Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | J.K. Coltrain | J. K. Coltrain was born in Columbus, Ohio. He spent his early childhood days between there and West Virginia where his parents operated a small Mom & Pop grocery store. His Dad also was an excellent auto mechanic and in fact owned a number of repair shops over the years and was a weekend stock car racer. That's one reason why J. K. is a Nascar fanatic to this day:) J.K. grew up surrounded by music & musicians. His cousin, Buddy Starcher was a professional recording artist on Columbia Records and was a regular performer on the then popular Midwestern & Louisiana Hayrides. He also introduced the late Keith Whitley who first appeared on Buddys weekly radio show in Charleston, West Virginia when he was 8 years old. J. K. made his own first appearance on radio at age 12 and first TV appearance at age 14. His Uncle & Grandpa performed together at churches throughout the South. That's where J. K. made his first appearance singing in church at the ripe old age of 11. His first professional job was at age 14 when he began singing with The Pleasant Hill Quartet. A well-known gospel group at the time. Of course in his teens he had to try his hand in high school dance bands like Fire n' Ice and The Four Aces but by age 20 he had returned to his first love country music. At that time J. K. helped form a 7 piece country rock group called 'The Southern Express'. They garnered a great deal of regional success and opened for many popular groups at that time such as Pure Prairie League, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Poco & The Marshall Tucker Band. In 1983 he left The Southern Express to pursue a solo career as his heart was with more traditional country music. He appeared to be taking the music business by storm as he was often the featured artist on Ernest Tubbs Midnite Jamboree and many popular Nashville nightclubs and was dubbed The Star of Tomorrow by Country Music News. He first cracked the country music charts in 1987 with a self-penned song, West Virginia You're Still My Home on the Studio 7 label. Since then he had enjoyed a number of chart successes including being shown in the Top 40 in Europe for 41 straight weeks. He also has made many appearances on radio & TV including The Nashville Showcase, The Midnight Jamboree, Nashville On Stage, The Jerry Lewis Telethon & Stars of Tomorrow Show. J. K. has toured worldwide and worked with some of the greatest names in country music including Jerry Reed, Loretta Lynn, The Bellamy Brothers, Conway Twitty, Buck Owens, George Jones, Tammy Wynette & Jerry Lee Lewis to name just a few. In addition to still recording and performing on his own J.K. is now helping the new up & coming young artists serving as the President of Colt Records Nashville as well as Nashville Radio Promotions, Chairman of The Traditional Country Opry and hosting The Country Star Showcases. He was recently awarded The Texas CMA Entertainer and Best Country Album of The Year awards. J. K. Coltrain is a member of: Traditional Country Hall of Fame Country Music Association Academy of Country Music Country Legends Association Americana Music Association

Search | Add | 6 | Serial Vice | Serial Vice are an Heavy Metal band based in Southern Italy. The idea to found a band was born in 2011 from Alessandro Scorrano (drums) and Andrea Donaera (guitar). After some line-up changes, in 2013 another guitarist, Matteo Cirfeda, joins the project, and in the same year the band recorded the first single "Heroin". In the middle of 2014 bassist Stefano Bianchini and singer Giacomo Albanese joins Serial Vice: with this line-up, the band consolidates in live performances and profiling his sound into a Heavy Metal between classic and modern, gritty and melodic, with various and extensive influences - from Hard Rock to Thrash, from Doom to Power. Between January and February 2015 the band recorded his first EP "Nightmares Come True", with release finally scheduled for 2017 for Sliptrick Records label, and supported by the single "You Are Heroin" (new version of the song "Heroin"), a self-produced three songs demo and by an official video (Master of No-Life). In 2021, four years after the release of the band's highly acclaimed first work, the group releases the new single "The Edge of Fragility", which marks the end of the course started with the first album and the beginning of a new stylistic phase for the band.

