Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Il Viaggiatore | Gian Paolo Fontani | Gian Paolo Fontani was born in La Spezia on 1983 February 12th. From an early age he feeds a passion for music. In 1999, he begins to ‘play’ with music with a simple software on PlayStation. He starts to get into the music world in 2005, switching to Mac and using Logic, a well-known music production software. After so many years of study and attempts, in 2012 enters into the production world, using the pseudonym ‘Il Viaggiatore’ with the Gamepad Records independent label, debuting with the single ‘Anima’, containing three electronic tracks. One year later, Gian Paolo releases EP ‘Fotogrammi Di Vita’, a mini collection of unpublished tracks. The path of Gian Paolo is colored by other projects, including another single titled ‘Rinascita’ in May 2012 and a few months later, in November, the album ‘Ali Di Azzurro’, containing 20 songs. In Gamepad Records, Gian Paolo continues to produce other tracks and various remixes of songs by other producers. His tracks are placed in various compilations. In 2013 Gian Paolo produces the single ‘Melancholy’ on Italo Rumble Digital independent label, managed by the producer Salvatore De Rubis. He continues to work for both labels and in September of 2014, after a brief stop, Gian Paolo leaves ‘Il Viaggiatore’ pseudonym and he signs with his real name, he produces the single ‘Spirit’ with the orchestral introduction produced by Ruben Paganelli, a well-known musician, arranger and composer who also worked in Media Records alongside Gigi D’Agostino. The 2015 is surrounded by a variety of productions that Gian Paolo produces on its own digital label. In February 2016 Gian Paolo sets up the record label Fountains Records. Time will tell… |

Search | Add | 4 | Fvrtvr | FvRTvR is a two-body locus for demolecularized disco realized through meat shredding, science fiction improvisation. There are no beats here, however, just a relentless pyroclastic flow of robot voices gurgling indecipherable quips of the “baby, that volcano looks so good on you” variety. FvRTvR is [a=Guido Henneböhl] from Germany and [a=Fritz Welch], formerly of the United States, currently residing in the United Kingdom. Guido plays an electronic instrument of his own design. This devise appears to be trapped in the ancient mysteries of circuit bending but it is actually a dynamic oxygen filtration system. There are no longer actual animal bones contained in the main structure of the device but DNA is still detectable in its circuits. Fritz manipulates vibrating surfaces such as drums and cymbals using sticks and objects. He has also devised a method for offsetting syllabic utterances with percussive concussion. FvRTvR music is a keying of voice and instrument. It is an amalgam of planetary shifting and earthbound sentient attachment. It is composed in relation to a belief system which holds that there is a relationship between sonic phenomena and events in the human world.

Search | Add | 4 | Johnny RUBiX | John Ruiz | With inspirations ranging from Beck to Eifel 65, John Ruiz aka Johnny Rubix, prides himself on his ability to create interesting, genre bending music. Perfectly representing the unique artistic landscape of Tucson, Arizona, Rubix's musical range is only limited by his imagination. As a result, it is impossible to place him in any one genre. Pop infused dance numbers such as DamnLove offer a stark contrast to the melodic stylings of a song like "Poison," which showcases Rubix's production abilities. Self taught to play a variety of instruments, Rubix creates his own production soundscapes entirely by himself, often times playing every instrument in the song. Combined with his unique song writing talents, Rubix presents himself as one of the most versatile musicians out of Arizona. Others have taken notice, as Rubix has played massive events such as the 2015 Super Bowl Block Party in Phoenix and the Tucson Hip Hop Festival. Not limiting himself to just the creation of music, Rubix plays with new mixes and blends as a resident DJ at The Hut in Tucson. |

Search | Add | 4 | Steady States | Steady States began as a casual jamming project between Mark and Kyle. After a while, some song ideas developed and they decided to form an actual band. After some false starts with different drummers, they settled on Bob, whose solid, powerful, hardcore punk-informed drumming perfectly complemented Kyle’s melodic bass lines and Mark’s angular, dissonant guitar riffs. The lineup was solidified in February 2011 with the addition of Joel on vocals and guitar. Joel’s unhinged and oddball vocal sensibilities turned out to be well-suited for the band’s strangely natural-sounding mix of hardcore, noise and post-punk skronk.

