Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Нелко Коларов | Composer, keyboardist and conductor (born Jul 19th, 1959, Varna, Bulgaria).

McAllister Whitmer. Whitmer was born a polydactyl in the former screw capital of the world, and currently resides in the former shipbuilding capital of the world. Between screws and ships, Whitmer began mitigating the spectrotemporal constraints of the ’ukulele with the stochastic and bombastic properties of amplification under the stage name of williwaw. More than a quarter century later, williwaw continues to provide this most particular blend of amplified 'ukulele mayhem to all the stalwarts hep to its machinations. On numerous occasions, williwaw has also played sonic foil to silent reels o' film, and plays nice with others in the sandlot. |

Search | Add | 4 | Once The Sun | Formed in 2004 by a group of friends that had one goal, to come together and make a dream a reality. Over the last several years OncetheSun has played hundreds of shows imbedding in people’s minds their unique blend of alternative hard rock and heavy metal. Combining female and male vocals, heavy rhythms, pianos & synths, and adding emotionally wrenching and soul searching lyrics has helped OncetheSun stand out from an over saturated scene. When not playing shows, OncetheSun is always working on new material. In ’07 OncetheSun Released their first album “Shadows” and in ’08 released their 1st E.P. “Blank Stares and Broken Words”. After a year and a half of solid work, OncetheSun released 2010’s “8 degrees below” full length album. Recorded at Bobby Peru recording studio in Milwaukee and mastered at the world famous West West Side Studios, OncetheSun finally found a way to let people experience the power of their live sound. Need convincing? Listen to the leadoff single “Kisses” and the popular “Day You said Goodbye” and you will see the direction the band was musically heading towards. The years following “8 degrees below” brought many opportunities, but it also brought hardships both personal and professional. Multiple rhythm guitar changes combined with the exit of original member & male vocalist Matt Halleman sidelined the group for some time. During the downtime OncetheSun released multiple “industrial” remixes on Bandcamp and worked hard to find a permanent guitarist. The position was filled in 2014 with the addition of Nick Mitchell. It was at this time it was decided that vocals were now to be handled solely by Anna Bohn. Reinvigorated, the group (now with the official line up of Anna Bohn on Vocals/ Piano/ Synths, Nick Mitchell and Jason Rabus on Guitars, Joshua Morrison on Bass and Samuel Morrison on Drums) immediately went to work on a new album. 2016 brought the release of “The Ghost Inside Me”. Focusing on heavier rhythms, darker synths and melodies, and bigger hooks “The Ghost Inside Me” is OncetheSun’s heaviest, most complete, and most accessible album to date. This album saw the band evolve their sound. Still utilizing their mix of alternative rock and metal, this album saw a more pronounced presence of gothic doom and some powerful heavy screams. It saw Anna Bohn become the official voice and frontwomen of the band. It also showed more musical depth from the band as a whole, both in songwriting and in concept. The album has received outstanding reviews and applause from respected sites and magazines such as DeadRhetoric.com, Battle Helm, and Ion Indie Magazine. OncetheSun was also given the honor of being named in the top 10 albums on Bandcamp in 2016 by Dead Rhetoric.com.

Search | Add | 4 | Moms I'D Like To Surf | Winter 2012, as he gets tired of the cold and the snow of the French alps, John John De Vito decides to give up his saxophon and take back his guitar to find some hot waves in surf music. He asks Kristina Fabula, his old high school classmate, to exchange her violin for a baritone guitar. Here is the beginning of Moms I’d Like To Surf ! Obviously, Frankie Goodlord, Bassist and doctor of sixties music spirit, and then Bobby Ballard, ex-punk drummer reconverted to jazz, join the line-up in spring 2013. After several lives playing classics surf covers and some of their own tunes, they record their first EP in 2014. The next year, they work on new compositions and release their second EP "Surf Cops Are Watching You" and their first video clip "Surf Blast Inferno". They are currently working on a first LP, which will be released in 2019.

Part of the American vocal duo “Layton & Johnstone”, Johnstone, along with Turner Layton, sold ten million records between the years of 1924 and 1935. Layton & Johnstone were one of most successful vocal Duettists in the 1920s and 30s, performing for the British nobility at the most prestigious estates and halls. That was until 1934, when Johnstone was implicated in a scandal involving the wife of Albert Sandler, a Violinist in the Palm Court orchestra, the trial was described as follows: “An appeal by Mr Clarence Nathaniel Johnstone, the coloured variety singer, against an award of £2,500 damages to Mr Albert Sandler, the violinist because of the misconduct of Johnstone and Mrs Sandler was heard in the Court of Appeal. The suit came before the President of the divorce division, Sir Boyd Merriman, and a special jury on March 6 and 7, and Mr Sadler was granted a desree nisi.” Johnstone and Mrs Sandler were then married in December of 1935, a month after the Layton & Johnstone split. After which Johnstone returned to America with the former Mrs Sandler, moving into an apartment in Harlem. He found work as messenger for Western Union, 8 years later his wife left him, causing him to fall into a depression, for the next few years he worked as a janitor, dying in a sanitarium in 1953, aged 68. |

Search | Add | 4 | Hellen van Meene | Hellen van Meene (born 1972) is a Dutch photographer known especially for her portraits. For her portraits, she most often approaches girls on the street. She chooses her subject matter by finding girls who "could be said to have ‘imperfect’ faces and 'flawed' bodies". She pre-visualizes the portrait but is open to improvisation. The portraits bring out the "inherent grace in their changing faces and bodies." She usually finds the girls in her hometown. She is also trying to capture some of the details of older homes in the area using them as backgrounds. Over the years, Van Meene has also turned to still lives, portraits of animals, and fashion photography. She has been featured on CNN, TIME and more. She is a sought after workshop leader and has been commissioned to do projects by the Pump House to do a series on teenage mothers and the New York Times commissioned her to travel to Japan to photograph Japanese girls. She is represented by Yancey Ricardson Gallery.
