Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 6 Judy Domeny Judy grew up on a farm near Rogersville, Missouri. The fourth of five children, Judy learned early how to weed gardens, pick up rocks from the fields, stack wood, and haul hay. To entertain herself while she worked, she sang folk songs. She sang of broken hearted Barbara Allen, English kings and queens, cowboys and Indians. She sang of Civil War battles, sailing ships, train wrecks, and murders. She sang to her pony on long trail rides and to the cows as she helped pen them. Fascinated by the stories within the songs, she developed a repertoire of hundreds of Ozark folk songs. The majority of Judy’s traditional folksong repertoire comes from the Ozark song collections of Max Hunter and Vance Randolph. Some of the songs date back to fourteenth century England, but most of her selections date from the early 1800s to the early 1900s.

Search Add 6 Jamie Shew “Forgive me if I don’t have the words. Maybe I can sing it and you’ll understand.” -Ella Fitzgerald Whether on stage or in the classroom, these are words that vocalist Jamie Shew seeks to achieve – to be able to project personal emotions and experiences through song. Jamie grew up in the Tri-Cities, a group of towns located in south central Washington State. She began her musical training at the age of four, when she was first introduced to the piano. The desire to sing was very strong for Jamie throughout her childhood; however, she was always needed as an accompanist. It was during her senior year in high school that her choir director gave her the opportunity to sing a Karen Carpenter solo. This was a pivotal moment – she was hooked. Jamie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Washington State University and a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance/Jazz Studies at Western Michigan University. As a graduate assistant at WMU, she had the opportunity to study privately with one of her favorite jazz vocalists, Sunny Wilkinson, and perform and record with the renowned vocal jazz ensemble, Gold Company. As a jazz vocalist, Jamie continues to enjoy a dynamic performance career among many internationally recognized jazz musicians such as Larry Koonse, Darek Oles, Royce Campbell, Chuck Manning, Bruce Babad, Jeremy Siskind, Kendall Kay, Mike Scott, Matt Politano, Danny Janklow, Dave Robaire, Will Brahm, Joe Bagg, Steve Cotter, Jason Harnell, Dan Schnelle, and Josh Nelson. In her newest CD project, Eyes Wide Open, released May 2018, Jamie uses song to tell the story of her 20-year relationship with her husband, bass player Roger Shew, and the loss she experienced when he succumbed to cancer. The music follows the arc of her life from the early days of their relationship through Roger's illness and beyond. Jamie's extensive musical training informs her singing. Her timbre is warm and inviting, while her timing, phrasing, and ability to interact so well with the band reflects her years of study. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she's playing with some of the finest musicians in Southern California including guitarist Larry Koonse, pianist and Hammond B3 player Joe Bagg, bass player Darek Oles, and drummer Jason Harnell, who are all leaders in their own right. Jamie chose songs she had considered recording in the past, but now they took on new meanings for her. She wrote two original compositions and selected and arranged the rest with a lot of deliberation. Each song became a metaphor for her journey. Eyes Wide Open is a project imbued with love and loss but eschews mere sentimentality. Jamie doesn't just perform moving interpretations of these songs, she opens her heart and exposes the genuine, raw feelings that have propelled her to make this CD. Her innate musicality is showcased in her phrasing and tone, but it's how she reveals the depth of the human condition that sets this project apart. In addition to a rich performance career, Jamie is Coordinator of Vocal Jazz Studies at Fullerton College in Fullerton, California, where she teaches private jazz voice lessons, two levels of Vocal Jazz Styling and Improvisation courses, Music Theory, History of Rock and Roll, directs two groups in the award-winning vocal jazz ensemble program, and is the vocalist for the Faculty Jazz Cadre high school educational outreach program. She is also an in-demand adjudicator and clinician for jazz festivals throughout the country and internationally, has served as the past Vocal Jazz Chair of the Southern California Vocal Association, and has directed the California All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

