Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Herman The Hermit | Clifford Herman Snyder | 1884-1964. Herman settled in Stockton, California and moved in 1922 to Burbank, where, amidst the first movie studios, he and his wife opened the 5 acre Snyder Nursery. With his several hound dogs in tow, he would go hunting in what was then a very rural area. Soon, with his growing contacts and friends in the film biz, he would rent out his hounds as “atmosphere dogs” for movies, often appearing with them as the appropriate background character (One source claims he appeared in 100 films). His unusual “big break” occurred during the filming of 1930’s “The Big Trail” (which featured John Wayne in his first leading role). After playing “Oh Suzanna” on his banjo for the film crew’s evening campfires during the three month location shoot, he was later asked by director Raoul Walsh to play it on the film score. When a popular KEHE radio show host/singer named Stuart Hamblen went to the movies one day and heard the banjo on the soundtrack, he tracked down and hired Snyder for his radio show band. Snyder happened to show up in the long hair and full beard that he had been asked to grow for his Big Trail “pioneer extra” role, whereupon Hamblen christened him “Herman the Hermit,” which immediately became his professional stage name for the remainder of his career. I wonder whether he ever longed to return to a short-haired, clean-shaven appearance – he certainly seems to have embraced the “hermit” character, with a joyous inviting smile in every photo he appears in. When Herman later got his bassist son – also named Clifford (G.) Snyder – a spot in Hamblen’s band, Hamblen nicknamed the lad “Cliffie Stonehead,” simply because he wanted to keep his dad’s “hermit” character intact! The younger Cliff would eventually shorten it to become “[a=Cliffie Stone]” for the remainder of his life. Grandfather of [a601671] and [a1193604]. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Weird Biscuit Teatime | This band started in 2002 after Daevid Allen and Michael Clare had contributed to a few tracks on the [a=Spirits Burning]'s "[r=5485342]" album with Don Falcone. Listening back to the recordings, Michael found that they had a special quality, a real chemistry. He proposed to Don to make an album, just the three of them and a drummer. Daevid Allen called the trio "Weird". Trevor Sabatelli soon joined on drums, and the band was renamed "Weird Biscuit Teatime". They completed the album DJDDAY in 2005 from material provided by Don Falcone that the other shaped and reshaped into something different. Then, they recorded another album in studio, and remotely over a period of several years, from their different corners of the world, bringing in Paul Sears when Trey was unavailable. Their second album [m=963848] was credited to [a=Daevid Allen Weird Quartet] and released soon after the death of Daevid Allen. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Сгоревший холодильник | Max Kotenkov, Alex Tokko | A mythical Russian band whose name means "Burned-Out Refrigerator" (pronounced as "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik"). Having roamed the vast country for years, band members finally settled in Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg) on the western outskirts of Russia. The band consists of Max Kotenkov (guitar, vocals) and Alex Tokko (guitar, vocals). Band members insist that "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik" is much rather a philosophical concept than just a musical outfit. Being a self-contained musical entity, "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik" is closely related to a semi-pirate Kaliningrad formation of music enthusiasts called "Radio Einfall". |

| Search | Add | 2 | Kurt Rasquin | Kurt Billig | German American opera singer (born May 13, 1890 Hamburg, Germany - died November 14, 1940 in Hamburg, Germany) Born Curt Carl Hermann Billig, Rasquin spent some time in Manchester, England. In February 1915, he arrived in the United States, where he worked as an actor and singer. In 1917, he performed at New York's Yorkville Theatre as a member of Adolf Philipp's stock theater company. In February 1921, he became a naturalized U.S. citizen and used the opportunity to adopt his stage name, Kurt Rasquin, as his new legal name. Between 1920 and 1921, Rasquin made numerous recordings of German songs for [l=Columbia], which billed him as a tenor. In the summer of 1922, he also cut 8 sides for the German [l=Vox (3)] label in Berlin; Vox promoted him as a baritone. At the same time, Rasquin increasingly worked as a merchant, traveling back and forth between Germany and the United States. In 1923, he married the widow of a Hamburg merchant, Antonie Mayr-Bertheau, née Fieke, and settled in Hamburg. Between 1931 and 1938, Rasquin lived in Berlin-Charlottenburg, again as a merchant, but then he seems to have moved back once more to Hamburg, where he died of a heart condition in 1940. |
