Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024

Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 ooooooo oooOooo, is a surrealistic and organic sonic expression, based on layers of sound with recited poetry in sonic solve et coagula operation. Growing from a Hurdy Gurdy base and other hand-made instruments, oooOooo uses Drone and Noise, with Ritualistic Folk touches and poetic evocations, to create a sonic mass that lead us to the grandiose and austere northern mountains. Two compelling works in perfect symbiosis between the evocation of long gone times full of tradition and the more contemporaneous experimental sonic exploration.

Search Add 2 Scary Little Friends Scary Little Friends is the rock brainchild of Chris Jones with Charlie Knote on drums and Jon Payne on bass. Chris built his own studio in the Mission district to record their debut album, “From the Beginning”, which featured lilting vocals (ala Jeff Buckley) and surfs-up psychedelic guitar, creating their own version of the “San Francisco Sound” with underlying southern soul roots. Strong songwriting is really the bread and butter of this band. Scary Little Friend’s live shows combine an understated professionalism with raw talent. They connect with their audience the old-fashioned way by offering authentic heartfelt performances that fulfill our desire to connect. No gimmicks or tricks, just great songs about what you were thinking but couldn’t say. Since forming in early 2013, the band has quickly risen in the ranks of the Bay Area music scene and was nominated “Band of the Month” by Deli Magazine SF (August 2014). In September of that same year their music video for “Devil’s Heart” debuted on CMT’s ‘The Edge’. They have been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle and Relix Magazine. They made a strong showing in their first year of playing festivals (2015), appearing at Phono del Sol, Whole Earth, Mateel Summer Arts & Music, VertigoFest and Davis Music. They’ve been featured at renowned Bay Area venues such as the Great American Music Hall, Chapel, Brick & Mortar Music Hall, Bottom of the Hill in SF, Rio Theatre, Moe’s Alley, Kuumbwa Jazz, Don Quixote’s in Santa Cruz and Leo’s Music Club, Harlow’s, HopMonk Tavern, Miners Foundry, Live at Lagunitas, plus Grateful Dead hubs Terrapin Crossroads and Sweetwater Music Hall. They have shared the stage with national touring acts Norah Jones, Delta Spirit, Boy & Bear, Chuck Prophet, Hey Rosetta!, The Dig, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, Streets of Laredo, Soft White Sixties, Achilles Wheel, Caravan Palace, Stone Foxes, Jimbo Mathus, Baptist Generals, Debauche, Jail Weddings, as well as the local up-and-coming Coffis Brothers and Terrapin Crossroads staple Midnight North.

Search Add 2 Sev Nivek Sev Nivek Bubbles On The Air founder, dj and producer, and music lover all rolled into one, Elekha works really hard in what he loves and it’s represented in the present of Bubbles On The Air where he has been working on during the last years. He was born in the 80s in Buenos Aires, Argentina and he grew up listening to the classic pop, house and techno music that represented the decade. When he was 17 he decided to start playing music for private parties and local clubs and for his 18s he was right working on his first residence at a club in the city’s downtown. After working on a local radio show in 2007, for the beginning of 2008 he joined Nika Demio to start a new project called Bubbles On The Air, an international radio show presenting the most relevant djs/producers of house and techno music scene. Mourece joined Bubbles’ staff in the late 2008 and, since then, this project grew up and began an online podcast/radio station including different channels from the best labels and companies dedicated to house and techno music. Nowadays he is submerged in music production and Bubbles On The Air’s label creation for what he is working on his solo house project called Sev Nivek taking inspiration on Chicago House, Hip-House and Disco music mixed into a Tech-House groove. House rhythms, black vocals and vintage keys are they main stuff for his new sounds. 2011 is a really important year for Elekha, many new challenges are coming to his life and he will surely resolve them with the calm, simplicity and quality that characterize him.

Search Add 2 Deathtomusic Just before terrorists struck the American homeland, Deathtomusic recorded its first demo cd. At all that time they were still severely hindered by musical stupidity, caused by certain doubtful elements; finally rid of this, their music was able to ripen. Only one important thing missing was: a vocalist. After several attempts to find a singer, the choice fell on the bass player, which was not surprising after all, since he had sang already in noise organisation NEE!. Way back in the nineties, for a short period Hollands most extreme noise band. Due to this input the songs became more violent, although Deathtomusic keep on saying that they are very warm and caring people. One day they decided to record their material in the same way that they rehearse. The result: anti-music with no compromise whatsoever and a new album called "We come in peace". At this moment, while you are reading this, Deathtomusic are trying to master their concept and already preparing their next project, despite total rejection from every underground scene everywhere. Hoever, D.T.M. will continue to annoy people with their music. The fact remains that D.T.M. are rich enough to keep on recording for the next five decades. Whats more: they will record. The concept of Deathtomusic is by the letters: Robbert & Hugo And the number: Dennis So, bearing this in mind even you can contact Deathtomusic Band not active anymore after short reunion in 2015. Some New tunes are finished though.

Cheramie, Carroll Boudreaux, and Johnny Bonvillain. Billy served 4 1/2 years in the army and after his discharge, he played with "The Stokes," who first recorded "Whipped Cream" written by Allen Toussaint, which later became a big hit for Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass. He also spent some time in Killeen, Texas in Ike & Tina Turner's band. Billy also recorded "Yuka Chuka Tee Ta Ta" on the Tower Record label under the name of K. C Russell. In early 1971, Billy played at the Cellar Club in Gretna with Mel Douglas, Carmen Vaccaro, and C.J. Cheramie. Then in July of 1971, Billy opened The Round Table with the "New Orleans Levee Board" whose original members were C.J. Cheramie, Sidney Snow, Barabara Galle, and Billy. Later Sidney was replaced by Danny Hebert. Also during 1973, 74 & 75 Billy and Tracey Charles were owners and general managers of the Gretna Bengals, a semi-pro football team. In 1976, Billy opened the Fat Cat Club on Gretna Boulevard. The Celebrity Club was opened in 1988, with Billy, Danny Hebert, Walter Barrilleaux, Steve Marco, and Judy & Sheena Anderson. Then in 1991, Billy crossed the river to Bourbon Street and opened Jelly Rom's with his big band. While Al Hirt was performing upstairs, Allen Robinson, Doc Paulin, Ronnie Boudreaux, A.J. Pittman, Snakebite, Ray Shall, Steve Adams, Lenny McDaniel, Danny Hebert, and Billy, rocked downstairs.

Search Add 2 Bells Echo Bells Echo Bells Echo is an indieband from Copenhagen, formed in 2011. Drawing on inspiration from the alternative rock of the 90s and 00s, their melodic indie rock comes out with an impressive wide sound and melodies filled with intensity. The music is influenced by artists such as The Shins, Real Estate, Fleet Foxes and Red House Painters. With personal lyrics that transforms everyday life, the music is created by simple guitar melodies entangled in a web of ethereal keyboard sound, three-part (harmony) vocals and bombastic drums. The band’s purpose is to enhance the melody and create recognisable themes, so the audience can lean back and simply enjoy the spherical universe Having toured the venues of Copenhagen excessively for the past years, the band sought refuge in the studio to record their debut album I Can See Your Bike From Here. After finishing recording the album, the songs were sent to mastering at Doug Van Sloan in the US. He has previously worked with Bright Eyes, She & Him, Tokyo Police Club and First Aid Kit. The ten songs that make up the debut album has been written over a period of 7 years (it started off as a solo project for singer Jens Rose Kongstad). The first single “Jump Off The Page” proves that fans of Fleet Foxes and Band Of Horses can look forward to a Danish band with huge potential.
