Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 4 Sammy ThrashLife Sam North Sam founded and ran Traffic Street Records until 2011, when his heroin problem spun out of control. After two years in rehab, he re-emerged with the name "Sammy thrashLife" and a new identity as a painter. These days, he focuses on his own art, selling mostly in galleries, but is still tied to the DIY pop punk scene through the occasional record or t-shirt design.

Alan was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland in the sixties, trained as an engineer and started work in project management in the energy industry in the seventies. Working in this industry has meant that alan and his family have had to travel the world and live in many locations. Home is now perth, Western Australia, but he lives and works in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His photography is taken to another level and becomes more artwork than simple image capture. Alan describes it as trying to recreate what he actually sees in his mind when taking the photograph. Always a lover of digital art and image manipulation. Alan comes from a expressive, diverse and esoteric background of music, photography and digital arts influenced and guided by his father and his younger brother, [a416887], a pioneering electronic music and video artist as one half of [a2549] and [a2263]. Alan also featured as part of the perth based audio-visual band [a966460] taking up the visual duties alongside James on sounds. Alan's plan is to pursue image creation as a full-time career and already has one book published and is currently working on a second. Alan has exhibited several times in Delhi, India, and twice in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Alan is married to Carole with two children, Laura and Craig.

A series of performances and interventions on different stations took them until the beginning of 1965, the date on which they released their second and last EP, also distributed in the form of two singles, a format that was already being imposed on a massive scale by then. Four songs under the recent rhythm called 'surf' and with titles like 'Drink Surf' or 'The Best Remedy'. After a while they became known as "Quinteto 8 Menos Quarto". Once again and as usual, the fulfillment of the military service ruined the continuity of the group.

During its 7 years of existence from 2000 to 2008 the primeTime sublime Community Orchestra recorded 3 CDs on the [l10449] label with new music that doesn't fit anywhere, but received radio airplay in over 60 countries around the world, mostly in Europe and the U.S.; some of the music was also used in cable TV productions on MTV, VH1, Biography Channel, and others. The basic agenda was the fusion, juxtaposition and/or superimposition of simpler music (various forms of popular music) with more complex music (mostly avant-garde jazz, classical, electronic music) guided by a sense of humor, irony and often irreverence. In essence, it's about integrating extremes and opposites, different musics that don't normally belong together.

Search Add 4 Briars Frome "Briars Frome"……. A small village in deepest Norfolk….nothing exceptional about it, just a few houses, a pub, the parish church….and the grand old Manor house “Briars Court” watching over it all…..nothing exceptional…..but for one thing…..it disappeared. …or rather, it was forgotten…no one went there and no one came from there. All memory of it in the surrounding villages began to fade and talk of it stopped, after a while it did not even appear on any signposts or maps of the area. All of this began in 1965, shortly after Ray and Ron Verne bought and moved into Briars Court. The Verne Brothers were a rock and roll sensation and with their new found wealth they decided to buy a country house where they could record and party and enjoy all the things that being a rock and roll star in the 60’s could bring… ….but The Verne Brothers are also forgotten… Now the road that once led to and from the village is overgrown, hidden, and the few cars that pass that way drive by unaware of what lies just beyond the heavy, dark treeline…. …..however, if you stand in the right place, at the right time, through the trees you can see the crumbling chimney stacks of the old Manor house and hear the dull sound of the old Church bell carried on the wind…..as the crows circle overhead….. ....people started to notice strange radio sounds and interference hidden at the extreme ranges of the dial...only heard in certain areas and at certain times unaware how close they were to the forgotten village...and unaware of the eyes watching and the hands reaching...

In the aftermath of the wreck, local singer Shady Stevens whipped up a tune called The Dunreith Accident The result of a broken rail, the wreck derailed 26 cars and caused a hydrogen cyanide spill. Another car, carrying anhydrous ammonia, exploded resulting in flames shooting 100 feet into the air. The fire spread to a trackside cannery and a nearby liquid fertilizer storage tank, which exploded blowing up hundreds of cans of tomatoes which looked like blood spots on nearby patches of snow. Along with the cannery, seven local houses were destroyed by the explosion, but amazingly there were no deaths.

Search Add 4 Shkurte Fejza Shkurte Fejza (born November 18, 1961 in Mušutište, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Kosovar folk musician. She mainly sings traditional Albanian folk music. Fejza's songs were completely banned in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1981 to 1983, and she was imprisoned in 1986.[2] Until Kosovo's independence, songs like hers weren't played on radio or television in Yugoslavia; they were only sold as video recordings, but nevertheless spread among the population. Shkurte Fejza was the most famous singer whose works became popular in this way. In 2013 she received the Mjeshtër i Madh award from Albanian President Bujar Nishani.
