Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | DVJ Kaa | Laurent Jreijiri | Kaa is a pioneer of the Middle East electronic scene, celebrating his tenth year of Dj’ing in 2008, with over a hundred performances worldwide. Born in 1979, and after growing up during the Lebanese civil war, he is expatriated to France in 1989 where he’ll accomplish his education. A musician since his young, he plays the piano, the guitar, oriental percussions and experiments on all kind of hybrid instruments. In 1998 Kaa decides to take his career seriously as a self-accomplished Dj. 1999 was the year where he and his Lebanese friends founded the Beirut Underground (Bug System) project, developing the electronic scene through unique events in the Middle East. After graduating from a French Graphic design school, he decides in 2001 to launch his Vj project, the Visual Suspects; because according to his philosophy the visuals could not exist without the music, they are two elements intimately linked. These two musical and graphic projects will thus be merged together, giving us: The Kaa. Being among the first to initialize a new and single performance of a DJ and a VJ together, creating the term of DVJ - an audiovisual concept completely synchronized. After joining Tribal Vision records, Kaa releases his first compilation called “Cabaret” in June 2008, a concept of the electronic modern ball, featuring highly respected artists from the progressive scene such as Dousk, Luke Porter, Duca, Brisker & Magitman, Tegma and more. His first track “Red Led” co-produced with Motion, also appears on this compilation. In 2008 he became the artistic director and resident dj for the “Progressiv’ nights” parties organized by Gaia Concept at the Nix Nox – in the center of Paris. In charge of making the line -ups, he would be booking some of the most talented artists such as Vibrasphere, Side-A, Solead, Jaia, D-sens, Dj Pena, Dj Ondrej, Dj Mc Gregor just to name a few. Following the steps of his ancestors the Phoenicians, Kaa has performed in many countries such as Mexico, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, India, and all around Europe! He has also played in prestigious venues such as The Mass and the University Of London in the U.K, the Trabendo & the Batofar in Paris, at B018 in Beirut, and more recently in Asia’s biggest club based in New Delhi: The Elevate. He has also been invited to perform at large scale events such as the Techno Parade in Paris and the Street Parade in Bologna. He was in charge of the visual projections during various showcases at the Champs-Elysées’ Fnac. His musical knowledge has made him play with many icons of the electronic scene such as Plasticman aka Richie Hawtin, Jerome Isma-Ae, D-Nox & Beckers, Francesco Farfa, Tall Paul, Antix, Tegma, Atmos, Dj Kristian, Dj Slater, and many more. | Search | Add | 6 | Simon Hopper | 'His songs are topical and intelligent. They don’t pull political punches they try their damnedest to seek a deeper context or reference point in a quest for understanding.' hifi+ magazine If you like your stories unflinching, raw and tender, then this uncompromising, sensitive songsmith is ripe for discovery. At turns provocative, poignant and funny, Simon’s songs pour out of an informed social conscience and a chequered storybook of personal experience. Born in Dublin – the third of six children – to an Irish Catholic Family, Simon was brought to England in his first year and raised in the 1950’s and 60’s, the son of a Lancashire coal-miner. With several careers in fields as diverse as financial sales and dyslexia consultancy (“I had kids to feed”), Simon is now focused on his “tertiary career as a singer/songwriter/guitar player”. He says: “It’s what I’ve always most wanted to do – it’s time.” | |

They worked closely with a variety of biker brands showcasing their music at collaborative moto events. Their music has also been used to help promote charities such as Make-A-Wish and various addiction recovery programs. Following the release of the first 3 singles, Broken Dollars released a full length album Hope & Fate in September 2019. It included re-mastered singles and brand-new studio recordings. At the start of 2020, a year musicians will never forget the band release Black Skulls, but after the entertainments industry was forced to shutdown, the band were forced to pull out from some of their biggest plans to date. Due to the excessive time spent away, in July 2021 both Luke & Simon decided it was time to close this chapter and move onto separate projects. But, not without leaving something for all of those who had followed their journey. The final offering Strangers (Let Rock N' Roll Save Your Soul) was their farewell track, released 13th August. Luke continues his lockdown born solo project, Shadow Bones and who knows what else will come from this duo in the future.

