Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 11 | Alfiero Massimini | Alfiero Massimini | Italian Musician, Sound Engineer and Sound Designer, active between 1987 and 1997. He cooperated with various recording studios, like Logic Studios, Pixel Sound, Eclisse Studio, Stone Castle Studios, Psycho Studio, and Green Studio, covering multiple roles. Alfiero started as an engineering assistant and focused on Digital Editing, Digital Sound Design, Digital Post-Production, and Digital Mastering. He was one of the first in Italy to specialize in working on digital direct-to-disk systems such as Synclavier, Fairlight, Opus Lexicon and AMS Logic. Among Italian and international artists, he worked with Depeche Mode, Yes, Robert Palmer, Vasco Rossi, Franco Battiato, Fabrizio De Andrè, Paolo Conte, Jovanotti and many others. Unfortunately, in the 1980s and 1990s, Alfiero's work (Digital Editing, Digital Sound Design, Digital Post-Production, and Digital Mastering on direct-to-disk systems) was very often planned and performed at the last moment, when the booklet was already printed or in printing. For this reason, Alfiero doesn't appear in some album credits, even if he worked in the making. Alfiero retired from discography in 1998 and today is a real estate advisor and investor. |

Search | Add | 11 | Artisan P | Phil Andre | Artisan P is Renaissance Man in the industry, creating music as an emcee, musician and writer. P holds his influences and sounds with pride describing it as “underground boom-bap music, with some lo-fi elements.” It’s those elements and Artisan’s commitment to release quality art at a consistent rate that makes him a must-listen in 2020. Even with Artisan filling the boom bap role, his verses and music extend beyond that with P’s flows and cadence embodying the poetic heart that hip-hop was born in. Coming off the release of his latest project “How We Kept On” Artisan looks to close the year on a high as he begins preparations for his debut full-length project. Artisan P’s family holds over 50 years of legacy in music, ensuring that our hero would eventually pursue music as well. “My father is a musician, he’s been with his band from Haiti since 1968, they just celebrated their 52nd anniversary.” P says. Meanwhile, P’s mother was a big fan of the art form introducing P to Haitian music, R&B, pop and rock. As he grew up Artisan continued to discover instruments on his own while attending concerts and soundchecks with his father, seeing the creation process firsthand. Piano, Guitar and saxophone are just a few of the instruments Artisan learned to play growing up and in fact still plays guitar to this day. After playing in a few bands throughout high school and college our hero decided to go solo and become Artisan P. The Miami stalwart delivers a refreshing execution in the practice of hip-hop. Artisan P pays homage to the legends that came before him while simultaneously carving out his own path to become a legend in his own right. It isn’t about the fame or any version of clout for him though as his goal is to get evoke something from them. “I want them to walk away with something to think about,” Artisan says, “I want people to be able to chill to my music, I want people to feel relaxed and good.” Over the course of releasing music these last five years, Artisan has shown a diversity of styles and the ability to rhyme over a plethora of sounds making him accessible for everyone. This being said, it is important to run Artisan P’s music back because he intentionally packs easter eggs for listeners to find. It’s one thing to have “bars” and Artisan P always provides prime execution in that arena, he separates himself in packing each track with relatable content and lyrical mastery that must be respected. Artisan P has spent the last few years owning the touring circuit in South, providing a platform for independent artists while dominating the stage himself. Also during this time he’s been releasing singles produced by other artists DJ Proof, Dr. LaFlow to name a few. All of his work ethic has P gaining attention at a national level, racking up close to 20K listens across platforms and performing with the likes of KRS-One, Epic Beard Men and more. The prolific Florida artist is garnering national coverage too with outlets like Underground Hip Hop Blog and Insomniac Magazine covering his work. Earlier in 2020, Artisan P released his EP “How We Kept On” which has already been picked up by Insomniac Magazine. Artisan P’s consistency and premiere ability to create engaging music is what will have him as a legend just like his father. ~ Michael Stover |

Search | Add | 11 | Melting Clouds | Melting Clouds are trying not to limit themselves to any particular genre or style while constantly transforming. The reason is that the music they play goes beyond the threshold of 'just music', it has its own visual characters and philosophy which are entangled with other areas of art blurring the lines and united under the flag of Melting Clouds. As a result, one of the main goals is consolidation and synthesis of both musical palettes and various forms of art in order to create new vision of the process of creation. Also, one of the goals is to cooperate with people who have fresh ideas and the willingness to cooperate.

