Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Vizay | Peter Lamperud | Vizay is a progressive producer and dj from Stockholm, Sweden. Already at an early age he found a love for melodic and uplifting trance which led to his first release already back in 2007. Since then he's gradually evolved into a more melancholic and progressive sound. Moving freely within multiple genres it's often more about the journey and emotions within the music, rather than sticking to one single genre, It's simply progressive. |

Search | Add | 2 | Bud Willow | Mike Rebhahn | Country musician from Wisconsin and leader of the band Hillbilly Fever. From Promo Literature: Meet Bud Willow Singer-Songwriter Promising country artist Bud Willow just wanted to bloom where he was planted. His fans, however, had a much bigger garden in ind and finally convinced the Wisconsin native to Nashville a try. The result of all this encouragement and cultivation is his debut album, "Friday Never End." Produced by Nashville veteran Jack Solomon and engineered by Grammy Award-winner Tom Pick, the album features six Willow originals and two other cuts, "A Reason For the Rain" written by Willow's hero, Larry Boone, and "White Lightnin'" written by he late J. P. (Big Bopper) Richardson. Willow's album was recorded on Thunder Ridge Records, Nashville, Tennessee. "Every song he writes has heart," Willow says of Boone. "He also puts so much feeling into a song when he sings it. He's my absolute hero." But heart is not lost on any of Willow's songs. With his own heart on his shirtsleeve, the composer-crooner takes his music through the emotional gamut from heartbreak to joy, from laughter to tears and everywhere in between. "A lot of my songs come from real-life experiences," he says. "I feel if you don't live it you can't write about it." Born into a Wisconsin farm family, Willow worked a number of years as a big-rig jockey and wrote his first song in a warehouse in Eau Claire. His early inspirations include such country music legends as George Jones, Waylon Jennings and Mel Street. He has opened for several artists including Jack Greene, Sheb Wooley, John Conlee and Tom Wopat. Willow also has garnered a number of accolades including the first-place slot in the WAXX-sponsored band competition during the Jim Falls Sturgeon Festival and second-place in the GMC-True Value Show Band contest featuring 52 entries. "Everybody up home wanted me to do this," Willow said of his Nashville studio sessions. "I didn't think I had any business recording in Nashville. I just enjoy playing music. As long as people like what I do and they feel I'm good enough to entertain I'll keep on. If there comes a time they don't want to hear it I'll just go away quietly." |

Search | Add | 2 | Die 7 Montenegros | The band was active from 1966-69 in West Germany. Band leader Svetozar Purko Aleksić, originally from Montenegro (Yugoslavia), having left his previous quintet "Die Monte Negros", teamed up with a young band "Ritam" from Novi Sad (Yugoslavia), who had been touring West Germany since 1965, and in summer 1966 they formed together "Die 7 Montenegros". This was their official name although on the record covers they were credited as "Purko und seine Montenegros" or "Das jugoslawische Tanz- und Show-Orchester Montenegro". This band should not be confused with Purko's earlier quintet "Die Monte Negro's", which later transformed into a better known "The Montenegro Five". "Die 7 Montenegros" recorded two albums in Germany and toured extensively in Sweden, Germany and Soviet Union. They disbanded in 1969.

Search | Add | 2 | Sonya Lorelle | Sonya Lorelle began college as a music major in her home state of Missouri, but soon realized that the classical music training that was core to the degree program did not match her interest in songwriting and blues singing. She graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelors degree in psychology (and a minor in music) and went on to complete an MS in Community Agency Counseling as well. During this time, she also recorded her first album, Independent Woman (2002). After taking some time to travel, perform, and compete in a variety of songwriting contests, she enrolled in the doctoral program at Old Dominion University, where she earned her PhD in Counselor Education. She is currently on the faculty at Northwestern University and performs her music in the Chicago area.

Search | Add | 2 | {intake}ca | {intake}ca: \ˈin-ˌtāk\ca – (band) {intake}ca was the result of six musical journeymen’s relentless pursuit to craft something more than a song. Frustrated with the jaded market of Southern California’s inundated musical landscape, Robb Sackett [vocals], Michael Head [guitar], Scott Ramsay [guitar], Joseph Estrada [drums], Jason Smolchuck [bass] and Brian “Ez” Balderas [samples] had all worked in various projects that resulted in little movement. Frontman Robb Sackett explained the inevitable collaboration, “Our current lineup consists of the best musicians we could steal. These bands had such awesome, talented people in their ranks and just sat on it.” Fusing an incendiary combination of aggressive metal and progressive electronica, {intake}ca has collectively managed to break through the glass ceiling of creative limitation. Since its inception, the all too familiar tribulations that come with balancing life and artistic expression have forced the band’s hand, leading to necessary line-up changes, writer’s block, and an eventual revitalization. Having shared the stage with the likes of Snot, Static-X, (hed)p.e., Ill Nino, Human Waste Project, Body Count, and In This Moment, to name a few, {intake}ca’s ambitious take on traditional drop tuning and guttural vocals has earned the band a healthy reputation among some of the industry’s most respected contributors. With a stage show that explodes with primal energy and reckless abandon, the six create anthems of dark celebration that explore the more lascivious corners of humanity. Complete with a solidified roster of musicians all firing on the same creative cylinders, {intake}ca has completed their independently released EP "Fatal Exception 06". “More than anything else this record needed to be a perfect translation of what we do onstage, put onto a record,” Sackett explains. A lush mixture, {intake}ca manages to transition from the eerie musical simplicity of an appropriate sample, to an all out assault of strings, percussion, and visceral throat that unapologetically, “calls it, like they see it.” Please visit www.sonicbids.com/INTAKEcaEPK for our Official electronic press kit.

