Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Aaron Thumpa Thompson | About Aaron "Thumpa" Thomspon / MystikCal Productions Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Aaron “Thumpa” Bassie is a reggae musician, recording artist, and producer who has worked with countless artists, including but not limited to: Anthony B, Perfect Giddimani, Lutan Fyah, Norris Man, Yami Bolo, and grammy nominated reggae harmony group The Itals. His first reggae album was “Rasta Business” by Burning Spear and it forever changed his life and musical direction. Following after was a vast collection by the likes of Roots Radics, Steel Pulse, and even some earlier classics from Duke Reid and Studio One. In 2014, Aaron started Roots Shack Productions to book shows for International favorite General Smiley (of Michigan and Smiley). This would jumpstart his ambition for promoting and recording artists from around the globe. In 2018, Aaron would team up with James Lord of Irie Sounds International from Jamaica to record various tracks on Mikey General’s release, “Tewahedo” (Zojak). It was then that Aaron founded MystikCal Productions, to expand on his already growing vocabulary in the mainstream reggae market. Fast forward to 2020, under the MystikCal Production banner, Aaron will be releasing his first debut single titled “Murder She Cried” by Jamaican reggae sensation GinJah (Ginger) available on all digital media outlets. The expected release date will be April 20, 2020. Stay in the loop and keep in touch by subscribing and following below. Peace and Love! facebook.com/mystikcalproductions IG @ justapassingglance | |

As a former dancer, Mel Gimard translates the movements from Flamenco dances into music. In her compositions, we find influences from both traditional and contemporary Flamenco. El Chozas de Jerez, Manolo Caracol, Moraito, Bebo Valdes, Ibrahim Maalouf and Tigran Hamasyan. Performed with an exquisite line up of the new Spanish and Cuban generation of musicians in the field of Flamenco and Jazz, the music of Mel Gimard is stunning. References to her roots with a fearless approach by the piano prodigy and her knowledge for folklore and classics, results in a beautiful oeuvre by one of the most exciting pianists of her generation. A must for any Flamenco lover! | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Booginz | The Booginz are a four-piece rock group based in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Very rarely do four musicians come together and blend as well as The Booginz do. Their instruments and voices all come together to create a sound that some people compare to Mr. Bungle, but is still very unique and very original. Their music bounces back-and-forth between heavy and melodic while the lyrics come in very smooth and harmonious. With George having the duty of lead vocals, he pounds out a smooth voice that mixes perfectly with the music and avoids any loud screaming or rapping, no matter how heavy the music is. Bass player Ben also helps out by doing a lot of vocals, giving the lyrics two different sounds throughout the set and still blending. Then when David, the guitar player, decides to sing with them, the three voices come together in perfect harmony to create an amazing site to see and make O-Town look like those barking dogs that sing Christmas carols. Not missing a beat the whole set is Sean on drums, pounding out sounds to support the guitar and bass. Ben is probably one of the better bass players I've ever seen and Sean isn't too shabby on guitar either. All together the three of them create a very unique sound with their instruments, without one sticking out and stealing the show, blending together perfectly. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Ann Duggan | Ann and her musicians have travelled the length and breadth of both the UK and America pedalling the songs that have meant so much to so many people. Songs that have taken audiences on a roller coaster of emotions where the hardest men have been moved to tears whilst at the same time been lifted into a state of euphoria. These are not the songs for the faint hearted, they make you think and carry you on a journey. Each self-penned song is different from the other and makes you feel that sometime, somewhere you've heard it before. Ann has been described as a torch singer, somewhere between Stevie Nicks and Bette Midler. Her trusted guitarist has been likened to Richard Thompson, Johnny Marr and Eddy Shaver. As a duo they are a powerhouse to be reckoned with garnering the highest respect from the musicians that join them on different projects and performances along the way. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Descending Pharaohs | Their work is inspired by the ongoing struggle for Palestinian human rights against Israel’s brutal occupation of Palestine since 1948. Mirrored by the mixed-media/collage work donning the album covers, the music of Descending Pharaohs animates dreams of triumph against power structures to even out the colonial ledgers of the oppressed. Lyrical without voice, the music weaves fantastical characters, history corrections, and mystical scapes as an attempt to define a new heaviness to sounds that are east of somewhere. It is music defined and driven by Sumud and the reverie to return stolen worlds back to their indigenous key holders.Drawing from the genres of Krautrock, 70s Arabic/Anatolian, post-punk, and spiritual jazz, Descending Pharaohs are a predominantly instrumental trio from Portland, Oregon. Although founded by Palestinian-American Bassist/oudist Theo Khoury (brother of violinist Michael