Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | The Jason Martinko Revue | Jason S. Martinko, born April 19, 1979, began writing songs & performing at a very early age. By the 1990s he had played countless solo performances in different bars, clubs, coffeehouses, street corners & other social events. In 1997, after graduating high school in Pittsburgh, Martinko went to Ocean City, Maryland with friend & bassist Nate Fitzgerald, born January 20, 1979. The two made a living playing together on the boardwalk nightly for tips. In time they made quite a name for themselves making headlines in several local newspapers & appearing in a TV commercial for an Ocean City bar. In 1998, they returned to Pittsburgh to record their first album entitled, “Soul Boy”. Martinko & Fitzgerald performed around Pennsylvania, Virginia & Maryland to promote the CD. In 1999, Martinko met drummer Jordan McMillen, born May 5, 1983. McMillen was in a blues band looking for a solo opening act. Martinko played a few solo shows opening up for the blues band. Eventually, Martinko, Fitzgerald & McMillen began to play shows as a three-piece band. In 2000, McMillen left his blues band & The Jason Martinko Revue was born. The band would perform in countless seedy bars & roadhouses over the next few years. They went through many musicians including lead guitarists, sax & trumpet players. The three-piece core stayed the same. They began to record a new album. In 2003, The Jason Martinko Revue released a self-titled album that would sell hundreds of copies. They appeared in many local Pittsburgh newspapers & on several TV commercials. In early 2003, the band also began to film a horror movie they had written as an attempt to better promote their band. The film, “Gone The Way Of Flesh” was finished in 2006 & is scheduled to be released by Troma Entertainment on DVD worldwide in early 2007. In 2004, Larry Tamburri, born September 19, 1958 & Joe Maryanski, born July 1, 1981 joined The JMR on trumpet & tenor sax. Their gritty, authentic rhythm’n’blues horn arrangements would complete The JMR sound. The band continued to play in bars & juke joints along the East Coast. In 2005, Nate Fitzgerald left The JMR & was temporarily replaced by Craig Bolton. With the original three-piece core broken, the band struggled to find a permanent replacement. Around this time, the band began playing several different strip clubs around Pittsburgh. With the hype of their name & movie, “Gone The Way Of Flesh” building up, they began to acquire many hardcore fans. In 2006, The Jason Martinko Revue began recording their next album which will be released on Bonedog Records. They recorded at the Mojo Boneyard Studio based out of McKeesport, PA. Craig Bolton played bass on the album, but would soon be replaced by Mike “Ollie” Osborne, born October 3, 1980. Steve Jacobs, born November 18, 1966 also replaced Joe Maryanski on tenor sax. The JMR started production on their second feature film, “Gone The Way Of Flesh II: Fresh Bloody Flesh”. Their production company is called, Cut’N’Run Productions. The Jason Martinko Revue continues to tour, promoting their one-of-a-kind style of rock’n’roll music that relates to people of all ages & colors. With their wide range of combined styles, no foot has gone untapped during any of their performances, yet their style has still gone unclassified. They truly are a category of their own.

Search | Add | 3 | 2Da West | Samuel West | 2Da West is an up & coming emcee from Chicago, Illinois. His unique vocals & style makes him perfect for almost any production. His skills are always tight and on point of the production. His professionalism stands out in his art work. His ability to bounce his syllables to the beat is that like of a drum machine. Reminds you of real emcees such as Tech N9ne or 2Pac with his gift. Not only though is his timing perfect, but his lyrics have a message. A message of truth that many are not ready to hear. 2Da West is a well seasoned emcee that knows what rapping really is. From Hip Hop to eHop to Dance music, this emcee can do it all. In the words of 2Da West himself; "The meaning of life can take you down many different paths. But good or bad, they all give you the gift of experience. Experience is what life is all about. And to me, being able to learn and evolve from these experiences, is the true meaning of life. It no longer matters where you came from, because where you're going in the future, is the only thing that you actually have control of. It's up to us to decide where we want to be in the future, what we want to accomplish, and the means for making that happen. It's up to us to find the power within ourselves, and the only power that saves, heals, and creates, is LOVE. Without being able to love yourself, it's almost impossible to love anything else. To change the world, we must first change ourselves!" |

Search | Add | 3 | The International Blues Duo | The International Blues Duo was founded in 1982 on Chicago’s North Side when Gary Wiggins moved to Chicago from Detroit and Christian Rannenberg just arrived in Chicago from Germany. After a jam session at the Kingston Mines Club the two realized that together they had an interesting energy and sound. They decided to create The International Blues Duo and immediately started working the north side blues clubs such as B.L.U.E.S., Kingston Mines, Lillies, as well as performing with Lefty Dizz, Sunnyland Slim, Johnny Littlejohn, Sam Myers and many others on the Chicago blues scene. After one year of living and playing in Chicago, Gary and Chris joined the Lefty Dizz Band for a 21 day tour of the Scandinavian countries. Once they were on the European continent, they agreed to relocate to Germany, where they became an immediate sensation. From 1983 to 1990 they toured and played blues festivals, blues clubs, did radio and television shows. They recorded three LPs and invited many musicians to tour Europe with them such as Johnny Heartsman, Johnny Copeland, King George, Charlie Musselwhite, Angela Brown, Jeanny Carroll and Big Jay McNeely.