Search Add 6 Robert H. McAnally Australian band conductor and composer (1882-1959). Robert H. McAnally was undoubtedly the most prolific Australian composer/arranger of music for bands, particularly brass bands. His early musical career began with the Salvation Army, and he later became conductor of the New South Wales Tramways Band. He was one of the founders of the now defunct New South Wales Bandmasters’ Association based in Sydney. He wrote many difficult marches, including Implacable, Indomitable, The Spitfire, arranged Waltzing Matilda as a march and composed a programmatic march for the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932 entitled Triumph of Industry. On a visit to London he was honoured to see the Massed Guards Band march down The Mall playing his march The Spitfire, which was inspired by the Spitfire pilots of the Second World War. When the ABC established its National Military Band in 1934 it was McAnally who auditioned the players from all over Australia and brought the band together for the arrival of Colonel H.E. Adkins – director of the famous Kneller Hall Military School of Music in England. McAnally spent most of his life in Sydney and died in Albury.

Search Add 6 Insidiae Insidiae Insidiae was a Progressive Modern Metal band from Friesland, The Netherlands. They disbanded in February 2013. Below is the band's biography for archive and information purposes: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was October 2010 when a couple of good friends that had already made music together in the past decided to form a proper band. With Jelle Hamstra behind the drum kit, Janneke Smids on keys, Siegfried Kramer on lead guitar, Paulus Kramer on bass and Harm-Jan Broekema as vocalist the band was already nearly complete. Soon after Jeroen Bosma joined the band to play rhythm guitar and they were good to go. The band was christened Insidiae which is a Latin word meaning ambush or treachery. The word Insidiae is technically a plural form which has no singular. Though when translated it does refer to a singular concept and in that way it relates to being in a band. It takes multiple people to form a band that is itself one entity. A genre or style of music was never really stipulated but grew in a natural way with each song that was written. Resulting in the sound that now defines Insidiae. Dynamic, heavy as well as melodic, with a strong groove and a progressive edge. The songs themselves are what’s important and as long as they have an interesting progression and their components do not feel pieced together; almost anything goes. When it comes to lyrical content the band tends to focus itself on the darker side of the human psyche. In a little over a year Insidiae was already fortunate enough to open for big international acts such as Sonic Syndicate and Blaze Bayley as well as well known national bands like Autumn and God Dethroned. Meanwhile the recording of some demo tracks led to joining a collective of progressive metal bands called “Layered Reality Productions”. The band was also part of a compilation album, released only on Vinyl, that went by the name of “Frisian Metal Massacre Volume 1” alongside the befriended local acts; Leaper’s Path, Dimaeon and Disintegrate. This project in itself led to multiple new initiatives. Tamme Oosterhof, the man behind this compilation, started his own record label called Big Bad Wolf Records and in April 2012 Insidiae was the first act to be signed to this label. While members of Insidiae and Dimaeon started their own organisation called “Metalization” in order to organise gigs and other activities to help upcoming metal bands and musicians. In its relatively short existence there have also been some negative developments for Insidiae however. Chief among those being the long term illness of the band’s singer as well as multiple line-up changes. Jeroen Nauta took the place of Jeroen Bosma on rhythm guitar at the end of December 2011. And Jean-Luc Nealon replaced Paulus Kramer on bass guitar when he decided to quit the band early March 2012. All the while the work on the first album titled “Were Demons Dare” was continuing furiously and it is currently set for a release in the summer of 2012. This will mark the dawn of the new Insidiae that is now ready to rock as many venues as possible in order to earn its rightful place in the metal scene!

Search Add 6 Bachelor Machines Clint Hoagland In late 2004, songwriter [a=Clint Hoagland] stumbled upon the Bachelor Machines, forgotten, in a basement in a remote part of Lansing, Michigan. Mr Hoagland blew the dust off their screens, connected them back up, and they sprung back into life. The Bachelor Machines - Bachelor #1 and Bachelor #2 - requested audio and visual information input in the form of 12" LPs, VHS tapes and DVDs, which their human assistant provides them. They take that raw input, process it using operations known only to themselves, and then they provide their assistant with audio messages. Drawing their name and their found-object aesthetic from Duchamp and their love of sonic juxtaposition from the Space Age Pop movement of 1960s (not to mention the cut-up artists of more recent years), Bachelor Machines destroy recognizable sounds and restructures them into a comforting sonic world where computers talk, robot waitresses serve ice-cold cocktails, and messages from the home office are sent via pneumatic tube. In 2010, the Bachelors stopped engaging humans in rational conversations using the humans' own sounds. They now aim to address humans' nervous systems directly.

