Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Defying classification and freely floating across musical boundaries, she always presents the audience with her own Definition of Electronic Music. |

Their week-long parties, thrown in almost complete darkness at the long-defunct Silver Kly-Maxx Factory, are the stuff of legend. Over three decades on and The Heist is down to the two last surviving members, a pair of incognito veritable DJ-producers, still joyfully entwined in the murky world of nocturnal entertainment - with no sign of slowing in tempo. Despite their current whereabouts a mystery, the pair find time to regularly package off dubplates, worth their weight in gold, from their historic musical archive to London-based label Bona Fido in a bid to share their unique spiritual legacy to the world.

Search | Add | 4 | Bernard Moussali | Bernard Moussali (1953, Beirut -1996, Paris) was an Associate Professor of Arab Literature, and Lecturer at the Sorbonne, he had dedicated his research to Arab Music, with an open-mindedness he passionately defended. Born to a Syrian-Lebanese father and a Belgian mother, he carried within a multiculturality that was at the core of his too short scientific career. Gifted with an uncommon spirit of enquiry and with rare erudition, attentive reader of Ṭabarī, of ‘Abd al-Ghanī al-Nābulsī as well as of Umberto Eco or simply of crime novels, Bernard Moussali was known for his often categorical judgements and his quick wit that made of him and intellectual who was admired as much as he was feared. He published very little, always reworking the texts he patiently prepared. In the field of Arab Literature, we only know of a single course by him, that remained a manuscript, on Maḥmūd Darwīsh’s work; but he had also started writing a History of Contemporary Arabic Literature that remained unfinished. Bernard Moussali had established himself as a well-informed amateur and a passionate listener of early 20th century Arab Music that he thought was more important to immerse oneself in than to analyse. Like Christian Poché or Frédéric Lagrange, he gave priority to archiving, particularly through 78rpm discs that reflected a period he considered to be unjustly forgotten. In this capacity, he contributed, with Christian Poché, to the first CD re-release of Arab Music records (Ocora, Arab World Institute, 1987). His research work mainly concerned the 1932 Cairo Congress of Arab Music. He had dedicated to this subject his master’s dissertation (1980) and was preparing on the same theme a doctorate thesis that was unfortunately interrupted because of his illness. Nevertheless, he participated to the re-release of a selection of 78rpm discs recorded in Cairo in 1932, once again with Christian Poché (IMA, Bnf, 1989). His uncompromising analysis of the debates of the Cairo Congress[1] had raised his awareness about he importance of the influence of Ottoman Music on its Arab counterpart during the last centuries, and he learned Turkish in order to better exploit these sources. He also often pointed out the essential role, ignored later on, of numerous minorities –Christians, Jews and others– as to the origins of “Arab Music”. Regarding the Egyptian hegemonism at the 1932 Congress, he brought out the historical contribution of Syria in the 18th and the 19th centuries. Bernard Moussali mainly published CD booklets, around twenty, including mostly audio archives, but also some live concerts, elevating the disc’s value to that of an anthology, thanks to his always precise erudition as well as to his passionate loquacity: a lyrical listener who knew how to steer himself in an era of statistics and technicity.