Khoury) in 2019, the band took productive shape as a trio in 2021 with guitarist Ricardo Esway and drummer Larold Will (since replaced with Andreas Levi). With a predominantly instrumental string-driven sound, the band casts an Eastern gaze on creating multi-movement soundscapes. Descending Pharaohs weave improvisation with structure to realize pieces colored by ancient hymn and abstract Arab futurism. As their first release, Ritual of Light marks the band’s 2022 sound. Whether from the visions of a shimmery fever dream or a back-alley fight scene, a common response to their music is to experience something “visually intense”. There are story arcs, characters, dialogues, and complicating actions that bring imagery to mind that would please an audience of Frank Herbert, Mahmood Darwish, and Aldous Huxley. Looking towards the future, the trio has built in more saz, oud, chimes, baritone guitar, and electronics into their unique sound. Contact: descendingpharaohsband@gmail.com | |
| Search | Add | 2 | Quadruple A | Quadruple A is the musical vehicle for the Pinto–Louridas songwriting partnership. That's Aaron Pinto and Matthew Louridas, who also perform every sound you hear on any given Quadruple A release. Melody is king for the Philadelphia-based duo, who officially introduced their homespun brand of artful pop rock to the world in 2023. "Well, I think it's so nice that you finally joined us," sings Louridas on Quadruple A's debut single, "Easy Rolling", hinting to a world in which Quadruple A has always been playing over your speakers. With their songs' instant familiarity, that might as well be true. Sometimes the lead vocal will be done by Louridas; sometimes it will be done by Pinto; sometimes it will be shared by both of them, in harmony. But it will always be a compelling one, with bodacious instrumentation underneath. They are the hitmakers. They have always been the hitmakers. They are Quadruple A. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Ricky Mantoan | Riccardo Mantoan | Ricky Mantoan (La Mure, 1945/12/4) and Branco Selvaggio Band The band was founded in 1978 by Ricky Mantoan who since the early sixties performed in public. Ricky’s first inspiration was the american guitarist Duane Eddy, which became famous for having introduced the electric guitar as lead instrument in Rock’n’Roll, around 1958. Between 1965 and 1970, after various experiences with the sound of some artists like Cream, Stones, and Jimi Hendrix of course, Ricky discovered and was deeply impressed by Californian Country-Rock and in the same time by English Folk Rock….The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Bros, Grateful Dead, Fairport Convention, but especially the country singer Gram Parsons affected the evolution of his own musical taste. In 1978 he put together a bunch of country dreamers and the name of the band was ”Branco Selvaggio” (which is the italian translation of “Wild Bunch”). At the time he started to write this own compositions that became part of his first solo album “Ricky“, published in 1980 . This work was well received by music critics both italians and foreigners . A song from the album, “Down in Memphis”, successfully entered the charts of a famous British trade magazine: Omaha Rainbow. Then started the left-handed guitarist’s collaboration with some legendary Californian artists: Ricky got in touch with and formed a strong friendship with bassist Skip Battin, formerly of the Byrds, New Riders of the Purple Sage and Flying Burrito Bros. Between 1982 and 1994 he played on tour with Skip Battin, Chris Darrow, Greg Harris, Sneaky Pete Kleinow, Gene Parsons, John York, Roger McGuinn, revealing himself as an excellent guitarist and a true magic picker on Pedal Steel Guitar. These events were recorded and two recordings published: LIVE IN ITALY and FAMILY TREE. The Family Tree album was recorded at the end of a tour in 1988 by the former Byrds Skip Battin and John York; Ricky was on pedal steel guitar and on electric string bender Telecaster guitar and also on vocals. Another guy from Branco Selvaggio was Beppe D’Angelo on drums; he gave to the band an hard drive and both Skip and John were impressed by hits talent. At the same time Ricky worked in studio sessions with some Italian musicians , also taking part in several television and radio broadcasts .In the nineties Branco Selvaggio was appreciated throughout Italy with concerts which are still defined as “memorable”. The shows of the band were a long playlist settling the sounds and sensations of a true Cosmic Country with a touch of psychedelic era. In 1991 the “DICTIONARY OF ITALIAN SONG” by Renzo Arbore, published by Curcio Editore, made a board dedicated to Ricky qualifying him among the most creative Italian musicians. In 1992 the first album by Branco Selvaggio was made, ”Riders of the Universe”, with songs written by Ricky and some covers of Byrds and Bob Dylan. In 1994 he was asked to join the Byrds to participate in an international tour and this event was taken from a live concert in Geneva a number of broadcasters and of which there is an album on cd and a video titled “LIVE IN GENEVA”. From 2006 Branco Selvaggio turned his attention particularly to the quality of musical sound and also to the the choral parts, insisting on genuine roots of country electric and acoustic. At present the renewed organic group includes Dario Zara on bass and vocals, Luciano Costa on acoustic and electric guitars, vocals and slide guitar, Beppe D’Angelo on drums and vocals, Ricky Mantoan of course is on pedal steel, electric and acoustic guitars, dobro, mandolin, harmonica and vocals.