Search | Add | 2 | Dave Dri | David Ryan | An Australian producer and musician that founded the live electronic music act Segue, and previously a member of the live breaks act Superfluid at the time of the band's debut and subsequent tours. The experience was educational and indicative of the era, with Superfluid signing to the Creative Vibes label at the peak of the label's powers, ensuring a steady stream of radio play and high demand for both club and rave shows. The latter pulling the band further from the plunderphonic sounds of the initial album, a product of a small and collaborative community of sample-heavy producers including The Avalanches and label mates PNAU and Gotye. Superfluid would ultimately move into the harder Breaks and Nuskool Breaks sounds, switching Ryan on to the opportunity to branch out and pursue the more Acid House era sounds of an 80's child, the common influences of childhood Kraftwerk to teenage Chemical Brothers. Outside of Segue's experiences as a live electronic act, David Ryan was a guest keyboard and touring member of the bands D-KO, Silent Shadow, and Statler & Waldorf, as well as occasional solo tours, such as an unexpected invitation to perform at Exit Fest in Serbia in 2004. An unmissable opportunity that arose as a result of sampling Slavic folk songs in one of Superfluid's releases on the Creative Vibes label. The experience in the region not so long after the Balkan wars, immersed into communities connected to his Australian friends who had left as refugees from the conflict, proved immensely moving, and resulted in a highly creative period upon return. Off the stage, Ryan studied sound design and synthesis, and increasingly focused on the technology side of the industry, joining open source company Red Hat, before spinning out a publishing technology project as a tech founder and settling into San Francisco. Now back in Australia after the pandemic reset, Ryan has established a fund to begin collecting and archiving the stories and gear from Australia's early electronic music community, and is supportive of the next generation of makers and culture creators coming through Australia's creative community. |

Search | Add | 2 | Rule 22 | Rule 22 is a punk trio from Chicago, around since 2001. Their sound is parallel to the melodic 90's punk, full of speed and diversity. They've done multiple tours coast to coast in the U.S. and Canada. Released four full length albums, two splits and two E.P's). The band has played over 400 shows, and supported tour dates for Rancid, The Lawrence Arms, Cobra Skulls, The Flatliners, MxPx, Swingin Utters, A Wilhelm Scream, The Germs and countless others. "an aggressive blend of hardcore, punk, and ska was like a breath of fresh air. The best way to describe their sound would be as a combination of Strike Anywhere, the Suicide Machines, No Trigger and Chicago rockers Love and Squalor. Everything about this band seemed to work together in punk rock harmony. While there were only three of them on stage, they had the intensity of eight. As their set went on, I found myself just being more and more overwhelmed by this group. Their playing had the tightness of a band that has been writing music together for many years. I could not believe that these guys are not signed because they have ten times the talent and passion of many punk bands I've heard in recent times." -punknews.org

Search | Add | 2 | Tòfol Martínez | Born in Sabadell, in 1979, in a family with no direct links to music. At the age of seven, a piano enters his house, with which he plays and learns to play. He started studying classical guitar at nine, discovered the blues from Stevie Ray Vaughan, and began a period of obsessive study around the idea of living from music. At the age of fifteen he began teaching at Creu Alta de Sabadell, the same school where he studied classical music, while delving into the mastery of the guitar, which he combines with other studies: arrangements for big band, combo, sound technician ... and business management in the music industry. In 1998, at the age of nineteen, he undertook studies of modern music and jazz at the Aula de Jazz de Barcelona, as well as at the Music Workshop in the same city; also with private teachers such as: Tato Latorre, Jordi Bonell, and Adam Levy (Norah Jones). In 2003 he joined the Antonio Orozco team as guitarist and chorus girl, and toured with him on the album “Devuélveme la vida”. The previous year he had already established his own recording studio - nowadays “TMStudio” -, with which he produces albums like “When dreams are wrong” (2005) by Rojas. In 2011 he released his first blues album "Hallelujah", with which he was reunited with his sweet moment with music after a small crisis with the commercial world. Next will come "1979" (2014) and "No Panic!" (2017). Since 2006 he lives in Tossa de Mar (Costa Brava).