Search Add 6 reirwg As far as we know, reirwg is an ambient and electronic musician born in Connecticut in the early 2000s. Not much is known about reirwgs’ private life. In 2021, reirwg started his career. He started making vaporwave music in early August 2021 although quickly switched to ambient music and released his eponymous debut album in November 2021, featuring simple synth arrangements paired with longer pieces of drone and experimental ambient music. During 2022, reirwg gained more popularity as a musician among the Discord music community. He released many different albums on Bandcamp under different aliases with different collaborators and on his own. The second official reirwg album, titled “Meditation Music”, came out in December 2022. It features a darker sound than what can be heard on his debut album and is adored by many fans. In October of 2023, reirwg released "Archives", a one-hour thirty-minute ambient project that has been in the works since 2021 which was adored even more and showed an increasing musical evolution coupled with a promising future yet to come. In July of 2024, reirwg released "Enterprises", a forty-two-minute long ambient and drone demo, outtake, and newly finalized music compilation which was worked on from 2022 to 2023. As it stands, "Enterprises" was also well received by fans to an equal or lesser degree of enjoyment comparable to "Archives." Two versions exist of this project, the Bandcamp release and the YouTube release. The YouTube release is notable for its inclusion of bonus tracks not seen in the Bandcamp release.

Search Add 6 DJ Cam-One Cameron Bolling DJ Cam_One of Mystery Sound Recordings, Beat.Clause.It_Studios and Linden Tree Mastering. I am DJ Cam_One born Cameron Bolling and have been into music since an early age. I started singing in chorus and playing trumpet in elementary school and continued throughout middle school. At the age of 13 I started making mixtapes for friends using two cassette tape recorders. During this time my sister Rachel was dating DC radio and club Hip-Hop extraordinaire DJ Iran. Since then my life was never the same. In 1995, two years later I bought my first turntable from a pawnshop and paid with change. For the next three years I would practice my scratching, mixing and mixtapes skills. In 1998, I joined a Funk band called Bakufu using my turntables as added percussion to the group. Bakufu disbanded a few months later and I joined a DJ collective called Samsara Camp. This collective comprised of old and new friends from high school. Most of them had no experience with DJing and turntables, so I would teach them techniques that were learned and passed down to me. While with Samsara Camp I started playing Hip Hop at house parties and small venues throughout Maryland and Washington DC. Having the opportunity to open up for other locals at small venues was the stepping stone I needed to advance in my DJ career. After that I started giving private DJ lessons to friends and spoke with them about personal DJing experiences I had to help them with their DJ careers. That is just as important as technique. A short while later I joined another collective called Mantis Sound System and this is where my skills were honed and was able the play out more often. In 2001 I was contacted to play and teach Hip Hop DJing at Towson Universities Hip Hop week were I met an enormous amount of people and exhausted my resources. A few years later I found myself spinning regularly in Washington DC and Baltimore. While in Baltimore I opened up for and DJ’d along side such greats as: KRS-ONE, DJ Q-Bert and DJ Swamp among others at the popular club Sonar. While in Washington DC I opened up for and DJ’d along side such greats as: Cappadonna, Jurrasic 5, Mr.Len, Tame-One, Matisyahu among others at many popular clubs that hosted Hip Hop. In the summer of 2003 I had the opportunity to DJ before and after Dave Chappelle’s DC standup for both shows at the Warner Theater right after his first season debut of “Chappelle’s Show”. Soon thereafter I would find myself at Nissan Pavilion on the Code of the Cuts stage of the Vans Warped Tour. After those two amazing shows and the reception I received in DC and Baltimore I became a resident DJ for a legendary party called “Krunk” led by international DJ Jesse Tittsworth. During this time I would have shows at the world renowned Knitting Factory in New York and 9:30 Club in Washington DC and opening up for artists such as Jurassic 5 and Matisyahu. I have also judged the Guitar Center’s “Spin Off” DJ competition four times and was a judge at the International Turntable Federation (ITF) Mid Atlantic finals DJ competition. Presently I DJ for special occasions, but most of my time is now spent in my studio.

