Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Zenéjük e stílusok sajátos vegyülete, olykor kiegészítve a magyar népzene motívumaival. A divatirányzatoktól független, elsöprő lendületű, kemény, gitárközpontú alternatív hangrobbanás.” A „hangrobbantás” elkövetői: Bujdosó János (gitár), Pintér Zoltán (basszusgitár), Németh Miklós (billentyűs hangszerek), Horváth Viktor (dob). | |

In 1991 I heard electronics and everything was on the rise. The first synthesizers bought at the beginning of zero, it was Roland and began to record everything, and the project Syntez Atf was born. The first live performances began in 2008, together with DJ Begish. Now I'm playing syntez atf, like jockey or live on synth, writing music. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Totalitarian Musical Sect | The most interesting project of a new wave of modern St. Petersburg's musical scene. Describing the style of this collective's music is extremely complex. Musicians call it «a new Russian primitivism ». Music includes the features of rock, jazz and improvising music. The most influential names are German krautrock band CAN, ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO and SUN RA. The group is a derivate from « Z ensemble », in which many Petersburg's musicians have played. Despite of a rather long history their first official release was only in 2002 by the company "HOR records". TMS is the constant participant of festivals of avant-garde art. The leader of the TMS, Dmitriy Kahovskiy, has played with all considerable musicians in St. Petersburg. At the festival SKIF-6 he performed in a duet with the legendary American guitar player Eugene Chadbourne, on SKIF-7 he played with unique Dutch drummer Han Bennink. Music by Kahovskiy and TMS will be used in some cinematographic projects («It is difficult to be God», А.German). Musicians of TMS also played in many other projects: Vitaliy Kucherov in Union of Commercial Avantgarde & Nado Podumat'; Alexey Stavizkiy in solo-project "Musicproduct"; Ilia Belorukov in DaDaZu & Miro; Maxim Pozin in DaDaZu & Bimka. Because they were signed to Jive Records Korea, Voixco did not get a whole lot of recognition due to Jive Records being an American based label. However, they did get more recognition in Japan. The only type of big recognition they were able to receive in Korea was for promoting the domestic release of the 20th Century Fox animated movie Ice Age (2001). The song "Ice Baby" was used for the promotion and a music video was produced as well. Due to poor management and Jive Records Korea having to file for bankruptcy, Voixco disbanded in 2002. | |

This led up to the album "Stay Out Of Jail" by J.D.L. From 1990 to 1996 he drummed with the rock/blues band Dirty Hands, issuing three records with them ("Dirty Hands" - 1992 S.D.R.Rec.; "XXX Hot Chilli" - 1993 Boots Rec.; "Four Cool Cats" - 1995 Boots Rec.) and playing on the European blues circuit and the southern and western American ones (New Orleans, Austin, San Antonio, Tuscon, Flagstaff, Los Angeles etc...). He has worked with many blues artists both in Italy and overseas (Andy J Forest Italian / American tour '92; Paul Orta and the King Pins American tour '93, J Monque'D Italian Tours '94/'95, Mark Hummel Italian Tour '95) with genres that range from surf music (X - Raymen '95/'97) to garage/punk (Sciacalli '98)...but never forgot blues. During the 2002 he becomes Big Mojo to produce its own music and create a fusion between electronica and roots like blues and funk. Like Big Mojo he has produced two albums and countless singles From 2008 to today he is drummer and producer for Wu Ming Contingent, the band of the Wu Ming collective |

This great album has more than 25 musicians involved, which lent their talent to celebrate WAVE RECORDS 10th anniversary and support CARE Cancer Institute, where 50% of its sales profit will be destined to the institution. The CARE Cancer Institute helps poor people who needs cancer treatment and fake hair after chemo. Wanting more information, please visit INSTITUTO CARE / PROJETO SANSÃO at: http://www.careoncologia.com.br/instituto-care The idea came after 4AD´s This Mortal Coil, with unusual partners doing songs together, but in this case, we wish to celebrate 10 years of the WAVE RECORDS label and, the most important, support and help people in need of cancer treatment. Music project & concept by Alex Twin Sounds on the album will transport you to the 80´s era: ethereal, melancholic and beautiful! | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Dead Commuter | Formed in the Fall of 2005 , Dead Commuter started out with Paul Maggard On Guitar/Vocals, Rafael Garcia On Drums, and Margaret Follmer on Bass. Culling from a number of influences, The band's first efforts sounded like a variety of different genres, at one moment melodic as Latter-era Neurosis , the next being steeped in Powerviolence. Later down the road, Margaret left, with Khaine temporarily replacing her. By the end of '06 Dead Commuter had decided to end the search for a bassist and remain a duo for good. The band has come a long way since that first show opening for The Esoteric, becoming what each half of this duo has aspired: Loud, Bludgeoning Sludge. In June of 2011, after a long road of hard work and hard touring, Dead Commuter decided to end its 6 year run. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Fruit₂o5 | Fruit205 (stylized most often as Fruit2o5, Fruit₂o5) is an LA-based hip-hop and electronic duo(?). The group formed in late 2016 on a cold winter day on the way to Stop & Shop, when Fruit₂o5's debut album "Glock Tower 43" (earning outstanding reviews). Later on, in 2017, the duo released an live acid techno-based EP made on an Arturia Beatstep, featuring two parts of one song, and a remix. This EP met great reception. Fruit₂o5 met conflict when both members had different interests and more-or-less splientered. The main producer for Glock Tower 43 felt frustrated after feeling as though the vocalist from was not taking the group's future and music seriously enough (and rather floundering about). The Soundcloud-exclusive single, "Shiizua", was made shortly thereafter, the first track featuring the vocalist from Glock Tower 43 showing off his production skills, and the second creating an ambient soundscape with a replacement guest-vocalist. This was a last cry towards the vocalist to make something like Fruit₂o5 once so merrily did. This single was to no avail, with no attention from critics. After realizing that the vocalist put no effort into their part, the producer decided to release an 8 minute extravaganzic single in secret, titled "Hot Tang Skeleton Xylobhone Marimba Jig Time" (referred to as "hot tang skelebones xylophone show jive (1)" on the Bandcamp release). This single is what many may consider the peak of Fruit₂o5, as it ushered in a new wave of fans, and opened another world of sound. The future of Fruit₂o5 is unclear; Will it remain a duo? Will it branch out beyond electronic and hip hop genres? Will new members join? Although those questions cannot be answered, it can be assured that Fruit₂o5 will continue to release music for times to come. "We are watching you. We are helping you. We are Fruit₂o5." | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Listmaker | Shaun Dowse | [a=Listmaker] was the initial electronic music moniker of acidic dub techno producer [a=Voltergeist]. Starting out his production path as “Creations Of The Mind” in 1993 by writing free public domain music demos using an Amiga 1200 (running respected 12-bit internal sample-tracking software ProTracker), [a=Listmaker] quickly developed a passion for the complex interweaving soundscapes of early UK techno/trance harmonies and rhythms. Upon receiving his first piece of serious hardware (a Yamaha RY30 drum machine) in 1996, he realised that his particular sound could be liberated without the need for vast amounts of musical equipment. He produced his first demo tape, “Drum Machine” using only the RY30 and Amiga running ProTracker. “My only limitation was that I had no way of automatically synchronising the two machines, as the Amiga had no MIDI interface. However, I found that by manually increasing and decreasing the tempo of the drum machine using the buttons on the front, I could keep the two machines in sync. This meant that I could use all four channels of Amiga audio for melodies and sound effects, whilst keeping the drum tracks on the Yamaha.” The [a=Listmaker] sound was becoming bigger! Whilst studying at the University of Glasgow he performed at his regular musical haunt, the Queen Margaret Union on the same stage graced by the pioneer [a=Aphex Twin], and continued to play gigs at several other local university student unions… After dropping out of university to earn money working as a landscape gardener and designer, he had soon saved up enough money to buy his first synthesizer and sampler. The next additions to the [a=Listmaker] sound were a Yamaha CS1x synth, and a Yamaha SU10 sampler. By this time, he had upgraded his Amiga sequencing software to Bars & Pipes Pro (a precursor to Cubase) and a sturdy MIDI interface. ProTracker was shelved and the [a=Listmaker] sound started to become much more layered. “The times that I did leave the house were either to work or to spend time at fellow electronic music producer Galaxis Quench’s studio in Ayr. It was through Quench that I managed to track down an original Korg MS10 synthesizer. At the same time, he found himself a Moog Rogue!” Up until this point, everything he had produced was stored on Amiga 1200 diskettes and self-mastered to an old TASCAM two-track. “After several of my master recordings got chewed up and transformed into a garbled tape mess fit for nothing but the bin, I realised that I’d need to upgrade to storing digital masters in order to preserve my tracks. “Unable to afford a DAT recorder or any other digital master format, I settled on a Sony MiniDisc recorder. Regrettably, the compression used to fit the audio onto the media wasn’t the best quality (MiniDisc uses lossy compression) but it was a thousand times more reliable than cassette tape!” Inspired by his developing studio, seemingly limitless audio possibilities (after squeezing as much as possible out of very little equipment), he put together his first complete EP, entitled “[m=540645]” as a celebratory reference to the progression from a couple of manually synchronised machines, to a fully synchronised studio… |

