Otatitlan. Over the decades, several of his recordings were featured on compilation albums of Mexican folk music issued worldwide by Vanguard, Ocora, and others. Hellmer died in 1971. He said of himself, "I am an ex-gringo from Philadelphia, my friends tell me that I am a Veracruzano, born by accident in the United States." |

-------------------------------------------------------- Nasr is the son of Hassan Mégri - lyricist and composer of the legendary Mégri quartet -. He was born surrounded by instruments and considered them as his toys, lived to the frantic pace of the success experienced by his father, his uncles and his aunt. He grows up with a guitar in his hand, and refines the flexibility of his fingers as he laps into the living room piano. Later, he will study music theory, and will master the knowledge taught by the Music Conservatory of Rabat. From his toys, he will make them his working tools. Like a fate drawn, Nasr will follow in his father's footsteps. Cradled by the movement created by the Megri Brothers in Morocco, and surrounded by the microcosm of the few musicians of that time, this is naturally what predisposes him to become what he always wanted to be : a lyricist and composer. In 2012, he will share his first stage at Mawazine Festival, that brought together the big names of Music in Morocco. It was also the last concert given by his father. A sort of handover, symbolic of an another wave of the Megri movement that Nasr has continued to instill ever since. An undeniably emotional moment since Nasr has continued to perpetuate the traditional back and forth that his parents knew, going from concerts to concerts and locking himself in the recording studios as soon as the opportunity arises. Nasr produces 4 albums and a single on the legendary Ouhmane label, and records his name - and first name - in a catalog which includes practically all the big names in Moroccan Music - all genres and styles combined - - "Fyoum Lefrah" (2011) - "Winek" (2014) - "Baghi Nfhem" (2015) - "Sa3a Dour" (2016) - "Machaal" (2019) This latest wave of the Megri movement is meticulously respected by Nasr. In 2017, like the Megri Brothers, he will begin a Maghrebin tour. In 2018, like the Megri Brothers, he will continue with a European tour. Just a few months before the death of his father, the late Hassan. He went to India to promote Moroccan Music where he gave a concert, and coincidence or not, they were both 27 years old for their respective trips. The numerous distinctions and prizes received from all over the world by Nasr, make him an ambassador of Moroccan Music. But Nasr does not let the light dazzle him, and never ceases to follow in the footsteps of his father Hassan Megri. Surprising, and different. |

| Search | Add | 7 | Veneice Fungchung | Veneice Fung-Chung | A'mari was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica and migrated to the United States in her late teens. Currently A'mari has gain tremendous popularity and causing a buzz in the industry after composing and recording her EP entitled, Vacation". A'mari wrote her first song, “Ghetto Child” when she was 10 years old and recorded it at age 15 at Dynamics Sounds Recording Studio. At age 17, A'mari recorded “Needing You”, another suave R&B single that she also wrote. For many years, A'mari focused on radio broadcasting. After being hospitalized in 2013, A'mari made a pact with God to return back to her music career. A'mari composed and recorded multiple hit singles such as “Don’t Wanna Lose You”, “It’s Your World” and “Goddess” Somehow a year later, A'mari and her family met in a serious accident; everyone escaped death. A'mari refers to this occurrence as “an intervention by God and a continuing journey towards total rebirth". A'mari then envisioned her purpose in life-to entertain and uplift her fans through her lyrics and music. She released “Rising Star”, "Adonai", "Epistles of Love" and more hit renditions. During a brief stay in Florida, A'mari spent time among friends in the reggae/dancehall and created hip-hop renditions on dancehall beats including "Hush"," Million Bucks", "Jungle Fever", "Wet n Wild" and "Cheater Girls". In early 2015, A'mari became the first artist to be recognized by dancehall music lovers as versatile and original. A'mari is always inspired by others; she wrote Kompa music, "I Like" after meeting people of different cultures. "Love has no barriers!" A'mari relates. Currently A'mari is promoting her "Vacation" album throughout the world. "Vacation" EP is a unique blend of lovers rock reggae music blended with a soft touch of R&B. Music lovers describes it as authentic, pulsating and enticing. The artist spent time in Jamaica and felt overwhelm by the demands of relatives, friends; she escaped into the realms of music and created "Set My Heart Free" single. While in the studio A'mari feels secure-she bonds with her musician and created "Vacation" single. After spending a night away in Ocho Rios, A'mari recorded "Magic Touch" and "Touch". The honeymoon was short-lived. However shortly after, she surrendered her soul to music and her fans in final rendition entitled, "Reach". A'mari continues to compose songs based on experience. She is also an advocate for children raped and molested and uses every opportunities to educate the public of this stigma and how to prevent children from being sexually abused. A'mari is pre-destined for great things. She looks forward to going on tour in the near future. A'mari's suave persona and intrinsic qualities has earned her love and admiration universally. Despite her revealing her most deepest and darkest secrets in her songs, there is something still quite mystical about A'mari's renditions. A'mari is not just another singer; she is an emblem of love. |

