Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 11 | Scuba Death | Ricardo Donoso | Ricardo Donoso is a composer, percussionist and electronic musician from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil who currently resides in Boston. After having studied composition at Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory he has participated in a slew of projects over the years, most notably playing drums for avant-death metal unit Ehnahre and being one half of the ever morphing experimental electronic duo Perispirit. Ricardo's musical vocabulary draws as much from contemporary composition, drone, to techno and noise. Whether on his multifaceted albums or in live performance Donoso's main interest lies in building and manipulating an immersive sound world that blurs the line between light & dark, hope & despair and the past & future – creating a truly timeless & transcendent experience. He has released music on esteemed labels such as Digitalis, Further Records and Hospital Productions and has toured throughout North America, Europe & Asia. His first three albums – Progress Chance (2011), Assimilating The Shadow (2012) and As Iron Sharpens Iron, One Verse Sharpens Another (2013) – were widely celebrated by specialized vehicles such as FACT, Clash and Resident Advisor. His music has been described as a sort of "anti-techno" where polyrhythmic structures and meticulous textures blur any semblance of a bar line, instead collapsing in on itself for moments of striking isolation. His moniker Scuba Death refers to his experience of nearly drowning in the Atlantic ocean when he was young. It's based on themes of fear and death-anxiety and the music he makes under the name is a more somber, with a focus on analogue sound, percussion, sampling and location recordings. |

Search | Add | 11 | WastedSky | Состав: [a=Владимир Рысин] (2006-2023) [a=Иван Гришкин] (с 2006) [a=Валерий (Лерыч) Руденок] (с 2006) [a=Григорий Минаков] (с 2006) [a=Алексей Курячев] (с 2015) [a=Юрий Белков] (с 2016) Группа WastedSky начала формироваться весной 2006 года в городе Павловский Посад (Московская область).

The project is notable for having developed bomzh-grind ("hobo grindcore") term, which can be generally characterized as an acoustic form of noisecore, either with or without occasional instrumentation, and involving poor recording quality (cellphone AMR recorder quality as an instance). Search | Add | 11 | Melting Clouds | Melting Clouds are trying not to limit themselves to any particular genre or style while constantly transforming. The reason is that the music they play goes beyond the threshold of 'just music', it has its own visual characters and philosophy which are entangled with other areas of art blurring the lines and united under the flag of Melting Clouds. As a result, one of the main goals is consolidation and synthesis of both musical palettes and various forms of art in order to create new vision of the process of creation. Also, one of the goals is to cooperate with people who have fresh ideas and the willingness to cooperate.

Search | Add | 11 | Jackson Beck | Born: July 23, 1912, New York City, New York, USA Died: July 28, 2004, New York City, New York, USA An American actor best known as the announcer on radio's The Adventures of Superman and the voice of Bluto in the Famous era Popeye theatrical shorts. Beck had a career in radio, television, and animation dating from 1931 with Myrt and Marge, among other roles. In 1934, he was the announcer for The Adventures of Babe Ruth on the radio. In 1943, he took over as narrator of radio's The Adventures of Superman; it was Beck who intoned the familiar prologue "strange visitor from another planet..." Decades later, he portrayed Perry White, Clark Kent's boss in Filmation's The New Adventures of Superman animated series and was narrator as well. He also impersonated Joseph Stalin and other world leaders for the March of Time radio series, starred as The Cisco Kid on radio from 1942 to 1945 and sleuth Philo Vance in a syndicated series from 1948 to 1950, and served as narrator for the radio adventures of Tom Corbett, Space Cadet. In 1969, Beck used his deep, dramatic, modulated voice as the narrator of Woody Allen's Take the Money and Run. Three years earlier, he dubbed the English voice of the judge listing Tuco's many crimes before sentencing him to death by hanging in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Beck was one of the players in National Lampoon's first comedy album Radio Dinner in 1972. He was prominent as well in Allen's 1987 film Radio Days, dubbing the voice of the on-the-spot newsman. Beck also co-starred in several episodes of the CBS Radio Mystery Theater (CBSRMT).