| Search | Add | 3 | Saunders' 98 Key Gavioli Fair Organ | Saunders' 98 Key Gavioli Fair Organ, Serial No. #7630, was built in 1886 as an 84-key barrel organ by the renowned French manufacturer Gavioli et Cie and sold in the UK by Chiappa & Sons, a prolific London-based manufacturer and distributor of mechanical music instruments. It's often cited as the oldest surviving and functional Gavioli mechanical fairground organ today. In 1983, A C Pilmer Automatic Music from West Yorkshire conducted a unique, "period-accurate" expansion of the organ to a 98-key scale, switching from the original "pinned barrel" mechanism to Gavioli's patented "book music" system. Since 1987, the organ has been preserved in the Saunders Steam Collection. The identity of Gavioli's first owner is unknown today; reportedly, the organ was used as part of a traveling menagerie show. It was one of Gavioli's headliner models, the largest available Orchestre Militaire ("military orchestra") design. The first confirmed proprietor of this Gavioli was a Silcock Bros. company in Warrington, co-founded in 1914 by Herbert Arthur Silcock (1926—2021) and his siblings, Lawrence, Edward, and Arthur. Throughout the 1920s, the Gavioli organ underwent several changes and technical upgrades, most notably the addition of percussion; the original mechanism for manually switching between different melodies on the barrel was replaced with an automated selector. The Silcock brothers restarted their company after World War II and retained the Gavioli organ for about three decades. Herbert A. Silcock married Jane Silcock, née Pilkington (1926—2020) in 1949, and they had three children; one of their sons, Herbert Edward Silcock, Jr. (b. 1950), carried on the family business in the third generation. They were among the last British fairground proprietors to use traditional barrel organs until the late 1950s. The ownership and exact whereabouts of the Gavioli between 1960 and 1983 are disputed. According to [a=Andrew C. Pilmer]'s liner notes for the 1987 Saunders' Organ – Vol 1 cassette album, the organ belonged to several collectors, first W. J. "Bill" Barlow (d. 1976), then Peter Arnett (1923—2002) in Portsmouth (from 1973 to 1981), and finally Tom Fisher (1981–83). Meanwhile, Marco Ladd's 2025 article about "monster" street organs in the Nineteenth-Century Music Review by [l=Cambridge University Press] claims that throughout the 1960s, the instrument belonged to the Gladiator Club in Redruth, Cornwall; in the photo, it has decorated "T. Clarke's Racing Motors" plaques. Several photographs from the Morrab Library archives in Penzance, Cornwall, feature the same Gavioli organ showcased by the Gladiator Club as late as 1980, captioned as "Gavioli Organ purchased from Len & Jack Cole, Leeds." (Notably, the instrument is clearly labeled as "1875" on the decorative case.) In 1983, the A C Pilmer Automatic Music firm in West Yorkshire purchased the heavily worn instrument for restoration and conservation. After thoroughly inspecting the old pinned barrel, [a=Andrew C. Pilmer] (b. 1957) and his late father, Anthony "Tony" Pilmer, decided to upgrade the action to a so-called "book music" system — a revolutionary design patented by Gavioli & Co. in 1892, not long after this specific barrel organ was shipped. Anselme Gavioli (1828—1902) didn't invent the concept of encoding data on the punctured paper itself, nor was he even the first to apply it in musical devices (preceded by French engineer Jules Carpentier (1851—1921), for instance, and his "Harmonium" pump organs in 1881 that used similar punch-cards for the recording and playback). However, Gavioli's new "Book music" (Livre de musique) medium became truly disruptive and groundbreaking for mechanical organs. Replacing a heavy and bulky, yet fragile rotating pinned barrel with sheets of punched thick cardboard folded in a zig-zag pattern provided vast benefits from every possible standpoint: extended duration and full-length compositions (versus 5-7 short tunes, limited by physical dimensions and "hard-coded" on the barrel with metal pins and bridges), interchangeable and instantly swappable repertoire, much better and consistent sound quality, and, most of all, streamlined and simplified manufacturing at the fraction of the cost of hand-assembled barrels with thousands of minuscule pins and staples. The restoration lasted more than three years and required making over 300 new pipes, adding new ranks and mechanisms for the enlarged scale, rebuilding the chests, and meticulously restoring the decorative façade. Curiously, Pilmers designed a new 98-key action based on the original "87/89 key no. 4 scale," not a more common "violin-baritone scale" typically used by British restorers. In the summer of 1986, the renovated 98-key Gavioli debuted as part of the Saunders Steam Museum in Stotfold. This unique collection of antique steam engines and fairground rides was established in 1961 by the late Reg Saunders and his wife, Hilary Saunders (1928—2014). Typically, the Gavioli organ was accompanied and powered by the famous 1925 "ex-Mayor" Burrell 4000 Special Scenic Road Locomotive engine. | |
