Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 11 | "Killer Joe" Piro | Frank Piro | Frank "Killer Joe" Piro (2 March 1921 - 5 February 1989) was a dance instructor to high society and popularized steps of the discotheque era of the 1960s and 1970s. In the early fifties, he opened his own studio on 54 West 55th Street in Manhattan, where many in New York's high society came to take dance lessons. Over the decades he taught what would become the mainstays of the discothèque scene: the Mambo, the Cha-cha and the Merengue, then the Twist and later the Frug, the Frog, the Watusi, and the Hully Gully. His students included the Duke of Windsor, Sita Devi Gaekwar - Maharani of Baroda, Dame Margot Fonteyn, Ray Bolger, Luci Baines Johnson, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and, by 1965, more than a million other Americans via the Emmy award-winning TV show 'That Was the Week That Was.' His fame somehow spread far enough to be photographed by Richard Avedon and to inspire a Filipino guitar band, the Rocky Fellers, to record a tribute tune, "Killer Joe," for Scepter Records in 1963. The record earned the band a spot on the Top 40 pop charts for a few weeks, though it bears more than a passing similarity to the Mickey & Sylvia hit, "Love is Strange." Despite being the undisputed "King of the Discotheque," Piro never opened his own club. Asked why, he replied, "I like things the way they are. I don't want to be watching a cash register, watching the waiters - it would take all the beauty of dancing away from me and I would get old." |

| Search | Add | 11 | Museleon | Odette Johnson | After 19 years as an electronic musician under another guise ([a=Soundician]), I finally decided to create a project which allows me to break away from some of the conventions that I have used elsewhere. I have been experimenting more with sound and to finally produce my own tracks. I use a range of field recordings, found sounds and hardware with minimal processing as I’ve always been interested in how sound can morph into beautiful complex patterns with the limited use of tech and processing. It’s the ‘small sounds’, anomalies, mistakes and the sounds ‘between’ that catch my ear. Many of the pieces I create are based on images and things I see, which act as a type of graphic score and increasingly I am using one field recording solely as the basis for the track I am creating, referring to my music as Sound Pictures. The majority of the music is created to be listened via headphones to get the full effect. [a=Odette Johnson] writes music and plays instruments, including keyboards, synths and samplers. |

A masterly studio animal, a skilled and experienced DJ always ready to put out some music whether is through his energized Dj Sets, Live Jams or releases in his own but not only, Nebulaee Feeds organicity to the machines, and the machines respond. They respond in a roving and rebellious manner, an innocuous and peculiar register that is easily spotted in the first bars of each song he composes and each record he chooses. DJ since 2001, he imprints his petulance, charisma, and avant-garde taste into his musical selection, which extends to the vast records he produces, on labels of his authorship FLMB vinyl only, Souled black digital and in releases on labels such as Purism from Italian Deep house maestro Enrico Mantini, La Vie En Rose from Terrence :Terry:, home/made, among others, recently made a live act with the Bulgarian Techno Legend KiNK. He is also part of Lifestyling, a Lisbon collective in which he plays regularly, giving wings to his record bag, and applying his artistic maturity on stage. |