Alternative Rock, Pop-Punk, Indie-Rock, Alternative Country

He has composed music for Robert Turło's film "Wall", which was nominated for the Golden Palm at Cannes. In between recordings and concerts, he makes quite a career… in marketing. A guy with a strong character and lots of energy. Likes to have the last word. He thinks quickly (always rationally!) and makes decisions even faster. Everything he engages in turns into gold. According to the rest of the band, he is a brilliant bass player, appreciated for his aggressive sound and technical versatility. |

Search | Add | 11 | The New Princes Toronto Band | In 1923 Sam Laschiver, who was the booking agent for fashionable 'Rector's Club' in Tottenham Court Road, London, met up with Toronto saxophonist [a=Hal Swain] in Canada. Swain gathered together a band of young jazz musicians, which Laschivier called "The Toronto Orchestra" and they were duly booked on a one year contract for the London club. This band were: Hal Swain (sax/cornet); Billy Hall (trombone/sax); Frank Walsh (piano/organ); Dave Caplan (banjo); Ran Garrison (sousaphone, trombone & sax); Ken Kenny (drums). On arrival in the UK the band found the club had closed. Laschiver got them a booking at the 'New Princes Restaurant' in Piccadilly and the band became resident there for two years - thus becoming "The New Princes Toronto Band". The band recorded in London on the Columbia label between Nov 1924 & Feb 1926. Some recordings were made for the Crystalate company under pseudonyms, as the band were contracted to Columbia. Labels for these were 'Imperial', 'Currys', 'Oliver', 'Pigmy' and 'Mimosa'. The 'disguised' band also issued on 'Regal'. Swain departed in 1926 and Caplan became the leader of the band (now with Harry Hoffman and Art Christmas) taking on his name as "[a=Dave Caplan's Toronto Band]". By the time this band toured Berlin in the summer of 1926 the line-up had changed further; Dave Caplan, Les Allen, Lorne Cole, Harry Hoffman, Laurie Day, Art Christmas, Arthur Lousley, Arthur Calkin & Jack Collins.

Search | Add | 11 | Greška | Loosen your suspenders, tighten your shoelaces and get ready to flap your extremities. Greška is a five piece neo-gypsy/klezmer ensemble not unlike a chipotle and cocaine kebab: you’re not sure where it’s from, but it sure knocks you off your tits. A torn canvas of Romanian gypsy dons a filthy smear of western metal, jazz-funk and classical-arrangement. Greshka are like the excitement of stubbing your toe on a wad of cash you forgot about; it didn't hurt, it was unexpected and you were a bit angry at first, but then remembered how much you feel like buying a really expensive bottle of wine to go with your petrol station steak-and-mushroom pie. This is a band who are alike jumping on the 412, missing your stop and somehow ending up in the Jewish province of Sweden; you didn't know it existed but now you're here you might as well buy a nice hat. Greshka play music which sounds like the contents of Humphrey Bears suitcase as he departs for a bush doof with his boyfriend. When you attend a Greshka gig you leave with the same feeling as having read a bio which is entirely unrelated to what you wanted to hear, but it was kind of funny and you had a great pie even though the wine was a bit too fruity for your liking.

More than two hundred television films were made by the "Kullerköpfe" already. As a mobile theater, they play in all major cities in Germany. In almost 3,000 performances, around one million spectators watched the program "Paulchen and Annabella". This was their first, which was awarded the "Brothers Grimm Prize of the State of Berlin". Excerpts from it were published by German Television, radio stations Radio Bremen, SFB and NDR. The youth authorities know the "Kullerköpfe" very well. Their play became an integral part of youth work."

Search | Add | 11 | Classic The Fist | CLASSIC THE FIST is the acoustic punch against the professional indifference and for more ecstatic nonsense. So, while the techno scene is drowning behind their computer screens in the middle of 50 decibel and shitty 80/30 deals, CLASSIC THE FIST pushes the cat out of the bag with a big bash. TAKE CONTROL AGAIN. Go back to the things that really matter. Don’t take everything too seriously. Full focus on music. Take risks. No more moaning. Do it yourself. Take a stand. Yes or no? Improvisation rules! Perfection wastes action. Show your balls. Smoke, drink, everything. What do you really want? No risk, no fist! So take off your earplugs and get into the dual fistmania because those two techno grenades are taking back control. For many years they have been smashing their tracks into the clubs. Dirty, wild and misted by sweat. Yet meanwhile, the music around them became quieter, the light got brighter and the sweat dried. Promotional pictures got sharper, record sleeves sustainable, social media strategies more strategic. And the music? So so… … but wait, are you sure that is the right thing to say? Before you mention something like that you should take a close look at both sides and enter a dialog. It’s probably a good idea to reconsider altogether with a yogi chai so that nobody feels discriminated and we all stay socially equal. Absolutely everyone’s opinion should be taken into consideration….Fuck TV! Fuck radio! Fuck Yogis! Fuck everything! Buy the record! The design is a disaster. The Facebook page is a catastrophe. But who cares because the sound is hammering away everything. All the strength is put into the tracks, not into exercising disco muscles. Euphoria is sounding through the grooves and energy is smashing through the bass. The sweat is starting to drip again. Get rid of the paralysis, the madness starts now! Let’s go anal! Nice to meet you! Legal Note: CLASSIC THE FIST is uncompromisingly against vegan cat feeding and insistently for women who smile without a reason