Search | Add | 4 | Smingus | Smingus | The Polish-American-British band Smingus recently released their new album BLACK DIAMONDS, on Loose Wire Records. The album premiere took place in November 2014. The Band is now preparing a European tour promoting the new album in autumn/winter 2015. The well-travelled multi-national musicians that make up Smingus all met in Krakow, Poland in the mid aughts. Smingus took its time to carve out their own space on the musical landscape by fusing their collective influences to create a unique style steeped in American and British folk as well as blues and experimental rock traditions. Smingus’ debut album LANDSLIDE (2011) garnered glowing reviews and was in heavy rotation on alternative Polish, European and American Radio stations. The band toured heavily behind the album and racked up 150 concerts and festival appearances across Poland and Europe. The pinnacle of the LANDSLIDE tour came on New Year’s Eve 2013 when Smingus played Krakow, Poland’s Market Square just after midnight to an exuberant crowd of over 40,000 people. BLACK DIAMONDS was released in November 2014 on Loose Wire Records and it is full of rich, sonically diverse songs. The album was envisioned as a cohesive sonic experience and even though the sonic pallette may vary song to song, the overall effect of the album is cohesive. Smingus’ songwriting matured a lot from LANDSLIDE and their evolved musicianship, coupled with singer and chief songwriter Dave Molus’ emotionally raw lyrics, are what makes BLACK DIAMONDS a captivating album that listeners will return to time and again. Selected excerpts from BLACK DIAMONDS reviews: "Without a doubt, BLACK DIAMONDS is one of the best Polish albums of the year." Enter The Room - www.entertheroom.pl "The album BLACK DIAMONDS is a production that stands out in many respects. Firstly, we don’t often come across such an international collaboration that includes Polish participation. Secondly, Smingus’ second outing is advanced enough musically that they can easily compete with stars of both the international Folk and Rock scenes.” AltMundi - www.altmundi.pl "Virtually every song on BLACK DIAMONDS is a unique, self-contained work that invites us (this is a bit banal but true) into an entirely new world - a fresh and surprising story. At the same time, BLACK DIAMONDS is very consistent stylistically and despite the perpetual ‘changes’ it somehow offers a cohesive ‘constant’ which allows it to stand up as a collective whole” High Fidelity - www.highfidelity.pl "The tightness of the band in conjunction with a large dose of musical imagination has allowed Smingus to record an album which encapsulates their maturity and perfectly presents their dynamic sonic development. Keep it up!" E-Splot - www .e-splot.pl “BLACK DIAMONDS is a breath of fresh air on the Polish music scene. The richness of sounds and diversity of genres presented in the album ensure that it will strike a chord with many rock enthusiasts." Small Error - www .malyerror.blogspot.com Enjoy your listen and we look forward to working with you in the near future as we book dates for the forthcoming tour. Search | Add | 4 | Phenris | Started as a raw Black Metal / Black 'n' Roll band named Hater, and changed name to Phenris in early 2001 when their style metamorphosed into their current sound with the inclusion of influences from several different Metal genres. Today the band is described as Avantgarde Black Metal musically. Lord J. H. Psycho is one of the founding members of Furor Italicus, an independent Italian underground network of metal musicians, promoters and fans. Halphas and Necrum are also regular active supporters of the circle. Supremacy was a raw black metal side project that some Phenris members founded and sporadically rehearsed as between late 2001 and Spring-Summer 2003; they only recorded a handful of rehearsal tapes (now lost by the band members themselves) that were given away to friends. Endymion is NOT the same keyboardist from Opus Maledicta and [A=Lord Vampyr]. Dario Stolfi was only a drummer for two rehearsals.