He was officially considered to be a pioneer of country music. His name appears as one of the country music artists in the 1969 WWVA Jamboree Tribute Book to Hall of Famers and other special country music legends. He performed regularly with his own show (The Star Maker Show) on the Ernest Tubb Jamboree Radio Show. He was for over twenty years, a disc jockey with his own morning show on WKRT in Cortland, NY. He had four songs on the national charts. His music was distributed and played nationally. He shared the stage with Loretta Lynn, Eddie Arnold, Roy Drusky, Tex Ritter, Wanda Jackson, Sons of the Pioneers (with whom he and my mother did shows with in Florida and elsewhere), Ferlin Husky, Roy Clark, many others. In Cortland, NY, there is a museum that holds many of Tex's musical pieces and special items. He also had his own television show... His recording of "What Love Have I" reached #11 on the charts. Songs do not reach at those numbers without fans purchasing them from more than just the local town the artist came from. Tex Roe's accomplishments with his musical career are many, as are the accolade's from far outside his local residency. These words are from his family, friends and fans from across the world. The great and legendary late [a246644] produced the album, "Fire Shootin' Pony" for Tex on Mark IV Records around 1970 at his studio in Accokeek, MD. He is best remembered for "Rocketship To The Moon", "John The Baptist" and "Treasure Chest Of Love." All were original compositions, "John The Baptist" being written by Tex's good friend and partner, [a=John Tobin (4)]. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Omer Coleman Jr. | Omer Gene Coleman II | Born: Sep 4, 1953 Died: Nov 17, 2020 Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri in the late 1970’s Omer was running a mobile disco that ended up using live instruments. It incorporated a spectacular stage show with smoke and light effects. Along with other stage props, including a spaceship styled car, the stage attention inspired him to create his first solo album in the early 1980’s under his moniker “Starship Commander Woo-Woo”. The record itself had a small amount of local success, enough that he started his own label “[l59710] Records”. The name "[l59710]" is actually his first name "Omer" spelled backwards. Releasing 2 Electro styled tracks similar to “Egyptian Lover” and others groups from that era he finally scored a local hit. Omer independently wrote, recorded, produced and released all of his records. By the late 1990’s after his frustrations with radio jocks and the way promotions let him down, he had moved to a gospel sound. Working with young talents and helping to get gospel based hip-hop artists more awareness, he is still active in the community. |

His first single from 1973 was a mid-tempo number entitled "Finders Aren't Always Keepers" flipped with "Do That To Me" It gained National distribution and had some good success. Tunnie left Fame records and was introduced to Stax record executives Al Bell and John Smith. After signing with Stax Tunnie met legendary writer and performer David Porter where they recorded an album which was scheduled for release around 1973/74. Unfortunately Stax's association with CBS came to a halt and the project got shelved. Tunnie went home and carried on performing around the Louisiana area with his new band Sweet Music Orchestra" | |