Search Add 6 The Pimmels The Pimmels are an Alt Dark Pop band from the US and UK. The lineup is a core of musicians, songwriters, and a revolving door of friends and special guests. Much of their material comes from hours of demo tapes recorded in London and New York. The tapes were lost until two of the original band members found them in storage during the lockdown. The band reworked the demos and made them into finished songs. Their first singles and forthcoming album are the result. The Pimmels are signed to Pimmelation records, California.

Search Add 6 Shiva The Destroyer Shiva the Destroyer, an experimental pop band, formed in Ft. Worth, Denton, Waco, and Granbury, Texas in the early 1990s, is the brainchild of Tony Primavera. Rising from the recent ashes of The Codependents (who were to be the ‘next big thing’ before deciding that fame and general acceptance was a useless farce) who disbanded in 1991 or '92. Discoursing on rock is pretty gay, huh? Where is Lester Bangs when you need him? Oh right, he’s dead. Shiva the Destroyer became the live version of The Can't, an improvisational 4-track project of Tony Primavera. The original idea for the group was to be an ever-changing line-up of capable local musicians, each playing a temporary role. That never worked out, considering the superstar egos of many of the Texas “musicians”. Though, there have been around fifteen members of the group besides the three principles. The music, a sort of experimental pop, is inspired by Pussy Galore, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Velvet Underground and The Violent Femmes…although none of Shiva's music sounds like those bands. Primavera always refuses to play with bands that he doesn't like, even if they are popular and the money is good. Some bands Shiva have played with are Sebadoh, Tsunami, Trumans Water, Tiger Trap, Wayward Girl, The Fireworks, Blacktop, Record Player, Pitchblende, God Is My Co-Pilot, Mudhoney, et al. The original line-up consisted of Jacky Shepherd (former guitar player and co-founder of The Codependents along with Tony Primavera who Jacky had played with in various bands since high school in Granbury, Texas. Jacky was the best guitar player around, so Primavera tasked him with the drum duties, which would lead to many a fight between the two. Lyle Darrin was an old skinhead friend of Primavera, so Primavera got him to play guitar. Lyle Darrin is now known as Stanton Meadowdale and is quite a famous and brilliant singer-songwriter in his own right. The idea of using musicians uncomfortable outside their elements gave Primavera free reign to dictate the direction of the group. Later, the original three fell apart. Lyle got a cute young girlfriend who dictated his every move and so was fired on-stage in Austin, Texas; Jacky got a heroin habit (died in 2007, RIP). Primavera took on Bryan Schmitz to play drums, sing back-up vocals, and play the occasional Fender Rhodes organ. Schmitz' musicianship, wit, and humor were so incredible that no words needed be spoken between the two. A symbiotic and instinctual force took control (Radar Love?), so that every recording and every show was perfection. The duo toured the east coast in 1996, after recording some of the band's best songs in Denton, Texas. Tony Primavera wrote the songs and played bass-chords for a while, before turning, prematurely, to guitar (in a spur of the moment experiment opening for Tsunami (some of the nicest people ever) and Versus (self-important dickheads). The lastest Shiva show took place at L'argot in Denton, Texas, after Primavera had relocated to Boston, MA. They conceded to open for the popular metal-funk band Brutal Juice, a band with which they had always refused to play, even though they were friends and, bass player Sam McCall was twice their engineer. "I hated them. I hated their sound and I hated their popularity amongst the frat Neanderthals in that area. I considered them to be playing ignorant and vulgar "beer music," which Jacky liked much. " The money and the large audience was likely the deciding factor in accepting the gig. Now a duo, Bryan Schmitz and Tony Primavera proceeded to inject copious amounts of cocaine and then guzzle Jack Daniels in an attempt to lessen the effects of the coke. This lead to what fans called Shiva's best show ever, consisting of lyrics of mumbled insults to the crowd and about only doing the show for the money, and Primavera vomiting on the crowd several times. Although this was little new for the group. Shiva