Search | Add | 11 | Jennifer McCray | Jennifer McCray is a singer / songwriter. Growing up as a part of a musical family, Jennifer's father being a successful recording artist landing a number 1 hit in the 70's with the song "Rock your baby" had given her the opportunity to experience music at a very young age. Jennifer started writing poetry at the young age of 6 years old and has been given singing lessons as well as singing in the church choir . Born in Miami Beach Florida, Jennifer moved to Canada (where her mother is from) and at 17 ventured off to Europe for the first time where her father was living. During a recording session in a studio in Belgium, Jennifer met her future manager Ronny Flas who exclusively signed her as an artist of TSP Records. From then on Jennifer decided to pursue a career in music by experimenting with different styles and writing all her own songs. She got the chance to work in Metropolis studios in London with her first single "Do Anything" a song written by Hawk Wolinski. After a lot of work in songwriting for herself and for other artists as Silvano for which she composed the song "Encore" that reached N°3 in the charts, Jennifer is really concentrating on her debut album. The first single released out of this album was "Connected". It reached N°2 in the charts. After the singles "Connected", "In Your Head" and "Letting Me Go" Jennifer will soon release her first album.

In the 1960s, in accordance with President Sukarno's suggestion regarding the Indonesianization of names, Jack changed his name to Jack Lesmana. It was from his parents that Jack inherited his musical talent. In 1942 he founded a jazz group called Dixieland in Jember, East Java. At the age of 15, he joined the Berger Quartet as a guitarist, consisting of Berger (piano), Putirai (drums), and Jumono (bass). Then in 1962 Lesmana's combo played for president Sukarno who liked them though they were not required to play jazz but Indonesian traditional and folk music. They remained the "palace band" until the the coup against Sukarno in 1966. The Jack Lesmana Quintet often performed at jazz events at RRI Surabaya. He had also joined the Navy Music Unit, also in Surabaya. He also founded the Gema Irama Band in Jakarta and made several jazz recording albums with the Irama label. In the mid 60's, Jack Lesmana (guitar) with Bubi Chen (piano), Benny Mustapha van Diest (drums), Maryono (flute, saxophone), and Jopie Chen (bass), formed the jazz group [a449199] who played with and record an album with Tony Scott.. In 1978, Jack Lesmana and his son Indra had the opportunity to go to Australia to perform at the ASEAN Trade Fair cultural week. It was then, Indra tried to take the entrance exam at the New South Wales Conservatory School of Music in Sydney and was accepted. In 1979 his son Indra Jack and his family moved to Australia for five years. Better known for having co-founded the Mudd Club in New York in 1978, she also played a couple of roles on no-wave films such as Rome '78, Kidnapped and The Foreigner. A clothing design enthusiast, she dedicated her life on making some of the most remarkable punk/no-wave costumes, including the pink dress worn by her friend Debbie Harry on the cover of Blondie's Plastic Letters album. Although she was one of the most glamorous and innovative girls of her time, Phillips never had the opportunity to achieve the fame she had so longed for, especially because of her premature death at the age of 26, after losing a two-year battle against a brain cancer.

Search | Add | 11 | Josh Buché | Born high in the mountains of eastern Nebraska at the ripe young age of 19 with a full head of hair, Josh Buché is mostly just confused. His desire to produce emotionally evocative recordings in tandem with an obsessive need to collect and play any instrument he can drives him to spend most of his time working towards inane and nearly pointless goals which are insane to most people. He’s even been known to play shows… sometimes. Is it an effort in self-gratification, is there some inherent value to playing and recording music for its own sake, or should he be hospitalized for his own good? Listen and decide for yourself.

Search | Add | 11 | Mind Mine | Mind Mine is an explosive post-hardcore trio from the Greater Houston Area. Formed in 2022, the band combines hardcore punk intensity with soaring melodic dynamics, creating an aggressive yet accessible sound inspired by influential acts like Black Flag, Coalesce, Botch, Godflesh, Sepultura and Converge. The prolific three-piece of Jeff Perales (guitar/vocals), Victor Mills (bass/vocals), and David Klotz (drums/vocals) has unleashed nearly 20 releases in under two years. With a relentless output and ferocious live shows, Mind Mine is rapidly making a name for themselves by redefining hardcore, punk, and metal with their own brand of controlled chaos and the mantra "I am not defined by how you feel." This is an unapologetic band determined to dominate on their own terms. #mindminetx #doitforchicorecords