| Search | Add | 11 | Alex Eisenring | Alex Roger Eisenring Castro | Mexican musician, composer, audio engineer and record producer. A pioneer in rock, prog rock, avant-garde, techno, electronic, soundtrack, and experimental music in Mexico. He started playing covers with a band called [i]La Marioneta Eléctrica[/i] which then in 1973 became a trio, [a7547606], influenced by free jazz, progressive rock and experimental music, with [a7547605] (drums), [a7547627] (bass) and Alex Eisenring (piano, guitar) as the founding members. The band had many different line-ups and instruments, even having up to 13 musicians at the same time. Alex was eager to adopt an electronic style for the band however his partners disagreed, that's why in the same night of 1981, [i]Queso Sagrado[/i] was being dissolved giving its last live show while [a1109492] was being formed by him along with [a4325278] and [a4325277], performing its first live show. Allegedly [m1577327] was the first techno music ever made in Mexico. Around this time, by seeing the inaction of major labels around indie Mexican rock projects, Alex felt motivated to intervene more as a producer to help promoting the underground music scene, that's how he started out some collaborations with [a595604], [a3739126], [a2323291], [a4568664], [a3738097] and [a204112], among others. Due to this lack of economic support, there was a multidisciplinary collaboration of different artists with their different projects not only with music, for example many musicians did also design, production, illustration, photography or typography for other colleague bands and artists, making very interesting concepts of musical styles and influences, art, culture and multimedia. In 1985, upon the disbandment of [i]Syntoma[/i], he also began to learn computer programming and building, mainly as a job, but with the aim of having a high-tech recording studio of his own and as a perhaps cheaper way to obtain a [i]Synclavier[/i] or a [i]Fairlight CMI[/i]: homemade. He began then to work as an engineer out of necessity, as there were no engineers specialized in experimental and electronic styles. In 1992 the first digital recording (with no tapes) in Mexico was being made in his home studio by his project [a4352070], co-founded by Alex with [a2185680] and [a724995]. In 2010, after being around twenty years inactive, just working in 3D animation, video editing and graphic design, he was invited by [a896838] and [a1272488] to collaborate with [a204112]. By 2012 they were performing for [a2608026] short films live projections as well as other silent short films from surreal cinema movement. In his most recent projects he co-founded, with [a233176] after his return to Mexico from being in NYC around thirty years, [a963983] and [a5658993]. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Pedro G. Marques | Pedro G. Marques started to show a deep interest in music since his early youth and began tooking piano lessons at the age of 8. Later, he joined the Vila Real Music Academy and, afterwards, the Porto Jazz School. In his teens, Pedro was a huge Metal fan but soon his horizons became wider, embracing almost every genre: Post-Punk to Easy Listening; Electronica to Jazz; Classical to Industrial. In 1990, Huska (a.k.a. Hüska Burra Mamô), a Goth/Punk/Alternative band from Vila Real, were formed. Pedro was the lead singer of Huska and the group disbanded around 1996. In 2003, he started to think about starting a solo music project and Dead by Request was born. In its beginnings, Dead by Request's music was deeply influenced by some well-known ambient/experimental icons such as Coil, Legendary Pink Dots, Klaus Schulze or Pete Namlook, but after a while its sound gained a lot more of a synthpop/electro-rock feeling, much in the vein of bands like Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Clan of Xymox or Lou Champagne System. After composing several soundtracks for visual/photographic installations as Dead by Request, Marques formed If I Die in 2015. If I Die released four singles during 2015, but the project ended that same year. Pedro G. Marques is now making music under the name of Songs From Hidden Places. | |

Majkol Jay starts as a resident DJ in the La Canniccia Club of Versilia and later in the best clubs in Tuscany, where he meets several important DJ producers who have incentivized him in the creation of his musical projects, coming to produce in 2006 his first single entitled "Welcome in My Head" produced for Chameleon Records, a label with which artists like Alex Neri have collaborated. The track is supported by various DJ producers, and in particular inserted in the live sets of the Djs of Diabolika Events, and live on M2O radio with the Dj Emanuele Inglese. Following his experience with various labels, Majkol obtains an important collaboration with the historic record label OceanTrax Records and with the DJ Producer Gianni Bini. Thus the success comes with the singles "Free Download" and "Without You", where the latter in a few days from the release reaches the first place in the House ranking, in one of the most important online sales portals and becomes part of the Top Tracks of 2015, obtaining important supports in particular from Dj Mark Knight, David Penn, Jay Vegas, Bronx Cheer and many others. Majkol has had important collaborations in recent years such as with the singers Sara Grimaldi, Loredana Majuri, Liz Hill, EleNoire and Andrea Love, making successful singles and therefore entering the international music scene, distinguishing himself for his eclectic and energetic sound, preferring a refined groove and the creation of harmonies and melodies that draw inspiration from the greatest pioneers of electronic music, House, Funk and Disco from the 70s, thus giving life to unique and magnetic sounds. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Mykynes | Marco van der Zwart | Mykynes is a project founded by [a=marco svarda] in 2005, to replace his former DJ Marin-handle. The name is derived from one of the Faroe Islands (Føroyar) and inspiration for it came from a visit to the islands. Unofficial releases of Mykynes started circulating in 2008, but never materialized into official signings. After 2011, Marco used his Mykynes-project merely for bootleg remixes and DJ-performances. The project returned to original works in 2018, after Marco joined the platform Choon. Some of the unofficial releases such as 'Gravity', 'Mykines' and 'For The Love Of An Angel' have been completely reworked and rereleased on Choon. 'Any Given Day' was the first fully original production as Mykynes, and got released on Choon in July 2019. While running a remix contest on Any Given Day, Choon went out of business. This forced the decision to use Any Given Day as the first official release on the newly established label [l=Premier League Recordings]. The track came out in November 2019, with an additional remix from [a=Lumin-8]. Not long after, the best remixes from the contest have been released on the label as well. With Marco Svarda used a bit broader in terms of genres and styles, Marco will continue Mykynes next to it, as a dedicated trance-project. The Mykynes sound covers a wide BPM range, and is characterized by dreamy sounds and tracks build as (part of) a journey. Very melodic, and emotional. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Cash Money Brothas | Cash Money Brothas were a duo out of East Chicago who consisted of "Ponyboy" and "Kaoss". They started making mixtapes in their home when they were in their early 20's. Their "CMB Hip-Hop Megamix" tape series spanned 12 volumes in all and became quite popular in Gary, IN and Chicago, IL where you could find them being sold at local record stores that specialized in dance and hip-hop music. Sometimes they would sell the tapes themselves to fans for only $5 a pop. These tapes stood out at the time as they would use vinyl records to mix the songs, beats and rhythms and then add the finishing touches using sound tools on a Macintosh computer. "The mix itself takes three days to be perfected" said Ponyboy in a 1993 interview. These tapes are now quite rare and sought after by tape collectors. Around the same time the duo was also involved in production duties for the Livin Large Records label out of Chicago. Although there were only a total of 8 releases in all, many of these cuts would make their way to the clubs and House music mixtape circuit. Some were prominently featured by Chicago DJ Bad Boy Bill on his "Hot Mix" tape series. After spending most of the 90's releasing underground mixtapes, Ponyboy eventually became the frontman of the hip-hop trio, "Los Marijuanos", in 1999. | |

