Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Remmie | Dread’i originally hails from a small village called Paix-bouche in the Commonwealth of Dominica, where he had been told many stories about himself as a baby being moved to dance at the sound of reggae music. He has performed with many international reggae artists such as: Culture, Beres Hammond, Steel Pulse, Gregory Isaac, Third World, Burning Spear, Shaggy, Tanya Stevens and many more. His musical idols are the great Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer. Dread’i Rythm Force would like to extend his gratitude and love to all people of different walks of life, but most of all, to all of the musicians who have enabled him to pursue his musical career such as: Neville (Fatts) James, Roelof (Basses Matthew), Fred York, Nikita Christmas, Hilroy Honore, Cornelius Roumou, Roman Price, Conrad Sisco Richardson, Edward Charles, Burt Caston Gauw, Swadie, Carl Forde, Farncis Durand (Elky), Tijon Burgland, Ian (Fatta) McLean and Connis Vanterpool, the depth of things, among many others, We love you St. Maarten/St.Martin and Dominica. Search | Add | 4 | Philips Wouwerman | Philips Wouwerman also Wouwermans | Philips Wouwerman (also Wouwermans) (24 May 1619 (baptized) – 19 May 1668) was a Dutch painter of hunting, landscape and battle scenes. Philips Wouwerman was one of the most versatile and prolific artists of the Dutch Golden Age. Embedded in the artistic environment and tradition of his home town of Haarlem, Wouwerman made an important and highly influential contribution to the canon of seventeenth-century Dutch painting. His pictures were in demand during his lifetime, and even more sought after in the 18th century. Throughout Europe, formerly princely art collections like in Dresden and St. Petersburg still bear witness to this widespread admiration of Wouwerman's art. Born in Haarlem in 1619, the son of a now altogether obscure painter named Pouwels Joostsz. Wouwerman, little is known about the artistic schooling of Wouwerman. According to Cornelis de Bie, he studied with [a=Frans Hals] (1581/85–1666), but the particular style of Hals didn't leave a foot mark on his oeuvre. Apart from a short stay in Hamburg at the end of the 1630s, Wouwerman seemed to have lived in Haarlem during his whole artistic career and died as a prosperous member of the community at the age of 48. He joined the Haarlem Guild of St. Luke in 1640 and here took on several official posts in the years to come. Wouwerman also worked as an estate agent in his home town, as many documents in Haarlem archives mentioned the artist in this context. Wouwerman started his artistic career with simple depictions of everyday life in the tradition of the bamboccianti by Pieter van Laer (1592/99–after 1642). His paintings of the mid-1640s often feature a diagonal slope of land, a tree which functions as a repoussoir, and figures accompanied by horses. Over the next thirty years he developed an individual style, treating a wide range of subjects from genre and landscape to military and religious scenes (equestrian scenes, hunting and hawking parties, landscapes with travelers, cavalry battles and military encampments, peasants festivities etc.). He is noted for his skill in the depiction of horses of all breeds seen in motion. The art historian Frederik J. Duparc calls Wouwerman " undoubtedly the most accomplished and successful 17th-century Dutch painter of horses". The masterpieces from his best period (around 1650–1660) are of indisputably high quality, beautifully combining imaginary southern landscapes and a typically Dutch atmosphere. Wouwerman's paintings are characterized by subdued colors, a cool atmosphere and a wealth of witty, anecdotal details. He died in Haarlem. At an early age, Wouwerman married Anna Pietersz. van Broeckhoff with whom he had ten children. They lived on the Bakenessergracht in a house that was also lived in by Haarlem painters Cornelis Gerritsz Decker and Hendrik de Meijer. Seven of the Wouwerman children survived and, after the death of their mother in 1670, accepted a substantial inheritance. Jan and [a=Pieter Wouwerman], the younger brothers of Philips, were often regarded as close followers whose pictures seemed to have been frequently attributed to Philips. And indeed, the oeuvre of Pieter (1623–1682) clearly manifests the influence of Philips with regard to the range of subjects, but regarding the artistic style, Pieter had quite one of his own. And Jan (1629–1666) was a rather autonomous landscape painter. Out of the countless followers, some of the most gifted artists working in Wouwerman's style are worth mentioning: Jan van Huchtenburgh (1647–1733), the brothers Jan Frans (1683–1750) and Joseph van Bredael (1688–1739) as well as Carel van Falens (1683–1733). His registered pupils were Johannes van der Bent, Hendrick Berckman, Eduard Dubois, Nicolas Ficke, Barent Gael, Anthony de Haen, Emanuel Murant, [a=Matthias Scheits], Kort Withold, and his brothers. The first retrospective exhibition of Philips Wouwerman's work took place in Kassel, Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, and in The Hague, The Royal Picture Gallers Mauritshuis, 2009/2010. |

