One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

| Search | Add | 6 | The Mahlors | There are many bands that fuse the sounds of Reggae and Rock. There are few bands who can pull it off and make it their own. The Mahlors are not just your ordinary band. The Mahlors were conceived by lead guitarist/vocalist Justin Jones and lead vocalist/guitarist Kevin Gresh in 2008. Pretty soon, Jones was writing song after song with Gresh, and the two knew they were on to something. Drawing from a wide range of musical influences that ranged from Bob Marley to Minor Threat, The Police to N.W.A., to the jazz greats of Coltrane and Miles, they were creating a unique take on the genre of Reggae. Jones and Gresh were determined to start a band. The beginning of the band started with Jones, Gresh, and their long-time friend and drummer, TJ Haslett. They went through a line-up of bass players until they came across Anthony Villar. The four instantly clicked. The vibes were on point and the band set off to turn some heads. And turn heads they did. By 2009, the band was playing non-stop all around the state of PA. They quickly became a local favorite amongst all different age groups, all the while nobody in the band was even over the age of 18. After gigging, the band finally stepped in the recording studio to cut their first album. By the end of the summer, they already sold over 100 self - made CD's. The Mahlors weren't done yet. That same year in between shows, the boys went back into the studio to produce their second album entitled Give In. It had become even popular than their first. They continued to perform and were racking up gigs almost every week. By 2010, the band had already opened up for national acts such as The Supervillains, The Movement, Ballyhoo, The Green, Bad Manners, The B Foundation, Iration, Echo Movement, and many more. They were gathering up a loyal following all along the East Coast. Kevin Gresh quit the group in late 2011 for personal reasons. Although this set the group back, it did not stop them. Justin moved on to lead vocal duties and guitar, and they added longtime friend of the band Ryan DeHaven to play guitar and sing backing vocals. This lineup change gave the band new legs, and they started to grind harder than ever before. In 2012 they played over 160 shows and closed out the year with a month long tour up and down the entire east coast. 2013 brought some challenges; when bassist Anthony Villar parted ways from the band, at first they didn't really know what to do, but then they were saved by Jeff MacCain. A guitarist by nature and a longtime friend of the band, Jeff has filled Anthony's shoes on bass better than expected, and continues to rock shows with the band. Aside from that The Mahlors still managed to go on a few tours in 2013, ending the year with a long one that consisted of an east coast run as well as a leg out to Chicago and back. Now it is 2014, and The Mahlors continue to broaden their horizons. After playing over 300 shows in the last two years, and touring up and down the east coast many times, their relentless gigging and dedication has served to establish themselves as an incredible and unmissable live act. Their fan base is growing faster than ever and people are swarming to see and hear the unique blend of reggae and punk than The Mahlors produce!! She went on as an opening act for tours with [a=Loretta Lynn], [a=Roy Clark], [a=Charley Pride], and [a=The Charlie Daniels Band] and performed with [a=Lynn Anderson] at the Halogaland Country Music Festival in Norway. For 20 years Morgan was known as the “FMCA Sweetheart,” accompanying the Family Motor Coach Association conventions around the United States. In 1985 she was inducted into the New York State Country Music Hall of Fame. As Janece Morgan she recorded several tracks in the 1950s for the label [l=Marlee Record Co.] in Trumansburg, NY, mostly in the country and rockabilly styles. As [a=Alice Detrick], she had several releases including a single on [l=ABC Records]. She died on 22 September 2022 in Montour Falls, NY, at the age of 82. |

Ήταν η πρώτη του εμφάνιση μπροστά σε κοινό και μάλιστα τόσο μεγάλο. Όταν ήταν φοιτητής στην Θεσσαλονίκη συμμετείχε στο σύλλογο Σαρακατσάνων "ο κατσαντώνης" που αποτελούνταν κυρίως από φοιτητές. Ακόμη μαζί με άλλους διατηρούσε ημίωρη εκπομπή στο κρατικό ραδιόφωνο. Τα χρόνια που ήταν φοιτητής ηχογράφησε δυο δίσκους "Τα Σαρακατσάνικα " με κλαρίνο τον Βαγγέλη Καραπατή και το "Οι φίλοι μου παρήγγειλαν" με τον Ξενοφώντα Μπαντή. Από το 1980 εώς το 1985 εκδόθηκαν σε δίσκους το "Καλημερίζω δυο καρδιές" με τον Βασίλη Μπατζή, "Θα παραγγείλω στα βουνά" με τον Σωτήρη Σγούρο και "Σαρακατσάνικη ανθολογία ΙΙ" με τον Γρηγόρη Καψάλη. Επίσης σ' αυτό το χρονικό διάστημα κυκλοφόρησε υπό μορφή ζωντανών ηχογραφήσεων αρκετές κασσέτες από τις δισκογραφική εταιρεία GENERAL MOUSIC: "Σαρακατσάνικη ανθολογία", "Το κυπαρίσσι το ψηλό" κ.α. | |

