Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 RP Smack RP Smack: aka - THE GO TO MAN FOR POLICE SECURITY; KEEPING CHICAGO UNDERGROUNDS AND WAREHOUSES IN CHICAGO OPEN TILL 10am - 1992 - 2002. RP Smack is best known as the man behind ripe productions, "A true American Hero" Scotto, one of America's Founding Fathers of the EDM/Rave scene" called him responsible for 100's of underground events in Chicagoland."A true pioneer. " He was a pioneer to the warehouse rave in Chicago and the first to bring Jungle to our town. No one man was more in tune (or took such huge chances) as RP to pursue such a love for Jungle."Scott from Dubshack. True, RP's best known as a memory maker and production pioneer finding holes, solving problems and finding solutions was rp's role in the Chicago underground scene throughout the 90's and to this day but he's also known as a well balanced DJ leaning towards the darker dubby vibes and breaking new sounds within DnB like his Angelic Anthems Dub Shack 005 classic 1994 mix. Search Add 2 Andreas Roet Born in West Germany close to the Netherlands border and the Ruhr-Area he started creating music 1996 at age 13. Influenced by the underground techno, acid and drum ‘n’ bass scene he learned to program synthesizers, drum machines, to produce and mix at a young age. Years later, still pursuing his career as a design engineer for special machines, he returns to build a studio and create music for the clubs. His enthusiasm for dark and hypnotic atmospheres, a mix of mechanical and deep sounds with endless layers, soundscapes, patterns and chords rushing through old warehouses and underground clubs still remains.

Search Add 2 Mystagen Rock band from Pennsylvania, USA. Not much is currently known about them, but the earliest archive of their website is from 13 April, 2003. Seem to be influenced by bands like Soundgarden or Stone Temple Pilots. The inlay of their album indicates someone named Brian Dasch may have been their manager. The band seems to have been part of a motorcycle club called the Lonesome Losers who have/had chapters in Stanhope, PA and Samsula, FL.