Unique to Sixxcess’s sound, instead just rapping, uses a harmonic blend, with hard hitting lyrics, while demonstrating clean lyrics and swag to match. The lyricism is crisp, the verses well annunciated and the messages evoke honesty. Clearly influenced by early-mid-‘90s, Sixxcess definitely brings class back to hip-hop through his unmatched sound and straight to the point message, With commanding stage presence, he captivates the audience and delivers on his promise to be an MC with "Swag", and his community eating it up, marking a very promising beginning. First impressions are everything, and once you meet Sixxcess you’ll know that he’s a man about business. Sixxcess is not just your average artist rapping to the women only, he has hard hitting tracks for the streets and most importantly has a message in his music, stemming from the name Sixxcess Quotes: “I am Sixxcess so I shall be Sixxcessful” |

| Search | Add | 7 | Bagga Matumbi | Lannie Glenmore Fagan | Lannie Glenmore "Bevin" Fagan (aka Bagga Matumbi), singer, songwriter and record producer, born May 11 1953; died April 3 2008 Born near Kingston, Jamaica, Fagan moved to the UK aged seven and settled in Battersea, south-west London, where his father was minister of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion church; Fagan first learned to sing there and the soulful voices of visiting brethren from church branches in the US influenced his singing. While attending Spencer Park secondary school, Wandsworth, Fagan became friendly with Barbados-born Dennis Bovell, who had already formed a psychedelic rock band called Stonehenge with another Caribbean immigrant classmate, Errol Pottinger, on lead vocals. Although never officially a member of Stonehenge, Fagan demonstrated his ability to harmonise with Bovell and Pottinger in the school playground. Stonehenge disbanded in 1970 and from its ashes rose Matumbi, a Yoruba word signifying rebirth. Although the group already had Pottinger and Tex Dixon handling vocals, Bovell recruited Fagan, who had briefly worked as a bank clerk after leaving school, to allow for three-part vocal harmony. In its early days, Matumbi gained kudos backing visiting Jamaican stars Ken Boothe and I-Roy, sharing the stage with luminaries including Peter Tosh. Their earliest recording, a cover version of Hot Chocolate's Brother Louie, led by Bovell, gained them a contract with Trojan records, who also issued Wipe Them Out, the first release featuring Fagan on lead vocals, as well as the significantly more popular After Tonight, led by Pottinger. Their reputation was boosted by a cover version, with Fagan on lead, of The Man in Me, a Bob Dylan song the group first became aware of when covered by the Persuaders; Matumbi's rendition was the bestselling British reggae single of 1976. Tired of being pigeonholed as a covers band and generally displeased by Trojan's strategy, Matumbi broke away after a problematic period that saw Dixon, keyboardist Nick Bailey and Pottinger moving on, resulting in Fagan being promoted to official lead vocalist and his younger brother Glaister joining the group. In 1978, the revitalised band signed to EMI's Harvest label, and the resultant album, Seven Seals, contained the nostalgic Blue Beat and Ska, as well as the theme song to the television series Empire Road, which Fagan had a large hand in writing. They also toured extensively with Ian Dury and the Blockheads, which broadened their following, while band members were also involved in side projects, including one featuring Fagan's older sister Sylvia, who recorded under the name Guardian Angel. Matumbi's follow-up album, Point of View, with several songs co-written by Fagan, provided a pinnacle of popularity when its title track reached No 35 in the UK pop charts in 1979. Their final eponymous disc for EMI, and their 1982 album Testify, recorded in Jamaica and co-produced by Fagan and drummer Euton Jones, were less successful. (Source: The Guardian) |
