Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Killgrip | Killgrip was conceived in mid-2000 when guitarist/songwriter Steve began working with drummer Lauren on starting a heavy yet versatile band. Having a similar musical background, the duo soon began laying down the foundation by writing and arranging a handful of songs that would later make up the bands first studio EP. Shortly thereafter, they began the search for other members to fill the vacant slots. They quickly recruited Ryan to play bass, who added his own brand of heavy low-end thump to the new batch of original material. With Ryan locked in, the search for a vocalist began. At first it was difficult for the trio to discover a singer who matched the style they were looking for. One night in December of 2000, Steve and Lauren happened to meet a vocalist named Chico backstage at a show. After his tryout at the bands rehearsal studio a few days later, Chico was found to be a perfect match with what they had been searching for in a vocalist. After a few short months of the groups conception, the initial Killgrip lineup was officially complete. The quartet soon jumped right into the Boston area club scene in early 2001, playing everywhere they could, striving to have their music reach as many people possible. Killgrip quickly established themselves as a staple band within the local scene, gaining a generous fanbase within a short time. In addition to their busy live schedule, Killgrip went into the Safari Room Studios in Boston with producer/engineer Bill Carr to record their first EP during the summer of 2001. In order to replicate the bands raw live sound, the majority of the songs were tracked live and "off the floor". It contains the first 7 songs written by the band (In a Blink, Power, To Your End, Outcast, My Rage, Ortni, Freedom We Forgot). In late '01, Killgrip hit some downtime after parting ways with their original bassist. They spent the time searching for somebody to fill Ryan's shoes, and found a perfect match with Sean, who had been playing with another Boston-area band at the time. Being extremely creative, Sean rewrote many of the original basslines and added new diversified dimension to the music. Everything soon fell back into place, and Killgrip once again went back to writing new material, which has proven to be more complex and versatile than the original batch of songs found on their self-titled EP. They wasted no time in getting back out into the New England clubs and showcasing the newer songs. Shortly, Killgrip was sharing stages with well known acts such as Kittie, Tree, Unloco, and Clockwise....just to name a few. Late 2002 saw the departure of Killgrip's drummer Lauren, who had been a founding member of the band. However, the split was mutual, and on good terms. It was that time period where the band was reborn with Eman (Chico's brother) taking over behind the drums. His drumming has taken Killgrip's music to an entirely new level, with the original songs having a totally new heavier sound and feel to them. Newer songs not contained on the self-titled EP such as "Kicked Out The Closing Door", "Running Wild", and "Strength of Souls" also have that new brand of diversified musical influence found throughout them. The band is currently tearing through the New England music scene leaving no stone unturned. With all members of Killgrip having a wide variety of influences lying in the genres of metal, r&b;, country, rap, hip-hop, rock, pop, and classical music, there's no telling what will happen next... | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Muscatine Elks Chanters | As part of the fraternal organization “The Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks”, the group was started in 1946 as the “Men of Note”, organized by Elks club member “Jack” Spratt, and later grew under the direction of [a7833158] to perform in decades of music programs for both local and national audiences. The Muscatine Elks Chanters included a variety of local professionals, including farmers, researchers, chemists, lawyers, engineers, and businessmen. Over the years, the group performed with instrumentalists, ‘big bands’, and their own quartet – “The Notables”. Their performances included a variety of themes and musical genres, including annual Christmas concerts. The last Chanters concert was held in June 2012. The group's popularity and prowess was recalled in an online article from 2018 by [a1823181], whose father led The Chanters for over 50 years: "In the fifties, they entered the national Elks chorus competition and won, beating men’s choruses from the biggest cities in America. The next year they won again. The year after that they won yet again, although other choruses tried to block them, claiming the Muscatine outfit was clearly professional. They weren’t, but after that year, the competition was ended and the Chanters were made the permanent national champs." | |

