Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 10 | Tierra Cero | 'Tierra Cero' is a Mexican Boy-band that originated from the Mexican Telenovela called 'Mi Querida Isabel' (1996 to 1997), where the young actors appeared as waiters who sung and danced at a bar. In the soap opera there were around 7 actors in the band, including Paulo Quevedo (Real Name: Paulo César Quevedo de la Vega) and Christian Carabias, with other lesser known actors. Later, a contest was launched by the Mexican Celebrity Magazine 'TvyNovelas' to give the band a name, and the name that won was 'Tierra Cero'. In 1997, their first single 'Te Amaré' was included in the 'Mi Querida Isabel' Soundtrack CD and released to radio as a promotional single. The original line-up during this time was Paulo Quevedo, Christian Carabias, Rafael León (Real Name: Rafael León De Los Cobos) and Sebastián. Paulo Quevedo was the lead vocal during this time. Later that same year of 1997, their debut album was launched with Jorge Da Silva (Real Name: Jorge De Silva Murray) in replacement of Sebastián, alongside Paulo, Christian and Rafael. Their first single of their debut album was 'Porque Te Amo', while the 'Mi Querida Isabel' track 'Te Amaré' was also included in this album. For their second and third albums (1998-2000) the lineup was changed with Erick Elías and Luigi Balestra (Cousin of Daniel Merlo who is a group member of the famous latin boy-band 'Mercurio') taking the place that Jorge Da Silva (he went on to pursue acting) and Paulo Quevedo (he went to latin boy-band 'Kairo') left. Luigi Balestra was the lead vocal during this time.

Search | Add | 10 | Mario Cee | Mario Cee | Mario Cee has been a familiar face on the London underground dance scene for many years. Born in London, Mario's career began in Cyprus (his parents' home country) and took off upon his return to the Thameside warehouse scene a few years later. After having covered most of the urban dance genres as a DJ, he then moved into the recording studios as a sound engineer for artists such as [a=Leftfield], [a=Peter Andre], [a=Shola Ama] and [a=Dreadzone], which led to remix work for [l=Chrysalis] Records. This caught the attention of [a=Robert Trunz] who signed Mario to his [l=M.E.L.T. 2000] label and, as a result, production work with a number of the South African artists signed to it. He collaborated with percussive maestros [a=Amampondo] and [a=Mabi Thobejane], South African diva [a=Busi Mhlongo] and the [a=Bushmen Of The Kalahari], all of which gave him a feel for organic rhythms and global musical styles. He then moved on to explore the more modern kwaito sounds coming out of the cities on the continent by remixing one of the best selling singles by [a=Mandoza]. Similar work followed with [a=Shana (4)], General, and [a=Gabi Le Roux]. Mario Cee has also launched his own [l=Kronologik] label. |

Search | Add | 10 | Country Girl Kay | Helen Evelyn Kay Whittaker-Gardner | Born March 7, 1923 in Buffalo, Missouri Died March 17, 2002 in Spokane, Washington Kay and her sister Wanda grew up as country singers, and were regular performers on KWTO in Springfield, Missouri ("The Smith Sisters"). Wanda met and married singer Ted Henderson and they went on to perform and tour as the country duo "Wanda and Ted." Ted introduced Kay to Carson Jack Whittaker, a Livingston Montana singer who was looking for a duet partner. The two traveled the US, performing as a duo, and in the 1940s they married, eventually moving back to Montana. Carson Jack then gave up performing to became Kay's manager, and she was soon billed Country Girl Kay. They formed the Whitkay record label during this time (recording at Valtron Studios in Helena). Carson Jack was murdered July 1964, while hitchhiking near Afton, Wyoming. According to media coverage of the crime, when the accused shooter was discovered, he had in his possession a suitcase containing "unpublished songs" written by Kay. (The Whitkay recordings were all made before 1964, as Kay did not record after her husband's death - but the exact year the singles were made is not determined). Kay stayed in Montana, and later married Bill Gardner, who moved the couple to Cutbank. In 1975 Bill passed away and she moved to Kalispell, where she taught music, and performed locally. In 1999 she relocated to Washington state, to be closer to her son. She died in a nursing home in Spokane, and is buried in Buffalo, Missouri. (source: Lisa Wheeler) |

Annuimmo. E non osammo più parlare innanzi.