Search | Add | 6 | Leg-No | Christian Legno | Berlin-based Leg-No is quickly becoming one of the most exciting names in House music. “ ... Unique, bouncy, fresh, colourful and exuberant on the dancefloor” (Rote Raupe) The Italian-born DJ, producer and label-owner has a long history of passionate music production, releasing his first visionary EP at the tender age of 19, remixing artists like Beastie Boys, Mos Def and Clipse. While living in London and soaking up its unique brand of Hip-Hop, an insatiable evolutionary drive took Leg-No from mastering Techno and Rave to delving into the groove and bounce of new House. “ ...In his productions you can recognize a really cool fresh and bouncy housey touch. He moved first to London and then Berlin to join his friends Mowgli, Solo and Rivastarr. If I had to compare his music to one of them, I will not hesitate to say Rivastarr.” (High Maintenance) |

Search | Add | 6 | Ulysses Manso | Ulysses Melo Manso | Singer and songwriter born in Brasília (BR). He began his career in 2010 with the band Salzband, with which he achieved significant relevance on the Christian scene, presenting an alternative sound to the congregational music of the time. Hits such as Somos um (We Are One) and Meu Coração Te Pertence (My Heart Belongs to You) already indicated his inclination towards rock, but with intimate and vertical lyrics. In 2015, with the album Sine Cera, the band dared to rock even more, but still generated a connection with the public, as shown by the success of the songs Foi de Graça and Oceano. In 2017, the album Sonhar e Viver (Dreaming and Living) showed an even more mature sound, consolidating their position as one of the most relevant bands in the history of the scene. The first single Nunca Me Deixe Parar reached number 13 on the Viral 50 - Brazil playlist, raising public expectations even higher for the band's new phase. With the end of Salzband in 2017, the artist launched the band Amen Jr. alongside Carlos Bezerra, Gabriel Eubank and Gustavo Ferraz. The singles V E R and L U Z marked the beginning of this new chapter in his career, followed by the EP F U T U R O, Ep.1 . Until 2022, when the band released their long-awaited album Buraco No Tempo (Hole In Time). |

Search | Add | 6 | Heybale | The Band, the Myth, the Legend... Heybale! has been holding down Sunday nights at the Continental Club in Austin since 2000. In the current band incarnation, Tom Lewis is playing drums, Redd Volkaert holds court on guitar, Earl Poole Ball pounds out the piano, Kevin Smith plays bass, and Dallas Wayne plays rhythm guitar. With a constant stable of the town’s very best players, the sounds coming from the stage on any Sunday night bring in dancers, hipsters, late nighters and off-duty musicians. Ironically, the beginning of Heybale! was actually at the End -- a club in Nashville where the band played its first performance. The only “post-Nashville” members of the band at that time were Tom and Redd, although they did meet a country singer named Gary Claxton who had recently moved to Nashville from Oklahoma. In 2000, Tom decided to move to Austin where he ran into Earl – they had met previously at the Palomino in Hollywood nearly 10 years before then. Within that same year, Redd and Gary also relocated to Austin, and by June of that year Heybale! had been resurrected. Come on out and kick up your heels on Sunday nights at the Continental Club; you won't regret it. Enjoy!

Tat ran several nights in Sheffield and Chesterfield before hanging up his headphones in 2002, only to make the rare dj mix and track. He also played up and down the UK from Belfast to regular stints in the Big Smoke; playing at famous nights such as Creamfields, The Bomb, Hard Times, and the Soundshaft to name but a very few. |

He returned to China in 2000 and started the band [a8782204], which ended in 2003. After that he mysteriously disappeared all together. He returned with Chao Liumeng, who plays the morin khuur. The two of them went to Tibet on three different occasions in 2003, where Li Nan studied several pagan religions, after which, he renamed the band [a1023569]. In 2005 Li Nan disappeared again, only to return once more as a more mysterious 'skin-headed' person whose corpus was covered in in signs and symbols. |

