Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Atomik Destruktor Atomik Destruktor was formed in May 2007. It all started when Turtle, Gibson and Jota, three friends in high school, decided to start a thrash metal band. At the same time Turtle asked his long time friend Pedraça to join the band. With an enormous urge to play old school thrash metal, influenced by great 80s bands such as Destruction, Sodom, Kreator, Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, etc, they started thrashing with Turtle on bass and vocals, Gibson and Pedraça on guitars and Jota on drums. In October of that year, Turtle left the band. That’s when Marco joined the band in to play bass and Paulo Thrasher took over the vocals. Months later, Paulo left the band and Turtle returned as the vocalist. Thus the definitive lineup of Atomik Destruktor was formed, five friends with rage for thrash and rock n’ roll who still to this day have a good time getting high and drunk together. Right from the start they compose original, aggressive and violent music dealing with themes such as thrash and getting wasted, along with social issues, such as war and dissent. In 2008 they played their first concerts. Later that year, they recorded a demo that came out in 2009, entitled “Destroy, Disagree & Disrespect.” The album had 4 songs in K7 format, and was distributed by Luci Dist. Prod. A few months later the demo was released as a CD by Thai label Roots Active Productions. At that time, they were performing in Portugal and composing new songs loaded with aggressiveness, hostility and protest. After some delays, they started recording their first LP in 2011, at Grave Studios and still performing live. The recording took longer than expected due to some setbacks but finally, in early 2015, they will release an album entitled “Unnatural Disorder” with 8 songs that are pure thrash, under the label Helldprod. Their destruction, intoxication and appetite for thrashing continue.

Search Add 2 Rik Clay Richard John Clay Richard John Clay, born 5th August 1982 in Scunthorpe, UK, was a musician, graphic designer, web designer, writer, researcher and charismatic genius whose mission was to bring fairness, abundance and joy to all human beings. At school in Scunthorpe he achieved top grades in nearly everything he did. It was during this time, whilst studying for his “A” levels, that Rik found his passion for music Attending Leeds Metropolitan University from 2001 to 2004, graduating with a 2/1 degree in Multi Media Technology, Rik subsequently went on to work in graphic / web design for a number of companies. At the age of 16 he founded the band FULC, who, over the course of their youthful development went on to become a highly respected rock band. Between the years 2001 and 2005 FULC released 4 records – “Void” EP ( 2001 ), “The Fallen” EP ( 2002 ), “Biting Insomnia” Album ( 2003 ), “Embrace.Destroy” Mini Album ( 2005 ) – all critically acclaimed nationally in the UK Rock Press. FULC toured the UK relentlessly for 4 years and toured Germany in 2005 to support the release of the records there. Rik joined rock band Ten Seconds of Chaos between 2006 and 2007 and started his solo project Somewhere Not Here during 2006. In July 2006 Rik met his life partner Mick Bullock and together they began an escalating campaign of travel and research. He developed interests in a great number of fascinating fields, including crop circles and sacred geometry, Reiki and Shamanism, free energy research, ancient mythology and Pyramidology, the global consciousness and the noosphere, reincarnation theory, 2012 and the Mayans, precession of the equinoxes, talismans, synchronicity, telepathy, holographic universal theory, and all things esoteric. Between September 2006 and May 2008 his journey took him to Spain, Italy, Egypt, Malta, Wales, Poland, The Netherlands, France and Mexico. The extreme wealth of information and wisdom that ensued precipitated the Cosmic Mind Blog, which allowed Rik to spread his knowledge and findings to people all over the world. After 3 months the blog had attracted a regular readership in excess of 30,000 people and his growing popularity led him to give interviews on Red Ice Creations Radio. Sadly for all of us, the sheer speed and intensity of the research eventually caused him to experience a sudden internal episode which stripped away his bounding energy and insight. A day less than 11 weeks later, on 28th August 2008, at the age of 26, Rik ended his own life in Ilkley. Whilst we will never really know what took Rik to his final decision, those closest to him have been able to put together a few pieces of the puzzle that help in understanding where his mind was. Rik’s ashes are scattered upon Ilkley Moor, overlooking the town above Rocky Valley, at grid ref 126464.

Search Add 2 Marilyn Puskarich Marilyn J. "Chee Chee" Puskarich Repasky Marilyn J. “Chee Chee” Puskarich Repasky was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Mildred (Kirasic) Puskarich. She was raised on a farm in Plum Boro, Pennsylvania. The entire Puskarich family was deeply involved in tambura music. All six of the sisters learned to play tambura as children, and two of the sisters are currently in the TAA Hall of Fame. Marilyn was influenced by her sisters Caroline and Rose and followed them into the Duquesne Tamburitzans. Marilyn has used both her experiences as a “Tammie” and the Bachelor’s degree in Education she earned at Duquesne throughout her life. After graduation, Marilyn married John Repasky and this happy union led to three talented children, all lovers of tambura music. All three children – Jennifer, Michael, and Stephen – attended Duquesne University. Jennifer later used her “Tammie” experience to assist Marilyn in directing the Golden Triangle Junior Tamburitzans and son Stephen became a Junior Tamburitzan instructor. Marilyn has shared her love of playing tambura music and dancing kolos with students of all ages for over 30 years. She has directed, danced with and choreographed for innumerable performing groups in both Detroit and in several cities in Pennsylvania. In Detroit, she joined the Detroit Tamburitza Orchestra has both a player and a featured vocalist. In Pennsylvania, Marilyn has served as choreographer and vocal instructor for a series of junior groups, including the Trafford Junior Tamburitzans of Pittsburgh, Rankin Junior Tamburitzans, and Duquesne Junior Tamburitzans. Marilyn’s instruction has emphasized the importance of equipping students with the skills and knowledge they will need on stage and at social functions, but equally importantly, she has provided those under her guidance with a background and awareness of her culture and heritage. Marilyn also shares her talents and knowledge with more mature enthusiasts. For the last 20 years, Marilyn has been the instructor of Pittsburgh’s first adult kolo class. Marilyn is also an accomplished performer. Closest to her heart is her opportunity to sing with Orchestra Veseli. Performing and recording with Veseli has allowed Marilyn to sing with her sister Rose, and work with her brother-in-law Fred Husnick along with Ron Rendulic, all three TAA Hall of Fame members. Other credits include a recording with Orchestra Biseri (Orchestra Biseri featuring Marilyn Repasky), a recording with Orchestra Zabava, an Ensemble Festival recording consisting of Duquesne University Tamburitza alumni, performing with Zvonko Bogdan, Jerry Grcevich, George “Butchy” Kresovich, Chuck Cubelic, and Steve Wagner. Marilyn J. “Chee Chee” Repasky has spent a lifetime promoting, performing and pursuing knowledge of the instrumental and vocal music and dances of the tambura. She has sought only the highest quality in both her personal performance and the performances of those she directs. She has taken her own God-given talent and combined it with an amazing work ethic to create a unique, distinctive sound. She has introduced hundreds of players, singers and dancers to the world of tamburitza music and dance. Marilyn’s influence can be seen in those who are playing and dancing today because of her efforts. Perhaps the most significant are those not learning from Marilyn directly, but instead from her former students who are now directing their own groups of players, singers and dancers. There can be no greater legacy than to have children you taught grow up enjoying those lessons so much that they in turn pass on the knowledge to a new generation.
