Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Steve Adorno Steve Adorno Steve Adorno aka/ Stevie Beatz Adorno Producer,Composer,Keyboards, Drums,VOCALS Funk-Rock-Latin-Soul…Steve is a natural born musician. When he’s working his magic on his first instrument, the drums, Steve instinctively knows how to lay it in the pocket. His solid Bronx backbeat has powered several name acts such as Sara Dash of "La Belle" ,Disco diva Carol Williams, Gospel Queen Linda Hopkins, Fly to France aka/ Blue Rodeo and Kid Creole and the Coconuts. In 1980, Steve joined Arista recording artist G.Q., whose three 1 hit singles include the now classic dance hit “Disco Nights.” Steve received both gold and platinum albums for his work with G.Q. Extensive world touring has brought him to many large venues such as Soldiers Field in Chicago, Cobo Arena in Detroit, Giant Stadium in New Jersey, Madison Square Garden in NYC, and The Winter Splash Music Festival on the island of Jamaica. During that time he shared the stage with many popular acts including Kool and the Gang, The Isley Brothers, Natalie Cole, and Phyllis Hyman. Steve is also a multi-talented songwriter/producer who possesses an amazing musical insight that constantly inspires other musicians. As a songwriter with an arsenal of songs to his credit, Steve is an endless source of creativity who has written in virtually every genre of music. He scored the music for the popular Nintendo 64 game “Major League Baseball with Ken Griffey Jr.” Steve also recently completed the musical score for the Off-Broadway play “RUS-H” which opened to rave reviews in NYC. In 2010 Steve wrote the score for the off broadway play “TOUCHSCAPE”. His instincts, hard work, and constant energy have facilitated many musical projects throughout his career including Devoshun, Steve A’s Blockparty, Street Child, and Lori Rose and the Rocketeers. It was Steve’s intuitive vision that facilitated the recent return of SEGUIDA to the spotlight. Steve is a true champion of New York Latin Rock, and he is the heart of the rebirth of SEGUIDA.

Search Add 3 Caxton Street Jazz Band The Caxton Street Jazz Band in a jazz band from Brisbane, Australia. It was founded in Brisbane's inner west in 1977 and is today recognised both locally and internationally as one of Australia’s leading jazz bands. Now in its 40th year, the band presents hot, swinging jazz in a manner that elicits enthusiastic responses from listening and dancing audiences alike. Members of the band include some of Australia’s leading jazz players in their idiom, as well as two instrumentalists who are also vocalists. The band’s name derives from the location of its first venue, the Baroona Hall in Caxton St, Brisbane. The band rose to prominence in the ‘80s through its long running stint at the famous “Jazz ‘N Jug” sessions at Brisbane’s Caxton Hotel, as well as numerous appearances in this period at Australian Jazz Conventions and other Festivals. The band rose to prominence in the 80s thanks to its 11 year stint at the Jazz ‘n Jug sessions at the Caxton Hotel. These commenced in March ’81 and continued every Saturday until 1992 when the band split, although Bob Mair (drums) and Bernice Haydock (piano) took over the band name from that time. The band’s premier years in the 80s were probably 1981-4, when it became well-rehearsed, and popular with its repertoire of a blend of serious jazz and novelty numbers (the band played a total of 183 gigs in the year July 1981 to June 1982!). In the mid-80s, some of the longer term members left and were replaced by others who in turn moved on after a few years. The band then enjoyed stability in its lineup into the early 90s, but then a variety of players were used to make up the numbers into 1992. Naturally enough the personnel has changed a number of times over the years, although five of the current 6 members have been together since 2001. This recent continuity of players has contributed to the band’s reputation for being “tight and hot”.

Search Add 3 Una Keane Úna Keane Ambient Neoclassical Pianist / Composer Úna Keane mines deep. A classically trained pianist with a background in Tech, her work lives + breathes in a unique, multi-disciplinary space incorporating piano, electronics, movement & film. The Dubliner released critically-acclaimed Live Album 'Collaborations' at the end of 2020. Named Irish Album of the Year by Broadsheet.ie, it garnered a glowing 8.5/10 review from Hot Press and 4 stars from The Irish Times. It features work from her last 2 LPs, as well as some new work and in-the-flow improv. She played a headline show at Dublin's Pepper Canister Church on March 5th 2020 (a week before lockdown), and was joined on the night by some very special guests: Stephen Shannon, Liam Ó'Maonlaí, Lōwli, Gareth Quinn Redmond & Ronán Conroy. What ensued was a lot of improv ("unforgettable ... improvisation of the highest calibre" - Broadsheet.ie), between musicians playing with one another mostly for the first time. The concert was recorded, mixed and mastered by Adam KJ, and Úna & Adam co-produced. In June 2021 she founded UKM, a record label, and a Limited Edition Vinyl Pressing of ‘Collaborations’ is now available.