the Destroyer always took a provocative stance, taunting audience members, and insulting "important" people and other bands, as well as lying to the media and creating fake interviews with the motto "Subvert, Destroy!" Shiva the Destroyer, despite their many relocations, some living in foreign countries, and line-up changes, continues to record their own brand of experimental pop music (often referred to as "spooky pop music"), releasing material mostly on compilations, as well as playing the occasional show. A self-titled "greatest hits" CD (despite the bands distaste for the CD medium) was released in 2001. Several tracks on compilations, including the song "Roxbury Station," appeared on "A Taste of Lapin," released by Thomas Nola's (of Thomas Nöla et son Orchestre) Disques de Lapin in 2008, as well as the song, "Sunday with Jacky," in Denton) on the "Rabbits in Your Stocking," comp. released in 2009. Search Add 6 Nazarene Plague American Brutal/Technical Death Metal band from Farmingdale, New York. Originally started as a solo-project of Mike Ray in 2008, later recruiting DarkFrost/Horns of Belial drummer Rob Donohue. The classic lineup formed in 2009 when Donohue moved from drums to lead vocals, and another Horns of Belial member Mike DeFilippi took over on drums. They recorded several demos, and played shows all around Long Island and New York City including shows with Cannibal Corpse, Carcinogen, and many more. One illegal backyard show directly adjacent to Farmingdale's Main Street with The D-Gen's led to the arrest of Rob Donohue. Disbanded in 2010 during the recording of the "Lullaby For The Aborted" EP, recorded by and planned for release by Infernal Trinity Records, with artwork commissioned by Josh "Leech" Jacobson, the artist who drew The D-Gen's "Gods of the Godless" EP cover. Guitarist/songwriter Mike Ray is still musically active despite his battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Lead singer Rob Donohue passed away in 2019. Infernal Trinity Records has released a set of 250 hand-numbered limited edition Rob Donahue Memorial cards with lyrics contributed by Thorns of the Carrion's Allen L. Scott II, the first 100 of which come with a reprint of the "Lullaby for the Aborted" promo flyers reproduced from the original 2010 files. Nazarene Plague had many other Donohue-Penned songs that never got recorded, including "Inflicting the Mortal Wound", "Devliver us to Evil", "Near Death Experience", The New Life" and "Humani Holocaustum". Unreleased: "Lullaby For The Aborted" EP, 2010. Recorded by Kenny Jockel for Infernal Trinity Records. 1. Murderer 2. Sacrificial Suicide 3. Rancid Feast 4. Lullaby for the Aborted 5. Immortality Through Homicide 6. Spectral Slaughter (Instrumental) 7. The Nazarene Plague Rehearsal Demo 2010 - Like the 2009 "Nazarene Plague" demo CD they've recorded this entire demo live in rehearsal multiple times. Also like the previous demo, ones that they found unsatisfactory were deleted. Two complete copies were kept but the band broke up before they could ever put them out as a demo CD, which they planned to do after Infernal Trinity Records released "Lullaby for the Aborted". The two versions can be told apart by the absence of a guitar solo on the first version of "Reduced to Ash". "37 86" is a 9 minute instrumental heavily influenced by the neoclassical guitar shred subgenre. 1. The American Pipe Dream 2. Reduced to Ash 3. 37 86

Born in Dublin – the third of six children – to an Irish Catholic Family, Simon was brought to England in his first year and raised in the 1950’s and 60’s, the son of a Lancashire coal-miner. With several careers in fields as diverse as financial sales and dyslexia consultancy (“I had kids to feed”), Simon is now focused on his “tertiary career as a singer/songwriter/guitar player”. He says: “It’s what I’ve always most wanted to do – it’s time.”

Over the next eleven years, Bakshi directed seven additional animated features. He is well known for such films as Wizards (1977), The Lord of the Rings (1978), American Pop (1981) and Fire and Ice (1983). In 1987, Bakshi returned to television work, producing the series Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures, which ran for two years. After a nine-year hiatus from feature films, he directed Cool World (1992), which was largely rewritten during production and received poor reviews. Bakshi returned to television with the live-action film Cool and the Crazy (1994) and the anthology series Spicy City (1997).
