Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Motèl Mari Motèl Mari are João Orecchia, Mpumelelo Mcata and Tshepang Ramoba. Shortly after landing in Johannesburg in 2004, Orecchia, a Brooklyn born and schooled wanderer, who wound up in Berlin as a teenager messing with experi- mental punk before moving years later to South Africa, heard some talk about a psychedelic afro-rock outfit called BLK JKS. They became fast friends and have been working together on projects ever since. Mpumi and Tshepang (guitar and drums respectively) contributed to João's 2009 album, Hands & Feet, and would often join him on stage, adding thunderous beats and general bigness to the otherwise textural and floating soundscapes. Slowly they started becoming a band.

Search Add 3 Sounding Bodies Dutch contemporary music trio, formed in the summer of 2016 by cellist [a=Jacqueline Hamelink]. Sounding Bodies began as a site-specific live performance project at an abandoned locomotive repair warehouse in Hamelink's hometown Tilburg. Inspired by the unique acoustic properties of the enormous space, Jacqueline invited pianist [a=Stevko Busch] and electric guitarist [a=Aart Strootman] for a one-off improvisational session. It was named Derelict after the depot's poor conditions; the building was scheduled for renovation as a cultural center. Subsequently, Sounding Bodies evolved in Jacqueline Hamelink's "solo" collaborative project, and she has organized several more projects with other musicians since then.

To date ANTDUAN has nine Single/EPs released on his online discography: ‘Deep Forest’, ‘Moon Shadow’, ‘Do You Remember’, ‘Liquid Dream’, ‘Rain Drops’, ‘Mind Control’, ‘Perpetual (ANTDUAN Remix)’, ‘Coming to You’ and ‘Propaganda’. One of his most successful tracks, ‘Rain Drops’ (2020), amassed almost fifty-one thousand streams on Spotify alone. Search Add 3 Charles Harold Bernstein Charles Harold Bernstein Born in Los Angeles, Charles Harold Bernstein was a child prodigy pianist who performed as soloist with orchestras by the age of nine. At the age nineteen a serious health problem put a halt to a promising career. The need to turn his life in other directions led to a career in business. However, in spite of the demands on his time in the world of commerce, the need to express himself in music remained a driving force in his life. Bernstein began composing in 1970, plunging into an intense study of harmony and theory and working closely with such artists as violinist Yoshiko Nakura (founding member of the Tokyo String Quartet), violist Milton Thomas, and violinist Adam Korniszewski. Ironically, having begun his musical career as a pianist, Bernstein does not use a piano for his work nor does he write for it. He has produced an impressive range of music - from extended solos for violin, cello, oboe, clarinet and flute to quintets and eight works for orchestra – several of which have seen performances in the United States. Bernstein’s chamber music is performed in Europe and North America and some of his music is recorded by such well-known musicians as violinist Ivry Gitlis. A number of his chamber works have recently been released on the Centaur label. Bernstein is currently working on a tone poem for baritone and orchestra to a poem by D.H. Lawrence.

Search Add 3 The Glissando Guitar Orchestra The glissando guitar is a technique first invented by [a=Syd Barrett] and developped by [a=Daevid Allen] who made it his trademark. Glissando involves stroking the strings with a metal rod. It’s different from using a bottleneck in that you put the metal rod on the strings and stroke the strings right there on the neck. It interacts with the harmonics of the guitar to produce a unique unearthly and angelic sound. The idea of a glissando guitar ensemble was first conceived by Gong members Daevid Allen and [a=Steve Hillage] as far back as 1974, but until 2006 there had been no performance or band with more than 2 gliss guitarists. The Gong Reunion (Gong Unconvention) in Amsterdam in 2006 was the first opportunity to make real this project. Since then, the Orchestra is still alive, uniting different guitarists from different horizons each time.