Search | Add | 4 | Xaque | Diogo Santos, Lee Miranda, Tony Cirne, Peter Cabrita, Pedro da Costa, Burt Fernandes, William Condesso | Xaque” pronounced (shock) is a Luso-American band from the New Jersey / Philadelphia area. The Portuguese word Xaque means “Checkmate”. Formed in 1992 when a few friends and original members of the band Xaque, met to record a few songs while experimenting with new recording equipment. Within months they found themselves expressing their Western European musical roots and sharing tales of heroes and heritage. Full of vigor and inspiration, they enthusiastically continued to record and draw together individuals with similar aspirations to contribute to their projects. In the summer of 1994, a vision and conviction had emerged. And as they say; the rest is history. XAQUE’S debut recording, "EVOLUÇÃO", released in 1995 was the result of their journey in the recording studio. As sons of first generation Portuguese immigrants, the undertone was to convey social awareness, political upheaval and fond remembrance of their founding fathers. Shortly after the release of "EVOLUÇÃO", XAQUE performed in various concerts in the United States with well-established performers from Portugal. XAQUE proved their worth when they took center stage at the Portuguese American Heritage Concert at the TRUMP TAJ MAHAL (Atlantic City NJ). Sharing the stage with XAQUE was [a661010], [a767164], [a1474205] and Fernando Pereira. Shortly thereafter XAQUE joined [a125903] for a three concert series of LOUD MUSIC and FUN in New Jersey. XAQUE remains the only US based band to have performed in concert with Portuguese artists of this magnitude… Having fostered a relationship with [a661010], XAQUE believed his collaboration on their recordings would bring more awareness to their project. In the Winter of 1996 Rui Veloso returned to the United States to participate. Today XAQUE find themselves survivors of life’s challenges, and on October 15th of 2002, the anticipation ends. Xaque will release their much-anticipated follow up CD to EVOLUCAO UNPLUGGED titled ALMA NUA. Xaque's "Herói do Mar - Unplugged" was nominated for the 2013 IPMA awards for best Rock Song. |

Search | Add | 4 | 33blackLP | Mark T. Davis (Omenya) and Allan Zane (WYRM, Solumenata, Le Scrambled Debutante etc.) | 33blackLP is the project brainchild of Mark Davis (Omenya). He is joined by Allan Zane (WYRM, Solumenata, Le Scrambled Debutante, etc.). Davis’s and Zane’s styles are similar, yet unique enough to augment each other’s work in a manner that is truly sublime. 33blackLP set out to amalgamate and mutate musical genres without adhering to any particular one of them. This strategy is employed in order to lend an element of surprise to every release. The music should speak for itself. Davis and Zane insist on this concept to the extent that every release (and every track on every release) will be represented by progressive Roman numerals as titles. Visually, 33blackLP will engage in “aesthetic open dialogues”—as abstract imagery can complement music without imposing concepts upon it in the way that song titles can. 33blackLP draw influence from every area of life—without implying suggestions or answers. These influences are myriad. These influences are stylistically-blended into a refined hedonism (sometimes even sadomasochistic in its expression) that is the very essence that is the project. |

Search | Add | 4 | Kedash | Kedash Carmel Cornileus | Daughter of [a304886]. Birth Date: May16,1981 Hometown: Hollywood,FLA Height: 5ft.4in. Kedash is stepping out of the recording studio and into the real world of music entertainment with her debut album Real Life Situations. The Re-Release of her new album is in stores now and her single, Love Can be Funny Sometimes will be on the store shelves in July of 2001. She is presently working on the video for the single and it should be airing on mainstream music video channels in September of 2001. Kedash started singing at the age of 7 and her father recognized at that time that she had a talent for singing. He then started taking her to his studio to watch him record and arrange his music. When Kedash was 12 she recorded her first background vocals. She said she was so afraid at the time thinking that she would mess up and waist those people's studio time. However, she reports that everything went great and that she even got paid a little money for her work. A lot of studios started calling her after that to do background vocals for various artists. She says that it was a great feeling and that at that time she felt that she could be successful as a singer. Kedash's father Carter Cornileus gained musical fame in his own right with the group The Cornileus Brothers and Sister Rose. Some of their more successful songs include Treat Her Like a Lady and Too Late to Turn Back Now which went to number 3 and number 2 respectively on the billboard charts. Kedash also started working with various family members in the music business such as her uncle Frank and his son Frank Cornileus jr. separately and on various projects. Those projects taught Kedash even more about the music business and what was involved putting an album together. During these tender years her own unique style was forming. Kedash reports that she would listen to and study various artists such as Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu and Whitney Houston. People would tell her that she sounded like various artists throughout the years. Then at about the age of sixteen her very own unique vocal style had emerged. Kedash was an artist with Big Ballers Entertainment for a short time. During this time Kedash recorded various songs on their compilations and soundtrack. The relationship with Big Ballers did not work out and she decided to go her own separate way. She has appeared on other works such as Kinsu's Consensual Sex, F.C.J.'s Southside and M?T's self titled album. Meanwhile Kedash is lining up tour dates and other local appearances around the country. So be on the lookout for this very talented artist as she makes her mark on the music world. |
