Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Gegenschein | Gegenschein was a Dutch post-rock band that existed from 2013-2022. The members of Gegenschein were Henk Bril (a.k.a. "the Genius"), Rob Hotje (a.k.a. "the Voice") and William MacVaine (a.k.a. "the Wizzard"). Gegenschein was based in Sittard, The Netherlands. HQ was the 'ARSIS Studios' (ARSIS: A Roof Somewhere in Sittard), owned by William MacVaine. The musical style is a post-rock melting pot with influences of Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, Rammstein, Alan Parsons, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Electric Light Orchestra, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Anne Pigalle, Manuel Gottsching, Laurie Anderson and Kraftwerk. Although the name sounds German, most songs are in English. The first album 'Dark Moon Over Paradise' was released in December 2015; the second album 'Struggle For Passion' was released in November 2019. In January 2022 a compilation double lp was released with highlights from the two CD's and two previously unreleased numbers. Work had begon on their third album 'Magnificient Desolation', but COVID-19 restrictions from 2020 through 2022 delayed the work on the album significantly. The unexpected split up of the band (July 2022) unfortunately makes it uncertain that it will be finalized. However it is the intention of the former band members that it will be finished and released on lp or cd. Gegenschein (German pronunciation: [ˈɡeːɡənʃaɪn] German for "countershine") is a faint brightening of the night sky in the region of the antisolar point. [Source: Wikipedia.]

Search | Add | 7 | The Ex-Bombers | The Ex-Bombers are a sinister psychedelic blues duo who play suspiciously resonant songs harnessing the thunder of electric 8-string bass and drums, a pair of wrecking ball voices, and a delightful kaleidoscope perspective of a world on fire. Since 2010 they have been amassing a cult following through their scintillating live shows and five electrifying vinyl releases on Cavetone Records. Thee Story: “Can you hear my heart beat? Whisper in my ear.” Each breath brings with it a shared collective consciousness until, hesitation... it skips a beat. Electricity charges the moment with its velvet touch and The Ex-Bombers begin the sonic ritual with an electric 8 string bass, a small drum set, and a unique blues-meets-garage-meets-jazz dual vocal attack. Their songs are both timely and timeless. The Ex-Bombers promotional photo complete with leather, cat print, and plastic wrap " A sinister extension of the late 60s sound, the pair would have been the house band for the leather club across from the Fillmore West. Think Grace Slick and Lou Reed took over The Doors, add the verve of first-wave garage psych (ex: Music Machine, Chocolate Watchband, Shadows of Knight), and stir in some of the most clever songwriting ever committed to wax. Primal pop hooks, unforgettable frenetic performances, and the type of honesty that only a funhouse mirror can provide. The Ex-Bombers have been a cult band in the making since their debut in a “venue” called the Snake Pit (a townhouse garage) back in 2010 where the decidedly non-punk pair dressed in all black ripped out a set of scintillating originals, perverted versions of covers, and let a pre-recorded VHS tape take the place of banter between songs. Everyone became lost in a shared moment. Curious looks turned to dedicated followers. Since that show, M. Keri Cousins (drums) and S.M. Nancy Walus (bass) have played anywhere with a power outlet on some of the biggest and the smallest stages at clubs, bars, breweries, art spaces, and even three weddings (Catholic, Pagan, and non-denominational for those keeping track). Along the way, they put out five vinyl releases on Cavetone Records that have been met with adulation and intrigue. The releases include multiple long players (“The Tightwire” [2012] / “Five Star Night” [2015] / “New Love Is Easy” [2021]) and 7” releases (Anti-single [2013] / Original Halloween tune [2018]) all recorded completely analog in the spirit of 1967 complete with the crazy concept of playing the songs live / together in a singular take. Known for the production of their albums, the pair have also been the invisible hands that have produced countless other bands' records. The Ex-Bombers continue to dedicate themselves to the craft of being musicians, chasing sounds, and writing songs that describe a kaleidoscope existence that is anything but vanilla.