A cult album that has been in the making since 2013, by a group that only existed for 33 months between 2011 and 2014, recording and self-publishing a total of 16 songs, now released by Acuarela on conveniently mastered double vinyl. A timeless time capsule with influences from Guided By Voices, TV Personalities, The Pastels, Hood, Microphones or Sebadoh and versions of Eric's Trip and Beck. All sung in a fantastic science-fiction Spanish. Admittedly obsessed with Phil Elverum and especially with the documentary "Wise old little boy" about the tour he did with Kyle Field (Little Wings), Teletransportarse a Soria they give us an album that has been tested day by day since its conception. 16 songs resurrected thanks to the enthusiasm of the label, the musicians and the final master, all of them like the plaster injected into the holes of the bodies found among the ashes of Pompeii. ☞ But also, since 2024 Teletransportarse a Soria are a trio and they are active again. Dirty Edge was a metamorphosis of another band called Kardus TV (late 1994), which used to sing songs of old punk bands including Rancid, Social Distortion and Bad Religion. Kardus TV consisted of four members: Coki ‘holiday’ Manurung (vocal), Fucky (Guitar), Rodrigo Pasaribu (Bass) and Jamaludin Malik (Drum). According to Coki, there was a disagreement over the band’s name but then he unintentionally mentioned the term ‘Kardus TV’. To everyone’s surprise, all team members agreed to make Kardus TV as their band’s name. While Kardus TV slowly built their reputation as punk band in domestic musical events, the bassist player, Rodrigo has told the current lead vocal, Coki to break up Kardus TV and form a new one. Rodrigo hoped that this new band, which played much faster style of music, would be a more serious project than Kardus TV. Rodrigo proposed Dirty Edge as the name of their prospective band. The name ‘Dirty Edge’ was a reflection of political situation in the late 1990s in which most politicians who claimed to be clean and honest in fact were hypocrites, turning a blind eye to pervasive corruption and gross violation of human rights in Indonesia. Dirty Edge is then considered to be a number of young people who choose to be on the dirty side of life, sharing similar perspective with those who are aware of all the problems around us. Through music, Dirty Edge aims to strenghten their sense of humanity and enrich their understanding of life. Although Coki initially disagreed with Rodrigo to form a new band, he soon became enthutiastic once he understood the bigger picture of the philosophy and musical concept offered by Rodrigo. Furthermore, in this new band, Rodrigo expected that they would write their own songs as well as performed songs from other famous bands. With a new concept in their head, they began to find musicians who were aptly equipped for their new concept of music. Rodrigo later introduced, a massive fan of Jimi Hendrix, Hermes Gurning to Coki. Hermes guitar skill, sound knowledge and a breadth knowledge of music impressed Coki. Prior to this, Hermes was involved in several bands and played a huge range of music, from Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Megadeth, NOFX and U2. While Hermes took position as a guitarist, Jamaludin Malik (1995-97) featured as a drummer. Once the band was formed, it did not take a long time for Dirty Edge to perform. An underground music festival Hullaballoo III which took place in Bandung, 1996, provided a glorious opportunity for the newly born Dirty Edge to play their music. From that moment, nearly every week Dirty Edge was playing in various musical events. In most event, Dirty Edge was always playing songs from a hardcore German band, Ryker. This soon made people tag Dirty Edge as Indonesian version of Ryker. However, occasionally Dirty Edge played some softer songs such as those of Social Distortion. This once bewildered comittee members of a musical event in Jakarta when they sang Making Believe from Social Distortion. One of the band’s member Rodrigo actually protested against the idea of playing a rather soft songs but since he was outnumbered during the discussion, he followed the majority. Like stories of many bands that changed their members, Dirty Edge was no exception. Jamaludin Malik, the drummer decided to leave Dirty Edge. Soon the band found Malik replacement through Rodrigo’s brother reference. In 1997, Ovie Alaydrus joined the band. For Dirty Edge, the arrival of Ovie was warmly welcomed due to his fantastic drumming skill. Alaydrus’ technic succeeded to