He has composed music for Robert Turło's film "Wall", which was nominated for the Golden Palm at Cannes. In between recordings and concerts, he makes quite a career… in marketing. A guy with a strong character and lots of energy. Likes to have the last word. He thinks quickly (always rationally!) and makes decisions even faster. Everything he engages in turns into gold. Search | Add | 11 | Paul Weingardt | Paul H. Weingardt was a native Colorado accordionist born of Volga-German immigrant parents in Sterling on September 24, 1915. Both of his parents were born in the area along the Volga river where Russian Empress Catherine the Great had invited Germans to immigrate in the mid-late 18th century. A century later many of them came to America, settling in (among other places) northeastern Colorado and the adjacent western Nebraska panhandle, and working in the sugar beet industry. Paul’s parents, the Weingardt and the Appelhans families, came to Sterling, while his future wife’s family, the Klugs, stopped in Julesburg, 50 miles up the recently completed Union Pacific Railroad line near the Nebraska border. Many of the musicians who played with Paul were also from Volga-German immigrant families, by the name of Schneider, Deines, Sewald and Walters. During the 1940s and 50s, Paul joined his brothers Frank and Alex, performing as the “Alpine Boys” or the “Alpine Dutch Hop Boys,” along with hammered dulcimer (tsimbal) players Palmer Deines or Henry Schneider, reedman Jake Walters and horn man V. A. Hartman. Later, Paul was joined by his nephews, Leroy Weingardt and Paul E. Weingardt, both of whom taught music with him at the “Alpine School of Accordion Champions.” Henry Schneider’s younger brother Alex also performed with the Weingardts, and Henry and Alex performed together as the “Schneider Brothers.” In 1948, the Cooper Music and Appliance Center of Fort Collins advertised five 78 rpm records as new releases by the Weingardt Brothers and Palmer Deines, a hammered dulcimer player. The label was “C.R.S.” with the discs numbered 102 through 106. These recordings appear to have been reissued in the early 1950s on Frontier, a Denver label that issued additional releases by Weingardt, as well as by other musicians. Paul also issued material on his own “Alpine” label. Tragically, Paul and Anna Weingardt, along with Henry and Frieda Schneider, died in a car crash in Wyoming, returning to Denver from a performance at the Scottsbluff/Gering VFW Hall in Nebraska. Paul and Anna’s eleven-year-old son, Kenneth, was injured but survived. Paul was aged 49 and Anna 47.

Search | Add | 11 | Guido Durante | Guido Durante | Guido Durante was born in Italy, near Venice, in 1982. Always passionate about music, he developed a strong interest for electronic sounds thanks to the productions of the mid-nineties he discovered listening to radio stations and through the mixtapes of the most popular clubs in the area, borrowed from older friends. In the same years he started to take piano lessons and practising with decks and records and it was only a matter of time before he discovered some basic audio software, so the natural next step was learning how to produce his own records. After a lot of home experiments, it was in 2006 that he began to work properly in a professional structure, starting to release a flow of productions and remixes, including until now remixes and tracks for labels such Ocean Dark, Reisei, Tanzbar Digital, Progrezo, Soulman, Kina, and his own Keep On Records and Klever Records. At the moment is one of the resident of Soul Club in Conegliano(TV) playing regularly his house selection, and sharing the decks with likeminded artists. |