Search | Add | 7 | Århus Musikkontor | Århus Musikkontor (often spelled Aarhus Musikkontor and sometimes with musikernes egen booking appended to the name) was a Danish booking and management agency located in Aarhus and operating under this name from 1976 to 2004, when it was renamed to [a=Skandinavian]. History In 1973, eight Aarhus bands got together and set up their own alternative booking agency, [a=Musikernes Kontakt], where they booked jobs for themselves and each other. In 1976 Musikernes Kontakt was transformed into Århus Musikkontor and employed [a=Sven Gaul] of [a=Taurus (22)] as daily manager. From 1976 to 1982 Århus Musikkontor was located on the first floor of the original "Musikernes Hus - [l=Vestergade 58]”. In December 1978, after the transformation into Århus Musikkontor, the agency consisted of twelve bands/owners: [a=Shit & Chanel], [a=Djursland Spillemænd], [a=Kræn Bysted], [a=Big Joe Band], [a=Ballast (2)], Hokus Poulsen, Hus Band, [a=Luna (44)], Minas, Solaris, [a=Taurus (22)] and [a=Baldur (5)]. The daily work in the office was handled by [a=Sven Gaul], [a=Lone Poulsen] (from [a=Shit & Chanel]) and [a=Ulla Berg Andersen] (from [a=Folkstow]), who also made booking agreements for 70-80 other Danish groups and soloists including well-known names such as [a=Papa Bue], [a=C. V. Jørgensen], [a=Secret Oyster], [a=Gnags], [a=Gasolin'], [a=Skousen & Ingemann], [a=Trille], [a=Sebastian (5)], [a=Benny Holst] and [a=Arne Würgler]. The idea of a musician-driven booking agency quickly caught on in other Danish cities, and by 1980 several sister agencies had appeared in Copenhagen (see [a=Københavns Musikkontor]), Aalborg (see [a=Aalborg Musikkontor]), Odense, (see [a=Odense Musikkontor]) and Esbjerg. The Musikkontor agencies joined together in a national organization, Samarbejdsudvalget for De Danske Musikkontorer (DDM), which set up a secretariat in Copenhagen led by the former booker in Aarhus Musikkontor (and musician in Folkstow), [a=Flemming Madsen (3)], and, among other initiatives, launched a national transport support scheme and published the magazine "Rytmetryk". However, in Aarhus it soon became apparent that the amount of paperwork and the requirement for fixed telephone time did not fit in well with life as a touring musician. For this reason, in 1982, the Aarhus board decided to professionalize the enterprise and on 1 September a young [a=Bo Andersen (4)] was hired (with a commission salary) to manage the office with 100% free powers. Soon after, Bo Andersen took the initiative to move from the Vestergade 58 location to a more quiet address at Borgporten and employed his friend [a=Stener Nielsen]. While Århus Musikkontor continued to grow, De Danske Musikkontorer closed in the late 1980's together with other Musikkontor agencies. Around 1988, Århus Musikkontor entered the management area and acted as artistic and business advisor for artists like [a=tv-2], [a=Lars H.U.G.], [a=Poul Krebs], [a=Michael Falch], [a=Fielfraz] and [a=Dicte] (see [a=World Perfect]), and by the 1990's it was one of the three major booking companies in Denmark. In 1999, the agency together with [a=tv-2] launched their own record company [l=Pladeselskabet Have A Cigar] with the intention to support and promote upcoming Danish artists. In 2004, [a=Brian Nielsen (5)], previously manager at [a=The Agency Group, Malmö] joined forces with Århus Musikkontor and it was renamed to [a=Skandinavian] in order to increase the international appeal. Appearance history: Formally, the Choral School was founded in 1944 (at first it was called the Music and Choral School, since 1945 - the Choir School, since 1954 - named after M. I. Glinka). However, since it was originally part of the State Academic Singing Choir of St. Petersburg, it has long roots. The choir comes from the Choir of Sovereign Singers, founded in the 15th century in Moscow and transferred in 1703 to St. Petersburg (the choir received the name "Capella" at the end of the 18th century). At some point in the composition of the choir, originally male, there were juvenile singers - boys. Since 1955 the School and its boys' choir have been an independent organization. Search | Add | 7 | Tongångarne | Swedish student orchestra from Gothenburg, formed in 1962. Their first two decades were marked by an eclectic mix of classical music, jazz and marches, performed with great technical skill and in odd arrangements. In the late 1970's the band's lineup changed into a big band, and the musical style changed accordingly to be more focused on big band jazz with a large helping of pop, soul and disco. The late records are mostly original tunes, while the earlier ones are mostly elaborate arrangements of classical "hits". Since the nineties the band have billed themselves as a "show band". Tongångarne is a member orchestra in the federation of Swedish student orchestras, Riks-SMASK.