impress Hermes. In 1998, Dirty Edge resumed their work on recording an album. However, during its process, Hermes died of drug-related cause. Hermes dead was a major blow for Dirty Edge and resulted in disorientation amongst its member. Despite constant reminder from his friends about the harmful effect of drugs, Hermes’ habit of consuming drugs went on unfettered. Following the death of Hermes, Dirty Edge was no longer active as a band. However, the remaining members of the band managed to keep in contact. With moral boost from Rigo and other fellow musicians, the other members recovered from their grief and loss and agreed to work on the band. They recruited Fucky (1997-98) to fill the position as guitarist. For a while, this formation worked well until a fundamental difference in music between Fucky and other members became a hurdle. Fucky left the band and another guitarist Al Syawal filled the guitarist position for a short period of time. Before too long, Rigo’s brother Rowland (1998-2000) was recruited as guitarist for Dirty Edge. Initially Rigo disagreed with the idea of having Rowland in the band. But Coki convinced him that Rowland could fit in the band. While the arrival of Rowland partly solved the band’s crisis, the departure of a long member of the band and talented drummer, Ovie, added another layer to the problem. Through their social network, they found Ovie’s replacement, Feisal Al Izlami (1998-2010). With this new formation, Coki (lead vocal), Rigo (bass), Rowland (guitar) and Feisal Al Izlami (drum), Dirty Edge succeeded in recording their first album called Enter The Zone. Influence U! | Search | Add | 2 | Jonas Lyskjær Frølund | Swedish clarinetist. Jonas Frølund’s formal musical education began in Copenhagen with John Kruse as his principal teacher. An international prizewinner, he moved on from the Royal Danish Academy of Music (DKDM) to the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP) with Pascal Moragues and Philippe Berrod as his principal teachers, graduating with flying colours in Paris 2022. Jonas Frølund’s repertoire includes everything from the late 1700s till today – he is equally fond of solo work, chamber music and concertos and is busy exploring these fields as an active and sought-after musician as well as an inventive first-mover and back-stage worker, notably as co-founder and member of the rising Copenhagen-based international wind quintet and concert organiser V Coloris. He is principal clarinet and board member in The Danish Chamber Orchestra, a perfect match for him both artistically and in matters of values and standards. Already in his student years he worked as an interim group leader in the Malmö Symphony Orchestra – an experience that proved highly rewarding but paradoxically also helped him settle for a rising career as an artist-entrepreneur with goals other than mainly playing in opera and symphony orchestras (which he is very skilled at, actually). His brilliant technique is matched by an inquisitive and inventive mind, and it is only natural that on one hand he inspires contemporary composers to write challenging new stuff for him while on the other he will dive into the sea of music older than the clarinet as an instrument to find pieces that might fit his concert activities and widen his circle of musical partners. His acute ear and lively spirit allow him to also explore the world of improvisation and jamming; a precise and structured approach to music and to life serves him well as a budding organiser of practical music-making such as festivals and events, etc. SOLO ALONE AND MORE is the first album to present Jonas Frølund the clarinet virtuoso, the musician and indeed the programme editor who aims to take the listener on an hour-long musical journey. A notable chamber music recording is the Ruders album issued by OUR Recordings in 2022, and in May 2023 Dacapo released a Mette Nielsen portrait album, Frozen Moments, comprising among other works three chamber music pieces from 2021, Alone, Together, and Apart, closely related and in the first two instances written for and played by Jonas Frølund. As an orchestral clarinet leader he can be heard in the Naxos box of the Brahms symphonies released by The Danish Chamber Orchestra in 2022; 2020 saw the appearance of an independent Dinu Lipatti release from V Coloris, who in 2023 even released a single of Bartók’s Six Romanian Folk Dances in their own arrangements. Two videos of Jonas Frølund performing Gunnar Berg’s Pour clarinette seule I and II in a unique Jutland setting of landscape, architecture and modern art are offered by the Edition Svitser YouTube channel (2023). | |