Search | Add | 4 | Plain White Toast | Plain White Toast was a Cleveland-based hard-edged/art band primarily active from 1987-1990. Their major influences at the time were: The Cure, King Crimson, Black Sabbath, Hüsker Dü, Sisters of Mercy, New Order, Depeche Mode, Ministry, Loop, etc. Founders Brad Hackley (guitar) and Moz (vocals) formed the outfit in early 1986 along with Ron Hazeloop (bass) and Scott Wolf (drums). Upon Wolf's departure, Hackley recruited drummer Brian Silickas; shortly after, Cam joined for a short stint as bassist. PWT entered the Beat Farm Recording studio in the late spring of '87 to begin work on their self-titled debut EP and performed in their first-ever gig at the Beat Farm Festival that summer. Mixing was not even completed on the recording when Cam was replaced by bassist Dave Hackley. The bass work was re-recorded and the main core of Plain White Toast was set. Throughout 1988-89, PWT played regularly in Cleveland at Pat's in the Flats, plus a few show at The Phantasy and Symposium as well as Cleveland Public Theater, Studio-A-Rama (7-22-89) at Case Western Reserve University and a show in Toledo (Numbers). Sue Hackley also joined the band onstage on many occasions to play oboe. During this period, the band begin recording their second EP Styles and Distortion at Modern Recording Services. By this time, frontman Moz made his exit and a new era began. During late 1989-91, Plain White Toast worked as a trio with brothers Brad and Dave taking over vocal duties. Again, Mike Brady occasionally augmented the band on keyboards. PWT continued to gig; in addition to local shows, they performed in Chicago (Zsar Bar), Murfreesboro, TN (in some hole-in-the-wall near Middle Tennessee State University) and New York City (CBGB's!). Their final EP November Twister was also recorded during this time at Magnetic North Recording. Drummer Silickas departed from the band in October 1991, thus ending an era. Brad and Dave continued the band for a short time after…

Search | Add | 4 | Fabulous Studio Band | In 1953 Musical Director Frank "Buck" Shaffer moved to Porterville, CA and formed The Fabulous Studio Band of about 20 students from both the Porterville High School and the Porterville Community College. The second studio band of its kind in California, FSB went on to play around the world in many famous venues throughout decades. Their third album "Have Band Will Travel" released in 1963(?) is a compilation from the bands songs after being sent on tour to play for GIs in Japan, Okinawa, Korea, and Hawaii. According to buckshaffer.com, "the tour lasted six weeks and the Band appeared on Nippon TV and did a Far East network radio show that followed President Kennedy and his famous address on the Berlin Situation." The fourth album from the FSB, released in 1972(?) "Celebrates 20 Years in the 20th Century" is their last and final album under the direction of Shaffer. Some of these are believed to be recorded/pressed in Santa Maria, CA(?). In 1996 and 2000 two CDs were independently released by the FSB under the direction of Jim Kusserow, "Still Swingin' After All These Years (96)," and "Plays Capitol Jazz (00)." Today the Fabulous Studio Band continues under the direction of Clark Keele.

(All that jazz, Fame, Coyote Ugly & Disco nights) Met andere gezelschappen : Dokter De Vuyst en Rosalie Niemand. Hun motto 'Let's have some fun'.

Search | Add | 4 | Kosmic Four | Members: Fear, Dove, Robe, Yota In 1994 Fearo formed a rap group with fellow grafitti partner Doveroc called Kosmic Four. Quickly they began recording and performing at shows throughout L.A. and Orange County. Finding a fan base that mostly consisted of other graff artists, but due to the never ending varieties in subject matter and political overtones, their appeal spread outside the grafitti realm. In 1997 Kosmic Four recorded their first full length independent release, in which the single "Writers Bench" was featured on D.J. ROB ONE'S "West Coast Indies" mixed tape. Kosmic Four has performed along side COOLIO, FREESTYLE FELLOWSHIP, LIVING LEGENDS, PLANET ASIA, BLACK EYED PEAS, DILATED PEOPLES, LOOT PACK, OMD, J-ZONE, VISIONARIES, MEDUSSA, PSYCHO REALM, BEAT JUNKIES among others. In 1998 Kosmic Four collaborated with YOTA ONE on his debut album EXPERIMENT 31 by the JEDEYES. Soon after this in 1999 they released an E.P entitled LOS ANGRYS, as fate would have it YOTA ONE joined them on this project then in turn joined the group. After a fusion of ideals and their love for a true representation of hip hop they quickly began to work on what would be their 12" single dropped in late 2000 for the album BLUE BIRDZ released in july 2001. Kosmic Four's line up stays strong and steady with FEARO, YOTA ONE, and DOVE ROC. In 2003 They released their fifth installment WRITERS BENCH 2. With the Single "LIFE IZ SICK" released on STRONG HOUSE RECORDS as a B side to their release of an ABSTRACT RUDE's "Got It Like That". Since this time the members have been working on solo projects such as Gallery Shows displaying their artwork and new Music.