In the same year he participated in the magazine of Carullo and Pauchet Napoli that does not go away with Gino Ruggiero, Mariella Ginosa and Nino Re. He then held concerts at the Leopardi theater with Ferdinando Rubino and Isa Landi. In 1950, after a long selection, she joined the Radio Napoli team and began broadcasting with the Vinci Orchestra. In 1952, he signed a recording contract with the Fonit label and recorded his first album: 'O munaciello' e notte, a piece taken from the Piedigrotta Giba held in the same year. The following year she triumphs at the Totò and New Year's Eve magazine Comme se fa 'e song with Gabriele Vanorio, Mario Abbate, Ennio Romani and others. She accompanied by the orchestra conducted by Luigi Perfetti she sings Simpaticona di Riccio and Marchese and Vesuviana di Celentano and New Year's Eve. In the same year, she participates in Amedeo Greco's magazine Poetry and songs with Nino Nipote, Agostino Salvietti, Aurelio Fierro and Alberto Amato. In 1954, she took part in Piedigrotta Argoss with Katyna Ranieri and Franco Ricci and in the second edition of the Salerno Festival with Aurelio Fierro, Gabriele Vanorio and Enza Dorian. In 1955, she signed a recording contract with the CGD label and made her debut with the record Acqua 'e Maggio. Then she, with Luciano Glori, Maria Longo and Franco Pace, she participates in the third edition of the San Arsenio Song Festival in Salerno. Also in 1955, she participated in the second Neapolitan Song Festival of Postelegraphonic Dopolavoro with Maria Longo, Nunzio Gallo and Luciano Glori and won the Municipal Song Festival with the motif 'Nnammurata e marenare. At the theater, she takes part in the orchestra magazine Anepeta Si aired in Marechiaro with Luisa Poselli, Fiorenzo Fiorentini and Sergio Bruni. In 1956, she joins Alberto Amato's line-up and goes on stage with the drama Senza guapparia. In addition, she continues to broadcast on the radio with the Anepeta orchestra and marries the singer Enrico Fiume. In 1958, she signed with the Durium record label and began recording songs with the Royal. In the same year she won the Procida Festival with the song Procida suonne celeste by Mancini and Domenico Pirozzi sung in duet with Enrico Fiume. In 1959 she recorded the song Suttanella e cazunciello, duet with Mario Trevi, the latter in his recording debut. Then, with the birth of her first child, she retires to private life. |

Whatever preconceptions you have about Rock 'N' Roll music, forget them and believe instead in Truth Will Set You Free, the latest offering from this lean, mean group of Michiganders. Truth Will Set You Free, the band's third studio album, takes the listener on a journey with twists and turns varying wide from Blues to Country with plenty of straight ahead Rock. "It covers a lot of ground musically” states drummer Kenny Roberts. "We made the album in batches and in different locations in an effort to really mix things up." "We began with the intention of this album being the best thing we've ever done" explains bassist Dan Cox, "It had to be." The album took shape over multiple writing and recording sessions all taking place over several years. "We played gigs throughout the writing and much of the recording process" says frontman Jessie Beveridge, "The approach took a bit longer than expected but we think the material and the performances speak for themselves." Lyrically the album seems loosely themed around getting unstuck from a rut, a subject close to Beveridge's heart. "Hard times lead to real words, sometimes heavy, sometimes really uplifting, but always close to home." The Rockit King also appear to be keen studies of all things blues with tracks like the eponymous 'The Truth Will Set You Free'. There’s something about the bend of the mandolin, the rustle of the guitar, the gale-like wave of the vocal melody…, that calls you to adventure. Songwriting duo Emily Burns and Aaron Markovitz have always been adapting. The two Michiganders met as individual music makers in the blues open-mic circles; then they studied their craft together in California, and wound up taking to the seas to cover Top 40 hits for a cruise ship’s dance hall. After that, they started a southern