Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Jody Lo | Jody Gray | Jody Lo born JEAUDI GRAY on August 6th in the small town of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Started to fall in love with hiphop at 8 years old after listening to Back For the First time by Ludacris. Adopted the moniker "Jody Lo" at just 13 years old (influenced by the late Atlanta MC Shawty Lo) after Jody gained a signifigant amount of influence from the era of 2004-2009 with the outbreak of seemingly DIY trap music from artists like Shawty Lo, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Lil Boosie, Zed Zilla and Starlito. At the same time still a child of the "Lil Wayne era" which is evident through the admirable lyrical effort put forth by Jody Lo on each track. After practicing writing and reciting for more than 10 years, Jody Lo hit the studio for the first time at 21 years old when he recorded the hustle & flow mixtape, Substance, substance 1.5 & Sack Religion. Also appeared on Dj Smallz Eyes in a 27 minute interview. For the in depth life story check the DJ smallz eyes interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi27N7565WY&t=47s |

Influenced by the New York Dolls, KISS, Hanoi Rocks, Angel City, TKO, Ratt and early Motley Crue, they featured matching hair, makeup and outfits, and continued the crossover vibe of Overlord, Shadow, Bondage Boys and others before them (hard driving heavy metal/hard rock music with a slightly punky singer and street vibe). They were initially a three-piece , then expanded to five-piece with two guitars, ultimately slimming down to a four-piece in the fall of 1985 after Tim Jones left the band. They recorded and self-released a 7" single in 1985, and had a song on the local compilation album, Metal Meltdown, later that same year. They steadily built up a following with their killer live show and original music, but sadly split up in 1988 after failing to land a record deal. Members went on to play in bands such as: War Babies, Sleep Capsule, Black Is Black, Gunn, Rebel, Broken Toys and Palooka. Slaughter Haüs 5 recently reunited for an amazing, and very well-received, live performance for the first time in almost thirty years at the N.W. Metalfest in Seattle in March, 2019.

He earned music degrees from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and Harvard University; and taught music composition and contemporary music for 23 years at the University at Buffalo. Amidst a career of composing mainly for traditional orchestral instruments, Jeff recently began re-exploring analog and digital synthesis, favoring the compositional limitations of small hardware devices like the Elektron Digitakt over the modern practices of laptop-based production. Using various hacks and adaptations, he creates uncanny musical vignettes that feature fat, bass-heavy hip hop and hauntingly otherworldly melodies, while evoking music boxes, retro VHS training videos, and mid-century advertising jingles. In 2021, Jeff will release Signaling, his first album of entirely electronic, beat-oriented music.

Search | Add | 4 | The Nevels Sisters | With powerhouse vocals and energy that electrifies and empowers listeners, the Nevels Sisters aren't your typical gospel girl group. Offering a new style of gospel music dubbed “new traditional thump,” the ladies are the latest gospel artists helping to redefine what the genre looks and sounds like in the contemporary era. Natives of Youngstown, Ohio, the group is made up of four biological sisters: Debra, Veneice, Gail and April. Their singing ministry dates back to their father's church, Nevels Temple Church of God in Christ, where as young girls they warmed the souls of his congregation, delivering their special brand of praise and worship. Encouraged by the overwhelming positive response to their artistry, the sisters ventured out on the road with their father where they further evolved their talents. “The time that we spent on the road has really prepared us for where we are today,” says Gail. “At first, we were unaware of our gifts as artists, but now we are filled with great confidence as we share those gifts in praise of the Lord.” With a push from God that kept moving them forward, the Nevels Sisters eventually caught the ear of gospel music pioneer Vicki Mack Lataillade, who immediately recognized their unique talents. “I was just amazed by their talent and energy,” says Lataillade, who got to work, striking a deal with MoLife Entertainment to bring the Nevels Sisters under her direction at Lataillade Entertainment. “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Vicki and we look forward to where this opportunity will take us in our journey,” says Veneice. At last primed for the big time, the Nevels Sisters are set for their first major label release, It's My Time, coming in April 2011, which offers a sparkling showcase of their mesmerizing talents. While comparisons to other gospel sister acts, like the famed Clark Sisters, are inevitable, the Nevels Sisters are excited to share what they uniquely bring to the gospel music landscape. “To be compared to the legendary Clark Sisters is an incredible honor,” says April. “We certainly hope to do them proud as we walk down the road that they paved, and to keep carrying the torch of excellence with the gifts that God has given the Nevels Sisters.” “Our goal is to make a great impact on people,” says Debra. “Each of us feels that it is an honor and a privilege that we have this opportunity and we don't plan to waste a minute of it.”

