Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

In 1999, he begins to ‘play’ with music with a simple software on PlayStation. He starts to get into the music world in 2005, switching to Mac and using Logic, a well-known music production software. After so many years of study and attempts, in 2012 enters into the production world, using the pseudonym ‘Il Viaggiatore’ with the Gamepad Records independent label, debuting with the single ‘Anima’, containing three electronic tracks. One year later, Gian Paolo releases EP ‘Fotogrammi Di Vita’, a mini collection of unpublished tracks. In Gamepad Records, Gian Paolo continues to produce other tracks and various remixes of songs by other producers. His tracks are placed in various compilations. In 2013 Gian Paolo produces the single ‘Melancholy’ on Italo Rumble Digital independent label, managed by the producer Salvatore De Rubis. He continues to work for both labels and in September of 2014, after a brief stop, Gian Paolo leaves ‘Il Viaggiatore’ pseudonym and he signs with his real name, he produces the single ‘Spirit’ with the orchestral introduction produced by Ruben Paganelli, a well-known musician, arranger and composer who also worked in Media Records alongside Gigi D’Agostino. The 2015 is surrounded by a variety of productions that Gian Paolo produces on its own digital label. In February 2016 Gian Paolo sets up the record label Fountains Records. Time will tell… |

| Search | Add | 4 | Steady States | Steady States began as a casual jamming project between Mark and Kyle. After a while, some song ideas developed and they decided to form an actual band. After some false starts with different drummers, they settled on Bob, whose solid, powerful, hardcore punk-informed drumming perfectly complemented Kyle’s melodic bass lines and Mark’s angular, dissonant guitar riffs. The lineup was solidified in February 2011 with the addition of Joel on vocals and guitar. Joel’s unhinged and oddball vocal sensibilities turned out to be well-suited for the band’s strangely natural-sounding mix of hardcore, noise and post-punk skronk. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Darío González Moreira | Darío Moreira’s multicultural origins reflect a wide variety of influences in his compositions. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1962, into a family of Italian-Argentine and Portuguese-Galician emigrants, who returned to Galicia in 1964. He grew up in the town of O Porriño, in an “indianos” house run by his paternal grandmother. The rhythmic sound of the train, which crosses the town through the center, is part of his first sound memories. His mother, Lucía Moreira, a native of the province of Santa Fe (Argentina), transmitted her culture to him through literature, gastronomy and music. Since he was a child he had contact with the tango of the Rio de la Plata and argentine folklore; He learned the generic “palos” of flamenco with the gypsy community, and participated in several popular music groups. He studied Classical Guitar with professors Javier Fernández Oria, Uxío Mayo and Tomás Camacho at the Vigo Superior Conservatory of Music (Galicia), where he had the opportunity to receive master classes from maestro José Tomás, who highlighted his expressive strength. He also participated with teachers and students in jazz sessions, learning in a self-taught way. Within the folk music scene, he formed the group [a2451125], together with [a5146653], [a2525264], [a5146655] and [a5146654], performing a copious work as an arranger and composer on the traditional music repertoire of Galicia. They recorded 5 albums and performed at the main folk music festivals, being one of the Galician groups with more projection in the 80′s, and awarded with the Galician Critics Prize in 1989. Faced with the need to resolve the aftermath of a youthful fracture in his left arm, he started to use in an intuitive way technique similar to the renaissance “dedillo”, which consists of the alternate pulsation of the fingertip and fingernail. This allowed him to perform scales and melodic phrases at great speed, and also, to apply this resource on acoustic and electric guitar, getting the effect of the pick with the fingers. By observing this way of playing the string on many instruments from different times and cultures, he deepens the study of world music, applying innovative guitar techniques in his compositions and developing the capacity for improvisation, from a language full of rhythmic, melodic, harmonic and timbre resources. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Open Fire! | Coming out of Tacoma, WA, Open Fire! formed in late 2005. Over several years, they progressed and shifted line ups and directions, but always had a core philosophy: to write passionate, aggressive music. Combining their influences of metal and hardcore, and using forms of melody and conscientious lyrics (be it personal or political issues), the band's effort culminated in their 2012 full length album "I Am the Curse," digitally self-released. The album's lyrics tackles socio-political issues as well as detailing personal struggles while blending heavy riffs, melodic leads and vocals reminiscent of bands like Poison the Well, Shai Hulud, The Carrier and Misery Signals. The album also features guest vocals from The Ghost Inside vocalist Jonathan Vigil, as well as a solo from guitarist Kyle Rasmussen of Vitriol. They are releasing their first material in 8 years in November 2020, rerecordings of a few choice tracks from their 2007 full length, “Built to Abandon.” | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Taming The Outback | Taming The Outback were a three-piece from Southend-on-Sea (Essex, UK) and were ... * Daryl Amos >> Drums * Tony Sampson >> Guitar & Vocals * Jason Sherwin >> Bass (died in 2011) The band were active from 1986 to 1989. While they spent most of their time playing outside of the town itself, they were very much a Southend band and established a large and loyal following all across the UK. The original three members formed after criss-crossing each other’s musical paths in South East Essex in the early 1980s. Melbourne-born drummer Daryl Amos and bass player Jason Sherwin first played together in local band A Wreath For Brezhnev, later meeting-up with guitarist/singer Tony Sampson, who was then playing in the band Playground, to form Taming The Outback – a band characterized by an aggressive, driven, rhythm section, strong self-penned songs with a rich, echo-saturated wall-of-sound guitar. Taming The Outback soon began recording at Elephant Studios in East London, where they recorded their debut single Blue Heart / Fire & Smoke – now a minor rarity due to limited distribution and a tiny pressing of 500 copies. However, their public profile rapidly changed when the band attracted local and national press attention with their infamous “crucifixion” publicity shoot – taken (without permission) on Salvation Army land. At the time it was claimed to be in protest over “religious hypocrisy” and “obscenity of ownership of vast tracts of land in the hands of the churches.” It was, of course, pure coincidence that the band were also preparing for a second single: Eight-Hour King / Crack In Your Brain. The image found itself splashed over the local newspaper, The Evening Echo, accompanied by headlines screaming “Blasphemous!”, “Sick!” and a multitude of complaints by local Christian groups. Soon after, national UK tabloids picked up on the story. Whether or not it was a cheap publicity stunt, atheistic protest or a work of art is still a subject of debate among those who remember it. Nevertheless, the punk and post-punk generation always regarded religious, political and other national institutions as legitimate targets for comment. Playing live became a primary focus for the band but the endless gigging, drinking and the failure to release the aforementioned second single and the LP (already recorded) probably marked the beginning of the end of the band. Taming The Outback itself played their last gigs in 1989 with the aggression being turned inwards between personnel and instruments. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Fabulous Studio Band | In 1953 Musical Director Frank "Buck" Shaffer moved to Porterville, CA and formed The Fabulous Studio Band of about 20 students from both the Porterville High School and the Porterville Community College. The second studio band of its kind in California, FSB went on to play around the world in many famous venues throughout decades. Their third album "Have Band Will Travel" released in 1963(?) is a compilation from the bands songs after being sent on tour to play for GIs in Japan, Okinawa, Korea, and Hawaii. According to buckshaffer.com, "the tour lasted six weeks and the Band appeared on Nippon TV and did a Far East network radio show that followed President Kennedy and his famous address on the Berlin Situation." The fourth album from the FSB, released in 1972(?) "Celebrates 20 Years in the 20th Century" is their last and final album under the direction of Shaffer. Some of these are believed to be recorded/pressed in Santa Maria, CA(?). In 1996 and 2000 two CDs were independently released by the FSB under the direction of Jim Kusserow, "Still Swingin' After All These Years (96)," and "Plays Capitol Jazz (00)." Today the Fabulous Studio Band continues under the direction of Clark Keele. | |
