Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Koplant No | Koplant No is a forward-thinking, cinematic electro-jazz ensemble that fuses intricate compositions and jazz improvisation with electronica, progressive rock, and hip-hop. Called "one of the most innovative ensembles in the Midwest" by Minnesota Public Radio's David Cazares, they are the recipients of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and have performed at venues across the country in New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, Washington D.C., St. Louis, and at the 2015 World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, France. Their potent music has the rare ability to satiate the most discriminating jazz aficionados, while completely disarming the anti-jazz crowd, and has been described as “a textural feast for the mind’s eye." Koplant No is: Joel Vanderheyden (tenor saxophone), Brian Lewis Smith (trumpet, laptop, keys), Drew Morton (bass, synth), and Rob Baner (drums, loops, vibes).

Search | Add | 2 | Fishtake | Cardiff's Fishtake were formed in 1998, the name apparently having been chosen “from the ether”. After numerous line up changes and reshuffles, the band settled on the line-up of: Jim Williams - Vocals/Guitar, Paul Copner - Guitar, Charles Curran - Bass, Will Rees - Drums. In 2002 Fishtake recorded their debut EP, Private Foul and Surface Water, which was released on the band’s own 23:59 label. About a year later the band went into the studio again to record their first full-length, Propeller, after which Paul Copner left and was replaced with Pete Leakey. Fishtake became The Take (to avoid being called Fishcake, Fishtank and other 'hilarious' names that people billed them as).

Search | Add | 2 | Jakob Aljaž | Jakob Aljaž (born 7 June 1845, died 5 April 1927 ) was a Slovene Roman Catholic priest, composer and mountaineer. Aljaž was born in a small Upper Carniolan village of Zavrh pod Šmarno Goro, northeast of Ljubljana, in what was then the Austrian Empire. He was a priest and also a successful composer, singer and choir master. His works are still very popular among Slovenes. He became known by having mountain huts built throughout the Julian Alps, which fostered the development of mountaineering in the Slovene Lands. By far his most well known construction is the Aljaž Tower, built on the summit of Mount Triglav, the highest mountain of the Julian Alps and of Slovenia. He also arranged several hiking paths to be laid out, enabling more visitors to come to the mountains.

Search | Add | 2 | Seanie Jackson | Seanie Jackson is a young Irish bad lad who is in his prime at only 26 years of age. He is making waves as a fresh face in Hard House circuits with his mixes and productions such as Rok Da Discotek (which reached the top spot in the Toolbox Top 100 Chart and had a glowing review in Mixmag), his exclusive bootleg of Ian M’s - Temptress (that has been tearing up dance floors nationwide by DJ’s alike), and his mighty remix of Trauma – Wanna Ride (released within the Paul King Remix bundles on the infamous Vicious Circle label), also with releases featuring on Encoded, Hammerheads and We Love Hard House all confirmed for throughout this year. After the short space of only 4 years, he has catapulted his career into featuring regularly for London’s leading Hard House night Twist. He was a firm favourite in their Twist Test Lab which prides itself on showcasing new and fresh talent, giving them a chance to win a slot in the main room, which he succeeded to do and earned his main room debut Nov 2018. He has also featured at events around the country such as Fuzed & Shine, and with 3 residencies under his belt for local underground nights in the Leeds area (Jump, Hard House Hotel & K-Zone), he has now started venturing further afield, featuring on line ups for some of the scene’s heavyweights’ such as Frantic & Twist. 2019 saw Seanie feature on the Hard House Sunday Sessions show on Flex FM multiple times, and play an honourable b2b with his fellow K-Zone resident & partner in crime Adam Butler for the last ever Shine, and concentrated on lots of studio time, further strengthening his collection of hits, including a huge remix of a major classic with Aaron James, who he is also collaborating with alongside Paul King again, this time featuring on Paul’s new album. 2020 has seen Seanie secure himself a booking with Unity In The Sun over in Kavos, Greece, whilst also being a very busy lad in the studio with 7 new tracks under his belt by April, with more bound to follow, make sure you keep an ear out for them and hopefully he'll see you on a dance floor soon

In 2014, when he was in his 50s, he suddenly started playing in the blues scene. With strong finger-picking reminiscent of Mississippi John Hurt, and the warm vocals, he came to be the center of the attention. In 2018, he released his debut album “Down Home” on King Records of Japan with Yuji Hamaguchi (guitar) as a supporting member. And in 2021, second album “F no Gospel (Gospel in F)” was released by Sidecar Monkey Records with Atsushi Sano and Yoshiki Sakurai as supporting musicians. (Sano also produced the album) Sugawara’s focus on unearthing old-time blues, gospel and folk music adding unique touch to illustrate his own world of music has been highly praised by fans, musicians and alike. |