Search | Add | 3 | Sunny Spencer | Robert “Sunny” Spencer, a 22-year member of the Sons of the Pioneers, the legendary western music group launched by Roy Rogers in the 1930s, has died. He was 75. Spencer, who lived near Branson, Mo., died Feb. 5 of respiratory failure in a hospital in Tucson, Ariz., where the group was performing, his family said. A singer and self-taught musician who played 22 instruments, Spencer used seven of them – guitar, saxophone, banjo, trumpet, fiddle, clarinet and jug – on his trademark song “Mamma Don’t Allow No Music Playin’ Round Here.” “He was such a consummate part of the group,” Roy “Dusty” Rogers Jr., son of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, told the Los Angeles Times on Friday. “There wasn’t an instrument he couldn’t play; he was just an amazing musician.” Like former Sons of the Pioneer member Pat Brady, Rogers said, “Sunny was the comedy side of the Pioneers, and there is going to be a huge void for them for a while.” Rogers, who has his own group in Branson but frequently sang with the Sons of the Pioneers, added: “I don’t know anybody who didn’t like Sunny. My mom, Dale, just really loved him; he always kept her laughing.” Roy Rogers was still known as Leonard Slye when he, Bob Nolan and Tim Spencer (no relation to “Sunny” Spencer) formed a western specialty act called the Pioneer Trio in 1933 in Los Angeles. A year later, after adding another member and being told by a KFWB radio announcer that they were too young to be “pioneers,” they became the Sons of the Pioneers. Rogers left the group, which gained national recognition with hits such as “Cool Water” and “Tumbling Tumbleweeds,” when he signed with Republic Studios in 1937. Over the years, the Sons of the Pioneers have had 26 members, including Ken Curtis, and a couple of alternates, including Wesley Tuttle and Doyle O’Dell.

Search | Add | 3 | Bluegrass Reunion | Red Allen gave me my first job as a record producer ("Red Allen and Frank Wakefield" Folkways FA2408) in 1963 and my first job as a bluegrass mandolin player in 1965. In 1967, Herb Pedersen and I played together in the "Smoky Grass Boys," a short-lived California aggregation, and later on in "Here Today" with Jim Buchanan. Herb and Red found themselves in Nashville subbing for Scruggs and Flatt in the late 60s, and in 1973, Garcia and I joined forces in "Old & In The Way." Jim Buchanan joined my quintet in the early '80's, as did Jim Kerwin who also plays in the Garcia/Grisman band. Although this group is one which never played together previously, it felt like a reunion of kindred spirits... a Bluegrass Reunion. ~David Grisman, December 1991

Search | Add | 3 | Rufino The Catalan Casanova | Phillip Branson | An engaging and charming Black Sea Gentleman with the skills of entertainer, violinist, card dealer, escape artist and distorter of truth. Excerpt from THE HISTORY OF MIKELANGELO AND THE BLACK SEA GENTLEMEN: For decades the group toured Europe and Asia Minor receiving ovations and accolades. All was well until the sudden and tragic demise of the beloved Senor Handsome on the eve of the groups’ debut at the Kirov Opera, St. Petersburg. Though details remain shrouded in mystery, it is believed he was thrown from his horse while hastily leaving the residence of one of his many lovers…and in that awful moment it seemed that the Black Sea Gentlemen would be no more. Despondent, the Gentlemen left St. Petersburg and made their way to the Bulgarian Black Sea town of Varna, hitting the drinking houses to drown their collective sorrow. It was in a particularly seedy gambling den, at some unfathomable hour, that the Gentlemen lost all their worldly possessions to a sly young Catalan Casanova named Rufino. The inveterate gambler and confidence man was bemused at having won himself a piano accordion, a clarinet and a kontrabass, and announced, ‘I once swindled the devil himself for his infernal violin only to lose it in a card game a few days later, all I have left is the bow!’ Half mad with grief and drink, Mikelangelo then brought out the last thing the Gentlemen had, Senor Handsome’s violin, and placed it on the gambling table. Instantly, tears welled up in the eyes of Rufino and he began to shake quite uncontrollably. Calming himself with a walnut brandy, he opened the case, gently picked up the instrument and played a lament so heartrending that the whole room fell silent. He then cleared his throat, ‘my friends, this was once my brother’s violin, just last night I dreamed that he died, tell me this is not true.’ The Gentlemen all stared into the eyes of Rufino and saw that same fire that had danced in the eyes of Senor Handsome, and in that moment they knew that he too was a Black Sea Gentleman. |

Search | Add | 3 | Uncle Bud Robinson | Reuben A. Robinson | Reuben “Uncle Bud” Robinson (Born 1860 in White County, Tennessee), was a Methodist Episcopal evangelist, who would later become a part of the Church of the Nazarene, Died 1942. Known for his folk wisdom and colorful phrases, his preaching focused on the message of entire sanctification. His father made whiskey and ran a bar in the hills of White County, Tennessee. “Uncle Bud” grew up in a poor family, one of thirteen children, and did not get an education. After his father’s death, his mother moved the family to Texas, where he fell into a wild life of drinking and gambling. In 1880, he attended a tent revival, was converted, and then joined the Methodist Episcopal Church. It was a Sunday school teacher who taught him how to read at 20 years of age. In the 1890’s he studied at Southwestern University and would become a major influence in the emerging Church of the Nazarene. He experienced the call to preach at his conversion, and despite a bad stutter remained an active evangelist for 60 years |