rock-inclined, neo-country quartet, called Escaping Pavement. But most of their fans started finding them after 2014, when they kept their intrepid-sounding name but pared down to just a duo. With just their voices, an acoustic guitar and a mandolin, they wrote and recorded an album (The Night Owl) that was heavy on melody-slung Americana and rollicking, twangy ballads that attained a radiance through their magnificent harmonies. Now, they’re adapting again, this time as Road Warriors. Road Warriors: … we don’t mean that in a Mad Max sort of way...,, but it’s nevertheless a fitting title for their new EP. It’s been a year of discovery and progress for Escaping Pavement as they’ve entered this next phase. They played nearly 150 shows in 2018, mixing high-profile slots like the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance with more intimate engagements inside domestic abodes, all the while meeting and connecting with a range of wonderful new fans. They covered 60,000 miles, 28 states, and headlined six sold-out shows, including playing to their biggest audience to date. But with Burns and Markovitz both being John Muir-like romantics for the majesty of nature, they were absolutely thrilled to perform at the Zion Canyon Music Festival in Springfield Utah, right at the entrance to Zion National Park. It quickly became one of the highlights of their year. Since 2012, through their music and their lifestyle, Burns and Markovitz have extolled the restorative principals of “…Escaping the Pavement.” Fueled by the graceful grit and fine fiery energy of their acoustic guitar, mandolin and swooning harmonies, the intent was to integrate the uniquely holistic qualities of folk, roots and Americana music as a way of accessing an elemental peace of mind that’s always quietly waiting for us out there in the wilderness. While they developed their sound over two prior and very distinctly arranged albums, they tried to emphasize the splendors of unplugging every once and a while and taking in the outdoors, be it parks, trails, beaches, woods or mountains. But with the release of their third batch of recorded songs this Spring, Escaping Pavement are now embracing a Road Warrior outlook. Sure, they’re still escaping the pavement, but now they’re spending more time cruising across several interstate highways in a vintage, Jayco RV. Because from here on out, they’ll be consistently striking out for new territories and bold new experiences—particularly by taking on music as their full time profession. While any average independent artist probably has a day-job tethering them from full time tours, Escaping Pavement are making it their prerogative now to bring their evocative ballads, twangy rhythmic strums and soaring vocals to as many ears as possible—be it at bars, clubs, or outdoor festivals, or even your living room. The experience of making acoustic music together and getting back to nature can, of course, strengthen anyone’s songwriting sensibilities, but you begin to really find yourself, once you’re out there on the road! And as “warriors,” they’ve found they’re not defined by battles, so to speak, but more so by a bravery. Sure it’s a brave step for these songwriters to dive in 100% and begin adapting to road-life, but they if they both feel braver, or perhaps more enthused, it’s because of all of the people that they’ve gotten to meet and share time with: a diverse range of unique and affable people, be they music lovers in the audience, or fellow songwriters sharing their stage. The idea of a “home” for musical Road Warriors is ever-changing. But the question of what a “homecoming” might mean, then, for Road Warriors like them, now, is a more ponderous and amorphous concept that Burns and Markovitz mine to full poetic potential with the songs on their new EP. He is known for his humour, popular sermons, and for his outspoken stance against music, restrictions on polygamy, and injustice and oppression in the Muslim world. The peak of his fame was in the late 70ies / early 80ies when his friday sermons would be attended by crowds of 10000. He was a vocal critic of the Egyptian government. and was arrrested several times (1965 and 1981). He was boycotted by the official media under the Anwar Sadat regime (1970–1981), but cassette tapes of his sermons were widely distributed all over Egypt and the Arab world. He was released by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in 1982 under the condition that he end his career as a public activist, but his cassette tapes continued to be widely available thereafter. |