| Search | Add | 2 | King Mellowman | Earl "King Mellowman" Clarke | Earl "King Mellowman" Clarke was born in Detroit Michigan and has been into music for as long as he can remember. The first people to recognize this musical child prodigy were his parents, Dolores M. Prophet, former alto and lead soloist for the Lucille Lemon Gospel Chorus, and Cyril L. Clarke. His father was the originator of two outstanding male singing groups, The Majestics and the Contours. "King Mellowman" is a multi-talented, superbly accomplished musician whose musical versatility goes well beyond his chronological years. If you ask him what his preference is, he will surely respond that his heart and soul is overtaken by Reggae and Calypso sounds. He is also accomplished on several musical instruments such as piano, guitar, bass, drums and a range of others. While he displays a magnificent vocal range, he has never been formally trained in music theory or vocal composition. According to his parents, "he was singing before he was talking." King Mellowman has performed with a number of bands in and around the City of Detroit; among these are O.C Roberts & The Samaritans, Inventive Source, The King David Posse, Ako-Ben, Bandulu, Unit Ten, Level Vibes, Tropical Connection, The Detroit All-star Reggae band, The Nomads, The Basiks(Original reggae band he founded),Ras Kente and The Take No Prisoner Posse, Island Heat, Jonab, Trinidad Tripoli Steel Band, The Roots Renegades, The Ryddim Posse, Uprizin Band, Reggae Ambassadors, Roots Vibrations, The Dynamics Which is an Old School R&B Group, The Saints Old School R&B, Universal Xpression and most recently King Mellowman & Mellow Runnings(Which he also founded as his backing band). He has been acknowledged by his peers as the one African-American musical talent who lifted Reggae and Calypso music to the level of recognition and appreciation that it experiences today in the Detroit metro area. It has been said that as a solo artist King Mellowman is responsible for putting this form of music on the map in Detroit. He has performed as an opening act for such luminaries as: EEK-A-Mouse, Sister Carol, Junior Ried, Ken Boothe, Gregory Issacs, Mutabaruka,(The Dub Poet), Arrow (Soca King), Shabba Ranks, He has played drums for Sugar Minott, Leroy Gibbons, and Leroy Sibbles and has played keyboards for singing sensation Anthony Malvo and "The Godfather of Dancehall Reggae" U-Roy. Mellow has also had a candid interview with "The King of Dancehall Reggae" Winston (King Yellowman) Foster who is his idol and with whom he hopes to record with soon. He has contributed to studio performances for reggae sensation Frankie Paul, Josey Wales, Horace Andy, Sassafras, and Derrick Irie. Rap Group A.W.O.L. has also had their achievements in the studio enhanced by the assistance of Mellow. He has also collaborated with the Mighty Sparrow and was a backup performer for Calypso Rose. King Mellowman is a three time Metro Times Award winner. A five time Source Award winner, an a two time Detroit Music Award Nominee. King Mellowman has now formed a band called "Mellow Runnings" which consists of seasoned veterans such as: Mike "Drummy" FriedmanDrums, Eric "Bassie" Mcnary Bass, Diana "Lady D" Mcnary Rhythm & Lead Keyboards/Background Vocals,Tim a.k.a Ten "The Tenth Wonder Of The World" Rhythm & Lead Keyboards, Akil a.k.a "A.K."Rhythm & Lead Guitar/Frontground Vocals, Cathy "Let's Do This" Wright Background Vocals, and last but not least Shirley "Ola" Mason Background Vocals Mellow also features other singers such as "Queen Nosha." Now King Mellowman along with Mellow Runnings are ready to show the world that even though the runnings now a days are hard and tough, the music that King Mellowman & Mellow Runnings display can really make the "Runnings" smoothe and "Mellow". |

| Search | Add | 2 | Rocky Mountain Oysterz | Psychedelic R´n´R Hodonín, Czech Republic About The Psychedelic R'n'R Band - Viva La Psychedelica The Rocky Mountain Oysters project was created in September 2012 on the basis of an agreement between musicians and teammates previously working in Princess Of The Dawn (1998-2001). The band cites the city of Pripyat as its starting point, near the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant. It is a targeted mystification that highlights the post-communist Eastern bloc with its current problems related to the recent past, as well as the demagogic practices of totalitarian regimes, of which Chernobyl is a symbol. The work of RMO is influenced mainly by psychedelic rock, but of course it is possible to find traces of many other musical elements and genres. It also deals with the essence and spirituality of man, which is not excluded with a dense sound. Exactly opposite. After all, come, listen and judge for yourself. You are welcome. Viva La Psychedelica. RMO | |
