Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Ojee Los Angeles based indie-dub duo of Eric Green and Brian Campbell. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Brian Campbell and Eric Green (the duo who are Ojee) eventually found themselves down in Los Angeles. Here they further developed their sound, but the feeling of the wilderness remained. Finally there came "Ojee Walk Upright", the recently recorded debut album. The sound of Ojee can most accurately be described as indie dub-rock. Their songs combine reggae rhythms and basslines with folky vocal harmonies, weaving through a steady rock beat. Existence, self-reflection, and human nature are the focus of the lyrics. Three of their biggest influences throughout the years have been Lee "Scratch" Perry, Donovan, and Beck.

Search Add 2 HiFi Champion Brent Colby Brent Colby has been active in the reggae and dub scene for more than twenty years during which he earned credibility as an acclaimed live performer. He possesses an unparalled understanding of what a crowd wants. While he enjoyed playing shows with his bands Top Ranking and Swinging Relatives, he turned to writing original music early on. In 1992, he went to Kingston, Jamaica, to record with Chaka Demus and the producer Cornell Marshall from “Third World”. Brent thoroughly enjoyed his stay in Jamaica working at the famous Mixing Lab and meeting experienced musicians. After many live performances and opening for international acts from Toots and the Maytals to Maxi Priest and Buju Banton, Brent focused again on creating original music. Since 2011, he has been writing, recording and producing under the pseudonym HiFi Champion. He is ready to embark on a new journey and to experiment with raw dub sounds.

Search Add 2 Little Joe Roman William Joel "Taz" DiGregorio William Joel "Taz" DiGregorio (January 8, 1944 – October 12, 2011) was a longtime member and keyboardist for the Charlie Daniels Band. He was born and lived in Southbridge, Massachusetts until 1962 when he went on the road. He was self-taught on the keyboards, practicing from tunes by Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, and Little Richard following his attendance at a Ray Charles concert. He fulfilled his goal of becoming a professional musician, initiating his career with his first band, the group Paul Chaplain and his Emeralds, best known for their minor hit "Shortnin' Bread" (1960). They sold about 250,000 copies of their album in 1959. He was on the album at the age of seventeen and he didn't know a lot about life and music, but he knew 8 chords and he recorded the song, Shortnin' Bread, and it became a hit. By the early 1960s, the group disbanded, leaving DiGregorio to find other gigs which included playing in a lounge band in Florida under the name of Little Joe and the Romans with Bill B. on guitar, Bobby J. on drums, and Ben on bass. They also played at Benny's Rebel Room in Washington, DC and various lounges and clubs in Lexington, Kentucky, Dayton, Ohio and Syracuse, New York. In Lexington, Charlie sat in at the Southland Bowl lounge and, even then was well liked by the audience.

Search Add 2 Raptor Konrad Rock band comes from the city of Hlučín near Ostrava in the Czech Republic. The founding members are Marek Burdzik (Maro, Buňo Vox, Burďas, Buněčný), Andrej Kubelka, Libor Weiss and Vítězslav Jiřík (Viťus). The band´s name devised Marek by intended distortion of the name of the first reeve (Mayor) of Hlučín (from 1303), named Konrad Sriptor. With the birds of prey or a group of dinosaurs has the band nothing in common… The group was established in 2004, when founding members agreed to create their own production. Each member had a more or less experience with playing in different bands, Marek and Andrej from the band Vykořenění (Exterminate), Libor from the band Promile and the Vajcovod, where Viťus used to play as well while the band was established. Before that Viťus acted in formations called the Diamant, the Notabene, the Motor České Třebovice and the legendary band of Ostrava called the Hastr. The basis for their production comes from the original musical ideas (or themes) and texts of some of Marek’s earlier songs, which were identical to Viťus´s taste. Althoug Marek and Viťus grew up in quite a different musical environment, it has appered that their musical sensibilities have many common elements (psychedelic and progressive rock) and therefore first mutual compositions could occur during the years 2005 and 2006. On the songs arranging all band members are working, although usually under Viťus leadership. In 2009 the group joined Karel Kühpast, who previously worked in bands the Ingot, the Golden Dust, the Moravius, the Vajcovod and the Lybar Band to complement the overall sound of the band with the range of six-string bass and helping with recording of the album.

Search Add 2 World Wild Web Manuel Jesus There are few musical projects that can boast of being a meeting place, a crossroad of stories and influences, of creation and play. World Wild Web and its namein the form of a challenge to be taken up with a smile on your face is one of them. Led by the French musician and producer Manuel Jesus, this entity illustrates marvellously a fragmented and hybrid artisticstate of mind, incorporating synthetic and organic sounds, navigating between oblique club music, euphoric pop songs and global psychedelia.

Search Add 2 Вячеслав Селин Slavic Selin Slavic Selin is an internationally recognised music producer, songwriter and guitar player. He started his career at the turn of the millennium when he joined Russian rock band "Arteria". Soon after, he built his first studio offering music production and mixing services. Working with various artists as a producer and engineer, Slavic Selin became recognised among pop and rock artists such as Max Pokrovskiy, OMELA, Arteria, Anatoliy Aleshin, Valeriy Yarushin, Arthur Berkut, Valeriy Kipelov, Anton Belyaev (Therr Maitz), Dmitriy Dobrinin, Epidemia, Forsage etc. In 2008 Slavic finished the recording of his instrumental guitar album "Senses". The album is a result of 5 years creative work alongside different musicians such as Jonathan Mover (Joe Satriani, Alice Cooper, Shakira, The Tubes), Nick Korshunov (Butterfly Temple, Krematoriy, Paul Di'Anno, Blaze Bayley, Kipelov), Sergey Sergeev (Shadow Host, Arteria). The album was released in 2009 when he moved to Cyprus and continued his music career working with local and international artists as a producer. Together with Simon Allen and Andreas Georgallis at City Studios he worked with Hovig, A.M.Sniper (So Solid Crew), Christina Chelepou and many others. Slavic participated as one of the music producers for Reality Talent Show "Performance" by CyBC making over 20 original playbacks for TV competition. In 2014 Slavic has built his own studio in the heart of Cyprus’ beautiful countryside where he continues his work with international and local artists. Slavic's main credo is creativity and creation of original music rather than factory-style production of similar works. Slavic Selin pays a lot of attention to details in sound and music production, aiming for the best possible result every time.

-Miguel Franco