Four male singers, accompanied by electric guitars, percussion and accordion, they were one of the first "Beatle-esque" groups from Canada. The accordion has a special place and preserves a traditional flavour in dance pieces such as waltzes, tangos, rhumbas, fox-trots, hopaks and other Ukrainian dances. The more contemporary pieces in the Anglo-American style are dominated by guitars and percussion. The tonality of the voices is anglicized, yet the harmony remains traditional and the tempos, dynamic and rapid. Finally, the rhythmic effects are emphasized by accentuated off-beat rhythms. The group released 5 albums. Andrij Harasymowycz - Vocals, Guitar Ewhen Osidacz - Accordion George Sztyk - Bass Stepan Andrusiak - Drums |

Search | Add | 6 | Don Daber | Donald Daber | Don Daber was a Graphic Artist and Photographer, born Kirkland Lake, Ontario May 1, 1929, died April 4, 2019. Don was born in Kirkland Lake, ONT. In 1949 he moved to Toronto to study at the Ontario College of Art (now the Ontario College of Art and Design). After graduating, he began a career in graphics and photography. He moved to Ottawa, ONT, for his first full-time job at Crawley Films where he worked as a graphic artist. In 1956, Don and a partner started their own company called Advertising Art Associates. One of their clients was The Boy Scouts Association of Canada. Don’s connection with the greater drum corps community began in July 1960 when he joined two members of the Optimists executive, Al Baggs and Clare Reid, at a meeting of what was then called the Canadian Trumpet Band Association. As a result of this meeting, he was given a contract to do the artwork and program book for the upcoming championship contest. During his years with [a3887323] (Toronto Optimists and [a3734698]), Don was a photographer, the publicity director and the corps director (more than once). He was also the creator and editor of GCC, Green Capsule Comments with the Toronto Optimists and Gold Capsule Comments with the Seneca Optimists. Don’s cartoons were frequently included in editions of GCC and many were featured in the tabloid newspaper [l2103616] between 1971 and 2000, all of which can be found in the pages of Steve Vickers’ book, “The Art of Drum Corps World.” In addition to his work with the Optimists, he found time to work with both the Ontario and Canadian Drum Corps Associations, serving as a photographer, publicity director and board member. In his spare time he wrote articles for various drum corps publications, produced the artwork for a number of record albums (almost three dozen for the Revere, MA-based Fleetwood label) as well as designing posters and doing the program artwork for a variety of contests. |

Search | Add | 6 | Asenath Noir | Alberto Viel | Italian minimal dark ambient project, started in 2006 and run by A.V., based in Piedmont. Inspired in his first phase by local legends, linked to nature, he later turned towards a more modern approach, turning his attention to modern society and the disease it represents. With an aesthetic of urban decadence, monotony and repetitiveness, he tries to recreate, through dark environmental sounds, the urban decadence of the hive cities, drawing panoramas of imposed solitude, alienation, and anguish of the failure. The feelings that fill the heart of modern man today. A.S is a faded color photo of a street crowded with cars after a storm, the desire to go home and the anguish of finding it empty. |