In the early 1960s, he began appearing with [a389779], whose label [l285322] featured several releases with Tuck as a songwriter, featured vocalist, or both. The two appear to have worked together on many occasions between 1964 and 1984. By 1967, Tuck had relocated to Streator, Illinois, playing local clubs with groups billed as Red Tuck & The Curios, Red Tuck & The Hobos, and The Red Tuck Show, as well as with other local artists such as [a5983444], [a1562418], and vocalist/drummer Alfonzo "Al" Martin. Tuck's greatest success as a songwriter may have been "Laugh the Years Away," which appeared on the 1973 album [r4802476]. Newspaper articles sometimes reported that he had written songs for [a135946] and [a693015], but without indicating any song titles related to those artists. Tuck continued performing at Streator-area clubs into 1996, at which time he retired from performing regularly after being discouraged by the rising influence of karaoke. Howard "Red" Tuck died October 18, 2010, in Streator, Illinois, after a battle with cancer. |

The Goup began to write their own material focussing upon songs about the Black Country- an area often described as “ all those towns and villages situated on the 30 foot coal seam”. It roughly encompasses Dudley, Cradley Heath, parts of Wolverhampton, Walsall and West Bromwich, in the UK. The Group formed its own show- The Giggetty Black Country Show- which featured the cream of the local guest artists and comedians such as Anuyk and Ayli, Dolly Allen, Tommy Mundon, poets Ron Burns, Harry Harrison, Jim Williams and Geoff Stevens, historian Winston Homer and more latterly the superbly talented Dandy and Black Country stalwart Lizzie Wiggins. The Group gigged their way through three decades at the rate of 100 appearances a year. The last original member, Brian Langtry, retired eventually due to health reasons in 1997

Search | Add | 10 | Omer Coleman Jr. | Omer Gene Coleman II | Born: Sep 4, 1953 Died: Nov 17, 2020 Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri in the late 1970’s Omer was running a mobile disco that ended up using live instruments. It incorporated a spectacular stage show with smoke and light effects. Along with other stage props, including a spaceship styled car, the stage attention inspired him to create his first solo album in the early 1980’s under his moniker “Starship Commander Woo-Woo”. The record itself had a small amount of local success, enough that he started his own label “[l59710] Records”. The name "[l59710]" is actually his first name "Omer" spelled backwards. Releasing 2 Electro styled tracks similar to “Egyptian Lover” and others groups from that era he finally scored a local hit. Omer independently wrote, recorded, produced and released all of his records. By the late 1990’s after his frustrations with radio jocks and the way promotions let him down, he had moved to a gospel sound. Working with young talents and helping to get gospel based hip-hop artists more awareness, he is still active in the community. |

It is independent from the Kaleidarkness corpus, though obviously connected to it... МДМ (initialism for "Mагия Для Mасс", which means "Magic for the Masses") is the very free expression or my experience of the Slavic world through the prism of my Art. Nothing in my life predestined me to discover this particular world, be it my origins, or my preferences, and definitely not the fact of coming from a "country" which purposefully tends to reduce it to "communism"... Far from that pathetic and obviously false binary approach, my discoveries so far on the contrary led me to fascinating countries, people, and Art, who greatly inspired me, and opened new paths for my own Art...

Born in the city of Rio Claro to July 4, 1921, the artist was baptized as Irene Aparecida Raymondo. His father was Calabrian and his mother was Rio Clarense, Portuguese daughter of Leiria, a city of the province of Beira Alta. So I ran in the veins of the Italian artist and blood Lusitanian. Upon completing 12 years in 1933, he was living with his family in the railway village in Alto da Serra (current Paranapiacaba). To the amusement of the locals had the Club Lira Serrana where Irene had his first contact with fado - and was in love with this musical rhythm! When he was 15 years asked for the consent of the mother and stepfather to study singing and Portuguese guitar with Professor Alfredo Bastos, a renowned guitarist established in the city of Santos, São Paulo coast. Bastos ran a program in the Atlantic Radio entitled "Saudades de Portugal", broadcast weekly on Thursdays. It was here that Irene premiered at Radio. It was advertised as Irene Raymondo and always heard the following comment: "Raymondo is no last name for a singer." But soon arrumaria a new last name ... Around 1939 Irene began to study singing with Professor Joaquim Gallas, in São Paulo. He met Manoel dos Santos Coelho, a Portuguese "good looking", marketer and also a student of Gallas. The fact is that the two fell in love and eventually married in July 1940. After nine months of marriage, Coelho presented his wife with a radio program. They christened it with the name of "Portuguese Melodies". Premiered on Sunday, 13.4.1941 by the waves of Radio Cosmos. Irene always referred to the program as her "first child". At a time when women were repressed - most husbands did not like to see their wives become artists - the case of Irene was the opposite: Manuel was the biggest supporter of his wife, he contributed as can for her to become a "star" . In 1942 the couple Rabbit decided to try his luck in Rio de Janeiro - cultural and artistic hub of Brazil. The interpreter's intention was to make a record. They acted feedback artists and the very Irene Coelho (headlining). When "Portuguese Melodies" completed its silver jubilee in April / 1966 Irene and Manuel decided to treat yourself to a walking trip to Portugal.
