Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Kim Imber Kim is a songwriter and poet from the North East Coast of Tasmania, Australia. He's been writing and performing his songs for close to 20 years and has developed a strong underground following. He describes his musical style as roots/surf/folk/rock and as “poetry in song”. He performs with acoustic guitar and harmonica. Recently Kim Imber's new album, CLIMAGEDDON was recently nominated in The Australian Roots Music Awards for Best Album and Best Protest Song. Kim has written a plethora of songs on many different subjects. These range from the political to the philosophical, environmental, the satirical, and just good fun rock - sometimes with a bit a punk but always with passion. (from the JJJ web link)

Apparently Miravie does, and they think he's so cool they decided to name the band after him. That may sound unusual, but Miravie is an unusual band. Originally formed out of a shared alien abduction experience amongst longtime friends and now bandmates, Miravie has been back on Earth for quite some time and has channeled their celestial experiences into an eclectic debut CD Concubine, released on North East Indie Records. While the combination of individual styles and influences makes it difficult to pigeonhole their music into any particular genre, they have often been compared to Incubus or an "edgy" 311..."

Search Add 2 Young Francis Hi Fi Young Francis Hi Fi is a Bubblegum Punk band from Brighton, England. "We play two minute songs about girls, getting high and hanging out. We live by the beach and we love the sunshine, bubblegum and falling in love. We also love punk and denim and getting fu**ed up. We grew up wanting to be in a gang, like all our favourite bands. We dress in the Hi Fi uniform, but we’re all different. Young Francis is the leader of the pack, Jimi is the sun who shines on us all, Danny Joe has a heart of gold and Bobby binds us together. We have a studio near the beach called The Bubblegum Basement, where we write and hang out and daydream, and where we make the razor sharp sound of the Hi Fi. We signed with Dirty Water Records in the dressing room right after a show. We made our record “The Young Generation” at Toe Rag Studios in London, with Liam Watson (White Stripes and more). Our record is music for dancing and for romancing, with 4 on the floor, handclaps, soaring solos and a singalong sound. Almost every song is a true story, but Julia isn’t really called Julia. We love 60’s Bubblegum and 70’s Punk. We love Garage Rock and Power Pop. So go ahead - DANCE. SHOUT. MAKE OUT!" - Young Francis, August 2023. Young Francis - Vox + Guitar + Tambourine Jimi Dymond - Guitar + Back Ups Bobby Herz - Bass Danny Joe Handsome - Drums