Search Add 3 Mynis Matty G. - Drums Jason B. - Bass Guitar Rob G. - Guitar Thomas V. - Vocals/Percussion Mynis is a four piece progressive hard rock band formed in 1998 in the central California city of Fresno. Mynis is made up of Matty Gonzales on Drums, Robert Gonzalez on Guitar, Jason Benham on bass, and Tom Vlahavas on vocals/percussion. Mynis, whose style goes beyond any genre, has developed many loyal and devoted fans all over the country. They have survived many scenes and shared the stage with many diverse and different styles of music from heavy metal, to hardcore, to punk and anything else you can imagine. Hitting early gigs on Warped Tour 2000, 2001 and also playing many big local events sponsored by Fresno radio stations such as New Rock 104 and 103.7 KRZR led them to great success early on. This success helped launch them into a very productive and eventful career which continues on today. Since their formation in the late 90's they have shared the stage with such acts as Weezer, 311, Alien Ant Farm, Zebra Head, Pennywise and many, many more. Playing with such acts and doing extensive touring throughout California helped them catch the ear of high profile producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (known for her work with Tool, System Of A Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince). They recorded their first full length album during the winter of 2003 with Sylvia and release it through independent label 5k records. This album helped launch them into full west coast touring and nation wide recognition. Their single "Bye Tomorrow" entered heavy rotation on local channel 103.7 KRZR and many other stations across the country in Texas, Ohio, New York, Nevada and Arizona, just to mention a few. Mynis, whose live show has left many stunned, keep hard at work writing and recording and are ready to dive into the next level of their career. With positive attitudes and a drive that won't quit, Mynis continues to tour and catch the ear of many. Their willingness to succeed is only superseded by their unmatched original sound. The Mynis website still receives hundreds of hits daily. After selling more then 20,000 records with little promotion other than touring, some radio exposure and word of mouth alone, the band continues to thrive and grow in popularity. Give them a listen! You won't be disappointed. Go see a live show and you will never be the same! Let’s bring it!

Search Add 3 Inwait In Wait In Wait great band from Guayaquil born in 1999 initially with the missing members Miguel Cruz and Arturo Rodriguez was a band with its own style as you can see in its melodies. In those times they still did not play in concerts and never They imagined the great reception they would get. Then they split Miguel and Arturo, giving way to [a6144363] and [a6625986] who met in the student era at Sek School and finally to [a6627140] who would be the voice of this spectacular band, given that they had no drummer and in their eagerness to search [a6144363] meets [a6816701] for the Mirc, and invites him to be part of the band, and it is here that melodies like Dalia, Maldita Perra and if you could understand that quickly won the good reviews of the Guayaquil scene are born. With very catchy melodies this group decides to release their first album titled Tonta illusion, but it still does not go on sale due to the economic situation that is going through, we hope to have them on stage soon, and from now people are invited to support the Monster of punk with Code Red of Colombia where In Wait will be one of the bands that will share the stage, without a doubt this performance is deserved by the dedication that they waste in each presentation.

Search Add 3 EvnaR EvnaR was first concieved in the minds of blood brothers J.M (Between The Frost) and R.M (ex Between The Frost) in early 90s, their motivation made them join different bands on guitars and vocals. In late 1993 Between The Frost was formed with the two brothers as active members. In 2010, R.M (vocals) left the band, from that moment the brothers took up the legacy and feeling coming from early days and started to write new music. As soon as they decide to capture this work into a full length album, Slovenian drummer Robert Kovačič is recruited, an old friend and recognised extreme metal musician known for his work with bands such as Scaffold, Belphegor, Nothnegal... After two years and a great deal of work, eight tracks of Black Death Metal with no boundaries make up their first album entitled “E.V.N.A.R.”, mastered at Necromorbus Studio in Sweden by Tore Stjerna. The band´s logo is designed by American vocalist and visual artist Mike Hrubovcak from Visual Darkness. Members: R.M.-Vocals J.M.- Guitars Robert Kovačič- Drums