Search | Add | 11 | Artisan P | Phil Andre | Artisan P is Renaissance Man in the industry, creating music as an emcee, musician and writer. P holds his influences and sounds with pride describing it as “underground boom-bap music, with some lo-fi elements.” It’s those elements and Artisan’s commitment to release quality art at a consistent rate that makes him a must-listen in 2020. Even with Artisan filling the boom bap role, his verses and music extend beyond that with P’s flows and cadence embodying the poetic heart that hip-hop was born in. Coming off the release of his latest project “How We Kept On” Artisan looks to close the year on a high as he begins preparations for his debut full-length project. Artisan P’s family holds over 50 years of legacy in music, ensuring that our hero would eventually pursue music as well. “My father is a musician, he’s been with his band from Haiti since 1968, they just celebrated their 52nd anniversary.” P says. Meanwhile, P’s mother was a big fan of the art form introducing P to Haitian music, R&B, pop and rock. As he grew up Artisan continued to discover instruments on his own while attending concerts and soundchecks with his father, seeing the creation process firsthand. Piano, Guitar and saxophone are just a few of the instruments Artisan learned to play growing up and in fact still plays guitar to this day. After playing in a few bands throughout high school and college our hero decided to go solo and become Artisan P. The Miami stalwart delivers a refreshing execution in the practice of hip-hop. Artisan P pays homage to the legends that came before him while simultaneously carving out his own path to become a legend in his own right. It isn’t about the fame or any version of clout for him though as his goal is to get evoke something from them. “I want them to walk away with something to think about,” Artisan says, “I want people to be able to chill to my music, I want people to feel relaxed and good.” Over the course of releasing music these last five years, Artisan has shown a diversity of styles and the ability to rhyme over a plethora of sounds making him accessible for everyone. This being said, it is important to run Artisan P’s music back because he intentionally packs easter eggs for listeners to find. It’s one thing to have “bars” and Artisan P always provides prime execution in that arena, he separates himself in packing each track with relatable content and lyrical mastery that must be respected. Artisan P has spent the last few years owning the touring circuit in South, providing a platform for independent artists while dominating the stage himself. Also during this time he’s been releasing singles produced by other artists DJ Proof, Dr. LaFlow to name a few. All of his work ethic has P gaining attention at a national level, racking up close to 20K listens across platforms and performing with the likes of KRS-One, Epic Beard Men and more. The prolific Florida artist is garnering national coverage too with outlets like Underground Hip Hop Blog and Insomniac Magazine covering his work. Earlier in 2020, Artisan P released his EP “How We Kept On” which has already been picked up by Insomniac Magazine. Artisan P’s consistency and premiere ability to create engaging music is what will have him as a legend just like his father. ~ Michael Stover |

Greška is a five piece neo-gypsy/klezmer ensemble not unlike a chipotle and cocaine kebab: you’re not sure where it’s from, but it sure knocks you off your tits. A torn canvas of Romanian gypsy dons a filthy smear of western metal, jazz-funk and classical-arrangement. Greshka are like the excitement of stubbing your toe on a wad of cash you forgot about; it didn't hurt, it was unexpected and you were a bit angry at first, but then remembered how much you feel like buying a really expensive bottle of wine to go with your petrol station steak-and-mushroom pie. This is a band who are alike jumping on the 412, missing your stop and somehow ending up in the Jewish province of Sweden; you didn't know it existed but now you're here you might as well buy a nice hat. Greshka play music which sounds like the contents of Humphrey Bears suitcase as he departs for a bush doof with his boyfriend. When you attend a Greshka gig you leave with the same feeling as having read a bio which is entirely unrelated to what you wanted to hear, but it was kind of funny and you had a great pie even though the wine was a bit too fruity for your liking.

Search | Add | 11 | Josh Buché | Born high in the mountains of eastern Nebraska at the ripe young age of 19 with a full head of hair, Josh Buché is mostly just confused. His desire to produce emotionally evocative recordings in tandem with an obsessive need to collect and play any instrument he can drives him to spend most of his time working towards inane and nearly pointless goals which are insane to most people. He’s even been known to play shows… sometimes. Is it an effort in self-gratification, is there some inherent value to playing and recording music for its own sake, or should he be hospitalized for his own good? Listen and decide for yourself.