Search Add 3 PsychoBliss PsychoBliss started out as an one-man project founded by Dan Stollings in 2008. He self-produced a demo with atmospheric death metal / hardcore songs featuring local Chicago/Milwaukee musicians. PsychoBliss became a duo after Dan Stollings' wife, Kyla Pavelski, joined as a full time vocalist in 2012. In this formula they recorded and self-produced the "Dreams Of Dystopia" EP which also marked a change in the musical style, now gothic / atmospheric dark metal with some black metal elements. At the end of 2013 Ryan Neeland joined as bass player, then Ian Durand on guitars, followed by Michael Mistretta as drummer in January 2014. In February 2014 the band changed its name to [a4146084].

Search Add 3 Lapel Trying to find just the right moniker for her new synth-pop outfit, Debbie Neigher was inspired by a 1977 interview with author and actress Margaret Trudeau. When asked about her previous marriage to the Prime Minister of Canada, Trudeau famously responded: “I want to be more than a rose in my husband’s lapel.” This moment—and the name Lapel—boldly underscore the ethos of Neigher’s new project: “I love that quote. It’s about feminism. It’s about not wanting to be defined by someone else. Trudeau went on to have a significant impact as a mental-health advocate, too. She was an incredible woman.” A former social worker and music teacher who spent her days supporting homeless youth, and her nights as a keyboardist and backup singer for more than a dozen bands including Ezra Furman, The Family Crest and Curls (with Christopher Owens of the band Girls), Debbie Neigher is a seasoned veteran of the San Francisco Bay scene. Search Add 3 One Lifeless Eye James McCrea One Lifeless Eye is the audio counterpart to the visual art of James McCrea. Each piece of music is a distinct narrative, the basic audio lexicon for which was developed through two year's worth of experimentation beginning with an unnamed demo recording in 2003 and culminating in the release of Shattered, under the name Narcotic Dreams, in 2005. The name Narcotic Dreams was dropped in lieu of One Lifeless Eye in 2007 when the project became more focused on nightmare visions and personal occurrences, with more emphasis on composition than experimentation. Live performances are automatic, using very little pre-conceived musical parts though still utilizing the basic lexicon used in the audio recordings. With each piece of music, whether created spontaneously during a live performance or meticulously arranged over time, there is always distinct imagery driving the formation of each sound. Enough space is left for the listener to interpret the events as they may, though the emotions at the core are often absolute.

In the late 1970's Asbjørn Hollund and Roar Nordhagen joined, and the group changed name to To+To+To. For their recording debut three years later, they changed the name to 2+2+2 ("To" is Norwegian for the number 2, but the record company felt that spelling it with digits would be more "marketable"). Two years after that, Elisabeth Nordhagen left the group to focus on her family, and Tom Sennerud and Rune Rudberg joined the group. Search Add 3 Государственная Хоровая Капелла Марийской АССР The choir chapel was created in December 1933 by a young but famous composer [a=Алексей Искандаров], who had just graduated from the [l=Moscow Conservatory] and returned to Yoshkar-Ola. It included 24 professional performers of folk songs and works by Mari composers. In 1939, on the basis of the chapel, the "Song and Dance Ensemble of the Mari ASSR" was founded, which actually could be considered the closure, but not the termination of the choir's activities. Aleksey Iskandarovich remained the artistic director and chief conductor of the new group until December 1954, when it became difficult to act as the head of the group and at the same time chairman of the Union of Composers. After 40 years, in 1979, the Choir Chapel was re-established at the Margosphilarmonic Society, which included members of the choral group of the Song and Dance Ensemble. In 1994, the chapel was given the name of the first head, and it became known as the Mari State Chapel named after A. I. Iskandarov.

Struggling against the stereotypes in music KROVJ S MOLOKOM made a try to unify all basic trends in the contemporary electronic music. Ambient, dub, trip-hop, minimal techno and microwave get the shade of rite and mysticism. There is a special attitude to the nature of sound in the works of KROVJ S MOLOKOM. Structure of music has selforganizing forms here. The only album of the duet was released in 2000 (Fulldozer Records). The last gig of KROVJ S MOLOKOM took place in autumn 2002 at the festival LandSchaft-2 where the duet performed on the same stage with BAD SECTOR and TROUM.