| Search | Add | 6 | Pitt Linder | Wolfgang E. Linder | Swiss musician, recording engineer, radio-host, PA-builder etc. from Basel. Wolfgang E. (Pitt) Linder was born in Bern on 8 April 1924. Studied violin and clarinet at the Bern Music Conservatory, before discovering the tenor saxophone and American jazz which he helped introduce to Switzerland through orchestras and bands. He started out to play in some local Basel Jazz combos together with his brother Albert Linder in the early 50s. His first Rock & Roll record (Heartbreak Hotel b/w Minor Rock by Die Rock & Rollers) came out as a vinyl 45 back in ca. 1956/1957 on Tell Records. By 1957 he would become a recording artist for Grammoclub Ex Libris. From 1957 on until ca. into the early 1970's Big Pitt Linder would also be hosting his own weekly radio show on the national Swiss Basel Radio, where he would usually play some music by his own bands, mixed with lots of music by other bands. He used to record and a t times conducted hundreds of records for Ex Libris, and some other labels. Those records were usually recorded at Landgasthof Riehen (Basel), or at Radio DRS, Basel. His firm Linder Electronics, Basel, installed sound systems in discos, auditoriums and concert halls. The PA-system from the first Swiss Rolling Stones concert in Zürich was built by Pitt Linder. His undertaking used to be called "Linder Electronics" back then. Linder Electronics existed from the early 60s until around the mid '80s. Pitt Linder used to build the PA's for most of the local Basel Beat-bands from the 60s in order so that they could play in bigger venues. By the mid-60s virtually nobody would remember him as an old Jazz, and Rock & Roll musician anymore, but he built the PA system for the Montreux Jazz Festival. Later on towards the late 80s he moved to New Jersey, USA, to become a famous recording engineer (for mostly classical music) in New York City. He designed and installed the sound and light system for the Swiss Pavilion for the World Expo in Tsukuba Japan (1985). The last 14 years of his life were spent in Victoria BC Canada where he enjoyed hiking and the renowned classical and jazz community. He was a friend to the Victoria Conservatory of Music, who established a Pitt Linder Memorial Fund for young musicians after his death at the age of 94 on 1 December 2018. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Kikipopo | Noah Thompson | Born from the cosmic dust of discarded circuit boards, Kikipopo quickly became an electronic music sensation with his uncanny ability to turn everyday appliances into single day appliances. Legend has it that Kikipopo's first concert involved a synchronized symphony of toasters, blenders, and alarm clocks that left audiences both amazed and hungry for breakfast. Offstage, Kikipopo is known for his eccentricities. He insists on wearing a wide assortment of soggy headbands at all times, claiming that they help him pick up AM radio. He has been spotted sipping apple cider vinegar while tinkering with vintage synthesizers that emit confusion-scented smoke. Despite his quirks, Kikipopo's influence on the electronic music scene cannot be denied, as he continues to push the boundaries of what is considered danceable, and music. And so, Kikipopo's legacy continues to pulsate through the veins of the west coast rave scene, forever pushing the boundaries of sound and good taste. Whether he is composing symphonies on a keyboard made of Slim Jims or leading a parade of dancing piranhas, Kikipopo remains an icon of smooth jazz, reminding us all that sometimes the least-traveled paths can lead to the back of a 7-Eleven, and isn't that where we're all trying to end up? |

In 1925, his family moved to Cincinnati, OH, where he later attended the University of Cincinnati. He then enrolled at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music to study both piano and voice, graduating in 1931. As early as 1930, he performed professionally as an organist in Cincinnati, Ohio. Starting in 1931, he sang and played piano or organ three times a week for Cincinnati radio station WCPO. He then made his way to Hollywood, where he performed in a Columbia short and had another thrice-weekly radio show with a radio station. In 1940, he moved to New York City. There, he was signed up as a singer by NBC radio. In July 1942, he recorded several titles of Irving Berlin's popular Broadway musical "This Is The Army" for the Victor album of the show. Even though the show was billed as having an all-soldier cast, however, Harding only enlisted in the U.S. Navy on December 3, 1942. After being honorably discharged on March 8, 1945, he went back to New York, continuing his radio career. He performed for many years on the Mutual Broadcasting Company's show "Faith in Our Time," but also played the Barberry Room of the Hotel Berkshire and had his own publishing company. He recorded for the [l=Jubilee] label (1952) and on a Victor-custom recorded LP released by the [l=Wellington Record Company] (1955). |

