Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Reverend G. W. Delatte | George Warren DeLatte | George DeLatte attended a revival meeting in Louisiana of a dynamic, great "old-time" evangelist, Rev. Gayle Jackson, when he was 23 years of age. His life changed from that time! He became a born again Christian that night and soon received the call to the ministry! His heart became hungry for the Word of God. He began studying by reading children Bible story books. They were full of the Old Testament stories of the great prophets and the law, and of people of Bible times and of our forgiving God and of the judgment of God. He learned of the grace of God as he studied the New Testament stories and the life of Jesus, about Peter and the disciples, and the Apostle Paul. As he continued reading and studying many Bible verses stayed in his memory... Soon he answered the call God had upon him and he became an ordained minister. When he preached the words would flow from him... The Bible became alive to the people who attended the revival meetings, as he preached and used the examples of Biblical heroes such as Daniel, who remained true to God even when thrown in the lions den and one could visualize Shadrack, Meshek and Abednego, as they were in the fiery furnace...When he was preaching and spoke of "the man in the long white robe" it made chills come over one... Rev. DeLatte was a great soul winner for Christ as he preached across America and journeyed to many foreign countries, including Haiti and India, always preaching the message of salvation. He believed in forgiveness and redemption, and he believed in heaven and hell ...When he gave an alter call one could have heard a pin drop it was so silent in the congregation as he prayed and ministered to them... The Holy Spirit touched people's hearts with conviction, and thousands of people came forward through the years to pray, to renew their commitments, to ask the Lord for forgiveness of their sins, and to accept Jesus in their hearts. Rev. DeLatte loved to pray for people! There would be long lines of people and families patiently waiting to share their prayer requests with Rev. DeLatte. He would stand for hours until he had personally prayed for each person who wanted prayer, needed encouragement, or to be ministered to. He was anointed and he believed in the full gospel, in the gifts of the spirit, and when he ministered in a revival service to people often it was through the word of knowledge, or word of wisdom or word of faith. Born- January 6, 1927 Louisiana, USA Died- February 2, 2006 (aged 79) Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, USA |

Search | Add | 2 | Ojee | Los Angeles based indie-dub duo of Eric Green and Brian Campbell. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Brian Campbell and Eric Green (the duo who are Ojee) eventually found themselves down in Los Angeles. Here they further developed their sound, but the feeling of the wilderness remained. Finally there came "Ojee Walk Upright", the recently recorded debut album. The sound of Ojee can most accurately be described as indie dub-rock. Their songs combine reggae rhythms and basslines with folky vocal harmonies, weaving through a steady rock beat. Existence, self-reflection, and human nature are the focus of the lyrics. Three of their biggest influences throughout the years have been Lee "Scratch" Perry, Donovan, and Beck.

He possesses an unparalled understanding of what a crowd wants. While he enjoyed playing shows with his bands Top Ranking and Swinging Relatives, he turned to writing original music early on. In 1992, he went to Kingston, Jamaica, to record with Chaka Demus and the producer Cornell Marshall from “Third World”. Brent thoroughly enjoyed his stay in Jamaica working at the famous Mixing Lab and meeting experienced musicians. After many live performances and opening for international acts from Toots and the Maytals to Maxi Priest and Buju Banton, Brent focused again on creating original music. Since 2011, he has been writing, recording and producing under the pseudonym HiFi Champion. He is ready to embark on a new journey and to experiment with raw dub sounds. |

Search | Add | 2 | Brian Odlum | Brian Odlum is an American electronic music composer currently residing in Spain. Brian studied violoncello at Lewis & Clark College. He graduated in 1971 in performance, and shortly after successfully auditioned for a chair in the Oregon Symphony. For the next decade Brian earned his living playing in the orchestra and teaching cello students. During that time he learned to play pedal-steel guitar, constructed one of the world's first solid-body electric cellos, and returned to the university to earn a degree in computer science. Many years would pass before technology (both software and hardware) would be capable of what Brian envisioned accomplishing. Eventually it did catch up with his imagination, and he began his career as a composer. Only a handful of Brian's works are intended to be realizable by performing musicians. The majority are conceived as playable only by the computer.

Search | Add | 2 | The Painted Hearts | Australian band, formed in 2005, originally based in Canberra, ACT, relocated to Melbourne. The Painted Hearts were formed in Canberra, Australia in 2005. P.R.Davis sang, played guitar and wrote the songs, Matt Nightingale (later of The Wedded Bliss, Heath Cullen band) played electric upright bass and Kevin Nicol (Noiseworks) played drums. Owen Andrews was recruited to play bass following Nightingale's departure from the band in March 2007. By 2011 Nightingale had re-joined and drums were played by Mike Oakley. Rick Millband took over the drum chair in 2012. The Melbourne based lineup consists of Davis, John Milton (drums), Zoe Frater (bass) and Matt Dixon (guitar). Essentially a live band, improvisational and loose, the self-titled debut album The Painted Hearts was recorded somewhat characteristically in one - whatever goes down goes down - session at Infidel Studios, Queanbeyan in September, 2007 and released in 2008. The second album Volume 2 released in 2011, was recorded in pretty much the same spirit albeit with more of an acoustic sound and sensibility, again relatively quickly over two sessions - this time at Canberra's Cowperson Lounge, through just two microphones. Matt Nightingale rejoined the band on double bass for the Volume 2 sessions and Mike Oakley played drums. The third album, Volume 3, was tracked live once again at Cowperson Lounge in 2014 with basically the same approach, though with the use of a few more mics than the two used on the Volume 2 sessions. Davis and Nightingale are joined by Rick Millband on drums for these sessions.

Search | Add | 2 | Little Joe Roman | William Joel "Taz" DiGregorio | William Joel "Taz" DiGregorio (January 8, 1944 – October 12, 2011) was a longtime member and keyboardist for the Charlie Daniels Band. He was born and lived in Southbridge, Massachusetts until 1962 when he went on the road. He was self-taught on the keyboards, practicing from tunes by Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, and Little Richard following his attendance at a Ray Charles concert. He fulfilled his goal of becoming a professional musician, initiating his career with his first band, the group Paul Chaplain and his Emeralds, best known for their minor hit "Shortnin' Bread" (1960). They sold about 250,000 copies of their album in 1959. He was on the album at the age of seventeen and he didn't know a lot about life and music, but he knew 8 chords and he recorded the song, Shortnin' Bread, and it became a hit. By the early 1960s, the group disbanded, leaving DiGregorio to find other gigs which included playing in a lounge band in Florida under the name of Little Joe and the Romans with Bill B. on guitar, Bobby J. on drums, and Ben on bass. They also played at Benny's Rebel Room in Washington, DC and various lounges and clubs in Lexington, Kentucky, Dayton, Ohio and Syracuse, New York. In Lexington, Charlie sat in at the Southland Bowl lounge and, even then was well liked by the audience. |
