Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Watang! | Watang! Is a surf-instro project led by El Sentenza, former banjo player from [a=The Legendary Kid Combo], together with Marla’O, guitar player from the all-female Italian garage queens [a=The Cleopatras]. This project was born at the beginning of summer 2013, with the help of Barba San, from the Italian beat band The Albinos, Cecilia Ann, famous bass based indie-pendent songwriter and Mimmi, one of the best and eclectic jazz drummers of the Garda Lake area. The former idea was to create a standard surf combo, then after a couple of weeks in the basement, the project took a different shape, mixing the musical tastes of all the musicians involved. The original surf sound took a different direction, moving towards the surf revival of the 90’s, the garage beat revival, and the traditional Oriental melodies from the Far East area. All the imaginary and the artwork was inspired by the oriental Z movies, martial arts and fancied mysterious stories from ancient east. The band wear original Kung Fu kimonos and the (dragon) ladies are dressed like famous almond eyed movies star actresses. Main influences are bands like The Bomboras, Ghastly Ones, Satan’s Pilgrims, mixed with The Ventures, Takeshi Terauchi, The Fuzztones, Gravedigger V, Roky Erikson, The Pixies, The Cramps, Link Wray, Johnny Thunders, Dick Dale, Question Mark and the Mysterians...

Search | Add | 2 | Alycia Putnam | Since being inspired at the age of nine when she saw Natalie MacMaster in concert, Alycia Putnam has been working on her fiddle chops and a deep repertoire of foot-stompin’ tunes. The result of this dedication has been three solo albums and thousands of live performances spanning the globe from Pictou to Amsterdam, and back to Pictou. Alycia’s most recent album, the much anticipated Wired for Sound, includes 13 tracks of traditional to more eclectic fiddle music and the immense talent of 10 of the province’s most well-known musicians. Since her performing career took off in the late 90’s, Alycia has amassed a network of artists she regularly adds to her live performances depending on what’s needed for the gig. Her core family band (her dad, Robert, on guitar and her mom, Kelly, on bagpipes) can be expanded to feature percussion, bass, vocals, banjo, mandolin, and a suite of other sounds depending on who’s footing the bill. Regardless of the band’s composition, this live show has something for everyone and is a must-see for anybody who loves Cape-Breton-style fiddle music played by a mainlander.

Search | Add | 2 | Emilio Guerrero | Tejano singer and musician born in Corpus Christi, Texas in April of 1948. Emilio's musical career started while he was attending Wynn Seal Jr. High in Corpus Christi. Emilio and a group of his friends put together a band and started playing around town at private parties, record hops, and what kid’s use to call jives. fter graduating from Roy Miller High School in 1967, Emilio joined the U.S. Army and was shipped to Ft. Polk, LA for basic training. While stationed at Ft. Polk, Emilio and four other soldiers from New Jersey and New York formed a vocal group that began singing at the NCO club on base. In June 1970, Emilio returned home after being Honorably discharged from the Army and got his musical career started again. Instead of singing though, he started playing keyboards for several local bands. He played with the Johnny Canales Band, Los Lemans, and finally with T.J. & Company. Emilio got started back singing by accident. One night the singer for the band did not show up and Emilio was asked if he could fill in. Emilio agreed. From then on he became one of the band’s singers. In 1977 Zeke Saucedo (guitar), and Sam Deleon (keyboards), convinced Emilio to start his own band. In 1977, with the help of his brother Leonard Guerrero to run sound, Zeke and Sam, Charro Band was born.

Search | Add | 2 | Freres Peur | Freres Peur | The Freres Peur (Jeremie Lasseuax, Circus Disfus, Gresio Lubbia, Languido Policorvio, Seflü Onglet and Peur Whis) are an European art collective best known for avant-garde and experimental music, multimedia works, famous for being the founders of the Rumedelic Music. Throughout the group's existence, the individual members have ostensibly attempted to operate under anonymity preferring, instead, to have attention focused on their art output. Much outside speculation and rumour has focused on this aspect of the group. In public, the group appears hidden behind a huge Plasmatron often wearing noisy helmets and dressed as elephants. Although the Freres Peur developed a substantial following and generated considerable press coverage, they never released a record until 2013. The Freres Peur hail from Sumanie (France), where they met in high school in the 1980s. In 1986 the members headed south, but after their truck broke down in Arvier (Aosta Valley), they decided to remain there. While attempting to make a living, they began to experiment with tape machines, photography, and anything remotely to do with art that they could get their hands on. Word of their experimentation spread and in 1979, an Italian guitarist and multi-instrumentalist named Gresio Lubbia and the mysterious Circus Disfus (whom Lubbia had picked up in Belgrad where the aged avant-gardist was recording dogs singing) paid them a visit, and decided to remain. The two Italians would become great influences on the band, Lubbia's guitar playing technique earned him the nickname Aquarium Player. The group purchased crude recording equipment, instruments and began to make tapes, refusing to let an almost complete lack of musical proficiency stand in the way. In 1982 the group began to make the first of their unreleased tapes. Rumors have surfaced of two (of perhaps hundreds) unreleased reel-to-reel items titled "Northern ballads of The Dumb Elephant with the Czech Chameleons". The album has never been released in any form, and until 2013 they did not record any albums or single. In many says there are lots of tapes dating back decades, but they were all recorded before the group had officially become "The Freres Peur" so the band does not consider them to be part of their discography. Since 1980 they have performed only in secret and very few live performances, all carried out inside the forests of the Aosta Valley. In 2001 the former member of the band Jeremie Lasseuax left the Freres Peur. He was replaced by the follower of acousmatic music known with the nickname of Languido Policorvio. Until 2009, they have always refused to record their music, stating that the real music is that which does not exist, one made at random. In 2009, the first Freres Peur composition (Black Flesh) in more than 30 years was available on the Internet. In 2013 their first single record will be available on their label "Rumedelic Records". Near the end of 2013, Gresio Lubbia felt some of his own creative contributions were going unrecognised. At the end of 2013, with a recording session already booked to record another album, Lubbia quit the Freres Peur. In January 2014, the group added Peur Whis as the fifth member of the Freres Peur. |