Search | Add | 7 | A Tree On A Hill | A tree standing lonely on a hill has been watching the passage of time for centuries A feeling of majesty and confidence, the connection with the sur-roundings and the tranquillity of nature. All these are the sources of inspiration for the tracks of A Tree On A Hill. A tree on a hill exudes a sense of majesty and confidence, a connection with the surroundings and the silence of nature. All of these are the sources of inspiration for the songs of "A Tree On A Hill". The composer consciously takes a step back and let the sounds work for him. Born in the early seventies, the sound artist was mainly influenced by New Wave, Synth Pop and New Romantic. The piano and the classical guitar were replaced by keyboard and sequencer at the end of the eighties. Around the turn of the millennium, he produced several pop songs with various artists. Since 2020, he has been producing, among other things, new age songs in his studio, which are released under the artist name "A Tree On A Hill" and have a strong connection to nature. The first EP released, "Lying Under Trees", conveys the feeling of sitting under trees and feeling the wind blowing through the branches and making the leaves whisper. Each of the four tracks is dedicated to a special group of trees. The EP "Mellow Waves", which was released in the same year, takes the element of water in its various forms as its theme. The basis is the water cycle, which is the origin of all life on earth. From the first drops from the cloudy sky, over streams and rivers to the wide open sea. With the first single "Red Flavia", and the second single "Purple Hydrangea", the beauty of the blossoms follows this year. The blaze of colour awakens when the sun hits the delicate petals after a spring thunderstorm. Each individual blossom is delicate, unique and beautiful.

The billing on her debut solo single, “Don’t Ask Me To Love Again,” is: “Ann Bogus of the Fabulous Dominoes", nobody would hear from her for another four years. In 1974, she got a deal with 20th Century. With producer/drummer Joseph Wilson and his “Faux Noir” band, and now calling herself Annie Blue, she cut “Bottle Of Wine” b/w “Lay Me Down,” and then in 1975, “Do You Wanna Do A Thing” b/w “Loving Kind of Woman.”

Search | Add | 7 | Don Daber | Donald Daber | Don Daber was a Graphic Artist and Photographer, born Kirkland Lake, Ontario May 1, 1929, died April 4, 2019. Don was born in Kirkland Lake, ONT. In 1949 he moved to Toronto to study at the Ontario College of Art (now the Ontario College of Art and Design). After graduating, he began a career in graphics and photography. He moved to Ottawa, ONT, for his first full-time job at Crawley Films where he worked as a graphic artist. In 1956, Don and a partner started their own company called Advertising Art Associates. One of their clients was The Boy Scouts Association of Canada. Don’s connection with the greater drum corps community began in July 1960 when he joined two members of the Optimists executive, Al Baggs and Clare Reid, at a meeting of what was then called the Canadian Trumpet Band Association. As a result of this meeting, he was given a contract to do the artwork and program book for the upcoming championship contest. During his years with [a3887323] (Toronto Optimists and [a3734698]), Don was a photographer, the publicity director and the corps director (more than once). He was also the creator and editor of GCC, Green Capsule Comments with the Toronto Optimists and Gold Capsule Comments with the Seneca Optimists. Don’s cartoons were frequently included in editions of GCC and many were featured in the tabloid newspaper [l2103616] between 1971 and 2000, all of which can be found in the pages of Steve Vickers’ book, “The Art of Drum Corps World.” In addition to his work with the Optimists, he found time to work with both the Ontario and Canadian Drum Corps Associations, serving as a photographer, publicity director and board member. In his spare time he wrote articles for various drum corps publications, produced the artwork for a number of record albums (almost three dozen for the Revere, MA-based Fleetwood label) as well as designing posters and doing the program artwork for a variety of contests. |