| Search | Add | 11 | Anastasi Mavrides | Anastasi Mavrides | American musician, composer and pianist, born in Pennsylvania, United States. Composer and producer Anastasi (ah nah STAH zee) knew at an early age that his love of music would play an important role in his life. After years of learning to play a variety of instruments, he went on to study music and eastern philosophy in college. It was during this time that he began to experiment with music and sounds that might be conducive to relaxation and concentration. To support himself, he played in several rock and jazz bands and in 1978 he was back-up guitarist for the Beach Boys on their “Almost Summer Tour.” Later, he and Donna O’Sullivan formed a production company called Metromusic in Mill Valley, California, which went on to produce award-winning music for commercials and film. He also created The Classical Child Series, which is a whimsical reinterpretation of traditional classical melodies. He originally came up with the idea as a way to expose his newborn daughter to the world of classical music. The Nature’s Classics Series Anastasi recorded for Real Music is a collection of popular classical pieces creatively combined with sounds of nature. They include Country Morning, Country Evening, and The Pachelbel Canon with Ocean Sounds. The latter, having sold over 300,000 copies, proved to be one of Real Music’s hottest selling titles. On The Pachelbel Canon with Ocean Sounds, Anastasi took the timeless charm of this world class piece and developed an arrangement which expands on its already meditative and inspirational qualities. The simple, yet compelling “Canon in D” melody is coupled with gentle ocean waves which unfold throughout this instrumental poetry, conjuring up vivid imagery of a distant shore. On CinemOcean, Anastasi has taken ten of the most beautiful movie themes (from composers as diverse as Vangelis, John Barry, Ennio Morricone and Ryuichi Sakamoto) and masterfully arranged them into a poignant musical tapestry. Enhanced by the rhythmic caress of ocean waves, this album creates an ideal environment for quiet thought, reflection, meditation and encouraging the magic of one's own imagination. As Anastasi says of this work, “It's evident that music can have a powerful influence on the human spirit, so what I've tried to achieve with The Pachelbel Canon and CinemOcean is a soothing pocket of relaxation and beauty that can uplift anyone who listens and inspire them to their highest potential.” |