Search | Add | 4 | The Boulting Brothers | Boulting brothers was a prolific English filmmakers duo of two identical twins, John Edward Boulting (1913—1985) and Roy Alfred Clarence Boulting (1913—2001), best known for a series of socially conscious comedies in the 1950s and 1960s. The brothers typically worked as a producer-director team, with one of the credits assigned to either John or Roy and the overall production colloquially known as a "Boulting Brothers film." When John Boulting died of cancer in 1985, Roy stopped making films. Roy Boulting began working in film sales around 1933, subsequently moving to production. He served as an assistant director on the 1936 short comedy Apron Fools. John and Roy established their Charter Film Productions company and began directing and filming shorts. A few of their works, such as The Landlady (1937) and Consider Your Verdict (1938), soon gained critical and commercial acclaim. Roy directed his first feature-length Hollywood movie after the Second World War, the Sailor of the King, for [l=20th Century Fox], starring [a=Jeffrey Hunter, Jr.] in 1953. Their second WWII naval war epic, this time for [l=Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer], Seagulls over Sorrento, featuring [a=Gene Kelly] in 1954, had less prominence. In the following decade, Boultings primarily focused on satire to highlight various British societal issues, from academia and corrupted unions to government bureaucracy or the inefficient legal system. The series began with John's look on military life, Private's Progress in 1956, starring [a=Richard Attenborough], [a=Terry-Thomas], and Ian Carmichael; it became the second biggest box office hit in the UK that year. The Lucky Jim followed in 1957, adapted from an eponymous novel by [a=Kingsley Amis] and set in academia. In 1966, the brothers directed and produced [m=257716], a northern comedy with [a=Paul McCartney]'s soundtrack starring John Mills and his teenage daughter [a=Hayley Mills]. Roy Boulting and Hayley had a 33-year age difference but began a relationship during the shoot; they married in 1971. (In 1987, [a=The Smiths] used The Family Way's still-frame as a cover for [m=21109] single.)

After breaking up his band [a=The Chess-mates] in 2007 Mickey decides to go solo due to communication problems with other people. In order not to get too lonely Mickey creates a fictional character “Dr. Albert Flipout” (the tin-can Latin shaker attached to his left foot that works as a snare drum in his one man band project) and names the band after him, “Dr. Albert Flipout’s one CAN* band” . The third "member" of the band is the mysterious Jess on the cymbals. You can see a picture of them all on the back of the album's cover. * CAN: a) A Can, is a metal container in which something such as food, drink, or paint is put. b) You use CAN to indicate that someone has the ability or opportunity to do something.

From the drum and the flute, piano and harmonium, from the E-Gittare to organ, by the trumpet for Jew's harp. This is the musical path. From the State Opera and the circus to a television and film industry to the media. He accompanied two bands, invented a cultural festival , produced many video clips. And then, after years - purchase of an organ from the 1970's years. It was like a lightning bolt. Boom! That's been a while since. But out there! Is that the Groove?

Search | Add | 4 | Tom Gardberg | Tom Gardberg | Born 1941. A Finnish singer and songwriter. Trubaduuri Tom Gardberg (s. -41) aloitti jazzmusiikin parissa 14-vuotiaana. Hän oli mukana, kun turkulainen "Harlem Jazz Club" otti ensiaskeleitaan vuonna 1961 ja kuuluu edelleen elinvoimaisen Clubin jamimestareihin. Vuonna 1966 Tom perusti laulelmaseuran "Sällskapet Visans Vänner i Åbo", joka on maan toiseksi vanhin laulelmaseura. Tom on toiminut varsinaisen leipätyönsä ohella trubaduurina vuodesta 1964 lähtien, jolloin hän voitti Turun ruotsinkielisen "Ponnahdus pinnalle" -laulelmakilpailun. Vuonna 1965 Tomin laulelma Natthamn - Yösatama sijoittui kolmanneksi kilpailussa, jossa Tove Janssonin ja Erna Tauron kappale Höstvisa sai toisen palkinnon. Vuonna 1979 hän voitti Siipyyn laulelmakilpailun laululla Någon nynnar en vals ja 1989 Kotkan meripäivien merimieslaulukilvan laululla Yöpurjehdus. Tom Gardberg on julkaissut kaksi LP-levyä ja vuonna 2002 tupla-CD:n, joka sisältää jokseenkin koko hänen siihenastisen tuotantonsa. Sama materiaali on julkaistu nuottivihkosena Schildts -kustantamon toimesta. "Laulelmantekijänä Tom Gardberg edustaa yli neljän vuosikymmenen kattavalla tuotannollaan trubaduuriperinteen absoluuttista kärkeä. Hänen laulujensa taustalta kuultaa menneitten vuosikymmenten kotimusisoinnin perinne". Gardbergin aihepiiri liikkuu meren, saariston, perheen ja suurten eksistentiaalisten kysymysten ympärillä."