Search | Add | 6 | Srednep | Kevin Srednep - Vocals Mike Sarkisyan - Guitars / Bass Kevin Talley - Drums ------------------------------------- Since 2013, Srednep have been meticulously crafting a near apocalyptic vision of the future. Highlighting issues around corporate machines and propaganda their music is as much an attack on the modern world as it is a forewarning to our future. Beginning as a studio outfit, the industrial infused darkness of Srednep became channeled through the creative outputs of Kevin (Srednep) on vocals and Mike Sarkisyan (Spineshank) on Guitar and Bass. In the absence of a drummer, the band conjured up plenty of electronic chaos to make their sound nothing short of formidable. Shortly after the release of the Silence EP Kevin Talley (Suffocation, etc.) joined the ranks as the band’s drummer who gave the band a more cohesive identity. Residing in the Netherlands, Kevin and his electronic allies from Los Angeles and Texas did a more Metal focused debut album Social Masks. A record to further explore the dissonant landscapes that engulfed previous offerings such as ‘The Sinner’ and ‘Social Masks’. What’s more, if their creative energies are anywhere near as honed as what was found in their animated portrayal of ‘WW3’, Srednep may well be leading listeners into the final days of mankind. Emerging from the ruin of times long worn face a sole survivor stretches outward to toward where the sun once beamed in the now post-apocalyptic skies. Like all things that have come to pass, society has grown apart. Walking through the desolate streets, people appear more disconnected from each other, as the multi-national corporations devour the fading pulse of a rotting world. Srednep, a defiant force within the howling winds of decay harness drums and guitars, forging their next distress call on top of a near fallen tower as they document the survival of this crumbling landscape. In a world where only the strong survive, each track is meticulously crafted as the rust coated antenna transmits into the night to whoever is out there. The bleak tonal movements emanating from Social Masks explores the fractured state of the human condition; who are involuntarily plugged into the flat screened veil of social media. This illusory tool of communication has become the very means of separation as the black blooded cogs gnaw flesh and part paths. "Everyone wants to be heard, but no one wants to fucking listen. We the fucking parasites devouring this planet. We the anti-cells who create our own prisons." (Kevin Srednep). While humanity has become a parasite upon the earth and Srednep's meditative glance into our dysfunction is one that both implores the brave to listen and terrifies the faint of heart to turn back towards mind formed prisons.Pushing themselves towards a more metallic terrain, devotees of their former transmissions will recognise their trademark frequencies. If their previous efforts pointed toward the darkening of skies this next offering is very void itself. The light has truly been snuffed out from the world. (Bio by Ben Spencer)

A couple of years later, The Deep Water Reunion emerged on the scene in New Orleans when former "Rivermen" Jerry Miller, Barbara Raney, and Bob Hayes reunited there. The band played locally and even appeared on Bourbon Street before beginning a more extensive, two year tour. The tour eventually brought them to the upper midwest. In early 1968 they traveled to Nashville to record a single for RCA Records: "Ruby Foo." While the band had developed something of a regional following, it was during their tour through the upper midwest that they recorded the bulk of their material. They recorded two live albums in St. Paul, Minnesota over a couple of nights in the late spring / early summer of 1968. They returned to the area the following year to record their only studio album, "DWR", in Minneapolis. While some have come to think of them as "a Minnesota band" in the years since they disbanded, they were truly an Arkansas band with a Minnesota connection that only emerged later in their career. The Deep Water Reunion's unique renderings of some of the most popular songs of the late 1960s had kept them in demand for several years, and they have retained a sort of cult following to this day. But by the early 1970s the members again went their separate ways. Subsequently, members Hayes and Miller played as solo artists and in other bands throughout the midwest (and beyond), while Barbara Raney continued as a solo artist, and had a regional country rock hit in 1983. Singles / 7" releases: "Ruby Foo / I Wanna Know" RCA Victor – 47-9609 (1968) [r4688909] "It's All Over Now Baby Blue / Break My Mind" (Self released / Jerral, 1970) LPs: 1968: "Deep Water" -- Recorded "live at The Showboat." 1968: "Deepwater (161)" -- Recorded "live at The Showboat." Note: As both of these live albums were recorded at the same venue and share the same center labels, they are sometimes misunderstood as a single album with a re-issue. What differentiates each are different setlists, different matrix numbers, and different album jacket artwork. 1969: "DWR" - Studio album recorded at Sound 80 in Minneapolis, and released on the band's own "Jerral Records" imprint. Radio Play: "Cindy's Crying" Following the 1969 release of "DWR", this cover of a Tom Paxton song became a signature tune on Clyde Clifford's cutting-edge "Beaker Street" program on KAAY 1090 out of Little Rock. While KAAY's 'clear channel' status helped the band's rendition reach a very dedicated audience, the song was never released as a single. Today their rendition is both true to the underground status of the band and the nature of the Beaker Street program, itself. In other words it has become truly iconic. Name Variations: The Deep Water Reunion is rendered as "Deep Water" (live album / labels), "Deepwater" (cover, live album / 161), and "Deep Water Reunion" ("DWR", cover - Jerral.) |