Search | Add | 7 | Upsetting Keys | Reade Truth & Jake Reif | Emerging from deep within the depths of the Brooklyn underground, Upsetting Keys seeks to inform, to educate and inundate. This time they are armed with emotional, unknown electronic structures that originated back in the late 90s. The audio sculptures presented on this release specifically pass somewhere in a shape between total art form and other, much more subliminal and subdued opaque constructs. Upsetting Keys, a name whispered privately by elite DJ's around the world, is a timeless example of the electronic underground. The project, initially trapped in an era where dull throw-away concepts dominated techno culture, can now freely present their unusual techniques; which involved impossible sampling, maniacal rhythms and infectious melodic content, all of which lay waste to those past aesthetics. |

Search | Add | 7 | overdriven dreams | Uroš Kostić | overdriven dreams is the moniker of Uroš Kostić, an ambient composer from Niš, Serbia. After many years of studying the potential of his main instrument and various other devices throughout work with several bands and projects, most prominently with the post-rock band There., he started utilizing those sounds in his solo work. overdriven dreams seeks to bring the infinite sound fields of phantasmagoric dreams to life. In the process, he relies primarily on experimentation in the field of post-minimalism, drone, and ambient by working with 4-track cassette tape loops, field recordings, and reel-to-reel tape loops. His pieces are characterized by deep ostinato lines and meandering lush textures permeated with string instruments, pianos, and choirs. For his album “symphony // of // murmurings” which was released by the Netherlands label Slow Tone Collages he collaborated with one of the most prolific experimental artists Lawrence English as a mastering engineer. The second album released in April 2024, "four trembles on an imagined occasion," is the result of intensive exploration of sound and the tools used to create it. Utilizing four-channel cassette loops, a sine wave generator, a handful of pedals, and various instruments with the aid of contact microphones, Overdriven Dreams has crafted a complex tapestry of sound textures and layers. Each song is carefully constructed to convey deep emotions and stimulate the listener's imagination. In a short time, he established himself as one of the currently most active ambient musicians in the Balkan region, above all at numerous performances around Europe, where he shared the stage with well-known artists such as Pan-American (ex-Labradford), Alison Cotton, and Wojciech Rusin. |

Search | Add | 7 | Cre•scen•do | From Los Angeles, California Cre·scen·do is the combination of passion, late dreamy-filled nights, and utter love for music. The band has been slowly coming together to it’s completed state since Gregory Cole [Guitarist and Singer] had other projects in the works and decided to take steps forward to revolutionize a new style and sound. It was with this realization that their path toward making their debut album began to unfold. Cre·scen·do formed through the help of John Glenn Kunkel of The New Division under the backdrop of Los Angeles, California. With this combination of talent, determination, and the occasional late-night out to talk about their lives, music, and desires, the band coined their style under the genre “DreamGaze”: a combination of Shoegaze and Dream-pop elements that encapsulate the entirety of the band – a group of individuals with a love for music, and a dream to further their lives with it. Cre•scen•do currently consists of Gregory Cole, Olive Kimoto, and Jess Krichelle.

Search | Add | 7 | Magnus Hjelte | Magnus Hjelte got into the world of electronic music in the beginning of the nineties. Inspired by the English and German techno scene, Magnus started together with his friend Mikael Persson the techno label G-Force records in 1995. At the same time Magnus bought his first music equipment and started to produce music. In the year 2000, Magnus Hjelte got his first dj-equipment, and began to play as a dj. This would be something that would take him deeper into the world of electronic music. The same year G-Force was transformed into the Backbone rhythm collective. A collective with a broader view on music, stretching from the house label Eloge, to the deep techno label Facets and the hard rhythm label GFR. During the summer 2001 Magnus will start a new techno label called 8th Army, a label that will release the darker and harder music from the late G-Force records. A number of new releases on different labels world wide, and cooperation with both Swedish and foreign artists will take both the 8th Army and Magnus as a dj, through the beginning of the new millennium. This won’t be the last words…