| Search | Add | 6 | Joan Marie Polo | Joan Marie Polo began in 1994 when two twelve year olds making home movies in Phoenix, AZ concocted a character named Joan Marie Polo. Songs were recorded with one member on tape loops, the other on vocals. Instrumental elements of songs from the 80s and 90s were looped, and vocals were overdubbed. Lyrics were typically not written, but ad-libbed. Joan Marie Polo recorded four tapes between 1994 and 1995. In 2000 a CD was made, The Love & Affection I Used to Have, which compiled a selection of songs from all four tapes (mostly from 1994’s Zig Death). The compilation CD wound up in the hands of Irwin Chusid who played JMP on WFMU. Additional songs were made available through MySpace. | Search | Add | 6 | Dennis "Scorcher" Williams | Dennis Williams | In Reggae music, like other genres, artists and producers leave their mark on an industry and then quietly fade away. In the ‘early days in Jamaica – the late 60’s- names like JJ, Clancy Eccles, Coxsone, Duke Reid, Bunny Lee, Prince Buster, Lee Perry, Keith Hudson, Joe Gibson and Randy’s and High Note were the producers known by the public. However, there was one name which kept appearing on some blank ‘killa’ 45s played in the dancehalls: Dennis Williams aka SCORCHER. Every sound system owner spoke about Scorcher. A part of every major sound system’s routine, involved sending the DJ/selector to ‘check wid Scorcher and see what him have.’ Dennis Williams began delivering records to sound system owners at age 12. “I used to deliver records on my roller skates on Sunday mornings when the operators were just getting out of bed,” he recalls. But Williams was to move way beyond that. By age 16, he had teamed up with George Wade and Osmond ‘Junior’ Holton to form ‘The Scorchers’ and did their first record – Ugly Man- for Lloyd the Matador. It was an instant hit with the Jamaican public. It skyrocketed to number one on both Jamaican radio charts, selling some 70,000 copies! And it was then, ‘Lloyd said to me boy you are Scorcher’. The name stuck ever since. Other records charting on the Matador label, included ‘Hold on Tight Mary Ann,’ in 1968 which dethroned the then number one single in Jamaica from the Ethiopians, ‘Everything Crash’’; ‘Tighten Up Yourself’ and ‘What a Condition,’ a song along the lines of ‘Everything Crash.’ Scorcher had proven himself as a producer and began to attract the attention of the biggest names in the business, both artists and studio owners alike. As a producer, Dennis Williams worked with the then Federal Records. Duke Reid, among the biggest names at the time, but it was at Studio One that he really came into his own, producing notable hits of that period, from artists like the Gaylads, Larry Marshall, Bop and the Belltones and a host of still unnamed ‘scorchers’ on blank labels. These were the favorites of the sound systems; the one in a million hits that never made it to radio. Today Dennis Williams is still producing. He migrated to California in 1969 and toured Europe, the US-Pacific region and North America for a while performing at nightclubs and promoting concerts. In 1970, he released the first reggae LP, conceived, recorded and produced in California, “What a Bam Bam.” In 2013 He comes back full circle to his Skinhead Reggae roots teaming up with Jandisc Records producer J Bonner and Jandisc house band ‘the Black Emeralds.’ His single titled ‘Record Breaker’ is due out May 2013 and highlights his ‘talkover’ talents as a deejay proving once again that there’s simply nothing SCORCHER can’t conquer. Her music lives where pink sleepover aesthetics meet horror movies whilst 1950s ballads crash into modern rock, offering fans a world that’s as visual as it is audible. | |

He worked as a pianist and composer first in Hedvigsfors in Hälsingland, later in Norway from 1900 to 1909, and finally in Hudiksvall. He held the state composer's scholarship between 1899 and 1927. He was elected as member number 555 of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music on 30 October 1917.

| Search | Add | 6 | Ricky Zaziky + Die Holidays | Novelty and parody project by [a=Mathias Bozó], starting in 1993 with the song "Du hast noch Sperma in den Haaren", that in the subsequent years was accomplished with a bunch of similar songs. In order to mark the project as a parody and to separate it from his other projects, the artist created the fictional character [a=Ricky Zaziky]. The early demos were produced and recorded by Mathias Bozó himself in Heidelberg. After sending a demo tape to german TV station VIVA in 1997, the artist appeared on [a=Stefan Raab]'s Vivasion TV show with the Sperma song (and a fake playback band). 1998 four tracks from the repertoire were released on a music cassette (later available as free mp3 download on ponkoff-music.de) with all music played by the artist. 2002 the artist appeared on british Channel 4, once again with the Sperma song. After moving to Lüneburg in 2002, Mathias renewed the concept, the songs and the stage show for his Ricky Zaziky appearances. He formed a live band (The Holidays) and recorded new versions of the old songs and some new novelty songs. In 2008 he published a Promo EP with four songs, followed by a full album, recorded with his band and a couple of guest musicians. Anyway, the concept of the project and the musicians had aged in between, so shortly after the album release Mathias Bozó ended the project, seeing the 2008 album as a gift for all fans who had been waiting for the album for nearly 15 years. | |
