Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 The Tom Bosley Experience Peter Lewis, Sean Murgatroyd Two old friends whiling away weekend afternoons creating and mutating pop songs. Our influences include Pink Floyd, Wendyhouse, Butthole Surfers, The Orb, Regurgitator and Ween. Our sources of inspiration include bus tickets being inserted in the hats of senior citizens, the imminent meltdown of the United States of America and William S. Burroughs (with, or without a bus ticket inserted in his hat). Our music has evolved into a melodic-pop influenced ambient sound with an experimental outlook, increasingly loungy undertones and a taste for weird and amusing samples.

Search Add 3 Kavaro Owner of Sector Music and founder of Sector Cologne in 2013. Residing in Cologne, Kavaro is an exile from Leipzig. He has succumbed to his love of electronic music by the late 80s. In the early ’90s he lived in Munich where he became a bona-fide vinyl junkie, inspired by the local Techno community (Technomania, Ultraschall, Optimal Recordstore). After a few years’ hiatus and a relocation to Cologne, he reentered the scene in 2009. During his all-vinyl sets, always marked by a great variety styles, one can feel the inspiration he receives from Detroit Techno, Electro and New School Techno. His sets are usually a mixture of older tracks and newest tracks from the latest techno releases. Lately his dj sets are also affected from subtle industrial and experimental electronic music. From the beginning of 2013 Kavaro started his own techno event series named Sector in Cologne. In addition to the event he started Sector Music with his first own EP in July 2017.

Search Add 3 The Fourtune-Tellers The Fourtune-Tellers formed 2006 in Stockholm when Andreas Jonsson and Mathias Westerlund joined forces and rented a rehearsal studio for themselves. Andreas took care of the drums while Mathias played guitar and discussions begun on what to name the band, and also what musicians to recruit for the band. They settled quickly for The Fourtune-Tellers and soon Kari Harström was recruited to play drums, and Andreas picked up the 2nd guitar and took care about the vocals. Old time friend Nicklas Olsson, living in Gothenburg but with plans on moving to Stockholm, was invited to play bass guitar. But awaiting Nicklas move, the band had to find a temporary bass player. Soon they asked Peter Rosén from The Moving Sounds to step in, which he did. After the second rehearsal Peter, very inspired and dedicated, asked the other members, "So, what's the plan, am I in or not?". Since Nicklas move seemed to be more talk than action, it was decided that Peter got the job permanently. Their debut EP Voodoo Girl was recorded at Göran Thungströms studio in Sundsvall, Sweden over an weekend, and released on copaseDisques in 2007. The band did several successful drunken gigs all around Europe, playing their own brand of sloppy and energetic neo garage punk. The follow up EP Don't Tell Me The Words was recorded at Real Studio by Per Ängkvist and released on copaseDisques in 2009. Soon after Kari left the band and drummer boy Handsome Hank Högberg joined forces. After a few years also Peter decided to leave the group, feeling being member of two bands was a bit too much and wanted more time for cycling. He played his last gig at Bassy in Berlin 13 February 2010, and was the same night offered a gig with The Fuzztones. Being determined to spend more time on cycling he turned down the offer much to Rudi's disappointment. Either way, the gig was a success and he went out with a BOOM! In came wonder kid Pontus Söderberg, a young man who brought new blood to the group. The sound became somewhat refined, but still keeping the punky edge. The band continued with successful and drunken sprees around Europe, and soon recorded Storm, a song penned by Jens Lindberg and given to the band exclusively. The band had met label mates The X-Ray Harpoons at Summer Safari in Halle, and soon after decided to release a split single, and Storm ended up on The Fourtune-Tellers side. It was released in 2011. In the spring 2012 the band brought in Johan Ullman on Farfisa organ. New recordings took place and the band made a fantastic gig at the PsychWard Club, Oslo, May 5th, which was to be the only live gig Johan played with the band. A month later the band travelled to Moscow for a gig, but Johan was left at home due to troubles getting the visa. It was a chaotic gig, although it went down well the band was sort of exhausted. In august 2012, due to different circumstances, Pontus felt it was time to move on to other projects, and the band went on hiatus. A gig was scheduled at Landet, Stockholm, March 16th 2013. But the gig was cancelled. The year 1986 finds Manu as the guitarist of a famous Romanian rock band, playing on the most important stage of the nation, in front of a delirious crowd. Another defining moment is the year 1988, when he buys his first. Fender Stratocaster guitar - this is the beginning of Manu's love for Fender guitars. He spent the following years touring Romania with the biggest rock bands of the moment, and even with a blues band of which he has fond memories. During those years he discovered and honed his compositional abilities, the result consisting in over 10 albums for which he wrote the music. These albums appeared on the market mostly under the name of the bands of which he was part at the time, but there were also a few that he composed for well-known solo artists from Romania.

Search Add 3 N. Patrick Williams Conneaut, Ohio 1967-68 Hailing from the community of Conneaut, at the very northeast corner of Ohio on Lake Erie, N. Patrick Williams didn't really have the people and resources to create a teen band scene, so he became a full on DIY mastermind who wrote, sang, produced, and released some excellent and unique garage rock 45s in 1968. On his first 45, recorded early in 1968, he hooked with a short lived band from Conneaut called the Inner Prism and recorded "Bad Seed", an intense tale of debauchery brought on by a cheating girlfriend, with the classic shout out "All right man, here's my life!". Williams put together a second recording session a few months later, using a couple local musicians, and cut the anti drug "Bearded Peddler", the anti war "Sirens of War", and the moody downer "Tears I Lost For You", all just as intense, and slightly unhinged, as the 1st 45. He recorded one more 45 at the end of 1968, under the name of "The Sound Of N. Patrick Williams" which was much more low key. Those were the last released recordings of Williams. Discography: (45) Bad Seed / Someday Tomorrow - Confederate no #, April 1968 (45) Bearded Peddler / Little Girl - Confederate #1,  July 1968 (45) Sirens Of War / Tears I Lost For You - Confederate #2,  July 1968 (45) Down Where Devils Play / Don't Be Afraid To Cry - Confederate #5, late 1968

Search Add 3 Tyler Famularo Guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. Active starting from the early 1970's. Member of [a=The Balloons (3)], Sky Harbor Band, The Bandits, Tykes, [a=Larry Lynne Group], his son's group, the Brandon James Band, Rebecca and the Grey Notes, Brennan Totten Band, Smooth Blues, and The Andy Gelles Trio. Tyler began playing guitar at age 11, by the time he was 14 he had his first real guitar and amp. It was a 1965 Telecaster and 65 Deluxe Reverb. His oldest brother Tom, who was in the Air Force at the time, sent the money home for it. But, he really got serious when he was practicing with a drummer. The drummer’s father came home from work and said “Pack up the gear”. He took them us to his favorite bar, they played about two hours and made about $40 in tips. He was hooked! His first band was the Tykes which morphed into The Larry Lynne Group. Brandon who is his son had recorded some of the songs Tyler had written. RCA Nashville heard them, became interested and flew them both down to Nashville. The Brandon James Band continued for about 7-8 years and got away from country and more into southern and classic rock. Tyler performs regularly with daughter Rebecca Famularo of Rebecca and the Grey Notes
